nikon_z24-120_f4Nikon Z 24-120mm f/4 S

Pros: Versatility, optical performance, weight, focal range, S line.....

Cons: Nothing for me

Opinion: First of all, I would like to say that making a comparison with fixed lenses I find it meaningless, if you buy a zoom you have to compare it to another lens in its category, I made the choice based on the younger brother 24/70 F 4 S of which I was already satisfied but I wanted to add those 50 mm that allow me to leave other lenses at home and travel lighter, mission accomplished. Traded in taking advantage of the cash back I didn't even suffer that much from the cost. Before making the purchase I was able to do comparison tests thanks to the shopkeeper who allowed me to shoot freely with the two lenses mentioned, in my opinion the differences are few and minimal, the 24/120 I find it more "gripable" excellent the choice of buttons that I find comfortable to set quick functions, the stabilizer is true but from Z6 onwards the stabilized sensor compensates abundantly. In my shots I found a better definition in the night by the 24/120 perhaps because of some higher quality lens compared to the 24/70 but nothing exaggerated, for everything else they both behave well, I use it on Nikon Z8 and sometimes I even go to DX with a remarkable quality despite the cropped sensor. Definitely recommended.

brightin_star_9mmBrightin Star 9mm f/5.6

Pros: Creative: Construction, Angle, Definition, Price, Minimal Distortion

Cons: Little appreciated by detractors

Opinion: I had the opportunity to try this lens for a few days and I must say that I find it succeeded at least on a par with some other lenses in its category, let's not compare it with optics that cost twice as much please because it is a third-party lens that should fall into the economy category but in my opinion it defends itself very well and I don't think that an average grade with 6 is an "honest" thing Then everyone has their own needs but I find it inadequate to expect more in terms of value for money. I didn't notice any particular AC and in any case they are easily corrected, little vignetting that at f8 improves a lot and I find the sharpness good already closing an aperture but I reiterate that it is not an F 2 ..... I placed the order on the official website where among other things the price is the best and for the use I will make of it it is excellent. The alternatives would be 7Artisan 9mm with a slightly higher cost and without the possibility of applying internal filters but in the end I think it is the same lens and alternatively the Laowa 9mm ..... the choice is yours. UPDATE 10/02/2025 canceled the order on the official website as it did not guarantee me delivery without ancillary taxes so I placed the order on Amazon following the Juza link. After a few shots with my sample I can confirm that I find it satisfactory, small ACs appear depending on the direction of the light and a slight distortion that I noticed more difficult to correct with Lightroom than with other programs, perhaps due to the fact that there is no profile for this lens but with a "4 pennies" program it corrects perfectly. In conclusion, I would say that it is worth having if you are a lover of extreme focal lengths and have the patience to set focus and exposure manually, it is not an optic for fast use.

nikon_z14-24_f2-8Nikon Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S

Pros: Weight balance in reference to the focal length superb optical rendering

Cons: Against? the "expert" critics know everything......

Opinion: I state that I had the opportunity to try it well with a friend for a comparison with the 14-30 brother and yes..... It costs what it is worth, there are differences that you pay and this justifies the price but does not make you regret the money spent. Those who define both the 14-24 and the 14-30 of very poor quality must have in their backpack the "monsters" f 1.2 or even f 0.95 but they make comparisons and give meaningless judgments because two lenses rated with 9.6 the 14-30 and 9.9 the 14-24 I don't think they have been reviewed by donkeys so something sounds strange to me. In my opinion, the 14-24 is a professional lens that must be appreciated for what it does and the files I brought home are respectable combined with the Nikon Z8 and Nikon Z6II, then there is always to take into account that it is always the light that makes the difference.

nikon_z14-30_f4sNikon Z 14-30mm f/4 S

Pros: Optical yield weight dimensions price

Cons: Do you really give?

Opinion: I read the review by a user of this lens who calls it "bad" and I find it a little exaggerated, citing it as against the brightness knowing that it is an f4 what sense does it make if you then praise lenses that have an f8 as a maximum aperture? Having said that, I make my comparison with the previous 14-24 f 2.8 for reflex cameras that at full aperture on the edges was really poor, here in my opinion I give up an aperture in favor of sharpness because the old one at full aperture took definition in an evident way with the 14-30 this does not happen to me. I use it indoors handheld very often on Nikon z8 and only in a few situations do I have to raise the ISO to avoid blur. I think it is excellent in everything, only the block that was avoidable for me bothers me. Definitely recommended

nikon_z85_f1-8Nikon Z 85mm f/1.8 S

Pros: Simply at a high level there are no discussions.

Cons: But really?

Opinion: I want to point out that comparing this lens to a Sigma I find it out of place as well as to other brands of different brightness, it is like saying that a 500 is slower than a Mercedes.... Having said that, my opinion on this lens is positive on everything, even on price and weight, finding it heavy for a few grams more in proportion to the yield seems absurd to me, also because those who have had the "lightest" version for reflex do not regret it, so I don't see the reason to report it as a con. I was able to shoot at 1/15 without the slightest choppy problem with both Z6II and Z8 so no regrets for the money spent.

Pros: In my opinion, few find it overrated

Cons: Really poor definition at the edges at full aperture, weight, balance on all the reflex bodies in my possession embarrassing

Opinion: I owned this lens purchased after careful examination of the reviews but I was disappointed, maybe my specimen was defective but up to f8 the definition at the edges was embarrassing, I find it absurd to buy a lens of this aperture and then have to use it from f8 onwards, I switched to mirrorless and the comparison with the 14-30 f4 is merciless, I find the Nikon Z-series definitely superior in everything and I have not regretted the change.

nikon_z8Nikon Z8

Pros: Autofocus, ergonomics, aesthetics considering it's an ML, excellent files as a range.

Cons: Ouch...... Batteries for those who do birdlife are never enough, a few episodes of loss of focus in the tracking field but when it locks on it is always on the eye.

Opinion: After a couple of months I think I have acquired a minimum of useful information to say what my completely personal feelings are. The least appreciated thing was the autonomy of the batteries in the birdlife sessions with moving subjects, very poor too much I would say but I hope for a firmware update since the first one did not give any effect. The autofocus is magnificent but not infallible, you have to make an ideal configuration for every situation but in some cases it happened to me that it did not perfectly lock the subject on the eyes but most of the time it does its job well. Those who say that at high ISO it is like the Z6 II perhaps did not do comparative tests on the exact same scene at the same time, having both bodies and having taken the same shots to verify the differences I can say that the younger sister I find it "cleaner" after ISO 6000 where the Z8 makes the files plasticky and unpleasant for me. At the moment I'm ignoring the question because all the optics in my possession have never had any hooking problem and I don't use the strap rings because the camera for most of the time remains fixed on the gimbal therefore without strap. For hand use I found the handle very ergonomic, in fact at the presentation at the end of July, where I picked it up for the first time, it took a couple of minutes to decide that it would be my decisive choice. One thing I found really annoying was the fact that both Capture One and Photoshop with Lightroom and Camera Raw didn't read the files to me. NEF, downloaded the latest version of Camera Raw now works as well as co Lightroom are waiting for updated C1. In my opinion, since there is no perfect camera, I evaluate this one with a score of 9.5, maybe a contribution from Nikon at the firmware level will raise the prices, but this is already a lot of stuff.

nikon_z180-600Nikon Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR

Pros: Very responsive autofocus, balanced on Nikon Z8 thanks to the fact that it does not extend into the zoom, excellent definition despite being a zoom.

Cons: Waiting for it for a long time.

Opinion: Arrived a few days ago directly from Nital, I was waiting because of the pre-order but the delivery was quite fast. Bought to replace the Sony 200-600 which I was totally satisfied with but the camera body I found a disaster so having all the rest of the Nikon kit I took the step and took the Nikon Z8 to which I added the 180-600 as far as birdlife is concerned. Very satisfactory first shots, in my humble opinion it is the twin of the Sony both in sharpness and in construction and balance, perhaps the Nikon is a hair faster with the focus but it could be an advantage also derived from the Z8 which I find to be a lightning bolt. I like very realistic colors and depending on the focal length and aperture used it gives a very pleasant blur. Even handhand it didn't break my wrists despite a fairly intense day, excellent the collar with the foot of the size that I think is right for transport, a flaw the lack of the swiss ark mount for the tripod, I remedied it with an adapter but it took very little to do the perfect things. I also find the price affordable for the product, if you compare the various universals you don't have to think about it for a moment. For me promoted with a 9.5 UPDATE October 2023 a flaw in my opinion serious is that the support collar if left loose so that you can rotate the lens after a while YOU OPEN(!!!!) and you risk finding the lens on the ground, bad thing Nikon is not possible to have to resort to an open and close of the fixing screw continuously. UPDATE January 2024. I bought a cover to protect the lens and I found it fantastic also because it covers the "foot" of the collar and this prevents it from opening as mentioned earlier in the comment, it is true that it costs over 100 coffees but it looks like a tailor tailor with excellent materials.

nikon_z50_f1-8sNikon Z 50mm f/1.8 S

Pros: Sharpness construction materials autofocus balance and much more.

Cons: I got around the only negative point by buying it used .

Opinion: Those who make comparisons with the AF-S with F1.4 aperture of photography understand very little, it is not an intelligent logic. I am satisfied with the general performance of this lens, used with Nikon Z6 II the result I find excellent, well-calibrated colors excellent blurred despite being "only" a 50mm, in the tests it held very well even in backlight and in the lines I did not notice particular distortions. Unfortunately Nikon sometimes forces us to turn to the import market because the Nital warranty comes to cost too much, I took it used because it was a good opportunity otherwise I would have taken a ride on the web. For me promoted with flying colors as long as you use it for what it is without deluding yourself of having another goal. P.S. the portraits in my gallery have nothing to do with the optics in question and were developed at the request of the models, I'm not a professional so I gladly play to do what is indicated to me without pulling it too much. As regards Mr. Alex I did not hide behind a keyboard because I have no reason, I express my judgment as you expressed yours giving a mediocre judgment to the optics Z thing clearly in contrast with most users who do not seem so naive and then the images posted speak for themselves for those who want to accept them, I remain of the idea that you do not compare two lenses of different class especially when you are biased, I do not add anything else.

ttartisan_11_fisheyeTTArtisan 11mm f/2.8 Fisheye

Pros: Used price, Nikon Z mount,

Cons: Sharpness below expectations, diaphragm ring decliced.

Opinion: I had other fisheye in the past then with the "migration" to mirrorless I sold them but I felt the lack of a creative perspective so I started looking for a used and I found what I was looking for, a cheap fisheye with attack for Nikon Z. For my experience this Artisan is not even remotely comparable to those had in the past type Sigma 15mm and Nikon 10.5 but the value for money makes it attractive for the fact that it is really used on special occasions. In my humble opinion the sharpness is lower than expected even at closed apertures and you have to resort to PP to increase the definition, nothing tragic if I consider what it cost me but I was used to better glass. If you look for it to "play" is fine and makes you have fun especially if you find a good light but I do not consider it a screaming lens on full frame, let's say that on my behalf it deserves a vote 7 for the fact that there are no better alternatives for the Nikon Z if not with FTZ adapter and a few hundred euros more, But is it really worth it? Sometimes you have to settle for it and all in all this lens defends itself quite well.

sony_fe200-600Sony FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS

Pros: Zoom without extension, color rendering price definition (considering it is Sony) buttons

Cons: Personally I don't see any

Opinion: Purchased to replace another telezoom I found myself definitely satisfied, the weight is the right one for such an optics considering that the equivalent Tammy (only tried) weighs less but looks like a toy and did not give me a feeling of robustness. I took a few thousand shots before giving a judgment and I must say that on the Sony A7 III goes a wonder, the detail I find it very high compared to the previous one in my possession (which I do not even want to name but it was an "original") really fast focus well balanced and with very comfortable and intuitive keys. I was also amazed by the colors but perhaps there is also the merit of the sensor that I think has a weight in the yield but with a Tamron 28-200 that in any case I like the result is not the same. It is not that there is much more to add, I have not found any negative side and I am not one who is easily satisfied, now I look forward to the summer to put it back in motion.

tamron_28-200rxdTamron 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD

Pros: Value for money detail even at the focal mass weight price and versatility

Cons: Against????? maybe the fact that they didn't give it to me.

Opinion: Optics purchased from my shopkeeper as used but didn't even have fingerprints on it, perfect with 5 year Polyphoto warranty paid 20% less than new, a bargain. Taken for the Sony A7 III since I only had the 200-600 and I wanted a kind of all-rounder without fainting I looked on the site for the optics that had been of interest to me, the originals I discarded them all, although certainly better as quality the price was not within my budget and among the alternatives this gem popped up. Tried in a day not really ideal as light made me very beautiful files, I was immediately convinced by the sharpness of the images and the rendering in general. One of the small "flaws" that I detected is the distortion towards the edges especially at the maximum focal length but nothing dramatic because the 70-200 f2.8 also does it so just a small correction in post and you saved a few hundred euros. For what is my experience with this lens I would definitely recommend it. I've heard rumors that versions from Thailand are to be avoided because they are less quality but I trust Tamron. Promoted with flying colors.

sony_a7iiiSony A7 III

Pros: Responsive autofocus battery life excellent hold at high ISO

Cons: Needless to mention the menu because now even the blind know that it is painful.

Opinion: I bought the Sony A7 III as a replacement for the Nikon Z6 having the Z6 II and I wanted to improve the system as far as nature photography is concerned so I switched to Sony because with Nikon I had a series of problems with the paired Z6II and Nikon 200-500, sold the brick I replaced it with the 200-600 Sony and.... a whole other story. But let's move on to the camera body, the Sony A7 III grips much worse than the Nikon Z6, in fact I had to resort to the battery grip to have a better grip, the buttons seem to have been removed from some children's toys, too small even for me that I have medium-small hands let alone for others. The yield of the sensor in my opinion after several tests I think is very similar if not equal to the Z6 II, excellent hold at high ISO I also shot at 12800 and the files I still find them very clean but be careful because with daylight it behaves very well with the night I have not yet tried but I am afraid that the dark is not his favorite bread. The battery life was a pleasant surprise, considering the use with the display almost always active makes me twice the shots of the Z6. The sore point now known is the menu ...... obscene thing that I have never seen, if it were only for that the vote would be 1 just not to put zero, not by chance the next release of the Sony A7 IIII provides a whole new menu, it would be nice and HONEST by Sony to release an update for the poor unfortunate owners of the series 3 that includes the new menu just to remedy the ca..... ta done so far. As for the autofocus nothing to say, very responsive and if set in the right way does not miss a shot, already ..... but to set the various options depending on the subject you have to resort to the menu, other blasphemies coming soon. In practice, to become familiar with the various items of this damn menu I took a month and I played paradise, fortunately there are various tutorials that come to help but Sony should be ashamed and provide at least to release a PDF that is understandable and equipped with some informative drawing instead of what I downloaded and threw away. Ultimately the total vote is an 8 not to infuriate, also because this body I will use it only for birdlife and once the autofocus is set I no longer move it, in essence a sort of love-hate that could have gone better but all in all maybe over time I will get used to it. Should I recommend it? I do not know, who has in anticipation the purchase is better that first go to the store to feel the product as you do with shoes then decides, I was in a bit of a hurry otherwise I do not know if I would have made another choice but the alternative was the Nikon Z9 that at the moment does not fall within my possibilities so it's okay so.

nikon_z70-200_f2-8Nikon Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S

Pros: Autofocus sharpness balancing color rendering

Cons: Only the piece, Nital on the lenses is exaggerating both in quality and in cost.

Opinion: True that the quality you pay but considering the nital piece and the import one I found myself forced to take the zoom from an unofficial emperor where I saved 25%, having said that the optics have an impressive sharpness already at TA and a blurry one that personally makes me want to sell the Nikon 85mm 1.8 S. If it does not bother you to spend considerable amounts is to be taken into account. Rated 10 which if it weren't for the cost would also be 11....

nikon_afs200-500_f5-6vrNikon AF-S Nikkor 200-500mm f/5.6 E ED VR

Pros: Optical quality slightly superior to the competition. Autofocus very good but not perfect on ML, with Z6II sometimes loses the subject but I think it's because of the FTZ adapter. Color rendering and very good definition in proportion to the cost.

Cons: NITAL ASSISTANCE took about 2 years to fix a problem, if that's the best guarantee to let it go, a shame.

Opinion: After buying it used I took the first shots, unpresentable photos with split images so I took it to assistance since luckily (????) was still under warranty Nital, after various adventures and a couple of years of unused was sent to Germany to Nikon Europe where they finally fixed it (at least at the moment it works well). Having said that I would add that I have done comparative tests with two other competition optics. Sammy too heavy and unbalanced but still performing, Tammy light but AF slow and construction that looks like a toy so in the end I prefer the 100mm less but a fixed diaphragm at 5.6 and a VR that I find very good. It is not the lens to take for a walk if you are not physically gifted and my back does not allow me so for birdlife I mount it on Gimbal and I feel satisfied. I just add that it always takes a good light for these canvases otherwise there is no point complaining. In conclusion, I vote 9.5 to the target, for Nital I do not speak to avoid a complaint .....

nikon_afs18-140Nikon AF-S 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR

Pros: Versatile lightweight

Cons: Disappointed by the lack of sharpness at the long focals, I sell it to move to 16/80

Opinion: Purchased by reading the various opinions here but in my opinion it is not valid as reviewed, at the most extensive focal points it has a lack of sharpness and the VR did not satisfy me, if you want to travel light it is fine but nothing more. In its favour it has the price but this factor affects quality, those who praise it have not made comparisons with other lenses, I consider it a poor objective when compared with optics such as 16/80 towards which it has the only advantage of cost.

nikon_tc1-4_v2Nikon TC-14E II

Pros: Quality of construction without compromise, weight, yield .....

Cons: I'm still looking for them ......

Opinion: By now everything has already been said about this accessory, what could I add without the risk of being repetitive? very few things if not anything ...... Purchased used by a user Juza I thank you I tried with the Nikon D750 and Nikon 300 f / 4 ED PF lens gives me a lot of satisfaction because with the crop at 1.5 I find myself a 630mm f / 5.6 with a very satisfactory quality, yes it is not the 600 f / 4 but my wallet does not cry quandi is fine. If you find it used I recommend it even if I have struggled to find one in conditions I would say equal to the new and at a very fair price. Ah .... taken to replace the Kenko 2X DG 300 PRO that I never used because disappointing even if it maintained the autofocus and the quality was from grade 5, this Nikon is worth at least 9. Someone put as "against" the fact that it is compatible only with some objectives, I find it a "pro" because to mount a multiplier for example on a 50 mm to have a 70mm I find it ridiculous as well as mount it on zoom type 16-35, if you wantyou increase the focal length of such a lens at the cost of this multiplier you buy a lens of equal focal length without losing a diaphragm ..... or not?

Pros: Definition of high level, very good construction, price and stabilizer even if not the best but good

Cons: Versus? Nothing for me

Opinion: Purchased by a user Juza, I just say that I find it spectacular, has a detail that I did not imagine, used in portraits left me speechless in the macro despite having done only a few shots I returned the words .... truly exceptional. I had the Nikon 60 series G but I wanted to get to 105 I was undecided whether to stay at home Nikon or not, well I did not regret.

Pros: WEIGHT!!!! dimensions and materials that look great. VR good but to be deactivated quickly, otherwise it becomes harmful. Very good AF when setting the appropriate priority to the subject.

Cons: Someone complains about the price but what alternative is there at the same cost ????

Opinion: I purchased this lens after a long reflection and documenting on various sites, primarily JUZA, and I decided to replace the Tokina 300 f2, 8 which gave me a lot of satisfaction and for this reason I was undecided.rnOra after a few hundred shots I am going to MODIFY the previous review for the second time .... rnSolved the problem of the definition with fine focus adjustment (goal maybe starred ???) rnPer regarding the VR is spectacular but we must remember to deactivate it with short time otherwise it creates problemirnPer the weight I must say that Nikon this time has passed, willingly sacrifice a diaphragm for a couple of kg less with the recent machines is offset by the ISO and for me it is not worth the expense for a f / 2.8 that already I had but it was exaggeratedly heavy, who photographs all day with the machine around his neck sooner or later arrives at this 300 .... Tested out of curiosity even with the macro tubes and I must say that I find it very much nteressante, I took a 1/20 freehand with VR and I have more than good files.rnBut my judgmentit is more than positive as long as there is a favorable light, otherwise it does not forgive and does not do miracles.rnP.S. I posted in the forum a small post where I inform users who do not yet know that you can use the collar for the stand of 70/200 f4 because they have the same diameter, another little applause to the Nikon that sometimes guesses.

Pros: Price on the used market also because out of production, light compact (even if the catadioptrics is not the smallest) and I would say fun despite being an F8.

Cons: The only other is to have sold it.

Opinion: I bought this lens used to very few euros and I thought that I would sell it well and so it was ..... I tried in several occasionsio and has always behaved very well compared to other "cata" I had, a Vivitar sold for indecency, a Tamron, however, has defended itself to great but the Nikon was my favorite to the point of having regretted having sold it, in fact now I look for another. Technically we would go the tripod for proper use but I have always mounted on the car when the light was very good and I took only freehand with very satisfactory results, the focus is its strong point you can play as with no ' another lens and at the end with little expense. Do not fool yourself into doing stellar things you have to take it for what is a catadioptric but I have always had one in the kit.

nikon_24-70g_f2-8Nikon AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8 G ED

Pros: The word itself says ..... "PRO" sharpness, colors very close to reality but always depends on how the body is set (!!!) good even without the VR, I do not need because I still do not have the dance of San Vito and then there are the tripod, autofocus without problems ..... price if you find it used.

Cons: Those who complain of weight and size do not take it there are alternatives plasticoni.

Opinion: Before giving my personal opinion on this goal I wanted to try it for a few months ..... well, I struggled to the first shots to "understand" this glass but in the end we got confident and now we go of love and d ' agreement. I really like the colors and the sharpness that makes me even the TA AF I find it sufficiently reactive even with poor light on the Nikon D610 I can imagine on better bodies .... I do not understand who defines it as a "palsticone" or complains about weight, or have not understood or demand more, which in my opinion becomes difficult, I made several shots with this lens and honestly I did not find any defects. Resign yourself to pay the price of the weight if you want optics of level otherwise renounced to the quality. I shot at ISO 6400 during a show at the circus with this little gem and in that case he "started" to lose something but just below gave me extremely good files. As soon as possible I will post some pictures ....... finally my judgment is "accattavevillo".rnAGGIORNAMENTO .... passed to the Nikon D750 I had the pleasant surprise that with this body makes it even better, especially at high ISO I am amazed at the yield, in essence I think I will never sell it.

Pros: I find that it is well built, excellent performance even at TA good even the AF, tried in difficult situations defends well against the light with very little flare.

Cons: On my own account, I never use it very willingly.

Opinion: I bought this lens found used in a shop where I also tried an 8 mm Samyang and I must say that the choice fell immediately on the Sigma, no sign of wear only stains on the front lens that with a little liquid have disappeared, the yield I was amazed and the focus is always ready and fast with the Nikon D610 even if with a FISHEYE there is always a lot of depth of field and then easy operation. No problem of construction or other noise of "scrap" as with the 17/35 sigma, if you find it used I definitely recommend it.

nikon_70-200_f4vrNikon AF-S 70-200mm f/4 G ED VR

Pros: Sharpness even with open diaphragms, autofocus, color rendering, fairly low weight, value for money.

Cons: Missing the collar for the supplied tripod but with ONLY € 7 (!!!!) I got it in China and it works perfectly, NIKON should speculate a little less on its products that sometimes have exaggerated prices.

Opinion: I was undecided between this lens and a F2.8 both Nikon and another brand, then given the weight I decided to "lighten" the kit and not the wallet. I must say that already from the first shots I was thrilled with my choice, apart from the diaphragm less I found no other differences between my and the Beast F2.8 that a friend made me try, same shots made with the surprise that at F4 this creates me a file with a clarity above the "PRO 2.8" to TA so at most if I need a diaphragm in more I raise the ISO and I remain in my pocket a thousand euro coupons that I invested in other optics. Combined with the multiplier Kenko is clear that loses 2 diaphragms and something sharp but a 400MM seems to me that costs a few euro more ..... and I'm not a professional who publishes in National Geographic so I'm fine so, very satisfied. The only negative consideration is that in my opinion with very closed diaphragms loses comparison with other zooms but how many times do you shoot at F22 / 32? I noticed this thing photographing the waterfalls and to get the blur not bawas the gray filter since the light was really big so I closed everything possible but as I said the image has remained less clear to me with more open diaphragms. For everything else in my opinion is a spectacular view.

Cons: The bad notes for me were the reason why I sold it, with open diaphragms the edges are non-existent, blurry and unobtrusive to the point where the jams are taken. Inadequate AF with low light, first-generation VR that does little and forces it to the eyebrow.

Opinion: There is little to say .... I sold it even if getting to 120 mm made me comfortable, I returned after many years to an old 35/70 f2.8 I have owned in the past and I'm sure of a A much higher level for sharpness and chromaticity. If used at "tourist" level with at least three closed day diaphragms with sufficient light it is acceptable otherwise it is better to invest a few extra euros in higher quality optics. Moving to the "old" 35/70 f2.8 I gave up the VR and the ultrasonic engine but on my D610 break the hair while the 24/120 my hair dropped me ..... on its side it has a price on the market Of the used range ranging from 250 to 350 eurozzi so if you have no pretensions to search for it, at most you resell it without breaking too much or maybe nothing. Ah .... the photos of the review are not text because with the PP all the optics become brilliant, I prefer it to be immediately.

nikon_18-35gNikon AF-S 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5 G ED

Pros: Excellent definition even at open diaphragms, light but at the same time I find that it is of good construction, autofocus in my satisfactory model.

Cons: For now nobody.

Opinion: I had a Sigma 17/35 that was not bad but I tried some shots with this lens that lent me a friend and I immediately decided to buy it because the yield is totally superior. Very high definition already at TA that rises almost at the level of fixed optics by closing a couple of stops, the colors I find them alive at the right point and for me does not need PP except limits cases, flare very well contained in my tests, tried again for a few shots but it was love right away. The AF I find that it is fast enough the lens hood has no problem and fits easily, for me it is a glass that for the value for money leaves no doubt .... it is to have in the kit without the risk of repenting.

tokina_300_f2-8Tokina AT-X 300mm f/2.8 AF PRO

Pros: Price much lower than the "original" (found used in excellent condition), a TA bit soft but already f4 amazed me, closing gradually improves and gives risulatati exciting.

Cons: Weight ..... but with a view like that is nothing new.

Opinion: I bought this used objective doing a great deal, the dealer allowed me to try it for half an hour he was so convinced of what he was selling and got home I analyzed the shots to your PC and the second file I picked up the phone by calling the shop to remove it from the window. Mounted on Nikon D610 keeps the autofocus in a very satisfying and can not find it slow, we must always consider that no engine so as to work are fully satisfied, try also with 2x multiplier Kenko DGX PRO and works well even in continuous focus. The sharpness from f4 onwards has been the thing that has surprised me indeed convinced ..... I can not compare with the Nikon original but to surrender I do not care even knowing it given the cost. Not being very common perspective I had doubts but are dissolved in a moment, in essence if you get the chance to find it in used do not run away I highly recommend it.

sigma_17-35ex-hsmSigma 17-35mm f/2.8-4 EX DG HSM

Pros: Price optical yield strength

Cons: Autofocus sometimes capricious ....

Opinion: I bought this lens at a price I could not refuse (€ 150 !!!), made a few test shots to test if I had taken a rip-off or not, I realized that I got a great deal, more than affordable price I found in his hands a view to bad either. Absurd to compare it to the Nikon equivalent but even more absurd to pay certain figures for original optics if you are not professional. Made some shots with a friend to understand the differences between his Nikon 16-35 f4 and my paltry Sigma I find that this "glass" will enforce without problems, the FLARE occurs in certain conditions but also the Nik no joke, distortion minimal and negligible, good contrast and very life-like colors, no problem of over / under exposure autofocus sometimes uneven but this is the only weakness I found in comparison to the original, the highlight is the price ..... definitely I recommend it also because it is in used at attractive prices, much less than the 1,000 € of the Nik.rnP.S. tengo to point out that my sample has the small button for the AF / MF switch .... do not know what number it is but it works 100%

nikon_60g_microNikon AF-S 60mm f/2.8 G ED Micro

Pros: Excellent definition, construction of optical PRO

Cons: If we want to be picky the AF in certain situations he difficulties but for the quality of the lenses are willing to turn a blind eye ..... and shoot.

Opinion: I bought this lens used at a very affordable price and I have to say I was pleased from the first shot, lighter lens but built with materials that give me a sense of strength, also tried to portraits has given very good results quindo I gave up look for alternatives. The focus I find it very pleasant, engraving and contrast to TOP for what you can ask an objective of these levels. I had in the past a 105 micro but this 60ntino me and stronger emotions, I always keep in my bag because without it seems not to be in good company. I highly recommend it especially if you find it in used because it is worth all the money spent and never disappoints.
