Pros: Optical yield weight dimensions price

Cons: Do you really give?

Opinion: I read the review by a user of this lens who calls it "bad" and I find it a little exaggerated, citing it as against the brightness knowing that it is an f4 what sense does it make if you then praise lenses that have an f8 as a maximum aperture? Having said that, I make my comparison with the previous 14-24 f 2.8 for reflex cameras that at full aperture on the edges was really poor, here in my opinion I give up an aperture in favor of sharpness because the old one at full aperture took definition in an evident way with the 14-30 this does not happen to me. I use it indoors handheld very often on Nikon z8 and only in a few situations do I have to raise the ISO to avoid blur. I think it is excellent in everything, only the block that was avoidable for me bothers me. Definitely recommended

Pros: small size and optical quality at apertures between 8 and 11

Cons: I haven't found them yet and I don't think I'll find them

Opinion: To tell the truth, after having the 14-24 2.8 for the SLR when I got this lens with the z7II I cried out for a miracle. Then I also used it for street and I found myself very very well in it. I put it in my backpack and use it a lot. On a short expedition to Dorset and a holiday in the Scottish Highlands last year I never took it off the camera and I was impressed: excellent optical performance, waterproofing (and how much was needed in Great Britain) and the possibility of mounting a 100 mm holder with 100 mm plate filters. A boon for landscape photography and a significant saving. I'm getting ready to go to Madeira as well and I don't think I'll ever take it off the car. What can I say, in my opinion it is one of the most successful lenses for the use for which I intended it.

Pros: Excellent optical performance, lightness and compactness

Cons: I have no criticism against this lens

Opinion: My equipment often accompanies me in my backpack during my long walks in the mountains mainly for the purpose of photographing wild animals. Being also a lover of mountain scenery, I almost always carry a wide-angle lens with me. Given the weight and size of this 14-30 it hardly doesn't fit in my backpack. This lens allows me to take home some great shots so I can only appreciate it.

Pros: Very useful focal range, good sharpness on the whole frame at all apertures and all focal lengths, compactness and lightness, possibility of mounting normal 82 filters, high resistance to flare and parasitic reflections.

Cons: Extrudes by changing the focal length and therefore is at greater risk of damage from impact and decay of sharpness due to the onset of mechanical games, non-robust construction, plastic.

Opinion: Lent by a friend on Z6II, I took 80 shots in different light conditions and with different apertures and focal lengths and has always provided a very good sharpness, like that of the Nikkor 14 - 24 F 2.8 for SLR. Holds the backlight well. It is an attractive amateur optics for performance, size, weight and price, it is very good for non-demanding uses such as environmental conditions or for travel uses.

Pros: Sharpness, wide focal range, colors, resistance to stray lights

Cons: A bit dark, perhaps. But it is not felt in real use

Opinion: Taken a few days ago, thanks to an offer and "zero rate" installments. It is my first Z, so far I had always used the F with the FtZ: as wide-angle zooms, I used the 17-35 f2.8 and the 14-24 f2.8. And the latter - as we know - is stratospheric. But I must say that this 14-30 - as the first Z - left me speechless: exceptional sharpness (on Z9) even at F4, even at 14mm. Of course, a bit sorry not to have more f2.8, but the 14-24Z seemed to me a redundancy of the F, and the 17-28 is not S, and has focal range a bit curtain. So, thanks to the offer, I threw myself on 14-30, passing over its being f4, imagining I could use it from f5.6 upwards. Instead, already at f4 it is exceptional. It is said that the corners are not so good: to me they seem sufficiently valid, in everyday use. Flare resistance is very good. But the colors, full, alive, real, are the thing that amazed me most in a favorable sense. From a purely technical point of view, the lens is also compact and above all very light. In addition, it accepts normal screw filters, and this, for a wide angle that goes down to 14, is extraordinary (even if they are 82mm, not really cheap). It is collapsible, and the body warns you if you have not "opened" (i.e. extended) it. The focus ring can be customized by body: it can control the aperture or exposure correction at your choice. In short, for a test of the first days, I am fully satisfied.
