Pros: Embarrassing esccursion, yield on bigmpx, relatively high brightness, size, cost.

Cons: Isn't it 1.2? a few too many AC that you remove easy, does not have the starry of the best Voigtlander or legendary Canon.

Opinion: A lens that in my experience enhances the Sony E system (Tamron has at least 4 that make it unique). For months I doubted the pace but in the end I did it and I am very happy; mindful of the superzoom of the previous generation but also of the various 24 105 that have always been quite painful even if closed, I thought I would find yet another plastic. But here there is something different, this is a plastic made for 61mpx that does not start from 24 but from 28 and that difference is worth a world, for the better for the compromises avoided on the quality side. Yes, it solves 61 mpx and on 42 it is embarrassing for how it goes as soon as you close a stop; if you shoot trees, woods and foliage it makes an impression for how much crisp stuff you get on the frame. Use fixed of value and among those closed and this does not change the sharpness, but the lack of AC and the resistance flare .. STOP. Fast Af, excellent eye focus, tropicalized, light, sharp more than any other wish and so much so that it is worth a kit together with a bright / wide fixed ... Believe me... makes you smile after years looking for the fixed that solves the big mpx ... being in your hand a zoom, a superzoom... so resolving.

Pros: Focal range, f2.8 to 28mm, relatively cheap and light to be what it is

Cons: In the end none. Maybe the lack of stabilization and a not really lightning fast AF

Opinion: I took this lens looking for a handyman to carry around every day. I was undecided between the various 24-105, 24-70, 28-75 etc but in the end I decided to take this because I noticed that I shoot much more on the telephoto side than wide-angle (in everyday photos) and a 70-200, in addition to being more bulky, would have been too pushed. I use it with the sony A7c so it remains relatively small and lightweight. Of course, coming from m43 there is a big difference but also in a positive way. It would have been nice if it were smaller, lighter and brighter (as for every lens, on the other hand) but in hindsight there are not many alternatives: the various all-rounders are, in the end, large and heavy equal, if not more (removed the 28-60 but you can not compare with a 28-200, of course) and the various 70-200 are always larger and heavier, although brighter. Ultimately since I took it I have not taken it out of the camera body and I have not used anything else and I do not really feel the need, for now.

Pros: Value for money detail even at the focal mass weight price and versatility

Cons: Against????? maybe the fact that they didn't give it to me.

Opinion: Optics purchased from my shopkeeper as used but didn't even have fingerprints on it, perfect with 5 year Polyphoto warranty paid 20% less than new, a bargain. Taken for the Sony A7 III since I only had the 200-600 and I wanted a kind of all-rounder without fainting I looked on the site for the optics that had been of interest to me, the originals I discarded them all, although certainly better as quality the price was not within my budget and among the alternatives this gem popped up. Tried in a day not really ideal as light made me very beautiful files, I was immediately convinced by the sharpness of the images and the rendering in general. One of the small "flaws" that I detected is the distortion towards the edges especially at the maximum focal length but nothing dramatic because the 70-200 f2.8 also does it so just a small correction in post and you saved a few hundred euros. For what is my experience with this lens I would definitely recommend it. I've heard rumors that versions from Thailand are to be avoided because they are less quality but I trust Tamron. Promoted with flying colors.

Pros: Light, crisp, very versatile, 2.8 to 28

Cons: 2.8 only to 28

Opinion: I just took it and it immediately hit me positively. I use it on the A7 III and with a range of 28-200 allows you to go out with a single lens. It is not stabilized, but so is the machine, very light with excellent sharpness at all focal points. If it serves at 28 is 2.8 and on some occasions it can come in handy. For the moment I am very satisfied, he replaced the 24-70 Vario Tessar, I did it because I love long focals. A great lens that I absolutely feel like recommending.

Pros: Lightweight, image quality, versatile, bright.

Cons: No one, perhaps a little price, given the lack of stabilisation.

Opinion: it is a handyman's optics that, however, certainly amazes with the good image quality. Like all the latest Tamron optics, it has a fairly low minimum focus distance, making it even more versatile. The maximum opening to the minimum focal makes it excellent even for nocturnal landscapes. The image quality is remarkable, compared to the focal excursion, with beautiful details, fast focus, although it seems to me to suffer a little more at the long focal points, but nothing tragic. It is the classic travel optics that manages to cover all needs a little without sacrificing quality. By the way, it's also pretty light. I find it only a little overpriced in relation to perceived quality, but still aligned with other similar optics. Maybe the presence of the stabilizer would have made it a little more complete, but we are satisfied with the stabilization in the room. Promoted with flying colours.
