Pros: Excursion, image quality, brightness

Cons: It's 28 and not 24, a bit of chromatic aberration

Opinion: A very successful and very useful goal. The travel is (obviously) excellent, even if a few more mm lower would have been welcome (problem solved with the new 25-200 by the way). Amazing image quality, always very sharp in the center even at TA, at the edges it is excellent after 30/35mm, before it is slightly soft but not so as not to be usable even on 42mpx bodies. A clear plus is the aperture scheme, you are equal to or below F/4.5 up to 112mm, and in this it is superior even to the new 25-200. I noticed a hint of chromatic aberration and purple fringing, but not on all occasions, it depends on the scene. However, nothing that cannot be corrected in post. Distortion and vignetting average, however very bearable. AF good, but sometimes it goes a bit "hunting" in low contrast conditions, at least on my camera (which is not very new). Weight and dimensions are not minuscule but still reduced. It's not stabilized, but frankly on the A7R II you shoot comfortably at 1/20s at 200mm, so it's not a shortcoming that is felt. In short, a lens that I always carry on my bag. Vote 9 full, maybe something more.

Pros: Size, Excursion, Price

Cons: nothing

Opinion: You can't ask for more. A truly all-rounder lens to take on excursions, trips where take off and put becomes a problem etc ... It has some limits like all these lenses, but I wonder what can be better at 600 euros. Looking at the photo gallery I realize that it is worth them all and even more. Perhaps the brand combined with the excursion makes it considered a low-level/economic perspective. Nothing could be more wrong. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a great excursion lens for their Full Frame. At this point I would say that the differences in size and weight even with an M4/3 become zero (which I own), then of course we can reason on other issues, but this is the reality of the facts.

Pros: All

Cons: Backlight

Opinion: Guys, what more do you want? at 28 allows you to shoot at 2.8 ... with 600 euros you take home a really useful lens, the large excursion combined with a very good sharpness for a zoom, makes it an unsurpassed companion, Surely the sore point is the backlight, but on this side I found difficulty even with some Sony, so nothing new. AF really good , rarely I have missed a shot , tamron on this turns out to be the best cheap choice compared to sigma

Pros: Compact, light, sharp, fluid.

Cons: If from 28mm f2.8 it had reached 280-300mm they would be bingo (if my grandmother had wheels ..)

Opinion: Given the reviews and more than anything else the photos I decided and I took it. It is practically an all-rounder without ever leaving a bitter taste in the mouth and, once you get the hang of it, it churns out portraits, landscapes, interiors and even a bit of macro that at 200mm I find it leveled to many lenses tried to date. Outdoors he is not afraid of blur, indoors even a mono-pod can be enough to make a good impression. The question is: what alternatively? I wouldn't know at that price, at that weight and at that result it offers. PS: it accepts extension tubes well but not so much the additional lenses.

Pros: Size, sharpness, versatility, value for money and versatility

Cons: Few for the type of lens

Opinion: Perfect optics for travel and beyond, for a superzoom it has a surprising quality. I use it on an a7III and in Af-c it works great, I photograph my children playing football and tennis and I find one photo out of focus on 20. Great colors and sharpness. Many compare it to the Sony 28-105, the latter is slightly better at the edges (but slightly lower in the center), so given the value for money and the focal range, I recommend the Tamron without any doubt
