canon_50_f1-2Canon EF 50mm f/1.2 L USM

Pros: Unique 3D rendering, AF, size, weight, brightness, blur, ergonomics

Cons: Price, minimum focusing distance, sharpness, aberrations, 72mm filters, unstabilized,

Opinion: If you are a pixel peeper maniacs of sharpness and optical perfection stay away from this lens, take a 50mm Sigma Art or Canon RF L and you will live serenely. You can stop reading. One could list many things that are not perfect for this goal: there is not enough sharpness, there are many aberrations for example. Yet when you shoot, the 3D rendering it returns is unique. Yield that also remains at f/2 or f/2.8. It will be that slight red-green aberration in the blur that the brain processes as if they were 3D glasses, I don't know but it works! If you do not go into the detail of the pixel but you just look at the photo as a whole you understand it. Dimensions and weight: it is a cap for SLR and very light. It's not a pancake but almost. You can use it on SLR always without feeling imbalances, weight or wrist pain. Fantastic as the only lens for light outputs. You won't believe it but you can also close it at f/8÷11 to make landscapes. Unfortunately it is not stabilized but on the other hand it is very bright and ergonomic. The AF is strongly dependent on the camera body: on 6D the central was good, on the sides less, on 5DIV TOP, in live view with the DPAF and face recognition is a sniper! It follows the subject and always keeps it in focus even at f/1.2 (so I imagine on R how well it behaves). I would have liked a minimum focusing distance a little shorter to be able to get closer to the subject or take some detail and native 77mm filter diameter to share for example ND and CPL with other lenses without having to put adapter rings 72-77. In backlight it is not perfect, you have to be careful not to drop the ghost images on the face of the subject but if you are good at mastering the defects come out of the crazy images! Seeing is believing.

canon_16-35_f4isCanon EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM

Pros: Weight, dimensions, AF, 77mm filters, stabilizer, backlit resistance, star on point sources, tropicalization, sharpness, absence of aberrations, contained distortion, internal zoom.

Cons: Not f/2.8

Opinion: The ultimate wide-angle for EF system. Compact, lightweight and stabilized you can use it as the only lens for travel or reportage. Unfortunately it is not f / 2.8 to have an extra stop in the starry nights or more blurred at 35mm but it defends itself really well. Very good stabilizer. In backlight it does very well without ghost images or loss of contrast. Good sharpness on the entire frame from f/4 to f/8 especially at 16mm. It mounts 77mm filters. It is tropicalized and with internal zoom, guarantee during sessions under weather events. Fast and accurate AF even in the dark or with CPL or ND1000 filters mounted in front. Definitely a step forward or more than the 17-40 f/4 L I had before. Maybe a little too hard to make us portraits but it is not his favorite field. For the rest extremely recommended.

Pros: Autofocus, live view, video compartment, high ISO cleaning, workable file, autonomy, ergonomics with light and heavy optics, WiFi, GPS, optical viewfinder, tropicalization, responsiveness, burst, buffer, price hour, resolution

Cons: Initially it was the price, sensor not stabilized, display not adjustable, coverage AF points not on the whole frame.

manfrotto_zaino_veloce_v_sb390_5swManfrotto zaino Veloce V (MB SB390-5SW)

Pros: Comfortable, breathable, spacious, opening at the back for safety

Cons: Not complete customization of spaces

Opinion: Awesome backpack. I have the black version. Excellent is the quality of the seams as that of the coating. I have been using it for years without any problem. A reflex and many lenses enter it. To better manage the space I inserted other padded partitions and Velcro. Unfortunately, however, it is not possible to completely redistribute all the spaces but you have to adapt to the basic layout with little freedom of action. The opening at the back makes me feel calmer towards any pickpockets. Given the price is still super recommended.

canon_adapter_control_ring_ef_rfCanon Adattatore Control Ring Canon EF/Canon RF

Pros: Programmable bezel, solidity

Cons: price

Opinion: It costs substantially twice as much as the standard bare and raw adapter but the wheel is worth the surcharge. With this adapter you give all the EF lenses that you are going to mount in front of us an additional fully programmable ring. Overall it is very rigid and even mounting lenses like the Canon EF 100-400 L IS II there are no signs of failure or movement: the whole thing is a monolith. From the point of view of operation, the optics do not even notice the existence, in the sense that they do not lose sharpness and do not slow down as a focusing speed. Indeed, with the transition to mirrorless some optics have had a new life for speed but above all AF precision.

joby_gorillapod_slrzoomJoby GorillaPod SLR-Zoom

Pros: Lightweight, airborne

Cons: Discontinued, difficult to bubble

Opinion: Travel tripod par excellence. Being made of plastic you can take it on the plane. Unfortunately it is not easy to put in bubble so it is better to add a ball head, even a small one, in order to find the right composition. If hooked well it also holds heavy loads. Rubber feet allow him to put it in places inaccessible to metal stands, for example, on the roof of the car. Twisted legs allow you to put it around balusters or poles. If the ball head has the appropriate attachments you can use it to put GoPro or Flash speedlight. A turning point.

canon_rf70-200_f4lCanon RF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM

Pros: Dimensions, quality, IS, weight

Cons: Cost, not multipliable

Opinion: THE TURNING POINT. It's the first 70-200 that maybe I like a little. It is very sharp and practically has no aberrations. The stabilizer combines with that of the R6 and becomes formidable. Together with the 14-35 f/4 they make a perfect travel kit, super stabilized, compact, lightweight and sharing the filters with a diameter of 77mm. Unfortunately, it cannot be multiplied or duplicated. Compared to the EF brothers, it is not made of metal but of plastic. Alas, it has followed the trend of recent times and has increased a lot in price compared to its brother EF, but with a view to a lasting investment it is worth it.

canon_70-200_f2-8_v2Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II USM

Pros: Build and optical quality, AF, Stabilizer, Collar

Cons: Dimensions, cost and weight

Opinion: You either love it or you hate it. I had several 70-200 including this one and love never snapped. It has a crazy, fast and very precise AF. It follows the subject even if it moves fast or if there is little light. The stabilizer does an excellent job considering also the tonnage of the lens. The tripod collar is free as well as the hood and bag. Qualitatively it looks like a dynamite-proof bazooka for how well it is done and looks solid. The cost is a considerable obstacle that relegates it mainly to professionals, to those who work can be included in the expense. Optical quality such as sharpness and aberrations here we are at the TOP for the first and non-existent the second. It can be multiplied and duplicated without batting an eyelid. What I think penalizes it in amateur use are size and weight. If I have to work I carry 1.5kg with me without problems as a work tool but if I have to go on vacation to have half a full backpack with only one lens and have 1.5kg of dead weight, well they make themselves felt a lot.

canon_70-200_f4isCanon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM

Pros: AF, build quality, stabilizer, blurred

Cons: Dimensions

Opinion: Switching from plastic lenses to my first telephoto lens in metal structure gives palpable satisfaction. It has a remarkable build quality that is also reflected in its optoelectronic performance. AF is fast and accurate. The stabilizer does its job, it's a bit noisy but it works as a scare. The blur at 70mm is not particularly noticeable but at 200mm f/4 it returns incredible images. The weight of less than 800g is not bad at all and overall it is balanced. The hood is part of the lens kit. The only negative note for me are the dimensions: 20cm in the backpack are uncomfortable if you want to do a session with a small and compact bag or backpack for a relatively "short" telephoto lens of only 200mm

canon_100-400iiCanon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM II

Pros: ALL

Cons: PRICE

Opinion: I would simply say Canon's best human-digit telephoto zoom. It's actually increasing the price of that too. Starting from the AF it is exceptionally fast and precise, allowing you to shoot dynamic subjects with great ease. The focus reaches just under 1m (I think 98cm) at 400mm giving it almost macro capabilities. It will not be purely macro from the 1: 1 ratio but if you have bees, dragonflies or particular subjects near you will be able to take them back safely. Sharpness in abundance: where the 400mm do not arrive, the crop arrives. He won my battle with the 150-600, in fact I kept the 100-400 and the 150-600 I sold (sharper, brighter, lighter and more practical). I think it's the sharpest of all telephoto lenses I've ever had, including the 70-200 2.8 II. I can mount 77mm filters for landscape photos. It can be multiplied and duplicated if necessary but I have never been able to try it. He never showed chromatic aberrations. Compared to the 400L it loses little in the blurred but gains in all other aspects. Despite the weight it is well balanced. On aps-c it becomes a 160-640mm while maintaining its qualities. I use it on 5D but even those who use it on R6 speak very well of it, indeed they say that on ML it is even better. It's probably the most versatile telephoto lens for Canon. It costs but it is worth. It is highly recommended!

canon_17-40Canon EF 17-40mm f/4.0 L USM

Pros: Price used, colors, backlight resistance, filters

Cons: Sharpness, AF, unstabilized

Opinion: Probably the least sharp L-series lens and with the worst AF ever had. The sharpness was inconsistent at virtually any aperture, and the AF was not accurate. I specify that I bought it new and not used, maybe there is variability between specimens. Today it is used at a very attractive price and if you have the opportunity to try it and see that it is a good copy (good sharpness at f / 8) take it. To take pictures of landscapes with the Sun in the field will not disappoint you for its resistance to flares. It is filterable with 77mm filters. It weighs little and takes up little space in the bag. My advice? If you can save money and aim for a 16-35 L IS, if instead you find it used at 200 euros, verify its correctness and then take it.

canon_35_f2isCanon EF 35mm f/2 IS USM

Pros: Compact, lightweight, sharp, stabilized, AF

Cons: The price that is slowly growing, blurred a bit hard

Opinion: It's not the 35L. It's not the fuzzy one. That said, it is an exceptional lens, very sharp, compact and very light, moreover also stabilized. It will not be from 4 real stops but his job does. The backlight resistance is good. For the price he could have put a hood inside him. AF is a true Canon USM that is fast, accurate, reliable. It is an excellent travel companion for those who want to travel light with only one optic. You can also do portraits set if you know how to handle distortions. On aps-c it becomes a 56mm equivalent. I had it, used it and then sold it to switch to the 24mm f/1.4 Art because I was better with the focal length: 24 and 50mm yes, with 35mm love never clicked. However I recommend it.

sigma_24_f1-4artSigma 24mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art

Pros: On paper everything

Cons: On paper nothing but I have to say AF and build quality, backlight. It is not stabilized.

Opinion: It opened in my hand. Yes, I think that is the main thing to say. I was traveling and the bayonet came off my lens body. It clicked but no longer communicated the exifs. He played a game of one or two millimeters. Back home the assistance changed the part under warranty, however I was always afraid it would recur and I sold the replacement copy. On Canon, the AF was sometimes precise, other times it never got it right. In any case, never as fast as a USM but more like an STM. If I had not been burned by this traumatic event I would have said exceptional optics, blurred by fear, sharpness in abundance, minimal chromatic aberrations. Maybe a little faint in the backlight. Remarkable 3D rendering, I miss it a bit but I'm afraid to buy it. Weight and dimensions are perfect. Unfortunately it is not stabilized. For the price he has now used, around 500 euros I would recommend it if it is in good condition.

canon_70dCanon 70D

Pros: AF, live view, video

Cons: Files over 3200 ISO

Opinion: When I got it it was a very good camera compared to the 60D, it almost looked like a higher segment. More performing, more precise, faster, more points AF. In live view debuted the DPAF, the dual pixel system finally fast, precise and silent. It had WiFi. He made exceptional videos for the time. Today if found at a good price in the second-hand market I would recommend it as the first SLR, considering that it also has the integrated flash. Better not to go beyond 3200 iso because it is still an aps-c and the sensor begins to be a bit dated.

dji_mavic_air2DJI Mavic Air 2

Pros: ALMOST EVERYTHING

Cons: COST.

Opinion: We are talking about a drone that has autonomy that touches 40 minutes per battery, taken with the fly more combo you have 3 batteries, triple charger, ND filters, bag and controller. The signal quality is excellent up to 1km. To pilot it you need the ENAC A1 license. The photographic quality is really very good, it allows shots in RAW (dng), HDR, multi exposures, bursts, panoramas, spherical photos. It has automatic modes to make short videos. It can do Hyperlapse 8k. Video 4k/60, 1080/120 (I don't remember if it comes to 240 like the GoPro) and flat video. It is very stable against gusts. It has sensors everywhere. 40megapixel photos are crazy but have a smaller dynamic range than photos taken in smart mode: choose the appropriate mode from time to time. Constantly updated even 3 years after launch. I recommend checking after each update and before taking flight to prevent a buggy and faulty update from compromising the controls and therefore the safety of the flight. I don't feel the need to upgrade to an Air2s or a 3 Pro.

canon_8-15_fisheyeCanon EF 8-15mm f/4 L USM Fisheye

Pros: Build quality, AF, flare resistance, sharpness, colors, tropicalized

Cons: Not stabilized, f/4, not easy, cap, unfilterable, price

Opinion: It is a Canon L series, so excellent image quality such as sharpness and colors, chromatic aberrations not received, very good backlight resistance. Excellent build quality that also includes tropicalization. It could have been an f/2.8 for those who love night photos. Unfortunately it is not stabilized. It is better to use it at the extremes: 8mm as circular fisheye, 15 diagonal fisheye. At 10mm there is a switch - block to prevent the hood from framing. The cap - hood is quite uncomfortable. It is not filterable for obvious reasons. It is very expensive and this makes you evaluate alternatives such as the Samyang 12mm f/2.8 diagonal fisheye. Weight and dimensions are extremely small. Fast and accurate AF. The minimum focusing distance allows for truly creative close-up shots.

samyang_12fisheyeSamyang 12mm f/2.8 ED AS NCS Fisheye

Pros: Not extreme fisheye, angle of view, bright, fluid rings, cost

Cons: It is not stabilized, not filterable

Opinion: This lens is two-faced: since it is a diagonal fisheye it does not have the characteristic porthole image but covers the entire frame. The distortion is very low, although the angle is always 180°. So if you keep it in bubble it behaves almost like a straight super wide angle, if you tilt it the magic of the fisheye is born. It is quite sharp, perhaps a little less than the 8-15 L Canon that resists even better to backlight (hooray, it costs 3-4 times more). It has no autofocus but the dials are very fluid. It has no stabilizer. You must be careful not to take back the feet, fingers or paws of the tripod. Being 12mm f/2.8 it is very valid for shooting stars in very wide field. Dimensions and weight are minimal, the hood is a bit uncomfortable but must protect the non-filterable bulb lens. It can be the extreme completion of those who already have a super wide angle like a 16mm or those who have an all-rounder zoom like a 24-xxx. At the price it has today, especially in used, it is extremely recommended.

sigma_8-16Sigma 8-16mm f/4.5-5.6 DC HSM

Pros: Extreme

Cons: Dark, chromatic aberrations, not filterable with screw filters, not stabilized

Opinion: Niche goal, you need to know what you want to take it. It gives a crazy angle of view, equivalent to a 12mm on full frame and as such it is difficult to use and above all to "fill". The sharpness is there, it is good and it shows. At the corners a little less and you want for the extreme distortion of the 8mm but they seemed to me a bit pulped. There is some obvious chromatic aberration. The bulb lens makes it unfilterable with screw filters and given the extreme angle of view framed probably not even plate (they would cost more the filters of the lens). The hood is a part of the cap. It is not stabilized. The diaphragm is dark which is irrelevant for daytime landscaping but forces you to use the tripod for indoor or night photos. At f/4.5 it's hard to make the stars stand out.

samyang_14Samyang 14mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC Aspherical

Pros: VERY

Cons: Distortion, MF, inability to put screw filters, no IS

Opinion: Lent by a friend and used enough to decide which wide angle to buy. I'll start by saying it's a best buy. Even if they have made later versions, finding a good specimen at a good used price is a bargain not to be missed. Watch out for variability, if you can test it first. 14mm give a very wide angle of view. It has no autofocus but the dial is very smooth. The 2.8 diaphragm allows you to shoot even wide-field stars. The backlight is a problem given the convex lens. You can not use screw filters but only expensive and bulky plate filters. There is a very obvious barrel distortion. If the copy is good the sharpness is so much and homogeneous otherwise if the copy is misaligned you could find yourself centered at an angle with record sharpness and a split angle. Try it before you buy it. For the rest, for the price especially used, it is recommended

sigma_150-600cSigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM C

Pros: Focal range, stabilization, price

Cons: AF, sharpness, weight

Opinion: How are you? The answer depends on how much you pay it. If you pay 800 euros that's fine, you have a super telephoto lens from 600mm that on aps-c Canon becomes 960mm, almost 1000mm stabilized and with autofocus. If you pay more you start to see that the sharpness at full aperture is not good and often you have to close at f/8 or f/9 species at 600mm. If you want to chase fast-moving subjects such as birds I would advise against it because the AF is not fast and is not accurate. At that point you look around and see that there are solutions that cost little more, are lighter and perform better. Weight: everything is there and you can feel everything. I'm 2kg. Personally on Canon I found myself better with the 100-400 II cropped up to 600mm: I did my comparative tests and in the end I preferred the Canon for AF, for 500g less, more sharpness even after cropping, for less bulk in the bag and not least a bit brighter. So to those who evaluate it for the purchase, I invite them to think about the purchase price and the alternatives that today are many, many more than when I bought it.

canon_40Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM

Pros: Size, price

Cons: Virtually none

Opinion: STOPPER. Practically a cap that photographs. No, it is not a pinhole with an f/96 aperture. This pancake is a 40mm that can also be used on aps-c becoming a 64mm equivalent. It weighs little, clutters nothing. Today used you take it home for less than 100 euros. It makes a really compact SLR. The quality in terms of sharpness is not the best. The fact that it can be mounted on full frame makes it blur better than the 24mm brother on aps-c but less than the 50 1.8 STM brother. The shot, however, takes him home but with great discretion. The autofocus is very precise but the STM technology is not the fastest on the market. It is not stabilized. It makes the grip unusual for those who usually put their hand under the lens to stabilize everything. Coupled with the 6D makes a full frame system extremely discreet and compact but of the highest quality. Advised.

canon_efs_15-85Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM

Pros: Focal range, stabilization, AF

Cons: New cost, dust, sharpness

Opinion: He has long been THE all-rounder for aps-c Canon. The travel that starts from 15mm (24mm equivalent) and goes up to 85mm (136mm equivalent) placed it as unique. Today there are competing goals. The stabilizer is not exaggerated by 4-5 stops but 2 maybe 3 recovers them quietly. The autofocus is very fast and quite accurate. The exaggerated focal length leads it to be moderately dark (after all on the 24-105 mm f / 4 they put a nice L and red line above). The heaviness is average. The compactness is remarkable. By zooming in the lens extrudes and this mechanism brings dust into the barrel (it is not tropicalized). The sharpness is not top but on a zoom with this excursion, age and these dimensions there can also be. If taken used at a good price it can be a bargain.

canon_2x_v2Canon EF 2.0x II

Pros: Duplicates focal length while maintaining AF and IS

Cons: Makes you lose two stops, sharpness and is not compatible with all lenses

Opinion: He does his duty but I hoped better to be honest. Maybe version III will be better, sooner or later I'll try. Tested on different optics, L series telephoto lenses in particular but also "weird" combinations such as the 135L. The focal length doubles or the loss of AF if the brightness falls below the minimum limit for this combination. For example, duplicating a 70-200 f/4 L IS you get a 140-400 f/8: for some SLRs it is too dark and they will work in MF manual focus, for others there will be a limitation on the number of AF points and if you will have only one or a cloud of central points. On mirrorless the best situation. Unfortunately there is a protruding front lens that "enters" the lens to be duplicated: this makes the duplicator incompatible with all lenses that have a rear lens "flush" with the barrel. To have no doubts, look on the Canon website for compatibility between lenses and this duplicator. For compatibility with third-party lenses I can not say anything, you have to go to trials.

canon_85_f1-4isCanon EF 85mm f/1.4 L IS USM

Pros: ALL

Cons: PRICE

Opinion: DEFINITIVE. At least for those who still use Canon SLRs this is the ultimate lens. It has an AF module exceptional for precision and speed, usable for portraits but also for sports in low light, in the evening or in indoor arenas. Coupled with a reflex with good grip as a 5D is well balanced and you do not feel at all the 950g of weight (I had to read them otherwise I thought they were around 800, well done Canon. The stabilizer is great and really allows you to take shots that go beyond portraiture, for example in landscaping. I can still use filters shared with my 16-35 f/4 L IS given the 77mm thread. From the point of view of portraits the sharpness is right, there is no excessive macro contrast typical of macro lenses and the blur is quite creamy. It resists well even in backlight. You can look in my gallery some sample photos. Perhaps it is less "poetic" than the backlight of the big brother EF L f / 1.2 but to this I preferred AF more performance and IS that for my way of photographing I considered more important. On mirrorless I do not know if they combine IBIS + IS to give something more but I believe that the EF-RF adapter ring mixed with the more compact handle can lead to greater imbalance and less ergonomics. I will do tests.

canon_100_f2Canon EF 100mm f/2.0 USM

Pros: Less aberrations than 85mm

Cons: Unclear at f/2, unstabilized

Opinion: I tried for a long time this lens lent by a friend and it did not satisfy me. I also had several 85mm and the 135L. Personally I found a better correction of chromatic aberrations than the 85mm f/1.8 USM but also a lower sharpness. By closing the diaphragm things improve. Unfortunately it is not stabilized. It is as if it were a "I would like but I can't" of the 135L and I'm not just talking about price, it's as if it were a draft whose natural evolution is precisely the 135L, in the pros and in the conrto. On a personal level I prefer the focal length 85mm because it is closer to the subject, with 100 or 135 you have to stay further away. I personally would not recommend it.

Pros: Economical, lightweight, compact, accurate and fast AF

Cons: Unstabilized, Notable chromatic aberrations

Opinion: I took this as my first specific portrait lens. The chromatic aberrations were remarkable on aps-c, definitely reduced when I switched to full frame on 6D but always present. It is the cheapest among the 85mm AF, with a decidedly high-performance autofocus compartment, fast and above all precise even with the sides. The lens is small and lightweight, a boon for transport. It is unfortunately not stabilized and the minimum focusing distance could have been lower. The blurry is good but not top.

Pros: ALL

Cons: Given the price, nothing

Opinion: I start from the cons: it could be said that it does not have the hood in the sales package and must be purchased separately and that the STM engine is not a lightning bolt. True. But for 150 euros what do you expect? Considering that on offer it is new close to 100 euros and used even less is a BEST BUY! lens. Lightweight, sharp, with a character that approaches the 50L EF and that outclasses the big brother 50 f / 1.4 USM that costs 2 to 3 times (depending on market fluctuations). Taking used this and a 6D you have a relatively low cost kit with which you can do everything, especially start photographing with lenses with large aperture and large blur. You can use it on aps-c where it becomes 50m x crop factor 1.6 equivalent to an 80mm, the perfect focal length for portraits. What more do you want from this little guy?

Cons: Everything, requires an update

Opinion: The sharpness at f/1.4 is embarrassing, taking beatings from its little brother 50 f/1.8 STM. Closing improves but at this point better a zoom 2.8 if I have to close, no? It has remarkable chromatic aberrations and the focus is not precise enough to make me doubt that "USM" was a sticker put by those who sold it to me and not by Canon mom. If you want alternatives at Canon better spend less for the 50 1.8 STM or on the 50 1.8 RF, if you want something more there is the 50L EF f / 1.2 which is another world. If you have no limit to the budget there is the RF L f / 1.2 but if you are interested in the latter what are you still doing on the page of this old f / 1.4?

canon_efs_60macroCanon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM

Pros: Small, compact, lightweight, sharp, true macro

Cons: Not being able to use it on full frame, no stabilization

Opinion: Taken a bit for fun is a very valid goal. The operating distance is not much. Too bad it is not stabilized. Unfortunately I had to resell it when I switched to full frame. Being macro I don't recommend it for portraits of women. If I had had it in modern times with a mirrorless full frame and stabilized I probably would have kept it for some undemanding freehand shots

canon_400_f5-6Canon EF 400mm f/5.6 L USM

Pros: All. AF, blur, lightness, ergonomics, sharpness

Cons: Minimum focusing distance, no stabilization

Opinion: Compared to the years I had him now he begins to feel his age, not so much for him as for the competition. The minimum focusing distance of 3.5m is huge compared to the meter of the 100-400II or 1.2-1.5 of the other Canon telephoto lenses. The absence of stabilization is felt especially on aps-c where the minimum time to use is 1/640s, better 1/800s for safety. There will be more shots discarded for shake than not to be focused. Given this premise, it is an excellent telephoto lens to learn how to photograph or to have a light 400mm. The blurry is crazy, creamy. The sharpness in the center of the frame comparable to the 100-400II. Also used for amateur astrophotography with good results. Only note: being around since 1993 and out of commerce for a while' evaluate the state of the used and inquire about spare parts.

canon_135_f2Canon EF 135mm f/2.0 L USM

Pros: The images it gives, AF, sharpness

Cons: Minimum focusing distance, it is not stabilized.

Opinion: Optics dated 1996 and despite this makes many modern optics feel old! Aesthetically appealing with that gigantic front lens compared to the barrel (72mm filters). Lightning-fast and precise AF that allow you to use it for sports, both outdoors and indoors, day and night given the brightness. At f/2 it is great for portraits, closing from 2.8 increases sharpness and changes footprint becoming almost macro. Almost, in fact, because of the excessive minimum focusing distance. The f/2 yield makes it a miniature 85mm f/1.2. It is duplicable with medium quality. The only real lack you will feel is the absence of stabilization but not always, only in some contexts. I recommend use on rooms with a good grip such as 5D or 6D

canon_70-300lCanon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 L IS USM

Pros: Underrated, unappealing, sharpness, AF, lightness, compactness, L-construction, stabilization

Cons: It does not natively reach 400mm, no one else.

Opinion: GENTLEMEN I PRESENT THE MOST UNDERESTIMATED GOAL OF CASA CANON! Gentlemen here we talk about a lens that is used at 500 euros, has construction from Canon L series, an AF equal to that of supertele and stabilized. Very clear lens, we are on the band of Canon's whites, so 100-400 II, 70-200 2.8 II. Compared to these it pays for not being enough, not bright enough like the 2.8 and not long enough like the 400mm but for this reason it is exceptional: It weighs just over 1kg compared to 1.5kg of the lenses mentioned above, it has the external zoom that although it makes it more "ugly" makes it very compact to put in the backpack. This makes it more transportable than even the 70-200 f/4 L IS I and II EF. If you are looking for a mid-range price but higher quality you will find a used specimen of this series, well maintained, and you will have found a whitefly. Highly recommended.

Pros: Lightweight, first 249g, automatic modes

Cons: Light, unstable, little autonomy, no raw, no 60fps, poor with little light.

Opinion: It was my first drone. Very light but also unstable to weak gusts (requires a lot of space to compensate for them). If you make it work in CE it is a danger because it risks losing the signal after 20m or less, in FCC it is a guarantee of stability. Ridiculous battery life, I recommend the fly more combo. There are 3D printed lightening kits that also improve the visibility of LEDs. Ability to shoot only in jpg, no raw and only 1080p 30 frames per second for videos. As the first drone to date I would not recommend it anymore since there are subsequent models better equipped with sensors and with more advanced cams.

sigma_50_f1-4artSigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art

Pros: Optically perfect, right size

Cons: Heavy to be a 50mm, unbalanced on small bodies, AF not perfect on SLR

Opinion: Used for a period, I came from 50 Zeiss planar f/1.7, Canon 1.8 STM and 1.4. The quality is there, it can be seen and lifted. It is heavy but not intolerable since it is compact. On a body type 5D fits us perfectly and does not unbalance. Optically it is perfect, very correct and the blur is quite neutral. Give images that look like Photoshop: a sticker on a blurred background. On Canon SLRs, however, the AF is not consistent, it is not always precise and in case of movement of the subject it is not reliable. I preferred the 50L which, strangely, is also more reliable on the AF side.

tamron_70-300vcTamron SP 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC USD

Pros: Great first telephoto lens, crazy stabilization

Cons: AF not lightning, loses a little over 200mm but it is there.

Opinion: This is the telephoto lens that comes to mind when they ask me "which first telephoto lens do you recommend?" Here, this is the easiest to use. Not in a negative sense. It has a scary stabilization for the price it has. I took it many years ago at 300 euros but today it is also used at 150 euros, what do you want to say? Autofocus is honest. It is a fairly fast and accurate ultrasonic USD on stationary subjects, on moving subjects it is not a Canon L-series lens USM. And what did you expect? It costs a tenth! Of course, but it is good to reiterate it. Let's say that qualitatively up to 200mm it holds a very good blow, comparable to the 70-200 f / 4 L IS I Canon, from 200 to 250mm it becomes sufficient, beyond it becomes mediocre. For those who love the 70-300 range its competitor is the 70-300 L which has better performance but weighs more and used is 500 euros.

tamron_15-30vcTamron 15-30mm f/2.8 VC USD

Pros: Stabilization, sharpness, contrast

Cons: Flare, weight, size, inability to screw filters

Opinion: Got and resold. The lens itself is not bad bad but you have to get used to its weight. If you plan to always use it on a tripod it is great but if you have to take it on the road it starts to weigh as much as two average lenses, 1.1kg are many, both if you put them on a machine with good grip like a Canon 5D and on smaller machines but with less grip like an R6. The stabilization and sharpness are good, minus the behavior with light sources such as the Sun in the frame. It is impossible to mount screw filters which makes plate filters necessary, inconvenient and uneconomical for me. Resold for the Canon 16-35 f/4 L IS as sharper, lighter, compact in the backpack, similar stabilizer and possibility of mounting 77mm filters

canon_5d3Canon 5D Mark III

Pros: Autonomy, ergonomics, AF

Cons: AF in live view, video, aperture shadows and high iso

Opinion: It is a concrete SLR: it takes photos in good light and nothing more. If what you ask is to take pictures in good light and you are not going to mistreat RAW is the camera for you. At high iso or if you open the shadows significantly appears annoying banding. The AF module is good, especially for those like me who came from a 6D but is lower than that of the 5DIV. In my opinion, it is better to spend more just to move to IV, another planet. Good video compartment but very old resolution standards for the current generation (720p) and primordial af module. On the other hand, ergonomics and autonomy are excellent.

Pros: Price, central AF point, high iso quality, FF, autonomy

Cons: Side AF points, AF module in live view

Opinion: It was my first full frame SLR. Crazy autonomy, possibility to control it with wireless smartphones. It has an af module in primordial live view and the side points are not very performing, on the other hand the central AF point is a sniper and sees in the dark. The sensor tolerates well opening shadows and shots at high ISO, the raw are malleable. If you find it at a good price it is a nice machine to start, perhaps coupled with a 50mm f / 1.8 STM: little expense TAAANTA YIELD!

Pros: Price used, video quality by day, stabilization

Cons: Heating, little autonomy, noise for night shooting, software in the room, android, pc and iPad.

Opinion: IF you find it used at a good price, take it and pass you some whim. It is certainly better than the 50 euro cams always discounted. From 100 to 150 euros used is worth them all. I had it and sold it for the 9 which is a step forward in everything. The 8 has 50 minutes of autonomy, good stabilization, good video quality but slow on-board software and slow and often inaccurate touch (especially if wet). The software is bad on both PC and iPad and Android.

gopro_hero9_blackGoPro Hero9 Black

Pros: Stabilization. battery life, max mod, image quality with good light, front display

Cons: image quality with low light, new cost, bad software for PC, iPad and Android

Opinion: To date the action cam that I would recommend. The autonomy with standard battery is over 1h, has the front display to give you a quick preview, produces videos and jpg substantially ready for publication on social media. It tends to burn the Sun a lot and have a lot of noise if you use it at night but the sensor is small, it fits. Perfect stabilization, waterproofing as well but take care of it (I use it for rowing in the lake and sea and when I get home I wash it with soap and water to remove the salt). Endless amount of accessories, the best are the originals but cost a bang. The Go Pro Max lens is on sale that allows it to achieve perfect stabilization even if you flip the cam and gives an even greater angle of view, even more wide-angle but limits the resolution to 2.7k / 60. The software is too cumbersome, slow and full of hitches. Starting with the fact that for example on iPad pro it makes you use it in portrait mode and not with the tablet horizontally. The cloud costs 50 euros per year: too many for an amateur in my opinion but for one who works there has its pros. The range can be further improved with the new batteries. Personally I do not feel the old age of this cam, if I take another one is to try something different, like a 360 ° but this compared to the 10 and 11 is a best buy, if you find it on offer do not miss it.

Pros: Focal excursion, power, HSS, adjustable head, usable with disposable or rechargeable batteries, dislocation with an external radio system also in HSS. Easy to use.

Cons: Full power charging time, to be used dislocated requires an external radio system almost as expensive as the flash

Opinion: Taken at just over 100 euros many years ago it was worth all the money it cost. HSS and power at the top for the category, you put 4 AA batteries in it and he goes. No matter whether rechargeable or not, it never leaves you on foot. The color of the flash is definitely good. I fell several times to the ground and only now, after years and falls, falls and years, begins to show signs of giving way. Recommended.

Pros: Build quality, sharpness, blurred

Cons: at this price? Nobody!

Opinion: Taken on an online auction for 50 euro this lens has opened a new world: that of the fixed lens bright. Took more out of curiosity than anything else has proved an excellent training ship. I used it on the Canon 60D. If you do not have viewfinders very large and with pentamirror I suggest you focus using live view. Not autofocus, but those who turn to Zeiss knows. Rings of focus and aperture-smooth, which made it seem those of my old toys for children 15-85. The opportunity to "play" with diaphragms and focus manually, by setting the camera the only time is an excellent opportunity to get to know the secrets of the show. SHIP SCHOOL, 10 vote.

Pros: Sharpness, chromatic aberration correction, motor af ultrasound, price, internal zoom, resistance backlight correction coma, weight.

Cons: only 18 mm, only for APS-c size.

Opinion: 2824 mm FF). Mounted on FF cartoon fear up to 28 mm, but can be mounted mechanically and electronically recognized (tested on 6D). Hoo put the weight of the pros, because it makes you realize the quality that is in it: not a plasticone. rnProvato of 60D and 7DII. On the latter the autofocus does not miss a beat, just like the Canon's USM 15-85.rnPersonalmente I put on sale only because I consider it too cumbersome to use that it would now, because it has changed my needs, but the scope is simply the best standard wide-angle zoom for APS-size c.rnCiao, Riccardo Arena Trazzi.

Pros: Comfortable, roomy, durable, cushioned

Cons: At this price you cons?

Opinion: Socket for twenty euro eponymous site it is worth it. The port anywhere and, if necessary, has the size to be carried as hand luggage small. The orange interior makes visible content and is pleasant. There are 1 camera body with lens attached and 2 goals or 1 lens and 1 flash, but all vertical. If you put it in the machine and horizontal canvas mounted (eg 70-200) there comes little else. rnTasche side cushy.

Pros: Ergonomics, autonomy, high ISO performance, price, weight, rotatable display

Cons: not Tropicalised

Opinion: It 's my first SLR, so I have no direct experience to be able to compare. I come from compact and bridge. Well what to say: another planet! RNLA I have a month and I'm passionate ... rnErgonomia: I have big hands and even though I can hold it firmly, sometimes even with one hand. Autonomy, one of the criteria that heavy han made me choose, incredible: more than 1000 shots without flash and with flash over 300 venture. I put the price between the Pro because, given the competing amateur 100D and 700D, you can take home with a lower price from a body "prosumer" (I found it on the new € 600). RnIl weight I put between the pros, because I've always found with any balanced perspective, the've tried (not overly large): tested with 15-85 (mine), 17-40, 40STM, 70-200 L IS (my father). rnl ' only drawback I found was that every time the dirt settles on the bottom face of the prism, but this may depend on the fact that I do not use optical tropicalizzate.rn
