Pros: full frame, good quality, well build , AF well build, IT IS A GOOD MACHINE!

Cons: to expensive !!!

Opinion: i've got this camera from 2 years now. It is a good camera over all!! very good. Good construction. good features on it. too heavy, but it's professional. the AF sister is so fast and doing good job. Provide a good quality of picture, OK, now depends all of the lenses you are used. But with my canon 24-70 f/2.8 and the 70-200 f/4 L is working so good.

Opinion: I bought this used camera but under warranty from the well-known site. Paid less than what you can find any new camera body in the current market, just over 300 euros. The intention was to have an upgrade compared to the 80d that I had already been using for several years. It must be said that I'm learning so my needs are quite limited, also excluding some private parties, evenings and music festivals the photographs I take are basically holiday photos. The 5d is a monster as far as construction is concerned, it gives the impression of being able to use it as a rock to plant the pegs by setting up a tent (I didn't try but I wouldn't be surprised if it came out with only a few scratches). Surely currently you can find better but for most of the situation it has much more than you can ask for, it is true that the new camera bodies promise 30fps of burst, management at high iso impeccable and much more but for what I have to do with it I do not find limitations. It is a product that has been used by the best photographers in the worst situations and this allows me to know that I will be able to take home the shot in every situation and condition leaving me the freedom to study and experiment and sometimes even to make mistakes. Thorny topic is the weight and bulk, certainly a sturdy and pleasant camera to hold in the hand even if in the long run it can sore the wrist if it mounts a bulkier lens and is a major encumbrance in the backpack or neck, difficult to forget to have it. Another matter as far as videos are concerned, I don't do them and I'm not an expert but not even having autofocus on video it makes me think that for this area you can find much better.

Opinion: Objectively it is a phenomenal machine in almost every respect. We know canon menus and they are very intuitive and convenient. The rendering is spectacular and the colors are gorgeous. The only cons are the continuous shooting that allows you to get to 6fps, the iso that over 6400 leave a lot of noise (however solvable in post) and the auto focus a bit slow. However, these are all factors due to age, so today they are only noticeable because we compare it to more modern machines. Be that as it may, a big advantage is on the video side, because thanks to the Magic Lantern team there are some great builds to record up to 5.7k (limited to 7fps, but there is also 4k in 24fps) in RAW. Of course it requires a very fast CF (I think the write cap of the amcchina is 120mbps, so the real limit is there)

Pros: It fits on the hands like few others, Double Slot, Excellent files of the right weight both raw and jpg, good Af, High Iso quite exploitable, tropicalized, robust, a tank say many, and it is true, good second-hand price.

Opinion: Bought a few years ago by an amateur who kept it maniacally and used it very little, to combine it with another Eos body in the professional field. With the lenses of the L series it produces excellent files that have nothing to envy compared to those produced by the latest mirrorless. It is not afraid of bad weather during any event, wedding, reportage. The menu is easy and intuitive, customizable not only for those who have always used Canon, but also for users of other brands. From the excellent sensor come out files with the typical Canon colors, which I consider among the best for the colors of the complexion. The resolution is good for almost all genres of photography. I have enlarged prints up to A1 and even beyond on different materials and I consider them excellent, and the 22MP on FF are enough and advance. The viewfinder is bright and wide, even for those who use glasses like me. I rarely shoot using the rear screen, but it has modern and very useful features like many recent cameras. The battery lasts a long time. At the end of the day its weight is felt, you have to get used to it, but, thanks to the excellent ergonomics, it really gives a feeling of solidity that pleases. It is not a camera with which to shoot bursts endlessly, but (it will also be my way of photographing) it leads you to reason and shoot the right without making you miss the decisive moment. In some shots from particular positions the articulated screen is missing a bit which I find useful with other bodies. For the rest I think I will continue to use it again with great satisfaction!
