nikon_z85_f1-8Nikon Z 85mm f/1.8 S

Pros: Handy, engraved, easy to use. Creamy nuances and excellent yield.

Cons: It's not the F1.2, but it costs a third.

Opinion: In the past I've had the 85 1.8 AF-D and the 85 AF-S 1.4 G (and also the 105 1.4 E ED, but that's another story). I liked the first one a lot, the second one a lot less... So I moved on to the third one. In the Z world, the 85 1.8S is a virtually flawless lens, and combined with the autofocus of the ZF or Z8 it doesn't miss a beat! Each shot is three-dimensional, enjoyable, ready to use and with beautiful bokeh. Some say that it doesn't have much personality, remaining a bit "cold" in the colors and in the general rendering. I say that at the price of € 817.00 (with Nital guarantee) you can't get better, even taking into account the fairly small size and weight. Certainly the 1.2 is magical.... But at 3400,00€ what is not?

nikon_zfNikon Zf

Pros: Aesthetics, build quality, sensor

Cons: The Z optics clash a bit with the vintage look of the body, but it's certainly not a flaw of the camera.

Opinion: I bought this car because it's beautiful, and it's certainly the stupidest reason to make such a purchase. On the other hand, I was already familiar with the Z6 sensor and knowing that it was paired with the Expeed 7 certainly could not disappoint me... In fact, the ZF is a lady camera, practical, fast, solid, precise and easy to handle. The AF is very fast, more than can be used (in my opinion) for a camera designed for thoughtful, weighted and if you want "artistic" photography in the broadest sense of the term. It's nice to hold it in your hands, feel that weight and those clicks of the dials, put your eye in the viewfinder and immediately feel in today's Nikon world, among the latest technologies cleverly hidden inside a vintage body. And let's face it, on the technological front it will certainly not be a Z8 but it defends itself well, especially when there is little light and the ISO goes up. Then you notice the ease with which the 24 mpx sensor brings home the file: clean, malleable, ready. Nital sent me the SmallRig at home, which fits very well with the ZF and greatly improves its ergonomics without affecting the aesthetics. It makes you want to take it with you everywhere!

nikon_z100-400vrNikon Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S

Pros: Engraving, weight balance, build quality

Cons: Very high cost

Opinion: It is a zoom with a very usable focal range, which allows you to go up to 400mm freehand (and you can also multiply!). Moreover, unlike other brands, the diaphragm does not rise above f5.6, maintaining weights and dimensions within more than acceptable areas. I can say that it is "almost" a lens to always carry in the backpack without getting too tired, and counting on an excellent quality of materials and coatings. It is designed to work hard and in any weather condition, with great sharpness in all focal lengths and lightning-fast focus. Surely on some occasions it would be nice to have an f4, but the Z cameras manage well the high iso and the "lightness" always forces some compromise, you know. Despite the not exactly fast opening, however, it manages to return a homogeneous and pleasant shade (considering its limits) and with the right light you can also get good outdoor portraits. Having to use only one adjective to define it I would say: FUN! I add a note - With little light (like after sunset) there are some difficulties with focusing on Z6/Z7 (but I think it's normal). The system fails to hook well to 400mm, on small subjects. On Z9 I don't know but I guess there are no problems.

nikon_z24-120_f4Nikon Z 24-120mm f/4 S

Pros: The true all-rounder, he does everything and well!

Cons: At first it was very difficult to find. Now I would say that it just has no defects!

Opinion: Do you know the Nikon Af-S 24-120 F4 G ED VR ? Here, you can forget it and enter another level of quality where the lack of sharpness will remain a memory .. Larger and more robust than the 24-200 Z F4-6.3, it does not have VR but relies on the stabilization of the Z bodies. It is covered in plastic material, but you still perceive a good build quality and excellent zoom accuracy, keeping the weight well balanced even at 120mm. It has a fabulous engraving and a beautiful TA blur, perhaps superior to the SIGMA 24-105 F4 ART, which until now I considered the best all-rounder in production! I think it is the perfect choice for those who want to go out without carrying too much weight, but always counting on a very high quality in any condition. It is worth all the money it costs, and does not regret faster openings (except for very specific needs) I am sure that it will soon become the best buy of wedding photographers and those who travel light with only one glass!

nikon_z14-30_f4sNikon Z 14-30mm f/4 S

Pros: Compactness, sharpness, focal, circular filters

Cons: Only the price

Opinion: I waited a while before writing mine on this lens, because already possessing the 20mm f1.8 and the 14-24 2.8 (Nikon) I had doubts about this f4 glass. Well, I can say that the incision is very similar to that of the 14-24, but it distorts much less and the yield covers the whole frame quite well. Having such a focal point, which reaches 30mm, on such a compact and light body is an immense pleasure for me! You can go out light while still being able to count on the great quality of the best Nikon lenses without taking up too much space in the backpack... A dream come true! The constant opening f4 is enough and advances for 90% of uses, and in case of indoor photos, you can still count on the excellent resistance to high iso of FX Z sensors. Really now I no longer see the need to invest important figures on faster (and heavier) openings In addition, as already mentioned in many reviews, the possibility of using screw filters still increases the practicality and usability of this lens. Too bad for the price far too high, but as always the quality you pay.

nikon_z24-200vrNikon Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR

Pros: Weight, size, sharpness

Cons: just the price

Opinion: I never thought I would buy such a "dark" lens, but with the Z6's excellent ISO resistance and dual lens and sensor stabilization, I decided to take the risk in the name of sometimes indispensable practicality. The lens is well built and with an impression of solidity (despite being made of plastic), the zoom ring flows well and the protrusion is compensated by an excellent weight balance, facing the attachment. Although the size is not negligible (about 2 cm shorter than a Nikon 24-70G 2.8, with minimal zoom) go around with the Z6 and this lens does not fatigue even after walking km, both in the mountains and in the plains. The focal excursion allows you to capture practically anything without having to disassemble lens and miss precious moments, the focus is fast and the general ergonomics makes it a perfect ally when you decide to travel lean. The quality is there, the colors are natural and the sharpness is noticeable almost on the entire frame. Of course there are no nanocrystals and it can not be used for astrophotography or portraits with a magical gradient... But these are not the uses for which it was produced. In conclusion, if you want to go out without strapless backpacks and with the intention of taking home always and in any case shots, I suggest buying them at all. Of course, if I wanted to take night photos or long exposures, I would support it with a fixed lens (today there are excellent and low weight) The only drawback is the price, in my opinion excessive.

nikon_afs200-500_f5-6vrNikon AF-S Nikkor 200-500mm f/5.6 E ED VR

Pros: Engraving, weight balance, price, constant opening, reasonable size

Cons: For the price range I would say nothing

Opinion: I have owned this lens for about a year and I can say that it is the easiest way to look at the "super canvas" photograph without spending a fortune and without struggling too much to carry it. The performance is really good, the lens is crisp and the stabilization (combined with the relatively low weight) exceptional allows you to shoot even freehand! With the D850, shooting in DX mode, you get to 800mm that are not really a few for a canvas with 5.6 aperture! Of course it's not tropicalized, it's made of plastic, it doesn't have nanocrystals, it's not a f4... blah blah blah. In my opinion it is best buy, and if you are not a professional who really needs superior quality and robustness, it has no equal in the market.

sigma_24-105osSigma 24-105mm f/4 DG OS HSM Art

Pros: Sharpness, color fidelity, AF speed, stabilizer, build quality, price, versatility

Cons: Didn't buy it before

Opinion: For fear of incompatibility or receiving a model with focus issues, I couldn't decide on buying this lens. Then I started to suffer a bit for the short focal of my Nikon 24-70 f2.8 G , and especially for the poor performance of the 24-120 f4 Vr (always Nikon) and I took the SIGMA. What to say ... This glass made the other two INUTILI and outclassed! I'm using the SIGMA 24-105 ART on my Z6 (with adapter) and on the D850 with incredible taste and pleasure! The engraving and sharpness seem almost at the level of a fixed, the colors are natural and without dominant. The vignette (easily corrected in pp) is nothing compared to that of the 24-120 f4 Nikon! Also, I was amazed by the blurred quality that I just didn't expect from such an all-rounder lens. The weight? There's a lot of glass inside and the construction is made of metal, you can't do miracles! But I think he can sustain a nice photo trip alone in 90% of cases, without bringing other lenses. In short, this is the RE of the all-rounder for fullframe (at least in the Nikon house) and the limitation of the F4 opening does not seem significant to me with the sensitivities that have today's sensors. Highly recommended!

nikon_z6Nikon Z6

Pros: Image quality, ISO seal, build quality, viewfinder, autofocus

Cons: Nikon lens cost and no third-party products

Opinion: I needed a second body (after selling the excellent D750) and I was about to take the D780, but in the end I took the Z6 for lack of fun and curiosity. I do not deal with video so I limit myself to the photographic sector : The machine is solid and built with excellent materials, and compared to the Sony A7 III (which I got to try), it has a better ergonomics. Although I do not have big hands, I feel better with a body that has more room for grip and buttons. The viewfinder is excellent as the operational speed and clarity of the menus, while the rear display is one of the best I've ever seen! Another really impressive aspect (I come from the D750 and I own a D850) is the image quality, which I got to compare to Sony and Lumix on several occasions with my friends. (A7 III and Lumix S1). In fact you can quibble about personal preferences, optics and many other things, but we are in any case at the highest levels for 24x36 24 mpx sensors. The seal up to ISO 8000 is amazing, as is the range and the possibility of recovery in pp. As for the rest, the web is full of reviews and tests so I don't want to add anything else. Having made comparisons with other brands in person has given me empirical proof of the very high level of the product, and that's enough and it advances. The only problem with this machine is that the nikon Z lenses cost too much (okay for 2.8 zooms and noct 0.95, but the others?) to the same features with other brands, and also there are no third-party products (or am I wrong?) I will add more considerations over time.

panasonic_lumix_lx100iiPanasonic Lumix LX100 II

Pros: Size, weight, lens sharpness, build quality

Cons: Controls too small, price

Opinion: I bought this compact to be able to shoot in any situation, without having to carry the FF equipment behind. The overall quality is good, and you can take home great shots. The lens is sharp, bright and has no particular distortion. The yield is remarkable up to ISO 1000, which is a great achievement for a 4/3 sensor! Exceeded this threshold, of course, the image is corrupted and mixed by the algorithms of noise reduction. It is a beautiful object, I would say "precious" in the construction and assembly. The viewfinder is very good and bright, and the rear display has an excellent contrast even in daylight, in the sunlight. The menu is a bit complicated and not always intuitive, but it is certainly a matter of personal tastes and habits (each of us is accustomed to the arrangement of the controls of the camera that he used more). If I have to make a note to this product, it is the absence of a dedicated battery charger! I can not understand why it is necessary to recharge directly from the camera, and for more with the cable provided with the ridiculous length...

nikon_afs20_f1-8Nikon AF-S 20mm f/1.8 G ED

Pros: Low weight, compactness, sharpness, angle of field.

Cons: Not having it

Opinion: I have long observed this lens following several forums before, and trying out the specimen of a friend later.. And as a lover of this this focal, I didn't want to get attacked by the monkey buying something that I could still obtain in the range of my Nikkor 14-24 G 2.8. But if you happen to be walking a lot, or hiking a certain difficulty, or if you just want to bring some glass on the plane for a trip abroad, you can not avoid buying the "jewel" in question! Yes, because it is a lens of great precision, with a fabulous detail and a yield that has nothing to envy to my (very heavy and delicate) 14-24. Sure, you lose the comfort of the zoom, but carry around a lens that virtually "does not weigh and occupies no space" is something fantastic! I recommend it to all lovers of wide angles and astrophotography, for the great quality of the lenses and for the results that is able to churt out (even on the hyperdense sensor of D850), but especially for the reduced weight that is priceless! Good light to all

nikon_50_f1-4gNikon AF-S 50mm f/1.4 G

Pros: Size and weight

Cons: Disappointing to TA, price out of your mind in relation to performance. It is no better than the 1.8 G model, which costs half.

Opinion: While appreciating the colors and the pleasant gradient, I did not find it very well with this lens. I had chosen it for the portrait set, but the results were always too soft for my liking. Perhaps my specimen had not come out well.. But the cheapest model (1.8) was better on D700. (Not great on D750 and 850)

nikon_d750Nikon D750

Pros: Compact and light body, file quality, excellent signal / noise ratio, affordable price.

Cons: I received the call for the shutter (but ltr has replaced it despite my 750 imports)

Opinion: When I picked it up I still had the D700, which I loved for cleaning the files.rnWith the D750 I appreciated the same estate at high ISO, with the addition of a sensational range.rnIt is a perfect machine and suitable for all kinds of photos, precise , sufficiently fast and versatile. Going beyond means looking for super speed or great resolution, which at least for amateur photographers are not fundamental features. rnRestate my second body for a long time. rnGood light to everyone!

nikon_d850Nikon D850

Pros: Pro body, controls, ergonomics, responsiveness, range, versatility improved compared to D810

Cons: Still nothing to declare

Opinion: Hello everyone, before exposing my humble opinion I must immediately anticipate that I do not use the cameras for video, so all the features related to this use I will not take into Account. To be honest I'm not even a fan of touch displays, sensors padded with megapixels and focus modules from "millemila dots", as I click 99% of the Times to single point.... That said, I started to test my D850 comparing it to the excellent D810 (possessed until Recently) and the D750 (still in my possession), in an attempt to justify the monkey that made me commute the previous model for This. The body from, right away, a feeling of greater robustness and quality than the D810, and a feeling of reliability that I can not express in words, but that is a constant going around with a lens type the Nikon 24-70, which scales perfectly. In this regard I was a little ' worried about the speech micromosso, having the version of this lens without VR, but I must say that for the moment is going to be all right. The machine is fast, responsive, and the autofocus seems perceptibly faster and more accurate, but they are not aspects that make me scream at the Miracle. The new layout of some keys has been an appreciable choice, especially on the ISO button which now has a more "natural" positioning in my Opinion. Very useful the backlight of the buttons, while the folding display adds the comfort that often made me prefer the D750 to D810 on certain types of use. and quality? I will not ingarellarmi on the speech noise, weight of files, and comparisons with other BRANDS. The files weigh over 100 MB (NEF without compression), the noise is seen at 3200 ISO but the grain is tiny and the images seem less corrupt by the algorithms of NR (compared to D810) and therefore more recoverable from the various software denoising in pp. With all those megapixels the real miracle does the expeed 5, because if they had maintained a lower density maybe the results would be really exciting, but so much is useless to be here to talk about it.. I would say that the overall quality is that of D810, but with even larger images and a body equipped with the latest technological frills (wi-fi, bluetooth, touch display tilting, improved burst, etc.) and this brings us back to the speech of the Monkey. The answer to the question "was I right to commute the D810?" which I gave myself is this: as image quality has not changed almost anything, but the machine is less specialized and more usable at 360 °. I recommend a computer with 16 GB of RAM if you use Photoshop for post Production. 32 GB If you make wide use of filters, HDR or heavy manipulation of the RAW. The type of platform is indifferent, as long as there is a capacente and fast Drive. I reserve in the coming months to add or change this my opinion... We'il See. Good light at all!

nikon_24-70g_f2-8Nikon AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8 G ED

Pros: A classic that never betrays

Cons: Weight, 24mm distortion, VR absence

Opinion: This lens is perpetually attached to one of my cameras, and has given me hundreds of great shots. rnThe sharpness is good, the autofocus is fast, and it holds the dense sensors well. However, for the latest models (type D850) perhaps the new model equipped with VR is more suitable ... rnrnNon can be said to be a masterpiece of lens in an absolute sense, but at the bottom is a standard zoom 2.8 that tries to stay relatively compact and balanced on the body PRO and semi pro.rnTo make me understand better, I add that I bought the 24-120 f4 VR hoping to do without the 24-70, being able to count on a greater focal excursion, and in general of so much practicality in più.rnAfter a month it was already on sale because it lacked the engraving to which the "old" 24-70 had accustomed me! rnrnGood light to everyone!

nikon_14-24_f2-8Nikon AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8 G ED

Pros: Engraving, color rendering, quality

Cons: Unable to mount screw filters, weight, cost

Opinion: It was the first lens of the "Nikon 2.8 zoom triad" that I bought, after months of study and bloody savings. rnFrom my (modest) point of view is a masterpiece of optical engineering, which allows extraordinary perspectives and unattainable by other zoom. It's great for architecture photos and great for landscapes.rnWith the D810 the results are incredible, and I can not wait to try it with my new D850.rnIt certainly is not light, and despite the excellent build quality, it is not very robust because of the big front lens ... But it's worth all (sigh!) the money that costs.rnGood light to all

nikon_afs105_f1-4Nikon AF-S 105mm f/1.4 E ED

Pros: Sharpness, three-dimensional images, wonderful bokeh.

Cons: It's heavy, expensive, and bulky.

Opinion: I bought this lens after using the excellent 85 f1.4G for years. rnA little bit of curiosity (the monkey), a bit because the longest focal seemed more suitable to the portrait and more practical to use .. i can say it's the lens to have, the weapon that resolves to bring home always and Anyway, great shots! rnTouch the subject from the background magically, it has no rivals for sharpness and bokeh. The eyes of the subjects seem to live in every picture, shiny and shining. An absolute masterpiece.

nikon_d810Nikon D810

Pros: Top range, pictures full of detail, perfect colors, ergonomics, robustness

Cons: As far as any defects are concerned, it is closely related to the characteristics of the sensor. For the years he has and the technologies he used, he could not do better.

Opinion: I own both the D750 and the D810. Where does not the first use arrive the second ... and vice versa.rnI will not repeat the usual speeches on the big iso or the burst because there are limits that I feel natural for a 36 mpx sensor and files that can exceed 70 MB! I just want to concentrate on the impression I have had, beyond all the reviews read on the web and in the specialized press: The D810 is another world, even comparing files with those of the great D750.rnIn pp you get shades that l 'Human eye can not capture, and the images are deep, real ... lives! It is a machine that is to be used with quality glasses, and with all the calmness and tranquility of those who do not make sport photos or the paparazzi, of course. But if placed in the right conditions, it can make a difference and does not fear rivals. RnIt is a good idea to recommend it to everyone, even if new models will soon be released. Finally, after the D700, I found the Nikon to love at 360 °. I should add that I do not have information on the video segmentThose to share because they only use for photos. RnBuy light at all! Rnrn

Pros: Dimensions, weight, flare resistance, blurry, colors

Cons: Too soft to TA with D750

Opinion: Hi everyone, having used the 1.8 D (with great pleasure for years), I decided to take this model more acclaimed and well described on the web. But I notice that on the D700 and D750 it was too soft for my taste ... While on the D810 it is a blade, engraved and sharp. RnFor pure curiosity I also helped him to do it but a perfect specimen And I missed it! Finally I tried the new 105 1.4 and saw that it was fine with all my car bodies and decided to turn it off. Cons: Weight, size, cost

Opinion: And 'cold to the touch and forces to some effort to carry it around attached to a FX body, but has a zoom that does not regret a fixed lens, regarding the images that restituisce.rnColori perfect, three-dimensional and blur are only the first great qualities that come to mind. rnStabilizzazione very good and very fast autofocus, virtually never moved away from my D750 ... nikon_24-120vr_f4Nikon AF-S 24-120mm f/4 G ED VR

Pros: Focus excursion, build quality, compactness, stabilization

Cons: It doesn't shine for sharpness and is nervous with artificial light... The results are often unpredictable.

Opinion: I bought this lens as soon as it came out, wanting a handyman who wouldn't make me regret the 24-70 f2.8 G (bigger, heavier, and with too limited focal excursion). What to say : on paper is fantastic, f4 constant, tropicalized, stabilized, relatively small and light! Too bad it's a mediocre lens in all respects. I just do not understand how many do to say that it is a good optics, when the results are pasty and inconsistent with whatsase machine body. From 100mm up there is a noticeable loss of definition, in contrast light behaves very badly and lacks sharpness at each focal point. I switched to SIGMA 24-105 ART and entered another world, there are just no comparisons: A blade, in some cases better than the 24-70 G of Nikon ! (I own both).
