Pros: Image quality, stabilization, overall handling

Cons: ISO wheel could be more useful than it is

Opinion: I bought this camera as a successor to the ageing Df, so the standard was very high. I sold back the Z6ii that was nice but not as endearing. Image quality is definitely better than with the Z6, and more or less at the level of the Df (best camera ever, I you ask me - I mostly use MF prime lenses). While I could use the Df up to 12800 ISO with sensible de-noising (25600 in B&W); the Z6ii was no better except that the stabilizer allowed you to use lower ISOs, sometimes. With the Zf I do not even care about de-noising any more. The noise just looks like "grain" from the film era and disturbs much less. I bought the camera online from Nikon and it came with a complimentary grip that I finally adopted, despite the slight increase in weight and bulk. My only (slight) disappointment is the ISO control wheel; it does not allow to engage or disengage Auto ISO. If it did, I'd wish use the ISO setting as the maximum value. For reference, and since D700 times, I set aperture for controlling depth of field (and aberrations), speed for subject freezing (or unfreezing), exposure compensation for general tonality, and auto ISO for correct exposure under the aforementioned constraints... hence my (minor) rant. Still, in this unperfect world, it's a 10 out of 10. P.S. while I mostly use manual lenses (Canon FD, Nikon F) on adapters, some Z lenses are cool, esp. the excellent 24-120 and the modest, but suprizingly good 40/2. I dared to shoot an entire graduation party with the latter, only using "digital zooming" on post-processing, with great success.

Pros: File quality - Autofocus - High ISO hold - Dynamic range - Design - With the latest update Downloadable profiles jpg - Quality of materials -

Cons: Ergonomics - Sd Card Position - Makes Video - Function Keys Has None

Opinion: The Nikon Zf is a camera that does not go unnoticed. With its vintage design inspired by analog cameras from the 80s, it is a real gem for those who love photography and aesthetics from the past, but do not want to give up modern technologies. It combines aesthetics and modernity. It mounts the same processor as the Z8 and Z9 so the camera is very responsive and has a fast and precise autofocus. The files that come out of this camera are really beautiful with excellent dynamic range if you use the mechanical shutter. Held at record-breaking high ISOs, with a very fine grain when it appears. The body is entirely made of metal and the weight is important. The biggest flaw I found is the ergonomics. Not having a deep grip, even with that of Small Rig put on immediately, it requires optics that are not particularly deep and heavy. Otherwise the forward imbalance will be ruined, as well as ruining its aesthetics. In my opinion it is a camera dedicated to those who take photos. But alas, they continue with these useless hybrids, inserting the video part that has no reason to exist. If you make videos, you don't buy a hybrid camera. Neither this nor any other. Viewfinder of good quality, not excellent, and rear screen dedicated to the video side completely useless. It would have been much more useful to continue on the Z5-Z6-Z7 line. The cost for what it offers, even a good used one, is really a best buy. It is the only camera in the world that offers focus confirmation with manual focus lenses. Very suitable to be used even with vintage lenses or other brands with the adapter. What can I say. Today with less than 2k you can take it home new and with 3-400 euros less used. If you love taking pictures, and you're not a shooter who needs 8000fps per second, I recommend everyone to try it. for me it's a nice 9/10

Pros: beautiful, not too bulky, of excellent workmanship

Cons: the electronic part not exactly simple

Opinion: I purchased this machine after looking at it with deep desire for more than a year. I already have the Df, but it is starting to be a bit dated, with an image quality that is not exactly impeccable. I've been using it for a few months and I find it beautiful. The images are very sharp and it holds up well even at very high ISOs. Fast and precise focusing. Robust and lightweight. With 24/70, it allows you to do almost anything. Obviously I am not a professional and I use it mainly for portraits and reportage of events with my son or holidays. Too bad it's not a pure manual like the Df. They removed many manual adjustments present in the previous one that were very useful and easy to use. The electronics are very accurate, but not as intuitive. The focus from the screen, however, is really precise and excellent. I agree with most of the comments that say the front button is uncomfortable, we tend to operate it often involuntarily. I set it up with the various choices of normal and auto fast shooting, but it's not as functional. In the Df there is a small ring that is much more practical. In the end, being able to choose between taking 4 -7 or more consecutive shots is not so useful compared to the inconvenience of activating the function. I also had the old Nikon F and the FM2 so I didn't put the smallrig grip. I find that it weighs it down and reduces its retro charm, as well as not finding a particular improvement in the handle. Despite the price, I am very glad I bought it. Maybe the best would be to put its sensor on the Df, but these are just fantasies.

Pros: Aesthetics, dials, colors and definition

Cons: Nothing, you have to get the hang of it

Opinion: I just bought it, but just removing it from the packaging I fell in love with it, I equipped it with a smallrig grip and Nikon shutter button, now it's a superstar! I haven't had the opportunity to test it in depth yet, but equipping it with Nikkor Z 24-120 f.4 and trying a few shots I have already had a really positive feedback, I don't see any obstacles that can change my mind at the moment. A vintage body with a technological heart.

Pros: Aesthetically beautiful, rings, colors, very high ISO handles, level of customization, SmallRig grip made specifically for the machine.

Cons: Front function key a bit uncomfortable even if aesthetically beautiful

Opinion: I love the retro aesthetic, even if being from '93 it refers to a period that I have never lived or that I am too young to remember. The dials, once you get the hang of it, are a bomb, phenomenal and allow you not to take your eye off the viewfinder and to adjust the camera very quickly and even when turned off. The colors are beautiful and the image is clean even at very high ISO. With a zoom or with a lens slightly larger than a 50mm the hand begins to suffer and you need to take the SmallRig grip made specifically for the Zf (be careful if you take the Zf with a color other than black, check if there is the possibility of having the SmallRig of the same color, fortunately I took the Zf black). I must say, I was afraid that the grip would ruin the aesthetics of the camera, but on the contrary, in my opinion it improves it. The only flaw (which in my opinion, at least for the use I make of it, is negligible) the function key in front is uncomfortable and you end up pressing it continuously. I have deactivated it.
