canon_rf100-500Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM

Pros: Weight, size, autofocus, sharpness and stabilization

Cons: By inserting the multiplier the zoom can not go back all inside.

Opinion: Everything has already been said is excellent. For me the 7.1 aperture is not a con because it makes it small and handy making it great for travel. The addition of the multiplier increases its size which makes me take a larger backpack for carrying. Certainly the overall performance is better than the EF 100-400 II version that I have used for years.

canon_rf24-70_f2-8Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8 L IS USM

Pros: Speed, precision, sharpness, bokeh, stabilization, distortion and quietness

Cons: Vignetting accentuated at 24mm - f / 2.8, flare, stabilization selectors and focus on the barrel a little soft.

Opinion: On this version compared to the previous one (which I had) they managed to insert an excellent stabilization while maintaining the same weight and size. Many merits including the silence and speed of the auto focus also useful for videomakers. Vignetting is sometimes accentuated and also requires two-stop corrections which accentuates the noise in the correct areas (this at 24mm f/2.8). Another small fetto are the selectors that are a bit soft because sometimes when I take it out of the bag they move. The Flare is there can sometimes be pleasant and sometimes annoying, the little brother RF 24-105 f / 4 on this side is a little better. I tried the Sigma 24-70 f / 2.8 Art that optically found it very sharp but it was too noisy x video and too heavy, I also tried the Tamron 24-70 f / 2.8 G2 and I appreciated the silence but not the accuracy af because at 70mm the photos were all out of focus even correcting with the TAP on R5. This lens costs but is by far the best compared to the others and never fails!

lowepro_fastpack_bp250aw_iiiLowepro Fastpack BP 250 AW III

Pros: Lightweight, versatile, fits the dimensions of hand luggage in airplanes, is cheap and has several internal pockets.

Cons: The zip of the photographic compartment in the curve is not very fluid, it can only load a light and non-bulky tripod like Manfrotto BeeFree

Opinion: Contrary to how written in the description we enter a 15 "PC so this is also a pro. I really like it for daily trekking and both as a travel backpack. In the photographic compartment I can put the Canon R5 + RF100-500, Canon R + RF24-70 and the Canon EF16-35 f / 4 + adapter, spare batteries and battery charger. In the upper compartment that is of a good fabric but without padding I can put other material or drone but that has its own protective case, or clothing and food during excursions. But the beauty for me is being able to remove the two cameras with their lenses on the fly by opening the zip without placing it on the ground for fleeting shots. Vote 9

samyang_af85_f1-4feSamyang AF 85mm f/1.4 FE/RF

Pros: Weight, size, tropicalization, aesthetics, high level of sharpness at f1.4 that also reaches the edges, blurred, AF speed, AF silence, chromatic aberration (minimal and comparable to the EF 85 f1.4 L IS USM canon) and price

Cons: low resistance to flare, but for now I have always tried it without a lens station lampshet for RF expensive 80-100€

Opinion: Today I got the LENS STATION and updated the firmware My lens had arrived last week with firmware 1.0 now has 3.0! The absurd thing is that the updated and October 2020 firmware and my lens purchased last week on offer on amazon still had 1.0 But as I hoped, based on the reviews of the various youtube channels, this update gave the turbo to this lens because it solved the 3 issues that were revealed: IBIS on R5 and R6 which now works great, H+ burst that now works and tenacity and inaccuracy in SEVO AF which is now accurate. My focus ring is soft and fluid Sharpness at 1.4 in servo is amazing if we then compare it to the price is exceptional. The vignette marked at 1.4 is solvable in post production but a sore note is the low resistance to flare that is sometimes invasive with rainbow effect (but this thing I noticed without a lampshade then one day I will do a test also with the lampshade). The cost of the base to update the firmware is a little too expensive because competitors sell it on average at 50€ Vote based on price 10 , vote based on another 85mm 9/9.5

tamron_28-300vc_pzdTamron 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di VC PZD

Pros: Lightness, focal excursion, good stabilizer and price

Cons: In my opinion, the only tropicalization is the rubber gasket in the lens bayonet.

Opinion: Bought in company with a friend,at first used only for holidays, but then I also use it for daily outings and not only. We took it for fun because it found new at 480€ trusting the reviews and we did well! Lightweight and versatile it has become a great travel companion along with the Canon 16-35 and Sigma 50 art, it has a good sharpness up to 200mm and then worse a little. He suffers a little with the chromatic aberrations that are removed without problems in the post. With the R from 250 to 300mm it sometimes struggles with the AF which is not the case using the R5. Slight ticking of the AF engine that can bother in video shooting. They give it for tropicalization but in my opinion only for the gasket that has in the bayonet because I found myself a grain of dust under the front lens. Lately I prefer to leave the RF 70-200 at home to have superior versatility and lightness but when I look for quality, speed and reliability the RF becomes the RE.

canon_eos_r5Canon EOS R5

Pros: Autofocus, burst, sensor, video compartment, construction, "ibis" and flash management in E-TTL

Cons: Real efficiency of the IBIS based on the declared and exposure meter that follows the af point frequently below exposes of 2/3 Stop.

Opinion: I tested IBIS (based on my way of photographing is to make small videos) together with IS but I am satisfied in half indeed a little less than half!!! This test I did with burst shot and in SERVO I took the ef 16-35 f/4 L Is Usm (where Canon declares UP to 4 stops) and put it at 35mm with the R I can keep the time of 1/6 with 50% of the result. with the R5 I can keep the time of 0.3" with 50% of the result Practically the IBIS earns me ONLY 1 STOP I did the test even at 16mm but I had the same result Somewhere in the Canon web I read that the ibis combined with the IS of 16-35 came up to 7.5stop so I would have a gain of 3.5 STOP 2. I took the RF 70-200 L Is Usm (where Canon declares 5 Stop) and put it at 70mm with the R I can keep the time of 0.3" with 50% of the result with the R5 I can keep the time of 0.6" with 50% of the result Also here the IBIS earns me ONLY 1 STOP 3. I took the Sigma 50 f/1.4 ART (not stabilized without IBIS I keep 1/30 with 50% of the result with IBIS I keep 1/6 with 50% of the result Here the IBIS earns me 2 STOP Final deduction In practice the IBIS in addition to is earns me only one stop, and between IS RF and IS EF there is no difference in gain, while with optics without stabilizer the IBIS earns me 2 STOP which is not bad. While in the Video field I manage to have excellent stabilization with EF 16-35 do/4 freehand without finding strange postures as happens to me when I use the R. I really like flash management in E-TTL! I often find myself photographing with flash in dynamic situations where there is no time to use it in manual so I have to use it in Automatic. The flash used is a Canon 470EX Ai often used with automatic or semi-automatic bounce with the plastic diffuser because I happen to take pictures of children in a kindergarten who are often on the move in playful activities, so depending on how I turn I have backlight windows, partially lit areas and areas in favor of light. I rarely find photos overexposed, under exposed or with those very ugly black shadows, practically the algorithm manages to manage the light exceptionally making it always soft, when there is little light and the iso is already at 1600 instead of giving so much power, as happened on the 5D IV and R because iso was stuck at 1600, here it is unlocked so that there is less contrast between natural light and artificial light. On the other cameras I often had to move the iso and adjust it manually to prevent the flash from firing too much light. Not to mention the burst shot that with the flash now manages to do I think 3 shots in a second while with the R about 1.

canon_rf24-105_f4usmCanon RF 24-105 mm f/4 L IS USM

Pros: Solid, fast, beautiful, few distortions, excellent stabilizer, quiet and overall very sharp.

Cons: Sharpness under "my" expectations at full opening from 24 to 70mm

Opinion: The best 24 105 of canon house on all aspects, I use it since it came out and considering the cost I would have expected a sharpness greater than full opening from 24 to 70mm which does not occur from 70 to 105mm... But you can't have everything from life. This applies to my specimen or maybe I'm not satisfied anymore after using rf 28-70 f/2

canon_rf70-200_f2-8lCanon RF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM

Pros: All that has a 70 200 canon of the latest generation but in less clutter and weight.

Cons: Maybe the price but technology has its own cost

Opinion: I bought and sold the 70 200 l is II a couple of times because combined with the 5DIV I was heavy and cumbersome to go on holiday or take it around. Now with the R and this new RF things have changed considerably I enter ef16-35f4 , rf 24 105 f4 , rf 70 200 f2.8, a flash 471ex Ai with two bodies R in my 6LT messenger bag ,no more backpacking and sweaty back when I go for a walk or daily outings. canon_eos_rCanon EOS R

Pros: Ergonomics, material, AF, file, oversize Buffer compared to the Canon 5DIV, customizing the Keys and.... Battery life compared to official data

Cons: AF a bit slower with the Canon 100-400 L IS USM II + Canon 1.4 X III compared to my former Canon 5DIV, a bit noisier than the 5DIV, maybe the Joystick but I'm getting used to.

Opinion: This morning I did a photo Hunting session from 7:30 to 10:30 I did 1299 shots with Servo AF, of which a 10% from LV and the battery came to 50% I can not figure out how you can saw that Canon the DA for 400shots! I'M glad for everything is coveted video (which I started practicing) that photos of all kinds considering that I am an amateur photographer who does SPORTS, NATURE, PHOTOGRAPHIC HUNTING PORTRAITURE/CEREMONIES and LANDSCAPES. On DJI Ronin-S is simply convenient! Another advantage that the buffer arrives (with the SD in my possession and my settings) to 35 continuous shots in RAW mode against the 13 of the Canon 5D IV. On March 9th I made another photographic hunting session from 7:00 to 10:00 and I did 907 shots and also some footage (a little ' more than the first time) and the battery has dropped two notche. In the afternoon I took pictures at a rugby game I made 387 shots in servo AF and the battery fell a notch, pulling a few sums according to me with a full charge you can get quietly to 1500 shots for sports photos. In one-SHOT mode you can choose whether to have the AF point Normal (large) or small, surely the second solution is the most Carthusian but with little contrast situation sometimes struggling a bit to find the fire, while in the SERVO the point is only great and in situations BirdLife when you aim at the eye is easy to have a portion of the face closest the choice of fire often arrives on the beak of the bird but nothing that can not be solved with a little practice. On the video side the 4K with crop is useful if you make videos of avifauna or animals generally because the focal is multiplied by x 1.8... But the rolling shutter is always around the corner! In many respects I find it a little better than the 5D IV on the AF side for sports or photographic hunting is still a while back. Update of March 20, 2019 on March 18 I made another hunting session shooting from 7:00 to 10:00 with 400 shots made and the battery has dropped two notche so compared to the conclusions I wrote above the consumption of the battery is not only given by the shots Facts but from the time that the camera stays on because having done 3 photographic hunting sessions of 3 hours each day (with shots ranging from 1200, 900 and 400) The battery has always arrived at 50%. With The RF optics you have an advantage in more ie the third ring that can be associated with a function (when it was released this system I thought was another marketing gimmick), I programmed with exposure compensation in both the video and Photographic and I can no longer do without so now I'll buy the adapter ring with the ring nut so I can use this function with the optics adapted. At first I was awkward and slow in movements to change settings, shutter functions, video step and photos etc... Now with the customization of menus and keys, eliminating the functions that I do not use and applying what I am interested in the various buttons, I can really do everything faster, type with a key I do the switch from SERVO to ONE SHOT small point, with another I do The switch from the FACE DETECT function (Ai) to the FIXED POINT, the AF points move them with the 4 directions of the navigation and/or with the upper-left side of the screen using the thumb, the ISO with the TOUCH BAR, the compensation with the new ring on the lens , if I have to do a video on the fly I press the record button that is set based on the storage of the data I programmed on C3-video and if I I tremble the recording the camera returns to photo mode.

canon_6d_mark_iiCanon 6D Mark II

Pros: Improved in everything compared to 6d, price and online performance for its market band

Cons: Second memory slot and 4k video for those interested.

Opinion: Beating in the reviews just came out, which happens to all Canon cameras when they come out on the market, but now in many they buy it strong of its value for money (in September paid €999 new). At the sensor level is better than the 5d III and slightly lower than that of the 5d IV that in the practical act I can not perceive. I have it for a month and already has behind more than 6000 shots made between ceremonies and landscapes and use in pairs with the 5d IV. The biggest boredom that I have found is that it does not digest well the Tamron 35 1.8 to F 1.8 using the lateral groups of the AF with little light, pretty much to hit a few shots thing that does not happen with the 5div. If in the same conditions use the Canon 85 1.4 at F 1.4 The AF works fine. I can not give an opinion on photos with dynamism sustained because I still have not had the opportunity but if the AF module is that of 80d (which I had) I think I will have excellent results.

canon_eos_m50Canon EOS M50

Pros: Dimensions, weights, articulate, sensor, display great EVF, new AF system

Cons: Manual pop-up flash system and lack of a double ring (but then maybe it would have been a M7).

Opinion: Having owned an M1, M3 and M6 I can say this M50 has everything I was looking for! Lightweight, compact and solid to the touch even though the body is made of polycarbonate, in my opinion is a real Aps-c All-Round to take with itself. Excellent burst shooting but little buffer (from 7 to 9 raw shots). The sensor, updated or new, returns well workable files in line with the M6 and 80D I've had. The electronic viewfinder does not make me regret the 5 d IV, in fact I really like the idea of instantly see how strong especially in situations of controluci photo veine. Impractical "Touch and Drag AF" If you leave the display on the back of the camera, because there is no place to move your fingers to move the af, while it becomes useful if we leave open the display sideways. The "Eye" AF "works well if the subject looking at the camera and only works in ONE SHOT while I serve the function is disabled. The new AF module works very well with Aperture f/1.4, is very quick even in low light and has a good dynamic in pursuit. In the M3 and M6 flashes of other brands were not working now, in M3 and M6 using counterfeit batteries was cumbersome now everything works as in the old M1. IMHO Canon for bridged the gap that was there with other brand performance level, this software will reach the maximum when they're out optical light compact like the whole series EF-M. Rating 9.5

canon_24-105_f4iiCanon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM II

Pros: It has been improved a little bit compared to the predecessor, but above all the sharpness, stabilization and the ugly distortions in the corners.

Cons: The only thing that hasn't changed since the old version is that bit of chromatic aberration.

Opinion: I can't understand why this lens has had bad reviews in the past, maybe for the price it cost? Even the DXO charts do not give a positive judgement... because maybe they are not part? Or maybe Canon has done in the meantime technical adjustments? To the practical Act I was very satisfied by the sharpness returned, the AF precision, the excellent stabilizer, the excellent construction and the lack of distortion/elongation in the corners at 24mm. The only cons, but acceptable, is that wire of chromatic aberration at the edges in the strong contrasts that has not been solved. The price for me is no longer a cons because the web is quietly located from €680 to €800. I speak from one that went from Canon 24 105 f/4 L IS USM to Canon 24-70 F/2.8 L USM II (for here I was not for the absence of the stabiliser and for those more 35mm in my travels) to this Canon 24-105 F/4 L IS USM II. Maybe (but I do mainly landscapes) what I miss compared to 24-70 2.8 is only the 2.8.

canon_5d_mark_ivCanon 5D Mark IV

Pros: Improved in all respect to the 5D mk III, same feeling of extreme reliability and reliability, standard Wi-Fi and GPS, Touch Monitor.

Cons: I would have wanted a bit more buffer for burst shots.

Opinion: Tested in various fields such as photographic hunting, daytime, nighttime, close up and portraiture certainly does not regret the 5D III. Improved effectively at ISO level especially on chrominance and banding noise, the AF module works with ALL points 100-400 II + canon 1.4x III (fast and reliable coupling). The touch monitor I expected anxiously as I was used to the 80D, now 30 mpx and 7 fps have put me in trouble, I no longer know if I prefer 80D in photo shoot! Rn GPS, Wi Fi and 4K video are things Which I do not need but there are and maybe sometimes I will exploit it. The only thing is that Canon declares up to 21 consecutive shots, but actually crashing to the highest resolution at 12-13 to increase the buffer, it has to set more resolutions Basse.rnThese improvements make the camera even more extreme, especially for those who do ceremonies, indoor sports, birdlife and night photos, for now I'm very happy because I found it used at km 0 under the same conditions. :-) rn

sigma_50_f1-4Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM

Pros: Weight, size, cost, brightness and sharpness

Cons: Af not always accurate at f1.4 but I also found on the new version.

Opinion: Excellent construction and beautiful to look at, from f1.4 to f1.8 is soft compared to the new version but more compact and lightweight, precision AF is basically like 50 1.4 art.rnLa because that made me prefer this lens than the new model is the price flea ... I found it to 270euro like new, with one year warranty and one month trial.

sigma_50_f1-4artSigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art

Pros: Sharpness from f / 1.4 and construction

Cons: Uncertainties AF, weight and size

Opinion: L 'I held 10 days, fantastic in every way and crystal clear at f1.4 but .... I found a AF hesitant and imprecise if the subject is in shadow, the price of 750EURO, the weight and size have convinced me return it back with the right of withdrawal. I have not encountered the Back / Front Focus problems but finally I found the previous model (like new) to 270euro which weighs half and more compact, definitely less sharp at f1.4 but more suited to "women" wrinkles, which I did find the peace of mind.

canon_100-400iiCanon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM II

Pros: Versatility, clarity, speed, accuracy Af, stabilizer, AF minimum distance, construction, weight and great with the Canon 1.4x III

Cons: I thought it was worth the price but then .... it all.

Opinion: I use it for Birdlife matched with Canon 1.4x III is on 5D mk III of 80D, with the 5D III works only the central point, everything works perfectly and keeps excellent speed I encountered slight hesitation if behind the subject as a background there are the branches, with 80D behaves with no problem and I can use 21-point AF but to have the sharpest I have to close from f9 to f10 when used without multipliers is really fantastic. the indoor use, for football games, with canon 5D mkIII for the chance to raise the ISO from 6400 to 12,800 and is truly spectacular always ready and responsive. For outdoor sports use for me it is ideal given its focal excursion versatility! RNLA minimum distance of 98cm of APSC with a multiplier of 1.4x 25mm extension tube allows you to do macro 1: 1 with excellent results. RNLA its compactness allows me to do the holidays with Canon 5d mkIII or 80D, Canon 16-35 f4, canon 24-105, 100-400 canon II + 1.4x Canon 85 f / 1.8 usm in my bag messanger Crumpler Light Delight 6000 ifnce need backpack!

Pros: AF speed and accuracy, crisp even at TA, copatto, slight and with a nice blurry

Cons: chromatic Abberazione

Opinion: Both of which FF on APSC with emotions, the old optical design is still valid in this era with high performance optics and impressive color abberazioni is the only defect. Sure that everything is resolved with correction of lens profile with various software but sometimes there is to work at it a bit more. The price / performance ratio (new and used) will appreciate this.

canon_80dCanon 80D

Pros: AF module, WB to white priority, M exposure compensation with ISO AUTO and new sensor.

Cons: It makes videos in 4K

Opinion: The real news stà in bright AF module that is well distributed on the frame, with essential points, and that some of these also work to f8. Then there is the new dual pixel sensor 24mpx that 20mpx compared to the 70D, is a small step forward. These two updates convinced me to replace the temporary 760D which could be multiplied only with a kenko, but the results have not always been optimal with canon 400 5.6L USM and Canon 100 400 L IS USM II. 80D now seems to be born for the 'coupled canon 100 400 II and Canon EF 1.4x III where everything works perfectly, QUICKLY and accurately. For now I tried it only in sports and photographic safari when needed the multiplier factor of 1.6x Aps-c.

canon_760dCanon 760D

Pros: 24Mpx sensor, 19-point AF of the 7D and 70D legendary, fine-grained slightly higher than the 70D and ISO used in 3200

Cons: The dynamic range is still slightly lower than Nikon, recycling of Af system (although fast, accurate and where needed) and the battery that is not a real problem (all have one or two spare batteries)

Opinion: I come from canon 550d, eos M and 70D which I replaced with 5d Mk III, I felt the need for a stock car APSC for the multiplication factor. The generation gap of the sensor is compared to the APSC Canon but not compared to the competition. what about everything I did with the 70D now I can do it with the 760D + 4MPX !! For sports photography and use of very bright optical I recommend once 70D, but for photographic hunting I prefer 4MPX more and two shots per second less. For the rest is a super entry level.

Pros: Brightness, cost, weight, size

Cons: Noisy for video, not fully usable by f1.8-2

Opinion: Good for portraits and half-length from f2,2 where maybe in the woman's face should not be sharp details but better from f2.8 on. Improved construction as compared to the previous version, for video is not ideal unless you put an external microphone away from the camera but for what it costs, for lightness and space is definitely worth buying.

Pros: Compact, AF speed than the first set but far from 19 points canon in low light, the screen tilt, swivel flash Pop-Up, resolution and fine grain of the ISO.

Cons: AF assist light is often covered by the hand on the target, it does not work with all third-party optical and Flash Yn-600.

Opinion: Overall improved compared to previous versatility in the tilt of the screen, the flash articulated which can be used to bounce in closed environments, quality iso slightly higher than the Canon 70D (which I have already had) and AF improved compared to the M1 but not up to an end SLR media.rnComprata because he had to save space, use it as a stock car and to reduce lens exchange while traveling and up to here we are! Pros: Price, sharpness (for the price), stabilizer and 600mm

Cons: AF 400mm to 600mm

Opinion: All 'beginning I used the Canon 70D in place of 400Usm + Kenko 1.4x DGX 300PRO here c' I lost in reactivity of AF, but in quality of photos and versatility have earned us enough (as a percentage in shots taken). Then I moved to 5D MK III and the 'goal has improved markedly in sharpness from F / 6.3 onwards, AF a bit' faster and a higher percentage of picture in focus. I lost in the focal length, but with the Kenko 1.4x DGX 300PRO can not get more or less the same results of 'coupled Canon 70D and Tamron! Depending on the value-to-weight ratio give him a nice 10 (without distinction)!
