Pros: Small and light, excellent image quality, ubiquitous screen and responsive touch screen, autofocus, simple and clear canon menu, great value for money

Cons: Maybe it lacks a die

Opinion: I recently approached photography, and after much research and advice from people much more experienced than me, I decided to buy this mirrorless. I needed a small and light body, easily transportable and with excellent image quality. As my first serious camera, I was looking for an entry level but advanced and avant-garde, that would allow me to do a little bit of everything. I think that at value for money (500/600 euros), for this range there is no better. In addition to the 15-45 I bought a 55-200 for mountain trips and to photograph animals from long distance. I recently bought a fixed 22mm f2 to take that step forward and to have a bright lens. For what I need, the M series optics go very well because they allow me to experiment and buy cheap lenses but discreet and in some cases really good quality. For those who are more experienced, the M series certainly has a limited optical park (you can use an adapter). As for the battery, I've never had any problems at the moment, but I haven't spent whole days photographing. Unexpected avoidance with a spare battery. Despite the extremely responsive touch screen, an extra dial would have been comfortable. Conclusion: I would recommend it to all those who are looking for a great camera but small and light, to those who are approaching photography and do not want to spend too much, to those who want a second body machine to take on the road or in special situations. For me it is undoubtedly promoted!

Pros: Incredible AF for 500 euros; canon house colors; gust for 500 euros

Cons: Battery

Opinion: A respectable mirrorless with a really good dynamic range for the price it has. Instead of going to the video side, buy yourself a sony and don't break the boxes anymore; Canon is made to photograph and, without exaggeration, I would flank this apsc as a second body with low hands. It has a crazy autofocus (for what it costs): I own a 50mm canon 1.4, you all know it, it is one of the slowest and faulty lenses that canon house has ever made; well, dear users, with my meke adapter from 50 euros (now it costs even less) to 1.4 in a park in the dark evening did not once sing the fire. Rest assured, the autofocus works well even in the room or in the soft places where there is no sunlight despite the room costing 500 euros. The display is sensitive, it works well, the focus tracks the subject quietly (average clearly, we do not talk about sony a9). The room works really well, study the manual to customize the controls to your taste. The viewfinder works well and does not leave HANNO FIXED the issue of goox triggers (for those who did not know by applying a godox trigger the old mirrorless canon crashed: it went off and you had to turn it back on). Canon did a nice job: you've been too impulsive, you've unnecessarily been avid on the video side but if you want to take canon photos it continues to stand on the crest of the wave. He also did the mirrorless full frame WITH THE COLORS OF THE FULL FRAME CANON, don't get angry about all the hustle and bustle that sony did, if you want to make videos buy yourself a c100 or a sony. I forgot, if you decide to buy this canon m50 buy even 4 batteries, they will serve you as bread since it drinks like a 3000 petrol.

Pros: Weight, clutter, Image quality, dynamic range, high iso, autofocus, video, snooper screen, ease access controls, price value.

Cons: Too bad we lack some more performing and bright optics, remediable with adapter and optics ef Canon (at the expense of weight and clutter), which unfortunately I do not possess. It would be to mention the battery but it is a problem of all mirrorless so it is a no problem for now.

Opinion: I must say that I have always been a Nikon user, but interested in the sudden advance of mirrorless I was intending to have one without much commitment having already a very important Nikon kit, certainly were not z6 and z7 that met this requirement being very high price and range machines, investment already made with Nikon D850 and since in this segment Nikon laze, studying prrezzi and features of various machines I decided to take an M50 even for sometimes lighter outputs. I really like CR3 files a satisfying dynamic range of course not to compare to my Full Frame, but in relation to the sensor, the files are very workable and allow wide margins of recovery. I was very impressed with the performance in relation to the price, a real gem that I fell in love with. I don't make many videos if not occasionally, but I've found that they're great, They call it entry level but I don't completely agree, I'm testing it a lot and I'm getting more and more charmed. I attach photos in the gallery, taken in CR3.

Pros: New and used price, compactness (up to a point), low weight, quality of photos and videos, high iso hold (for an apsc) and dynamic range, Raffica, WIFI, EVF.

Cons: ERGONOMIA!, battery life (yes and no), price and availability of EF-M optics, lack of another control dial

Opinion: Despite being sold as a mirrorless entry level, I decided to gamble and buy it. I immediately paired it with EF optics (24-105L, 50, 70-300) via Meike adapter and Viltrox speedbooster as I do not see longevity and convenience (as far as resale then) of the EF-M system. With this pairing, I am convinced that I have obtained in my hands and in many respects an APS-C semi pro, with high performance photos and videos (only 1080p, NO 4K) thanks to the technology it encloses. The Digic 8 processor combined with a relatively new sensor guarantees a great quality of image and detail, good dynamic range and great recovery of shadows (iso 100) and also an excellent iso seal: I set ISO MAX to 6400 and I can get shots satisfying and recoverable by almost always shooting freehand. Canon's AF Dual Pixel system speaks for its own, fabulous video side and incredible photo side: very fast, so many points that can be selected via touch and continuous eye-tracking for portraits. CHICCA RECORD: By mounting the speedbooster, you get the FF field of view, a stop in less diaphragm (from 4 to 2.8/ from 1.8 to 1.2) losing a lot of clarity and gaining a lot in practicality. Which you can't do a sLR. LET'S COME AGAINST IT. The battery life is subjective, I have two originalones, but for a daily outing and both on holiday stressed a lot I managed to make a full day or a little less, using only the viewfinder and keeping the screen off (facing inwards). In such a small body you can not claim to have the battery of a computer and, considering the ridiculous cost, lightness/size of the batteries and the little time to replace them, it is up to you to decide whether to classify it as an absolute defect or not. Good ergonomics with a 50mm 1.8, and so I assume even with EF-M lenses being lightweight. INSUFFICENT ADOLON instead if you mount big and heavy lenses (24-105, 70-300), but I solved it with a 3D printed external grip and now I have a salner grip. Unfortunately, at least one additional dial is missing to adjust a few parameters, after a few months I got into the habit of using touch and almost all customizable keys, but I still consider it a flaw. CONCLUSION Let's talk about a 500 euro body used, if you are willing to make compromises for the "cons", the "pros" instead of this M50 make it perfect as a travel machine, second body or any scope. In short, we are talking about a 500 euro body used, only half of these pros should convince you to have it already in your kit! EDIT: That said, if interested is for sale or looking for exchange with Canon 6D or 6D MKii for need of an FF

Pros: Compactness and autofocus. Price

Cons: 4k Farlocco. Much better Full HD 60 fps. Lack of tropicalization.

Opinion: Among the merits of this camera is the fact that the Canon M50 Mirrorless maintains a very compact body without sacrificing autofocus, excellent thanks to the Dual Pixel system, and stabilization, which is electronically realized in combination with the EF-M Optics Stabilized. This is then the only one among the mirrorless Canon to make 4K video but the M50 records movies even in fullHD at 60 fps in order to achieve slow motion effects. Also from a photographic point of view, the Canon M50 is a great camera to start taking pictures and is therefore recommended for beginners and for those who do not want to spend much in equipment. Finally, what interests people as we are used to photographing on the road we point out that, thanks to the very small size, the Canon EOS M50 is the perfect mirrorless for travel: This room is light and compact it is almost pocketable and can be Quietly put in a bag or backpack without giving in the eye.
