![]() | Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 Pros: Aesthetics, construction, versatility, price Cons: Sharpness, autofocus Opinion: It looks like a nice lens, it costs relatively little and is done really well, when you open the box you can't wait to graft it on the machine, then it is relatively light. The hood is certainly a bit subdued, very plastic. Once you use it though, the magic vanishes.. inaccurate autofocus, suffers from front / back focus, the sharpness is therefore ridiculous, and then tends to overexposure all the photos, thus sending the light meter of the machine into crisis. In a nutshell after a month of rehearsals, I sent it back and took the sigma 60-600 that I fell in love with. sent on July 09, 2021 |
![]() | Canon 6D Mark II Pros: Very versatile, great af, great low iso rows Cons: iso high Opinion: Unlike what everyone writes, I found myself sick with this machine only at high iso, where the returned file had an unacceptable grain, too large, already present at 3200 iso. I never understood if it was a problem related to the fact that I bought it just out and therefore the programs could not decode the files well, but since it was flanked by 6D as a FF body, I could only see the differences against it in this respect. After the negative points (FOR ME only 1), otherwise it is an exceptional machine, suitable for everything, the adjustable display I regret every day, as well as the dual pixel in live view. The 26mp are the right compromise, the files are well workable, quite light and rich in colors. The body is also perhaps one of my favorites such as construction and ergonomics, as well as features, it is a very complete machine. Since it is quite compact, it is also suitable in my opinion for those who travel a lot and want a bodysuit that is fine in the pocket of a crossbody backpack. The 40D burst is perfect for the type of machine and combined with a very performing af module, it does not disappoint even in naturalistic with dynamic subjects. sent on June 15, 2021 |
![]() | Canon 6D Pros: high iso seal, thread workability and lightness, ergonomics and lightness Cons: nobody Opinion: I think this is one of Canon's most successful machines. She has a crazy file, high iso never disappoints, almost better than 1Dx, but still has nothing to envy to her. For those who do not have sports needs, this is a machine that knows how to give great satisfaction, but still wanting to see using the central point is very precise and fast in focus. The flurry is barely enough, otherwise as a ceremonial or landscape machine it is perfect, although unfortunately it has only one slot for SDs, which could make ceremonialists turn their noses up. sent on June 15, 2021 |
![]() | Canon 5Ds R Pros: all Cons: nothing Opinion: This is an LA camera. After trying and possessing many, I decided that she will stay with me forever. The only drawback is the consumption of batteries, especially in live view, the sensor is very energivore, but honestly it does not matter, because the files it gives are like paintings, I have never seen files with a similar definition and quality, but what is even better are the colors, superb! Every time I shoot with this body I am pleasantly surprised even by the speed of the af module which is very precise, even more precise than my 7D II, which I sold after having it side by side with it. In naturalistic it is perfect, it allows incredible Crops and if you do not need to croppare you get a file with crazy details, I call them delicious, because then you get used to continuing to croppare on every detail of the photo to see "further" and enjoy the immortalized scene better. At first maybe it is difficult to use, you have to know how to use it, but even at high iso it has never given me problems, not even of micromox as many decant, probably without having even tried it thoroughly! Even with dated optics it gives exceptional results, indeed I am often convinced that it gives it a second life. The best machine ever produced by Canon in my opinion, and in the opinion of many colleagues. sent on June 15, 2021 |
![]() | Canon 5D Mark II Pros: Colours, ergonomics, tropicalization Cons: nobody Opinion: This was a body I wanted for years and finally when I bought it, it let me down a bit. Let's be clear, it's a fantastic machine, but the spark didn't start, maybe because it has a slight latency when you press the shutter button, which I honestly didn't like, but it's nonsense of course and has nothing to do with the problems, because that's what I wouldn't call it. The colors are at the top, beautiful and very deep, the rows are well workable, as well as the three-dimensionality of the same. If you are used to shooting in LV, with this machine the automatic focus is a bit cumbersome. Right now it's a little dated, but honestly as a pure landscaping machine I'd buy it back, I'd like to give you a second chance. sent on June 15, 2021 |
![]() | Canon 7D Mark II Pros: Great machine, great AF, great ergonomics, burst, silent shot Cons: nobody Opinion: This machine if you know what you are buying, has no cons. It has an exceptional af module, accompanied by a 10 fps burst that are entirely adequate for birdlife and nature in general. The body combined with the battery grip is very ergonomic. I took it instead of the 70D, and never chosen it was more right, af better, exceptional viewfinder, fully customizable af settings with the various scenes, burst with 3fps more than in some cases does not hurt. The younger sister is a machine that is fine as a handyman, but honestly the 7D II in my opinion must be combined with a full frame, because it is very specialized, it is a body dedicated to action. I only sold it because after buying the 5DSr I was no longer able to use anything else! sent on June 15, 2021 |
![]() | Canon 70D Pros: Ergonomics, fps, articulated screen and touch, file quality, colors Cons: iso seal Opinion: This was a lady machine for me. I started approaching photography in a more serious way, because I was so pleased that I could no longer do without it, despite the fact that my photographic path began many years before its purchase (my first car was purchased at the age of 12). I took it new to Amazon at a price of 946€, just out, crazy to see the prices now of the semi-pros, they have increased by at least 2/300€ and remain unchanged after months. The high iso seal is not its forte, but certainly with a little shrewdness in post, the files are still usable up to iso3200. The flurry of 7FPS is quite sufficient, in the end in 90% of cases it is difficult to want more. It is very versatile thanks also to its fully articulated display, and all in all also quite light. The tropicalization, although not at 7D&CO levels, is excellent! I've always found the AF module great, it never let me down and it's always been accurate. sent on June 15, 2021 |
![]() | Canon 40D Pros: Great ergonomics, great rows, price, burst Cons: nobody Opinion: He borrowed for a few shots, having it in his family. At the time this was a body that had to say, especially in naturalistic, the 6.5fps were completely adequate, the megapixels were certainly few compared to modern machines, but right for the period, maybe the 15 of the 50 were more a correct. As a high-iso estate it does not work miracles, better not to go beyond 800/1600. Overall now to start it is great, it can give satisfaction, in addition the files are very light and easy to manage in post production, they also guarantee excellent colors. sent on June 15, 2021 |
![]() | Canon 30D Pros: Magnesium body with excellent ergonomics, very large photodiodes, very light rows Cons: nothing Opinion: Logically it's a dated REFLEX, if you were to buy it now, it would be great to learn, but it has big limits if you were to go further. The 8 megapixels are not a few at all, it produces extremely sharp and crispy rows with the right lenses, obviously the subject does not have to be at a sidereal distance, because you can not afford endless crops. The burst is adequate, as is autofocus. The biggest jump is with the 40D which is certainly more usable and complete as a semi-pro REFLEX sent on June 15, 2021 |
![]() | Canon 400D Pros: files, size, low-duty files Cons: nobody Opinion: I honestly don't remember much about this machine, but I remember something very specific.. it was my first DSLR after so many studies and desires. Taken used by a boy my age, the first experiments were born immediately, the first photos.. The files it returns are great, I remember the nice colors, good sharpness even with mediocre lenses, since its 10mps are not very demanding.. Sold for 30D, at the moment there is much better, electronics and technology makes great strides, if I had to recommend it, maybe I would say to orient yourself at least on the 450D that in my opinion had an extra 360 degree gear. sent on June 15, 2021 |
![]() | Sigma 105mm f/2.8 Macro DG OS HSM Pros: sharpness, colors, stabilizer Cons: nobody Opinion: I honestly didn't expect it, it was given to me for my twenty-fifth birthday, and it was immediately a great emotion to use it. I used to own the Tamron 90, but this lens in my opinion is of another category, in addition to the sharpness that distinguishes all macro optics, it has a fantastic bokeh, the background looks almost like a stained glass slab! Being a 105mm it is also great for portraits, although I prefer other types of photos. It is not tropicalized, but I do not see it too much as a con, in the end being a macro, you have to study the subjects and the scene well and you can hardly find one's photographing in prohibitive situations. sent on June 15, 2021 |
![]() | Canon EF 400mm f/5.6 L USM Pros: Light, crisp, not too expensive Cons: minimum focus distance, tropicalization Opinion: I started taking bird pictures with this lens, desired for many years, I finally earned it in 2016. At first I had a bit of a hard time understanding it, the absence of the stabilizer on aps-c gets a little felt, you have to use very fast shooting times to get level photos. The fact that it is not tropicalized and its minimum focus distance are a little penalizing, but once you know these two things you take the necessary precautions. In my opinion it is perfect as an optics to photograph birds in flight since its focus is always very fast and precise and since it is light, it is easier to manage freehand, but it is not bad even for static subjects. In general it gave me great shots, it's hard to part with. sent on June 15, 2021 |
![]() | Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Pros: Crisp, great focal range, stabilized, AF fast, tropicalized Cons: nobody Opinion: Honestly, I always preferred it at 24-70 because of the greater range of focals covered and because of the stabilizer. Never replaced with the latest versions, it has always satisfied me, it has excellent colors, excellent bokeh and excellent clarity even at full opening. I wonder how it is possible that as a score has dropped so much, in my opinion many people do not realize what they have in their hands, this is a certainly dated optics, but it has nothing to do with those standards sold together with entry level aps-c, it is a great adventure companion that will certainly not disappoint you! I use it with great satisfaction even on 5DSr, the files it returns are always very beautiful, free of aberrations and very sharp, but the thing I always like are the colors.. I also have the 16-35 f/4, but I always prefer this by landscape. sent on June 15, 2021 |
![]() | Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM II Pros: Crisp, stabilized, tropicalized, compact Cons: nobody Opinion: This is a zoom mr, I usually prefer fixed optics, but honestly in front of the 100-400 I have nothing to say, it has a great af, a great stabilizer and excellent sharpness at all focal points! Being quite compact and light it is easily transportable, even multiplied it loses little. Another strength is definitely the minimum focus distance at 400mm which is less than 1m, which ensures excellent Close-ups. Maybe the bokeh is not the best wanting to find a hair in the egg sent on June 15, 2021 |
![]() | Canon EF 200mm f/2.8 L II USM Pros: Sharpness, bokeh, colors, size, cost Cons: nothing Opinion: The versatility of this lens is not its strong point, but perhaps it remains the only sore point. If a person knows what he wants, he should also understand that this remains one of the most misunderstood optics in the entire Canon catalog, until then you try it. If you attend an event with other photographers everyone will ask "what optics is it?" "but is it 135L?". and no, it is the excellent 200mm, a lens that few know and few know how to appreciate. It has a bokeh that in my opinion is magical, very pasty, better than the 70-200 2.8, also it is indiscreet and small, so it is not the usual brick to carry around! For 5 years he has been accompanying my kit and I honestly used it also in naturalistic with excellent results in poor light conditions! The focus is very fast and precise, and last thing, in my opinion it is beautiful, the larger front lens of the barrel is a pleasure to clean and admire every time you take off the cap! sent on June 15, 2021 |
![]() | Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Pros: light, small, crisp, cheap Cons: nobody Opinion: For the price that this lens has it is difficult to find a con against it, I have possessed it since its release to replace the older non-STM version. The focus is excellent, not at the level of the USMs (the real ones, however, not the usm of 50 1.4), but still not as noisy and inaccurate as that of a traditional moped. Certainly very sharp, even at full opening, it is a lens that is cheap, but it knows how to give so much, it is so compact that it would be a shame to leave it at home! sent on June 15, 2021 |
![]() | Canon EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM Pros: sharpening all over the frame at all focal points, weight, stabilizer, tropicalization, performance-related price Cons: Plastic (excellent, but always better metal) Opinion: Optics purchased in February 2017, until now it has only given me satisfactions from every point of view, at 16mm freehand I managed to make "long exposures" of waterfalls that I honestly did not think it was possible to do without the help of a tripod! The sharpness is already excellent at f/4 at all focal points, the af is excellent and in addition it is also tropicalized.. The only thing that makes me turn my nose up is the excellent construction, but made with plastic materials, which I honestly do not love! sent on June 15, 2021 |
![]() | Sigma 60-600mm f/4.5-6.3 DG OS HSM Sport Pros: Stabilizer, af speed, focal ranges, sharpness at all focal points, swiss arcane foot, tropicalization, price, minimum focus distance Cons: Weight (however for a 10x with this quality there is everything), bracket with delicate paint Opinion: An exceptional lens, combined with a 16-35 in the mountains covers a range of crazy focals. I have been owning it since December 2019, immediately appreciated both freehand and on tripods, and subsequently taken to the mountains, it has always given me great satisfaction. Certainly a little weighty as an optics, but on the other hand it is a 600mm with stabilizer, you can not expect better with this quality both constructive and in terms of photographic result! Another positive note is the minimum focus distance, of only 60cm at 200mm focal, but even at 400 it is very close, I have never tested how much, but enough to be able to make some macros not too pushed! sent on June 15, 2021 |
