![]() | Sigma 40mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Pros: All Cons: Weight and overall dimensions Opinion: A few words to describe this lens, excellent in everything, sharpness to the extreme on the whole frame, aberration absent, blurred gorgeous, excellent autofocus. The only thing against are the weight and the bulk, several times I tried to give it away to replace it with another more "human" perspective, but its yield is more unique than rare so it has always returned to the fold. I find, according to my tastes, that the focal length is perfect for portrait set, not too narrow as a 50mm not too wide as a 35mm with a detachment and three-dimensionality crazy. I use it on Nikon Z6, and the autofocus doesn't get a beat. You can find it now at really bargain prices for what it's worth. If you're not afraid of its size, it's a lens that will never let you down!!! sent on April 20, 2023 |
![]() | Canon RF 85mm f/2 Macro IS STM Pros: Sharpness, macro, blurry, stabilizer Cons: Autofocus Opinion: I bought this lens because I wanted a more universal lens than an 85 1.4 for portrait and a 100 2.8 macro, very specific. The compromise of having a maximum aperture of f2 is compensated by the possibility of approaching up to a magnification of 1:2, remarkable for a portrait lens. The sharpness is uncompromising, you always shoot quietly at maximum aperture with total precision of focus. the blurry is not from 1.4 and could not be, but I assure you that even at f2 you get very pleasant results and a more than excellent detachment without permanently eliminating the surrounding environment but isolating the subject in the right amount. the parts a little negative are the speed of the autofocus, although it gains in precision, and the focus in macro mode, a little difficult if very close to the subject, in these cases better to use the manual focus. Excellent construction and well compacted a little less the extension of the internal barrel. I highly recommend this lens to those who, like me, do not have a specific continuous genre between portrait and macro but a mixture of both without compromising too much one and the other. Rating 9.5. sent on August 07, 2021 |
![]() | Nikon Z 24-70mm f/4 S Pros: Small and light but sturdy, excellent sharpness from f4. Cons: If you are looking for an f4, nothing relevant. Opinion: I was looking for a zoom for my Z7 that was transportable but quality, I was fully satisfied with this little toy built very well and a really high quality. The defect is the vignette, but it is also corrected manually on Lightroom. Sharp at all focal points at any diaphragm opening, it's an f4 but with the Z7's excellent stabilizer I can shoot even at 1/15 without movement. I recommend it without hesitation. sent on September 07, 2020 |
![]() | Nikon Z 85mm f/1.8 S Pros: Sharp already at 1.8, non-existent aberrations, very nice blurred Cons: Maybe the price but the quality you pay Opinion: Passionate about portraits I could not miss this little gem, I use it on Nikon Z7 and it's great. Stunning sharpness already at the maximum opening of diaphragm, soft blurred with excellent detachment of the planes. I also had Sigma 85 1.4 ART, but this does not make me regret both quality and lightness. Solid construction and well done. If you are passionate about the portrait I highly recommend it, of course the price is still high but for me the money is worth them all. sent on September 07, 2020 |
![]() | Nikon Z 50mm f/1.8 S Pros: Impeccable, sharp, light excellent construction Cons: Don't have it Opinion: I had so many 50mm from 1.4mm up, but this is really extraordinary, unthinkable sharpness already at 1.8, virtually non-existent aberrations great blurred. I mount it on my Z7 for portraits and it amazes me every time I open the files on lightroom. From justice to the Z7 sensor with incredible resolution. Stra recommended. sent on September 07, 2020 |
![]() | Nikon AF DX 10.5mm f/2.8 G ED Fisheye Pros: Photo quality and amazing sharpness already at 2.8, construction Cons: Only the price on the new Opinion: I took this lens to get out a little bit from the usual standard photos, what to say, I was amazed by its quality and high sharpness, I assume I use it on D500. The focus, although using the camera engine, is fast and precise. To date its flaw is the price on the new, I took it used as new at 300 euros and in this case it is really convenient. Funny with endless creativity. sent on February 19, 2020 |
![]() | Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM Sport Pros: Construction - sharpness - autofocus - stabilizer Cons: Weight Opinion: What to say, a stratospheric lens in all respects. I bought it used when I was 6D, I immediately fell in love with it. Now I've taken it back on my D810, the sharpness of this optics is not afraid at all of the 36 MP The stabilizer is a wonder, I shoot quietly at 1/30 to 200mm. Creamy blurred for fairytale portraits, it's not a 1.4, but it defends itself very well. The autofocus, which is then the one that worried me the most given the negative experience of 105 1.4 ART, is infallible, it will not take a hit except for my mistake, a real satisfaction. One thing against? The weight, but too many are the merits in his favor to take it into account, you forget it after seeing the shots on the PC. Rating 10 sent on January 13, 2020 |
![]() | Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Pros: Spectacular sharpness already at 1.4 - fuzzy fairy tale - autofocus fast and precise - flawless construction. Cons: But the quality pays off. Opinion: I took it recently, I made a photo exit and I can only praise this little big gem. I assume that I use it on nikon D810 and already at the maximum opening solves without hesitation its 36 MPs, closing a little becomes a sharp blade. There are maybe specimens with focus problems, especially on Canon that with my ex 6D was not accurate, I for safety, for what it costs, I took the USB Dock station and in addition to updating the firmware I made a small calibration , but he's a sniper in any photo situation he doesn't take a shot. Weight and clutter can be the only downside, for me it is not a problem indeed it is a pleasure to hold this sturdy beast in my hand. I recommend it to portrait lovers, impeccable results. sent on November 07, 2019 |
![]() | Canon EF 20mm f/2.8 USM Pros: Construction, sharpness from f4, to 2.8 good, very low distortion, soft color yield, vintage colors Cons: Vignette, backlight in critical situations Opinion: I say that I use it on 6D, I honestly found it very good, on the web the vast majority talk about it very badly, I do not understand what parameters of observation are made. Natural colors not contrasted, shadows not closed, low distortion, excellent sharpness from f4, by necessity you can safely use even at 2.8, in short for me it is a very good lens so I completely disassociate myself from the negative comments of others. The construction, although not an L-series, is dignified and robust. On the other hand, the vignette is elevated to the most open diaphragms but it is corrected in a quiet click, and the backlight but only in really critical situations, sun in the frame. I recommend it, low price especially in the used and excellent quality in general. sent on July 23, 2019 |
![]() | Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 HSM Art Pros: High sharpness, almost absent distortion, water resistant construction, minimal aberrations Cons: Weight and footprint, but the quality weighs Opinion: I took this lens to experience different perspectives and I made an exit to try this beautiful lens, I was open-mouthed, sharp from fear a blade already at 2.8, neutral colors, good resistance to backlight does not lack anything, the price, if Considered the alterego of Nikon, it is economical compared to performance. Zoom nuts and smooth focus with right consistency, fast autofocus and Precisissimo, has the electromagnetic diaphragm the Nikon version as the Canon. What about if instead of a kidney you make out half, referring to the price, I highly recommend it, does not need to envy any goal. Of course the weight is there, 1150 grams are many, but after a while no longer feel, I have you fell asleep or you have made a habit. Sigma with these latest productions has taken a giant step. sent on December 07, 2018 |
![]() | Sigma 20mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Pros: Sharp sharpness from 1.4, neutral colors, professional construction, autofocus very precise Cons: Weight and footprint but it's worth it Opinion: I was undecided for a while, party from the Nikon 16-35 F4, which I reviewed and considered a very good lens, I was then undecided what to take between the Nikon 20 1, 8g and this Sigma 20 1.4 ART to have more brightness than versatility, well I tried them both in store and out and I Chosen the Nikon 20 1, 8g for the lightness and the little footprint, glad I arrive home out of curiosity I open the files downloaded from my camera of the tests I did when I was in the store and.... I was appalled!!!! The Sigma 20 1.4 won in all, I only snapped at 1.4 and F2, the sharpness of the tiny details from afar was impressive, while the Nikon was great starting at F2,8 Morale? I came back the next day, tormenting me at night, and I replaced the Nikon with the Sigma. I confirm the really high quality of this lens, very sharp already at 1.4 not to be believed, neutral and beautiful colors, negligible dystrophy. If you don't fear weight and clutter, I highly recommend it. sent on November 29, 2018 |
![]() | Nikon AF-S 16-35mm f/4 G ED VR Pros: Versatility, sharpness, counterlight sealing, construction. Cons: Slight loss at the extreme edges, 16mm distortion easily correctable in post. Opinion: There are various thoughts and experiences on this lens, I noticed the negative comments of the last 4 users, while the previous reviews are exciting, this makes me think maybe an inconstancy of quality of the specimens, I say this because mine is extraordinary, Excellent sharpness on the center and median parts of the frame already at F4 which closes further improves, a slight drop in the extreme edges but I think is justified by the amplitude of the zoom. I confirm the distortion to 16mm, but it corrects fine in post, easily on Lightroom that I use. At 35mm It is true that it loses a little bit, but not so dramatic the result then I noticed that it also depends on the origin of the light. In conclusion I can say that the lens is great as long as you find the specimen without defects, so I recommend it quietly but try it before you buy it. sent on November 14, 2018 |
![]() | Nikon AF-S 35mm f/1.8G Pros: Sharpness already at 1.8, AF accurate, bright Cons: For me nothing important maybe a little price, but it's worth them all. Opinion: What about, I just took this little gem replacing it at 35 F2D, I did not expect this quality, sharp already at the maximum opening and closing becomes a blade, photographic features like the classics of the G series, crisp in the colors and I find it blurred very Nice. The construction is plasticose, but sturdy and well made. sent on September 24, 2018 |
![]() | Nikon AF 35mm f/2 D Pros: Sharpness, chromatic rendition, unclosed shadows, excellent construction Cons: Vignetting at F2 Opinion: Taken recently, what about my D700 an excellent lens, clear already from the maximum aperture, colors and shadows excellent, I find the construction better than the versions G, small and light is not pointed out too, the only point neegativo, if you can say so, is the Vignetting at F2 But it corrects well in the post, in short for those looking for a 35 and does not want to overtake, this is really a must, I highly recommend it. sent on August 30, 2018 |
![]() | Nikon AF 80-200 f/2.8 ED D Pros: Sharpness already at 2.8, color rendering, soft tonal passages Cons: Autofocus limited by the internal engine of the camera, no VR Opinion: Are you looking for a quality telezoom for portraits, concerts, theater, scenery? This is your goal, quality is unquestionable, colors and tonal passages beautiful, shadows not closed as the G.rnIl versions against, perhaps, the autofocus speed, which on my D700 is good but certainly does not reach the AFS and the fact that is not VR, to me personally this does not create problems, not recommended for those who mainly photographs sports, photographic hunting and all those fast moving situations, for the rest is a really excellent goal, excellent build quality. sent on March 30, 2018 |
![]() | Nikon AF-S 85mm f/1.4 G Pros: Sharpness, blurred, backlighting construction Cons: Price Opinion: I recently took this optics to use in my D7100, which say sharpness to sell, already at 1.4 if you pay attention you can get excellent results.rnThe blurred is fabulous and has a good resistance to the backlight.rnNonostante the use on DX with crowded sensor this little jewel does not intimidate, I chose 1.4 because the passion for photography leads me to choose bright lenses, then I prefer to stay at home Nikon. I find the construction excellent, the used plastic is robust. If you do not want to compromise and you can spend it I highly recommend it, with the used you can do good business, however I do not disdain the cheapest 1.8G, but ..... sent on March 20, 2017 |
![]() | Nikon AF 180mm f/2.8 D ED IF Pros: Sharpness already at 2.8, construction and overall quality Cons: Nothing for what it is Opinion: magnificent goal, I use it on DX which theoretically should make less, but in my opinion its photo quality is excellent, clear already at the maximum aperture and f4 becomes a rasoio.rnSui portraits has an incredible detachment as few and a mellow and soft bouchet .rnUn bit of chromatic aberration to 2.8 but nothing shocking, if you get the chance it vivamente.rnL'AF advice is not as slow as other D for me, and the use that I do is great and accurate. sent on March 16, 2017 |
![]() | Nikon AF-S 28mm f/1.8 G Pros: High sharpness, colors, precise autofocus, held against the light. Cons: Focus Ring. Opinion: I recently took this lens because I wanted a normal hard on my D7100, the 35 was too long while this is great according to my tastes naturalmente.rnLa optical quality is excellent, already very high sharpness at maximum aperture, autofocus is fast but above accurate, non sgarra a colpo.rnPurtroppo the focus ring has a little game and is not soft compared to my 60 2,8G, however, is not a problem since there never will work in the manuale.rnBuona held against the light .rnP.S. DX is fine 35 1.8g, economic and crisp too, my was an appropriate choice for that focal, then in the future, you never know, it is already to FF. rn sent on March 14, 2017 |
![]() | Nikon AF-S 50mm f/1.4 G Pros: Sharpness in color backlit bokeh made Cons: Price Opinion: Some people hate it, and there are those who love him, I find it very good, has a good seal against the light, the blur is smooth and color rendering is nice, sure 1.4 is not the best, but f2 it is already clear, I had turned 50 1.8g, but it is better only in sharpness at wide apertures, for the rest there are no paragoni.rnLa construction is plastic, a still robust and reliable plastic over time, moreover, the latest generation of Nikon lenses now make a good use, but this does not compromise the resistenza.rnIl price maybe a little high, but you will save money on used molto.rn sent on February 06, 2017 |
![]() | Nikon AF-S 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR Pros: Sharpness, fast and quiet AF, light and all-rounder and bayonet metal Cons: Price Opinion: I recently took this goal to match it to my modest D3300, I must say that, despite being allergic to always handyman zoom, this is one of the few that struck me positively in optical quality, sharpness is not lacking, provided you pay attention to camera shake, beautiful colors and ease of use for the entire zoom range. For me, I hate the bayonet plastic, fortunately this is not his caso.rnDifetti I have not encountered except the fact of being a little dark, but it is a characteristic that we face in the new scelta.rnIl price is altino but I think the overall quality it pays off. sent on December 14, 2016 |
![]() | Canon EOS M3 Pros: I believe that more can not be asked! Cons: For me nothing. Opinion: The choice of camera should be done according to their own use, if you prefer sports and certainly not buying a share EOS M3, but my passion are landscapes, portraits and street and these three kinds I could not ask for more in a small footprint without sacrificing photo quality that I consider excellent. The focus is as good as speed and precision as good, with the adapter slows down a little without compromising the photographic genre preferred by me, while remaining precise, there are ergonomic features and fast to apply the settings. The LCD screen is also seen well in broad daylight so that does not have a built-in viewfinder does not think it is a problem, maybe if he had a light sensor would be perfect. The highly recommend it to all who want to stay in Canon, with its infinite optical kit for compact size without sacrificing quality. sent on February 08, 2016 |
![]() | Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM Pros: Small, light, discreet, crystal clear already to 2.8, excellent compromise between a wide angle and a normal. Cons: None Opinion: I bought just out this objective, and already love him crazy, incredible quality already at large apertures, form together with my 70D compattona a nice quality, I combined the excellent 2.8 40, another small gem, and are a perfect match. Everywhere in the purse amateur photographer but also, why not, given that the professional looks good with its rivals costosi.rnLo recommend without hesitation. sent on April 30, 2015 |
