nikon_60d_microNikon AF 60mm f/2.8 D Micro

Pros: sharpness - slitins and weight content

Cons: for now nothing

Opinion: At first glance it may seem a bit vintage-like but often the appearance deceives and, as in this case using it, they appreciate its qualities. Recently found along with the more modern G ED. I preferred to opt for this old version in my opinion considerably superior of the G ED. Extraordinary sharpness, very low weight. Glass "generic" enough to be easily used in both portraiture and macro.

nikon_d5Nikon D5

Pros: Many, starting with the estate with high ISO - files in JPEG practically perfect - robustness and ergonomics typical of all the other flagshipnikON.

Cons: Undoubtedly the weight but after decades of using NIKON flagships is not a problem. A "against" is the poor availability of the excellent XQD cards and their price.

Opinion: I have been working with nikON professionals for at least 40 years; leaving out my old analogues F3, F100 and the mythical F5 with which I took tens of thousands of photographs, focusing only on the "digital" that I had and used, I went from the now Jurassic D1 to the D100, then from D2 to D3 and then to the extraordinary D3S used until not so long ago, with which, given its excellent hold at high ISO, I began to use flashes more and more rarely. Recently I switched to the D5 precisely because of my need to have an even better yield in conditions of little light: for me this is one of the greatest merits of the D5. In my opinion the XQD memory cards are extraordinary, at first I was a bit skeptical but I immediately thought again, and I wonder why they are never used more in photography. We could say that most likely "it is the best flagship ever", although this expression we have used and heard many times in recent years and punctually every time we have been disproved in a short time. As with the previous NIKON "flagships" in hand, it conveys an extraordinary feeling of solidity that must not make us forget the concentration of technology contained in that rigid shell. It is worth more than adding that the D5 shows a marked increase in "detail" compared to the previous D3 and D4. I read a couple of reviews, in my opinion meaningless that would compare this machine with others, including the D750, and with all respect, I see that even in the field of photography there is no lack of "keyboard experts", people who without ever raising their own sit from the chair and based on those pseude reviews that they find on the net pontificate to churn right and lack imbecile judgments. In my opinion, the only way to "judge" a camera or an optics is to use them in the field, as the sub-slate has always done. Good light to all.

nikon_35-70_f2-8Nikon AF 35-70mm f/2.8

Pros: Gorgeous sharpness, lens of yesterdays.

Cons: Pump mechanism doesn't make me crazy.

Opinion: I have owned this lens for several years time before handing it in when I had stopped using it. I made a big mistake because even if older did his job in Modino. In addition to my over the years I have used another pair but I have never happened to meet with Matted. Obviously can not compete with the modern 24-70 also because the major excursion of the latter is certainly more appreciable, to any good account for those who had problems of "budget" as can happen, the old 35-70 can largely do a great service.

nikon_80-200_f2-8dNikon AF 80-200 f/2.8 ED D

Pros: Great build quality

Cons: Weight, footprint and price when I buy it again

Opinion: I had this lens for a couple of years if I remember well in the period 2000/2002 after using the monoghiera for some time, which was still fine. I regret to have sold it, after all (in my opinion) both the monoghiera and the bigot were zoom to say the least excellent, by the undersigned stupidamete with the more modern 70-200 F/2.8

nikon_28-300vrNikon AF-S 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED VR

Pros: Lens all make in the absolute sense.

Cons: It's not the maximum brightness.

Opinion: I have been using this lens for several years, more than once I've been on the verge of selling it to raise a bit of money to buy brighter and better-performing optics, but then at the last moment I was always stuck, after all this optic allowed me to Shooting continuously while others next to me were obliged to change lenses or camera body. Of course I prefer my 24-70 f/2.8 But there are cases in which I have not had the time material to hack and change the lens to mount the 70/200 F/2.8 and just in those moments the good old 28/300 has continued to do very well his work.

nikon_24-70g_f2-8Nikon AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8 G ED

Pros: Build quality, first-rate lenses

Cons: Too bulky and heavy. Price

Opinion: I bought this lens several years ago, and since then I've never stopped using this kind of optics. To put it all previously I had the 28-70 f/2.8 But on the most beautiful of a photo shoot once mounted the AF of the 28-70 misfires, forcing me to fall back on an old 35-70 f/2.8 owe by a colleague, for me was a real nightmare. Anyway returning to the 24-70 in my opinion is a great lens that I think I could not help it, I think it is one of the most beautiful built so far by Nikon. Lately I'm going to buy the most modern version, I'm evaluating the thing. The price buying it new was high, but given the use that you can make the quality you pay.

nikon_14-24_f2-8Nikon AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8 G ED

Pros: Engraving, colour rendition, lens quality

Cons: Prominent front lens, price

Opinion: I rented it several years ago as I had requested a service for which a rather pushed wide angle was needed. I had the impression of having my hands a really amazing lens, I didn't notice any flare, a noticeable incision and sharpness even at full aperture. Although not artist to wide angles like this I do not understand the negative criticisms.

nikon_17-35_f2-8Nikon AF-S 17-35mm f/2.8 D ED

Pros: 2.8, diameter 77, well-balanced and saturated colors

Cons: I think the nightmare of engine failure remains.

Opinion: I owned this lens for several years, as I used it sporadically and decided to sell it to a colleague. I would add that he was extraordinary for his sharpness. Having had problems with the rupture of the AF on another lens of the same generation, I gave it up, regretting it soon after. However, it is a remarkable view. and versatile top.
