I used it on one of the first digital cameras available, a Kodak that mounted a digital sensor on Nikon N90 body. I therefore needed a lens that did not introduce distortion and could faithfully render the colors and texture of the products. After a few years I took the F90 body on film and used this lens as the main one to take photographs of everything, especially portraits or travel. I then used it on a Fuji S3 always with great satisfaction and now on an F4 again on film. I haven't done professional photography in decades but this is one of those lenses that I will never sell. It has a natural and three-dimensional rendering, with a beautiful contrast. It's a bit chubbly to get very close to small subjects without making shadows but it's really well done.

Opinion: I tested this lens in combination with my initially skeptical D750 as I love lenses with openings such as to allow blurry of a certain type since portraiture is my main passion. Immediately I was impressed by the sharpness and colors that this lens returns and, as a icing on the cake, in Black and White makes a lot. The blurry also proved very pleasant despite the maximum opening of 2.8. Another aspect that convinced me is in fact the focal point in fact I tried the 80mm, typical of the portrait, but it limited me a lot in use because it was too narrow. The 60mm is for my perfect taste. In the end, as you can imagine from a test it turned into a purchase by eventually replacing the classic 50mm in the bag. I consider it an excellent lens for those who have machines that allow to motorize their autofocus, unfortunately the recent Z do not allow to do so so it would work exclusively in manual and the speech changes them.

Pros: Aesthetically beautiful, mechanically TOP, Quick Autofocus, colors, sharpness, value for money!

Opinion: A crazy lens.... in the sense that it's crazy.... in the sense that you use it quietly to make a portrait or a glimpse of landscape, a still life, of the food any small object and you get up to photograph an ant! f/2.8 minimum that gives a fabulous clarity and a very pleasant blurry with very linear passages. I don't find autofocus at all slow (as some complain) compared to Sigma and Tamron this is lightning, lightning, instantaneous and silent! In manual the focus ring is wonderful, being really well built, it allows you to have a sniper adjustment, no games, frills, returns or other. Luckily I was able to buy a specimen to say the least.. "splendid", at about 300 Euros and I can say that for the range of situations that it manages to cover and for the quality of everything already indicated, it can be worth absolutely much more than what it costs!!! Very recommended lens... once mounted, you hardly take it out of the car!
