![]() | Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L USM Pros: Color rendering, sharpness Cons: I didn't find any, maybe the price Opinion: It was probably one of the nicest lenses I've ever had along with the 135 F2. I probably think it is even superior to the second series, too perfect, too precise. This 35 1.4 has a "vintage" soul, the rendering is wonderful and is suitable for both street photography and portraiture. Perfect and lightning-fast focus, it doesn't miss a shot (with high-end cameras). I think if I had to find a flaw it is the price. Even today used it costs an arm and a leg. sent on February 09, 2025 |
![]() | Sony A7 III Pros: Size, weight, file quality, Full Frame almost top in its industry. Cons: Cumbersome menu, display and EVF behind competitors. You have to learn how to use its technology to make the most of it. Opinion: When I decided to switch from Reflex to Mirrorless I immediately thought of Sony and consequently of this camera, chopped and trimmed on the net with hundreds of reviews. Not being a professional and for how little I have taken in the last three years I can only confirm that it is a really well made, fast and Responsive machine, the focus is crazy (for those like me who had Canon 5 series ..) and does not miss a shot. Excellent also the quality of the file (but personally inferior to the "R" version) and the workability, as well as the seal at high ISO (which in my opinion is still inferior to the canon SLR bodies I had - 6d and 5dmk3). I did not appreciate a cumbersome menu even if customizations come to help. Certainly it is not a "point and shoot" machine, its technology must be managed to be able to exploit it and appreciate its files. sent on December 28, 2021 |
![]() | Fujifilm X-T3 Pros: Compact, aesthetically beautiful (for those who love a vintage aftertaste", fast in operation. Cons: AF slightly inferior to the competition, Nuts to learn to use. Opinion: Tried as soon as I came out hadn't impressed me. Now I took it back to replace the previous version (xt2) and I must say that beyond everything I found it at the fastest operational level, with a really excellent focus (but perhaps sony especially with EYE tracking is superior). File (especially the Jpeg) fantastic, interesting dimensions (and design, personally fantastic), for those looking for something to always keep behind (but watch out for the rings, you have to take your hand). There is a lack of stabilisation, but I cannot call it a 'cons'. No problem with the APP (iphone). sent on July 14, 2021 |
![]() | Fujifilm X-T2 Pros: Quality/price ratio among the best on the market also in 2021. Top mangability and gorgeous baked rows Cons: Not great battery life, AF not at the top when compared to the latest generation mirrorless. Opinion: I can say that I entered the Mirrorless world with Fuji, I also tried other models but for "ergonomics", practicality, ease of use, aesthetics and still do not know how many I could say, this camera is really a jewel for me. Sold and repurchased several times, I did not find better as price quality. The Files are gorgeous, I practically never process them. I recommend it to those who want a car to always keep behind for most genres, street, portrait, weddings. A welcome then to the optical park, affordable as prices and excellent as quality. sent on May 07, 2021 |
![]() | Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III RXD Pros: Value Cons: Probably the focal range Opinion: My first lens on sony (used on the A7 III and A7r III). I can't compare it to the competition but I can certainly confirm that as much as it costs it's a really interesting lens when you consider opening up to f2.8 and a warmer color trend than other proven designed designed on Sony cameras. I found it particularly sharp and first of vignettes even at the maximum opening, the rings are fluid and precise and to the touch by a nice feeling of solidity especially considering that it is a lens in my opinion suitable for ML cameras for its small size. Probably the only flaw (but it's not a flaw) is the range of focals starting at 28mm (versus 24 of the usual FF handymen) but objectively they haven't seemed like a problem to me so far. ![]() | Canon EF 85mm f/1.4 L IS USM Pros: Precise focus, excellent stabilizer, sharpness more than excellent Cons: It probably doesn't have the "wow" effect of brother 85 f1.2 and cousin 135 f2 and in my opinion has a disproportionate price Opinion: After trying more than a few portrait lenses, from sigma to the Big One, I decided to try to make the sacrifice (because it costs so much) and take this lens.... I have not regretted it at all, it really reflects what I was looking for: fast and precise focus, thanks to IS does not miss a beat except by my mistake, almost as sharp as the sigma (which are unattainable but have other problems) although I reserve to try a adjustment to improve it, perfect photos even without post production. I don't compare it to the Big One which remains a wow effect lens but with all the limitations (or qualities depends on the point of view) it carries behind it. I recommend it to those who want a definitive portrait lens. Two words about the price... even used is not under a thousand euros, whereas canon produces two more 85 (the big one and the f1.8) would have been perfect with a slightly lower price. sent on June 22, 2019 |
![]() | Canon EF 135mm f/2.0 L USM Pros: Sharp, blurry with fear, colors Cons: Himself, intended as his long focal... Opinion: I was looking for a portrait optics that would give me satisfaction and I must admit that at the beginning, when I bought this lens I thought I had made a hole in the water.. It is not an easy lens (like all Canon of a certain level) and often strongly denotes its being now an "outdated" project... but I assure you that using it has snapped that feeling that I did not expect... practically shooting only with this... and the results ( Especially closing a hair the diaphragm) are nothing short of excellent (for me)... I put as neo the fact that it can be a long lens, it was 100 was perfect. sent on July 15, 2018 |
![]() | Fujifilm XF 18-55 f/2.8-4R LM OIS Pros: Notide, quality, f 2.8 at 18mm Cons: Lens hood Attachment, tropicalization Opinion: I replaced with this lens that base (16-50) and I have to say that the difference in quality between the two really seemed to me remarkable... in the hand is sturdier, heavier (not too much), but at the same time from an excellent feel to the touch, the quality of the files it churns out is D Ecisamente better than the little brother (I also had the 27 F 2.8 but did not give me a positive feedback), moreover that 2.8 to 18mm allows you to shoot even in low light conditions. A grain the stabilization that seems to do well its duty, a flaw the lack of tropicalization. sent on May 27, 2018 |
![]() | Sigma 24-105mm f/4 DG OS HSM Art Pros: Sharp, excellent Maf without calibration (for a Sigma !!!), stabilizer Cons: Perhaps the weight Opinion: A step away from the sale because I thought I could find better in a brighter lens, I got to "stress" this lens during a friend's event and I can say that I completely fell in love (but the Sigma are in my heart !!) . It 's true a little bit heavy and that F4 maybe knows the limit, but I assure you that for an amateur like me find myself with a lot of shots made quickly and ALL in focus (even with little light, thanks stabilizer) is something excellent. Sharp to be scary, colors quite faithful to the original (someone claimed that they were a little cold), I can not help but say that I found my "handyman" .... and I will not take it away anymore! sent on March 05, 2018 |
![]() | Canon EF 35mm f/2 IS USM Pros: Price, focus, size Cons: Lens hood (expensive), aperture only F2 Opinion: I had twice this lens that I consider a "must have" for those who want to do street or otherwise set portraits. Missing character, stopping at F2 as an opening limits it compared to the 1.4 emblazoned (the big brother with the red line and the Sigma). Different instead if you aim to have a bright and clear lens (does his job very well) to bring it always behind given the size and weight.rnCosto maybe a little high in my opinion and accessories (hood) exaggerated for a lens that, as said, part already from a high cost.rnI would recommend. sent on February 02, 2018 |
![]() | Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Pros: Even sharpened to TA, dazzling blond, great quality and feeling of importance in the hands Cons: Some common problems with the MAF (but maybe it also depends on the fact that I'm not a professional) Opinion: I have twice bought this lens ... the first time I had really trouble with a "ballerina" focus, the second time with a little more experience I could tame it, finding a lense in my hands that I will not take away never from my kit. Bright, solid, great for the portraits, nice bokeh, classic Art Series clarity. I recommend to recommend it to anyone who wants a lens all around among all the fixes. sent on September 03, 2017 |
![]() | Tamron SP 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC USD Pros: quality / price ratio, weight, stabilizer Cons: Hood cumbersome, focusing not fast Opinion: I had this goal, he bought and resold twice. I am not a professional but in any case I can only confirm what we read the reviews written before me. For the price you pay it really is an excellent lens, the stabilizer helps a lot even though the focus is a bit slow. Sharp the right (but not too much more than 200mm) is an excellent choice for those who want to try. But using it you realize you want more and for that reason I sold it. It is still an excellent product. Recommended if you have a tight budget. sent on April 21, 2017 |
