![]() | Panasonic Leica DG 8-18mm f/2.8-4.0 ASPH Pros: Possibility to mount filters, construction, compactness, color rendering, sharpness, focal range... boh has many others that I'm not here to repeat! Cons: It is addictive and, perhaps..., the lack of the stabilizer to be able to take advantage of the dual optical / camera stabilization, but it is probably a NON-problem !!! Opinion: Purchased a few days ago for my G9, where the weight is very well balanced by the excellent ergonomics of the camera, it immediately amazed me for AF speed, Leica colors, sharpness, robustness and lens construction. I didn't take a lot of pictures, but the few ones immediately gave me the impression of a decidedly professional optics. The focal angle is excellent all around (equivalent 16-36 mm on FF). I have included among the cons the lack of the stabilizer to be able to take advantage of the double stabilization, but the focal lengths still allow an excellent use even freehand thanks to the excellent IBIS of the G9. Definitely important is the possibility of being able to use screw filters, which is no small thing when compared to its competitors. Another big flaw ? ADDICTIVE.... I have practically not yet detached it from the G9. sent on June 22, 2022 |
![]() | Panasonic G9 Pros: Top construction, dual slots, top display, customization, autofocus with 225 zones, EVF, ergonomics, amount of rings and selectors, spatial IBIS Cons: Extremely sensitive shutter button, if it can be a defect, given the size of the battery I would have expected a longer duration. Don't take it before Opinion: I state that I know the M43 system well, as I already have a GX8 and I exchanged the GX9 with this G9 a little out of curiosity, so let's say that I know what the strengths and weaknesses of this system may be. I add that I also have the Lumix 12-60 f/3.5-5.6, the Panaleica 15 f/1.7, the 35-100 f/4-5.6 and the 20 f/1.7, so a fairly complete and articulated kit. I took it from RCE Foto with very few shots and still with the films on the two displays, practically immaculate! I've had it for a couple of days, and I guarantee you that it is a camera that in your hand is addictive to how well it is built; it is solid, robust, it grips wonderfully has a lot of customizable keys and rings which literally allows you to "sew it on". To be an M43 weights a little, I admit, but it is that weight that gives security and confidence, so for me it is not a defect, far from it I would say ... Very nice EVF, perhaps it suffers from a slight distortion, but it is fluid and very very bright. I'm not here to judge the IQ, but if I can say that I'm satisfied with the images produced by the current GX8 and the previous GX9, I can only expect better from the G9 especially in terms of AF where I think it is definitely superior to the two previous models. Given its size I would have expected a longer battery life, but I reserve the right to do some tests with a new one, I would not like that having taken it used its battery was not 100% Needless to say that the double SD slot is priceless, such as the tropicalization and the status display, details that make this camera decidedly professional. They say it's also excellent for the video part, but I don't do them even with the mobile so I don't know what to say !!!! I should have just taken it earlier... sent on May 05, 2022 |
![]() | Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD Pros: Sharpness, bokeh, stabilizer, price to date Cons: Nothing Opinion: I start by saying that I bought it "new" at the current price of the used with 5 years of Polyphoto warranty, for my 6DII. First exclamation after opening the box "c***o how big it is"... yes, it is giant, heavy but mounted on the 6DII you achieve a balance that I think is excellent, and I also have rather small hands. Paraluce in the norm, they could make an extra effort. Stabilizer in style 70-300VC, excellent even if you activate a late "coat". Prepare your wallet for filters... 82mm is a nice pan! I like pretty hard rings, it gives the feeling of robustness. Excellent switch to lock the lens at 24mm to prevent it from widen, but with such hard rings I doubt it can happen. I think I got an almost perfect specimen, impressive sharpness even at TA and all the focal points and no front/back focus problems on my 6D2. At 24mm vignette not a little, but personally I consider it a "not fault", given the speed with here you can delete it in post... and then it can also be creative, can't it? Can it be the final 24-70 even several years after its release? For me definitely YES. sent on March 09, 2021 |
![]() | Tamron SP 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC USD Pros: General yield, stabilizer, solidity of the lampshed Cons: Slightly heavy, but I'm not the first to say it Opinion: Taken from a few days to really "two coffees" with two years warranty. Actually I also have the 70-200 f4L, but given the price and the 100mm more I decided to buy it. I used it a few hours on my 6D2, but if good morning you see from the morning... It's a heavy hair, but it's that weight that you think about quality despite the optics not being made of metal, and I still prefer "massive" optics because they manage in my opinion to better balance weights. The stabilizer is embarrassing, in a positive sense, of course. The image literally nails in the crosshairs and you can shoot at unthinkable times. With the 6D2 sensor the sharpness of this 70-300 is excellent up to about 220mm, as well as starting to expire slightly. All this with diaphragms quite closed. It has a chromatic character of its own that may or may not please, I love it, but they are tastes clearly. It's a dark lens, it's true, but in my opinion it's c**o to so many original analogues. For what it costs today it is definitely a "must have". Money spent really well sent on March 07, 2021 |
![]() | Canon 6D Mark II Pros: High sensitivity yield, touch and posable monitor, size and ergonomics in general, AF accuracy, infinite battery, connectivity Cons: I'd say nothing, but if I have to say one the lack of the Joystick Opinion: Bought just a week ago by RCE paired at 24-105, and so it won't be a real review, but more of a first impression on camera. I honestly read about cooked and raw on this 6D2, especially with regard to the dynamic range, boh it will be me eh... but I think it is more than satisfactory. Of course if you claim to recover 5 stops in the shadows without the slightest noise well.... maybe we didn't understand anything !!! It's easy to say that "I recover everything so much my camera sensor has an extended dynamic range"... no, it doesn't work that way, or rather you can also reason like this but do not pretend to entrust everything to your sensor, you will be disappointed. If you can expose well, recoveries are much easier and you will see that the "GD" of your 6D2 will be more than enough. That said... I try to expose well "before" and recovery shortly "after" !!! I love the ergonomics of this camera, I have small hands and it fits me perfectly, excellent connectivity sector, nothing is missing... not to mention the screen, a goduria. The battery is endless... a similar duration I remember only on my dear and beloved 40D, of course if we use GPS /WIFI the autonomy drops, but it is so easy to bring a second battery with us! Combined with the 24-105, this sensor almost never disappoints, and allows you to work easily even at high ISO speeds without any particular problems. I like it, and not a little! sent on March 05, 2021 |
![]() | Panasonic Lumix FZ300 Pros: Focal excursion, opening 2.8 over the range, ergonomics, practicality, low ISO image quality, excellent tropicalization and stabilization, RAW format presence, tilted and touch monitors, excellent video part (although I use very little) with jack for the external microphone. Ah I forgot, if you know how to use them even 12Mpx are enough ! Cons: Given the price, the amount of functions, the focal excursion, the fixed diaphragm at 2.8, 4K.... I would say no one! Opinion: After so many years of kits of various formats and Brand (I have both canon and Fujifilm), and since the shoulders begin to complain, I made the decision to return to this type of all-in-one cameras. After years of photography in MotoGP (2020 is a year to forget from this point of view for me), backpacks on my shoulders, and long walks in the sun and rain around the circuits... I decided to start "enjoying" this passion/work in serenity again. I love the mountains and I hike with my family. What do I have to tell you.... yes it is true the reflex and the ML have more beautiful files... yes, they have less noise... yes it's true, they have the biggest sensor !!! All true, but not when I'm on vacation or hiking in the mountains. This Panasonic Lumix FZ300 has pretty much everything, a concentration of technology with tropicalization and focal excursion from the standard wide angle to the super canvases... plus with a fixed aperture f/2.8 over the entire focal range. I have not tried it thoroughly since I have it for a couple of days, only the classic test photos, and if there is light the LEICA lens knows the fact, with Jpeg images always well balanced and very very sharp despite the "only" 12Mpx of the small sensor from 1/2.3"... The limit of yield with little light there is, and it is useless to deny it, but up to 1600 ISO, with a little work, you still get good images, but the FZ300 is born for other things... if there is light it gives so much satisfaction. The stabilization on 5 axes is impressive, image in the viewfinder/display immobile. Let's not talk about personalization; the menu is so vast and full of functions that you can sew the machine on you with also a series of FN "physical" buttons that can be combined at will. The display can be oriented in all directions, which is very useful; maybe the crosshairs is the only thing I would criticize, I would have liked it more resolute...., but it also goes like this. For those who want to travel light, but with an object that can also guarantee quality, I would say that the FZ300 could be the ideal companion, like this whole series of Panasonic bridges! I would suggest that Juza change the price on the card, so far it is on Amazon at 389 euros. sent on July 30, 2020 |
![]() | Panasonic GX9 Pros: Image Quality Also in JPEG, size and portability, fast and accurate AF, customization, connectivity Cons: Little pronounced Grip, GPS not present.... Others I have not found. Opinion: I bought it for just under a week, so this does not want to be a real review, but simply a story about the very first impressions. Camera aesthetically very pleasing and the size that make it suitable to be carried always with you. I took the Kit version with the Panasonic 12-60 F 3.5/5.6, then an "all around" optics with which you can do just about anything! From the very first impressions I noticed a quality of JPEG really very high, you also want for the absence of the Low Pass filter that increases the final sharpness. The color rendition is very good (I use the standard profile), and it is customizable throughout. The Focus system is always ready and fast, even when the light starts to drop. Excellent control arrangement, with two ring nuts that help a little in using the camera. The Display Personally I find it definitely good, even in very strong light conditions, and with a touch screen always ready and responsive and through which you can do really everything. The rear monitor is not completely tipper, but for me it is not a defect, but I recognize that for others it could be. I read about negative opinions on the viewfinder, honestly I find it honest and reliable, but each has its own yardstick. Definitely improve the grip... The camera is an "almost flat brick", so the handle is not the safest ever, but not to be disdain... It also depends on the size of your hands. You can remedy the problem by using the additional handle that definitely gives a better grip, but at the same time precludes the quick access to the battery compartment... Then when you download it will be necessary to disassemble the accessory to replace the accumulator. Customization to the top, the menu is so extensive that you can "sew" the camera on. The 20Mpx sensor is more than enough on all occasions, allowing even "hazardous" crop. I got to try it at best at 6400iso with good results, not striking of course, but in my opinion still usable. The Optics in kit, for the fact the 12-60 I think a little gem.... Little light, crisp, handyman... In short, a starting lens with which you can face any kind of photography... Travel/street/reportage without any kind of problem. I am also waiting for the 7-14 to complete this new M43 kit. There are also a flood of filters and additional large to achieve very pleasing effects, in short... There's almost nothing missing. There is No built-in GPS, but I suppose the photos can be geotaggated by the comfortable application for smartphones ImageAPP, which also uses low-power BlueThooth. I Would say therefore a good travel companion that will surely give you images of excellent quality at any junente. sent on March 25, 2019 |
![]() | Canon 7D Pros: operating speed, Autofocus, ergonomics and robustness of the machine body Cons: Noise at high ISO sensitivity if not used properly Opinion: I got this used car last year because I need a second body that had the APS-C sensor (before this I used a EOS40D, which still have). I paid little with only 3000 shots and in A + condition, not a scratch, practically new. I have read all the colors on this 7D, but I had match funding to take an upper body and then I decided to buy it anyway. The camera body has without a doubt an excellent construction, is very robust, and fits perfectly in your hand; all commands and functions are Canon EOS-style, so no problem of adaptation (I also have a 5D3 which has, of course, much more complex menu). I've always used for sports photography (MotoGP), and the AF system AIServo mode I have never betrayed, hooks and always follow without delay; has "only" 19 focus points, but for my use is more than enough. The flurry of 8fps helps a lot and the buffer is large enough. Very goodrear display, quite resolute and clear. With regard to image quality, I think broadly enough. Shooting mostly in jpeg, and files (with a few small on camera settings) are very good, with nice saturated colors. The 7D is a camera, however, not easy ... we speak of a sensor 18mpx "difficult" to manage. It suffers a bit in the recovery of the shadows where, if not exposed properly, you are likely to come up with a little noise, but this is nothing new for this camera. Since, however, the best with optical gauge, where you really expresses at best, and for important optical, I refer mainly to the L series of Canon. With these glasses both the speed and the focus precision, that the overall quality of the images quite salt, compared to a lower-end optics. rnHo fact noticed that the quality of the photos with the 7D is very influenced by the precision of focus, and the inconstancy AF di some optical (especially third-party) are the main cause of the many problems that you feel, rightly speak. I advise you to carefully check the calibration of their waves lenses avoid starting to pull down the whole calendar! RnrnLa file quality is very good up to 1600iso, in addition to be very careful to exhibit. This sensor, unfortunately, suffers much noise at high sensibilità.rnL'autonomia is more or less similar to my other cameras Canon.rnIn conclusion I believe that, if used properly, and knowing the limits, the 7D is a great camera, that it can give no little satisfaction. Every time I hold in my hand is a large flea soddisfazione.rnrnCon the prices we will take home an excellent solution for both start taking pictures, both for the advanced amateur photographers / Professionita wishing lighthouse a step forward. sent on March 13, 2017 |
![]() | Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Pros: Lightweight, improved construction compared to its predecessor, out of focus lighter, more silent AF engine and good sharpness in general Cons: For now, very few, maybe some aberration too, but manageable later. Opinion: I got a little bit out of the way (I paid 90 € with almost all the remaining warranty, with UV hood and UV filter Kenko PRO1D), and having had its predecessor I can safely say that money is spent very but very well. Already moving from a 5-lane diaphragm to one to 7 makes a big difference; Out of focus I find it much more beautiful and less aggressive than the previous one. The metal bayonet and the more silent AF engine are the icing on the cake for a look that is worth much more than it costs. Sharpness is "decent" at TA and dramatically improves diaphragm ... but if I buy a 1.8 optic is because i want to use it at 1.8; To TA is a bit soft, but easily compensated with some of the contrast mask. From 2.2 onwards is definitely great.rnIn this case it is worth saying "is worth more than what it costs". In conclusion, for me, it's a little jewel to have and it can give you some satisfaction. sent on February 13, 2017 |
![]() | Fujifilm X-E2 Pros: Aesthetically it is wonderful, quality image at the top, discretion and silence, rear display excellent Cons: Battery life (always better to have one or two in your pocket), AF sometimes inaccurate especially in low light Opinion: I already have a XE-1 so I know the X series of Fuji, and already with one I was comfortable. I took the XE-2 is used (but nearly new) to be improved especially for the WIFI and the electronic viewfinder. All improvements that I have found in this camera. The picture quality is undoubtedly the TOP of the range in the APS-C sensors. FA is definitely better than the XE-1, especially in the speed of engagement ... remains a little "lacking" in low light ... but nothing to worry about. Excellent management manual focus, with both the Focus Peaking that with the broken image, you are able to use with great satisfaction even manual lenses of third parties with great entertainment. The use mainly with his 18-55 and 35 1.4 ... It 'a camera that you buy used now at a great price and that definitely can give a lot of satisfaction. Not to mention the park optical Fuji undoubtedly be an added value to the quality of the final images. Attention to battery life, simple cKing have one or two in your pocket. sent on January 12, 2016 |
