Pros: A great camera that today you buy at really inviting cost, great autofocus unlike the bullshit that some users write, image quality, ergonomics, really unique general functions.

Cons: Nothing perhaps unlike the Olympus EM1X with which I work as MICRO4OTERZI a lower resistance to high iso, it seems to me that over 1600 and already these are already a limit in my opinion, there is a really annoying noise that can still be solved in post production.

Opinion: Great camera repeat that today you buy new under 1000 euros and it is worth them all, lightning autofocus 0.4 seconds a crazy speed, on the tip and shoots maybe only Olympus with the EM1X equals it but it costs twice as much, having also Sony and having worked with Fuji I can say that this jewel of Panasonic outperforms them. Nothing can be said about tracking, in my opinion having used it both on sports and naturalistic photos is very good, better than Olympus that struggles more but certainly not better than Sony alpha 9 that I use for the most. Otherwise a camera with many merits, I believe that some users should first learn to photograph knowing at least the fundamentals of photography and then judge, I read reviews on this site that I sometimes consider a real fun for the stupid ities that are written, however in my opinion an absolute 10 camera to recommend absolutely with an unsurpassed quality price ratio.

Pros: Image quality, high-resolution shooting Also : IT IS NICE TO READ REVIEWS OF LANDSCAPERS AND DESKTOP YOUTUBERS WHO PRAISE AF PANASONIC WITHOUT EVER USING IT and MOREOVER MANAGE TO SEE CLEAR DIFFERENCES ON THE ISO SEAL ON THE SAME SENSOR MOUNTED ON DIFFERENT BODIES... DIFFERENCES THAT ARE NOT EVEN 500% SEEN ON MONITORS WITH MAGNIFYING GLASS IN FRONT

Cons: AUTOFOCUS AUTOFOCUS AUTOFOCUS body machine with ergonomics under my expectations, very uncomfortable joystick, viewfinder in situations of counterlight, BATTERY LIFE. BE WARE OF FALSE REVIEWS ( EVEN FROM SHOPKEEPERS, AMBASSADORS.. AND WHAT ELSE) THAT WILL FOLLOW MINE AND EXALT THE SKILLS OF THE AF, SO THAT YOU CAN STILL BUY IT

Pros: all

Cons: weight

Opinion: The only machine body that satisfied me 100%, the only one I have been keeping for more than 1 year with me, excellent videos, excellent photos, high resolution mode, scary stabilization both video side and photo, with the 12-60 f2.8-4 of Panasonic I managed to take photos up to 4" of freehand exposure inside a cave. The only downside is size and weight, very close to apsc reflex such as Canon's 80d.

Pros: all

Cons: nothing

Opinion: Purchased in 2018, I can now review. I left Pentax for good, the years pass and the weights become important. I was immediately attracted to the 4/3 format and so I decided. Since I dedicate exclusively to naturalistic photography, I use this machine body with the Panasonic 100-400mm for birdlife, insects and wild animals in general. The G9 is great, I'm not going to describe all the benefits I found in using it, in previous reviews they were expressly cited by everyone. Accustomed to Pentax with the 150-450mm, I feel like I'm shooting in the wild with a compact one. Aesthetically to someone it may seem bad to see a naturalist photographer with a photographic equipment 25 cm long, the little man with camouflage and the 50cm cannon is so attractive. After 2 abundant years of use, I began to have a problem with the handle. I always hold the car in my hand, I never used the strap, so in the heat of summer began to untie the protective rubber of the memory card housing door a little. In fact, this opening of the door is not very practical, the fact is that between the heat and the openings/closures, this has happened. This year I purchased a second G9 machine body, the use with Olympus 60mm macro that I already used for flowers and mushrooms and rarely the Panasonic 14mm for landscapes.

Pros: Well-balanced construction quality and grip, Tropicalization, UHS-II SD Dual slot, Fast burst and more than valid buffer, Stabilization (effective especially in video - DUAL IS2), excellent ergonomics with three rings and all programmable keys, lcd top, 4K 50/60p video without crop (limited to 10min), Internal 10bit video, multiple useful functions (pixel shift, stop motion, time lapse, slow motion 180fps, etc...), Price/performance ratio in 2020/21

Cons: AF Joystick does not move diagonally, EVF bearing distortion, lack of Autofocus settings in video (AF Custom Settings)

Opinion: A machine with professional features and rich in features that are not yet found in many machines even more expensive or with larger sensor. Sensor that works without too much trouble up to ISO 1600, going up in ISO value with good light you can work the files in post production with some compromise but careful to recover strong sub-exposures. Autofocus with instant and precise DFD contrast system in AF-S, fast and good in AF-C photo side but tied to the shooting framerate in the video (performance drops by connecting external HDMI), then advisable the use of panasonic native optics for maximum effectiveness. An excellent micro 4/3 machine for those who are already part of the system or for those looking for a particularly versatile tool for multiple Photo-Video uses with an excellent price and performance ratio (749€ Fowa discounted March 2021). Very good image quality obtainable with the right light optics when compared to larger formats and keeping an eye on the budget, taking advantage of the equivalent factor wherever possible. Dimensions that should not "scare" given the excellent handle against a lower weight of the GH5.
