Pros: Very robust, ergonomics, operating speed, extremely wide viewfinder and with very good resolution even today, many video side features, very customizable AF, dual memory slots, high resolution mode (on tripod), HDMI port, excellent value for money

Cons: Weight and bulk that in some context can be limiting, AFC not optimal in very difficult dynamic contexts and in videos with low FPS, really important chromatic noise above 2000 ISO

Opinion: Purchased 2 years ago, it was my first interchangeable lens camera. To date, although more than 5 years have passed since its release, in my opinion it is among the best mirrorless on the market for the quality / price ratio (for me it was already in 2021). Used for landscapes, travel photos, lots of nature photography and some portraits, I appreciated it in all these genres. For me the ergonomics are fantastic, even if weight and size in some contexts are not ideal (in climbing and via ferratas I preferred more compact cameras). The sensitivity of the shutter button is also optimized for dynamic photography. Autofocus has improved continuously as firmware has gone through (the improvement with firmware 2.4, for example, has been important), but AFC in some very dynamic contexts and videos is not at the level of many newer mirrorless. Another limitation is that the sensor develops a really important chromatic noise above 2000 ISO. That said, for me it is still highly recommended, unless you have really professional pretensions in birdlife or you do not take adjustments in low light contexts or you do not need very high resolution photos.

Pros: Ergonomics, tropicalization, stabilization, top screen, autofocus species with animal identification, etc.

Cons: It is difficult, perhaps a little size and weight but always within the limits of 4/3

Opinion: Truly a fantastic car. I'm passionate about the 4/3 world and I must say that the G9 is the top. Easy to use, with a little study and practice of course, it has excellent ergonomics even if a little bigger than its sisters but on the other hand it has everything you need for a real flagship: very performing stabilization especially if with stabilized optics, tropicalized, returns high quality files even at JPG level, not to mention the RAW that almost never require changes to the WB, Excellent colors, top screen, etc. I am very satisfied with the purchase.

Pros: Autofocus in the photo department: excellent, ergonomics, photo quality, stratospheric stabilization combined with stabilized lenses, tropicalized... and much more...

Cons: Difficult to find one, perhaps the autofocus in video sometimes leaves something to be desired but you really have to go and look for it during the viewing phase ...

Opinion: Review not exhaustive for the short time available. Well, for what little I used it left me speechless especially the autofocus and stabilization: excellent! Unfortunately I had to make the return because it was defective. Already just removed from the box and charged the battery... I turn on and the viewer is black as well as the viewfinder. I fiddle around a bit and an indistinct series of vertical purple bands appears on the display. I geek again and finally the clear image of what I frame. I can take pictures and videos and I realize how much the autofocus and stabilization are much, much, better than I thought (already having the G100 and the G6) with the others there is no story! I put it back in my backpack and pull it out a week later before a vacation. I turn on, everything ok. Then again those purple bands: machine in total block! And here my jaw dropped. At this point I reluctantly made the return. Too bad it was a really good room (when it worked). But it is not said that in the future he will not try again because if, as he did on the S5 mark2, we are put the phase detection autofocus in combination with contrast detection (assuming it is feasible) ... Well, then there is nothing left for anyone!

Pros: Ergonomics, software, colors, high iso seal together but only thanks to the Denoise software otherwise poor as all M43 in general (but it is not their fault is the physics of the small sensor unfortunately)

Cons: Honestly none, maybe the size and weight not really in line with the Micro Quattri Terzi philosophy

Opinion: I'm currently using it instead of my D610. Honestly, I've never used such a reliable camera in my life. Sofware fast and intuitive, MAF that I must say has never canned a photo. I photographed my dog while he was running, the tour of Italy and several seagulls in flight and he always hooked them to me without problems. It holds very well in the hand, ergonomics really well studied. For now my second favorite, in first place as ergonomics there is the Olympus Em1 Mkii onwards, it seems made on the mold of my hand.

Pros: Ergonomics, AF for photos great (I do not make videos), customizations, viewfinder (even for those who wear glasses), dual card, incredible stabilization, High resolution, good autonomy for photos.

Cons: Nothing. For my way of photographing nothing is missing, on the contrary...

Opinion: As I said I only talk about the photographic side because I don't make videos. Initially I was hesitant since I already have a GX9 with the same sensor. In the end I took it essentially for two reasons: viewfinder and grip. But once I arrived I discovered another world. It is really addictive, it is sewn on you as an extension of your body. Everything at your fingertips, even using the manual MAF is a pleasure (especially with the latest FW). The single focus is lightning fast and customizable as you want. AFC rarely use it with my dogs that play and hook very well, especially with the Leica 12-60. I was going to take the OM1 which costs more than double... luckily I thought about it and I didn't make the mistake. It will have advanced technologies but honestly I do not need them
