Pros: Single autofocus, ergonomics, amount of functions, ease of use, it appears robust. Exceptional stabilization.

Cons: A bit bulky and heavy for an m4/3

Opinion: I had a great time there, I did a bit of everything at an amateur level with great satisfaction. I like well-made objects and this one is. The autofocus in photography seemed great to me, in movies I tend to use manual focus, but on some occasions I used autofocus and it actually happened to me that it pulsed a bit. The amount of functions is remarkable, but the most pleasant thing is certainly the ergonomics combined with the feeling of robustness. It is a well-made object that makes you want to shoot, it is very easy to use once you get the hang of it, both for the presence of many physical buttons, and for the excellent organization of the menu. On average, the quality of the photos is not at the same level as the Sony A7III that I also use, for reasons that are not worth mentioning because they are everywhere online, while in the videos in my opinion it is at the same level if not a little better. I use the Cine-D color profile which allows for smooth post-processing with great results. It should also be considered that it still has reference stabilization today, which I found more useful in movies than in photos. One thing that is not often said is that the difference in noise at the same ISO compared to the Sony A7 III (which has one of the best FF sensors) is certainly less than the 2 stops that the format would portend, indeed my feeling is that at high ISO it is closer to 1 stop.

Pros: Stabilized, ergonomic to fit perfectly in the hand, it offers many useful functions

Cons: AF sometimes uncertain, shutter release very sensitive. Some complain about the size being too large, for me it is a virtue instead.

Opinion: I love this camera body, it's my first micro four thirds body, I made the transition from the Canon world a year ago and I feel great, I was fine even before but let's say that the G9 meets all my needs as an amateur photographer. Stabilized, robust and aesthetically appealing in my opinion it is a real jewel, it was very advanced as soon as it came out and even now in my opinion it remains at the forefront.

Pros: I'd say everything

Cons: Af sometimes iffy with low light, big enough to be a micro 4/3 even if for my hands (size 8) it's perfect, lack of stacking on camera

Opinion: I state that I use it only to take photos, in my opinion the G9 is a camera that constructively has no compromises, tropicalized and ergonomically perfect for the hands. It has a viewfinder from which it is difficult to go back, bright, defined and does not miss a frame. The 20 mega pixel sensor for me is perfect, stabilized Ibis and allows power ois with dedicated optics going to recover up to 6.5 stops of light, an impressive thing. Clearly it is not pocket-sized, it is not the classic ultra-compact mirrorless that fits in the pocket but at the same time it counterbalances the weight of the heavier optics in an excellent way. The lack of a low-pass filter allows the sensor to better absorb the nuances of color making the photos three-dimensional. If you don't need to have a compact mirrorless it's the right choice, it has everything you need and more.

Pros: Very robust, ergonomics, operating speed, extremely wide viewfinder and with very good resolution even today, many video side features, very customizable AF, dual memory slots, high resolution mode (on tripod), HDMI port, excellent value for money

Cons: Weight and bulk that in some context can be limiting, AFC not optimal in very difficult dynamic contexts and in videos with low FPS, really important chromatic noise above 2000 ISO

Opinion: Purchased 2 years ago, it was my first interchangeable lens camera. To date, although more than 5 years have passed since its release, in my opinion it is among the best mirrorless on the market for the quality / price ratio (for me it was already in 2021). Used for landscapes, travel photos, lots of nature photography and some portraits, I appreciated it in all these genres. For me the ergonomics are fantastic, even if weight and size in some contexts are not ideal (in climbing and via ferratas I preferred more compact cameras). The sensitivity of the shutter button is also optimized for dynamic photography. Autofocus has improved continuously as firmware has gone through (the improvement with firmware 2.4, for example, has been important), but AFC in some very dynamic contexts and videos is not at the level of many newer mirrorless. Another limitation is that the sensor develops a really important chromatic noise above 2000 ISO. That said, for me it is still highly recommended, unless you have really professional pretensions in birdlife or you do not take adjustments in low light contexts or you do not need very high resolution photos.
