![]() | Canon EF 85mm f/1.2 L II USM Pros: Opening, Three-Dimensionality, Airiness, Off-Plan, Colours, Sharpness, solid Construction, Gradual and progressive Blur, complexion Rendition, L-Series Cons: Maybe AF a little slow (but nothing dramatic), tendency to suck dust inside Opinion: Magic Lens, without a doubt the best mediotele I have ever used and not only in the house Canon. I Have recently held the "Big One", nickname that I have been able to confirm as soon as I took in my hands this "specimen". Very large and powerful, with a very special build quality, being so bright needs "space" to accommodate the large front lens and the entire optical group: 1Kg abundant glass and steel.... Amazing and in my opinion the unique design and very appealing. Lens of the 2006, then not too "young" from the optical scheme inherited from the first series (dated 1989......). My first concern was the AF, which many have seen as slow.... I state that I had the 85 1.8 USM and all this slowness I did not see it compared to the less bright brother. It is perhaps a bit ' slow when you switch from subjects on the first floor compared to subjects "far", there maybe it is a slow thread to find the fire, but close up is fast enough, so you need to take your hand. Strong Piece of this lens is definitely the three-dimensional yield that gives, with the subjects that seem to literally "pierce" the photo and the background that slowly, progressively, seems to fade in the fog.... Wonderful indeed. I Think in so many years of photography, maybe only the Canon 135 L is approaching him... But as 85mm never saw anything like it. It matches with great naturalness to the performance of the FF sensors (I use it on 5D4 and 5D3 and it is excellent) giving to the images that stamp and that paste that reminds the film photos.... I read that this lens shares the optical pattern of the previous one, which in turn had been inherited from the Leica 85.... In fact, the airy, pastel colours, the artistic and dreamlike style of the blurred are sublime and not comparable with ANY of the modern lenses Hypersharp, Hypercorrect and Anonymous... About sharpness, however, is also high to 1.2, reaching from F2 in then impressive peaks. Having had the 1.8 I affirm with certainty that at the maximum openings is sharper this of the little brother, which is beautiful, fast, practical and sharp.... But the "big one" is something else... Try to believe. Reportage, weddings, portraiture are his fields of choice, and I add that serves so much, so much practice to know how best to manage. Compared to 135 I find it more comfortable the focal (85mm for me are the Perfection for portraits), very sharp both but more rosy the complexion of 85 (a bit ' more natural in my opinion).... For the rest are the 2 lenses that in a substantial "technical" kit can not miss. I reserve to try it in depth and to squeeze it to the fullest but my initial impressions are from "first of the class" undoubtedly some. Top! sent on April 20, 2019 |
![]() | Canon 5D Mark IV Pros: Canon 5 Series Body, Dynamic Range, 30 Megapixel, Resolution, image Quality, Touch Screen, AF Module, Burst, Ergonomics, Wi-Fi and GPS, Tropicalization Cons: Price, maybe more operating speed, sometimes on continuous shots with two cards there is a Lag (slowing image storage) Opinion: A great camera, as for the rest of the series 5 Canon. Sturdy, solid, well-balanced... A tank-reinforced in short, that from the point of view of the quality of materials and assemblages never disappoints. I also own a Mark3, already excellent as a machine and very similar to this upgrade but boasts a sensor with more dynamic range, more resolution, an AF even more sensitive and responsive and 1fps more, as well as features such as Wi-Fi and GPS and touch screen. Personally I do not use Wi-Fi, GPS but I find the touch quite useful to see immediately the MAF of the image. With Canon L lenses reaches top quality crazy, that if they play even with the most powerful sensors Sony (really a great job of Canon on the sensor), while on the ISO and the crunchiness of the image I personally continue to prefer Canon, Especially on skin complexion and delicate tones. It is also true that with the custom profiles and with the RAW you can do everything today. I tried little the new mirrorless and I must say that will certainly be the future, but unfortunately I do not find myself with the electronic viewfinder and with all the technological features of the case, maybe in the future I'll be adept, but today as I stay in the house Canon , which always guarantees me performance and top bodies, great assistance and unreachable quality lenses. Perhaps the only "flaw" of the Mark 4 price (high, but it is used in many stores) and one thing I noticed working in RAW with 2 cards the operating speed and lag for long bursts (nothing dramatic anyway). Excellent update of the MARK3 in the field of reportage, marriage, portraiture, still life and also photographic hunting. Today as today I consider it without a doubt the best DSLR machine at 360 ° in Canon Home and not only... sent on April 17, 2019 |
![]() | Canon EF 135mm f/2.0 L USM Pros: Sharpness, Blur, AF Speed, Color, Three-Dimensionality, plane break, Microcontrast and color, Construction Cons: Non-stabilized, Focal Length indoors (a bit long) Opinion: Amazing Lens, the 135mm L. If you think that this lens is born as a project in the far 1996, this says a lot about the constructive superiority/awkward optics of Canon compared to the competition, which will surely have Mirrorless with sensors equipped with great dynamic range and modern AF but from Side lenses and optics still has to make it to the road.... The construction is excellent, sturdy and well balanced, not too flashy as it could be the 70-200, so much so that it can go unnoticed if used without lens hood in different situations of reportage/street and travel. The AF is fast and it gets even quicker if you move the ring nut over 0.90-infinity, the sharpness is outstanding already at F2, closing becomes impressive. The colors are beautiful (classic Canon rendition) and the really good microcontrast. A lens that was created for the portrait set, the first/first few planes, the shooting with outdoor models, weddings and social reportage. It Gives the best of itself in ceremonies/weddings where the detachment of the subject from the background and the blurred very soft and progressive, give the image a unique stamp. In my opinion the only lens in the house Canon that has a higher blurred is the ambitious 85mm 1.2, with however minimal differences and with a very, very similar character. Today in 2019, a lens that can tell its even with Canon sensors above 22MPixel: I use it on 5DMARK3 and 5dmark4 and it seems born for these machines that manages to squeeze up to the last Megapixels. The Only drawback was the lack of stabilization (but it would have been a different perspective and would have lost its lightness). There is also to be considered that the focal is not short, so in the Churches in the halls and interiors, it would sometimes be more congenial a focal under 100mm. I personally noticed, compared to FF 6D I possess, greater incisiveness of files even at high sensitivity, with a file that is more crisp and detailed. rnNon I noticed, however, a better high ISO seal of 6D compared to 5, or rather the two reflex seem to me very close as the voice of chrominance and luminance. rnIl body and ergonomics are exceptional and falls into my hands very well, like a glove; tropicalization is even better than that of the MKII, which already had a very good livello.rnMolto useful finely tuned sound and especially the double-slot that allows you to use both CF cards, either SD, mentKing did not feel the lack of Wi-Fi and GPS, for me useless accessories on an SLR. rnComparto very advanced video although personally I only care about the photographic side which is what we use in 99% of cases. rnOggi is new and used at a reasonable price with a few clicks is a reflex that can really last for long. And 'slightly smaller and thinner SLR above but is being appealed and uses bene.rnIl menu is rich and quite customizable, with a nice display and a good list of funzioni.rnMolto interesting menu guide, especially on some features like correcting lenses and objectives, they can always come in handy: read the fine manual especially on AF and esposizione.rnLa quality dand it generates files that left me speechless (obviously positive). We stop at least 3 on the 7D and 1 stop and 1/2 above the 5Dmk2, which is certainly not a "dilettante" ... rnQuesto body holds the ISO in a stratospheric, with a beautiful grain (dry and pasty), an incarnate from series 1 (very natural). Above is absent banding and recoveries are really interessanti.rnAltro chapter is definitely for the dynamic range, very extensive. Compared to 5Dmk2 known a more "planed" and less crisp, but I think it had a speech to a different filter AA, perhaps less invasive. That said are two large machines, FF, with two rows still very beautiful even if different (being used for 2 years, MK2 can not see the differences) .rnHo noticed that the lenses 2.8 f4 and I (16-23 2.8 and 70 f4IS -200) can now also be used in environments less enlightened, thanks to efficient management of the above ISO 8000; across the fixed I own seem to have found new life: on APS-C ovviambody were "castrated" and now having two FF I can use them for their true value and interchange. rnL'AF is quick and accurate, but not to the levels of 7d, would be too;) It seems reliable and accurate: the normal burst (4.5 fps) .rnLo silent shutter is also interesting, especially in places such as the Churches , while Wi-Fi and GPS are gadgets that are currently not used, so for me superflui.rnLa which however I was blown away are the commands, really very different from those of the 5D2 and 7D, which seemed much more intuitive and certainly better prepared: it will be my duty to get used to the fullest, as well as the zoom button (Q + wheel) and the lack of Pad mlticontroller, as in selecting AF was comodissimo.rnPer now my impression is very positive: I was looking high ISO, image quality natural and good speed, and I must say I also found more than they imagined. At the center instead my copy af 2.8 is already very nitido.rnI genres that are practical reportage, street, still life and figure set, weddings and events: the maximum aperture of f4 had become not just a limit, especially in low light: with this in mind I will not have big problems, considering the fact that the edges will not have objects / subjects of note from evidenziare.rnQuello I noticed & egrave; vignetting high (which I like a lot so I consider it a PRO), and a distortion evident in 16mm.rnIn PP can overcome the drawbacks mentioned above by software with Photoshop or Lightroom.rnDevo admit - needing a bright lens - was the only logical choice: the second set cost much and what they say is not worth the money, as it is also full of difettucci edges compresi.rnNon I have not tested the resistance to flare, which was impressive in 17-40 .rnLa most pleasant thing optics is the blurry soft and gradual, which gives the picture a unique look: on this aspect of the 17-40 was back: the blur was hard and dry, in my opinion the most "obvious" and less artistic : surely the diaphragm 2.8 helps a lot in this circostanza.rnAltra pleasant surprise colors: warm and saturated (very similar to those of 17-40), and not as cold as someone had noted (typical yield "hot" Canon) is .rnUsato in reasonable numbers, and applies them all: both of which FF on APS-C is great: on 7d even eliundermines the "defects" thanks to CROP 1.6, and it becomes quite a handyman luminoso.rnAlla end a bell'upgrade my 17-40. Just took in his hands the impression has been that of a tank: solid, durable and tropical conditions: really superb. On APS-C is an excellent all-rounder thanks to the crop factor (sin is not IS), on ff behaves as a wide-angle pushed through a perspective that I particularly like. Is perfect for fashion shows, coupled with the 70-200 f / 4 L IS offers many, many emozioni.rnCon L series optics is really the Top: I come from a 600d, which I use as a second body, and really the difference feels! rnIl display is OK, even if it is not touch, the controls are simple and intuitive, the multicontroller Pad is convenient and useful, there are also good opportunities for customizing the settings, as well as the setting of obiettivi.rnIl viewfinder is accurate, the possibility shoot video 1920x1080p @ 30 FPS is really a lusso.rnHo tried the 5D3 and I must say that the sealing is better, but really is a must for every dettaglio.rnComplessivamente a Canonist, I recommend it to anyone who wants a FF 360 ° . rnrn sent on December 21, 2013 |
![]() | Canon 600D Pros: 18-megapixel sensor, image quality, rotatable display, ease of use, quality / price ratio, full-hd video, battery life Cons: Grip BG without small (for me), not 100% coverage viewfinder, only 9 AF points, burst in RAW Opinion: My first SLR, I can only speak well. A great car, with a very satisfactory image quality. The sensor 18 Mpx (the same 60D and 7D) is really "saturated" and the quality of image, consequently, is great: generates RAW files perfectly workable in PP. rnHo mounted battery grip because the handle was too small, now it is much more robust in his hands. The battery is long-lived, the swiveling display excellent for shooting in live view, and very useful for the video capabilities. Very simple and intuitive to use, excellent inter alia, the Canon interface, simple to understand. The seal at high ISO is not great, but superior to other competitors: I take the max up to 400 ISO, then I do not like the texture più.rnOttimo value for money, if we consider that the same image quality of the bigger 60D and 7D. RNLA viewfinder coverage is not 100%, and the autofocus is certainly not to the levels of a 7D, but the rest is not si is a machine with professional vocation for sport or bird life. rnCredo needs appropriate optics to enhance the fullness of the sensor, such as the EF-S series LE LO High qualità.rnDavvero happy with the car. sent on September 28, 2013 |
