Mi chiamo Corrado Giavara, sono nato a Milano il 28 settembre 1958.
Ho conseguito la maturità presso il Liceo Artistico di Brera.
In seguito ho frequentato per due anni un corso di pittura all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, partecipando a corsi di grafica e fotografia. Nel 1978 comincio a lavorare presso la casa editrice Electa S.p.A. come fotografo e successivamente come grafico. Dal 1987 ad oggi sono assunto presso la Editoriale Giorgio Mondadori/Cairo Editore, inizialmente impiegato nella redazione Libri e Cataloghi occupandomi della progettazione e impaginazione degli stessi, nonché della realizzazione delle copertine, successivamente Art Director per la rivista mensile Bell'Italia.
Appassionato di mare, mi immergo fin dall'età di 16 anni. Ho conseguito il brevetto di 3° grado CMAS (guida) e quello di istruttore fotosub.
Le mie foto sono state pubblicate in diverse riviste e libri. Alcuni esempi: Enciclopedia degli animali: Pesci (Editoriale Giorgio Mondadori), La Guida del Mare 2002 (Editoriale Giorgio Mondadori), Figli (Editoriale Giorgio Mondadori), Mar Rosso (Panorama Travel), Egitto (In Viaggio), Malesia (In Viaggio), Sardegna maggio 2011 (Cairo Editore), Bell'Italia maggio 2013, Sardegna maggio 2016.
