It is handy, sturdy, with minimum focusing distance for me sufficient. I use it for the stray with D500 and sometimes with 1.4 or 1.7, but I don't like multipliers. In the shed only for very short distances with D850 (excellent results) as less intrusive than 2.8. The hood is very comfortable and sufficient. I consider it almost unbeatable in the quality / price ratio on today's used. Of course it doesn't have VR, the project is dated... but I don't care.
