Canon EF 17-40mm f/4.0 L USM Pros: Lightweight, diameter filters, build quality from L series Cons: Quality you have edges not excel Opinion: I do not like the wide-angles too much, spread them use them without falling into the trivial or obvious shot, especially for a half key like me. Usually with the 24mm of 24-105 I do everything. But in some situations having something more driven is definitely better and so I'm diving into the purchase of this 17-40. Never was the pulse decency more a good. Acceptable quality, good in the center decade you have edges providing a somewhat kneaded and in-detail image. Improves by closing the diafhramma but still the difference remains. Distortion is noted as the important vignette but these are things that are settled in a click.erto Now on the market there is better but at a higher cost, it depends on the needs and use that you want to make. For me seen the possibility to use the slab filters, for me essential, the robustness and reduced weight as well as the footprint thanks to the internal zoom and not least the price at which I found it, I could not have asked for better. He was a great companion on my last trip and will certainly be in the future sent on August 29, 2019 |
Sirui K30x Pros: Weight, small size, material quality, price Cons: For now, no one Opinion: Taken on purpose for my trip to Scotland in anticipation of the intense use of ND filters, I was totally satisfied with it. In combination with the 55prob of the monfrotto yesi is demonstrated a rock. He held the no-blink 5d4 with 100-400 fliour optics in all the positions I requested, even the most inclined and absurd with poses well above the minute. Fluid movement, no play and hesitation in every possible condition: I took a lot of water but also in these conditions, no problem. For sure there is better around m at higher deccisamnet costs. This sadness for what it costs is a bargain. sent on August 28, 2019 |
Canon 5D Mark IV Pros: File quality, dynamic range, iso seal, Autofocus, live view Cons: Burst speed - 10fps would have been perfect - battery lasts a little and lack of orientable screen Opinion: I've been using it for a long time now and I really find it a perfect machine for my needs. An excellent all-rounder with excellent image quality, a high iso estate, I can push myself without too much patemi up to 12800iso maintaining a good detail obviously not in conditions of pitch dark and a dynamic range finally noteworthy... it won't be the top but for me what it offers is all runny fat. The first time I opened a raw file of his I immediately noticed how much elasticity and maneuverability allowed in post compared to my old and glorious 5d2... didn't seem true to me. I've also noticed a certain softness of the files compared to those of the grandfather, but it is easy to remedy by increasing the sharpness. I mean, it's a whole other way of working... You just have to be careful not to overdo it in recoveries and other similar amentià to not fall into the trap of fake photos and with unnatural effects - something that with 5d2 was practically impossible to do. The Af department is excellent, much more stable and less nervous than that of the 7d2 in my possession. A real sniper... if I'm wrong it's not the fault of the SLR but only mine. The live view with the touch screen is exceptional. Focus in the dark, even with nd1000 filters, which is implausible with 5d2, shot with touch that is a real treat, good responsiveness in both one shot and ai-servo. Had it had the tiltable or snout-mannaggia Canon screen - it would have been perfect, especially for macro photos. Good battery but not great... the 5d2 consumed much less. Video side I do not express myself as I never use for this purpose. Anyway I'm excited about it and I would do a thousand times the choice I made a year ago, with my eyes closed. sent on March 11, 2019 |
Canon 5D Mark II Pros: Solid body, ergonomics, image quality Cons: Slow working, slow, the weight of the years begins to be felt ... Opinion: These days I greeted my iseparable company of travels and adventures since "far" 2012 ... although, in the last period, was often left at home preferring the latest 7d2, every time I used it I returned files worthy of note and with fabulous colors. Of course, the weight of the years is felt and certainly does not take the pace of recent releases regarding holding ISO and other amenities. And it's not even the limited dynamic range that has weighed on the choice to change, to tell the truth I've never considered it a limit ... but you know until you try nothing more performing is good what you have, but rather the operational slowness linked to AF. I often had to give up the FF for obvious limits in the pursuit in ai-servo and in the burst when I went to photograph birdlife or animals in general. Actually it is not his fault, it was not born for this purpose. It is I who moved my interest more towards the nautical picture compared to the classic landscape and for this Ihe was close to me. I changed it looking for a full frame SLR that could guarantee a superior performance even in this field without having to necessarily run with two camera bodies thus increasing weight and size. For the rest nothing to say. Great beautiful car, solid and indestructible. If you are looking for a used Full Frame at an inviting price, absolutely take it into consideration. sent on March 23, 2018 |
Manfrotto BeFree Pros: Weight, stability, size and overall quality Cons: None But the absence of the bubble Opinion: It'S been a while since I wanted to take it to replace my Manfrotto 190 in my travels. As Soon as I found it on offer at Amazon Prime Day I did not miss it!!! What to say: Very small, enters any backpack without problems, light, built well and stable the right. Of Course I do not know how to behave in case of strong wind but in normal conditions with 5D2 and 24-105 is a rock!!! Now I have the chance to put a tripod with a capital "T" anywhere! For now fully satisfied!!! sent on August 29, 2017 |
Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM S Pros: Sturdy construction, tropicalized, honest Af, sharpness, Cons: Weight, stabiliser, AF not very fast Opinion: It's been two years now that I'm taking me to the sigmone with its enormous weight. I have used it on several occasions and now I can get a more accurate and honest view of this lens. At first I had the enthusiasm for my new purchase. Now the situation always sees me happy but with some ma... The weight in the first, which I already knew. In the long break... Also because at 600mm is unbalanced. Following free-hand subjects such as squirrels or birds is tough, not impossible but tough. After a couple of hours the arms are affected. If they are freehand and do not use times sufficently fast... The Blur arrives, especially on 7d2 that does not forgive from this point of view. On the 5div I find it more manageable and usable but it is due all to the merits of the FF SLR, which boasts an enormously larger viewfinder, not the lens. The stabilizer is not the top in my view, and does not help a lot when looking for the shot with time limit. AF side I have to say that is accurate and fast enough, even if I find it a little slow in the engagement and search of the subject. It is much faster than my 100-400l first series, but the Busca and ugly from the 100-400ii. The image quality is good, even at 600mm. A soft wire at F6, 3 but still more than good. Would I buy it back? Taking into account that in fact the 600mm are a plus not just.. And at 99% Yes, I would make the choice I made. Hello!!! sent on May 01, 2017 |
Lowepro Flipside 400 AW Pros: Light, robust, very handy Cons: Capacity not exceptional, just big front pocket Opinion: I got this backpack for sostiuire my old mini trekker 300aw that after 10years of service began to accuse the coup. I looked for a quality backpack, robust and comfortable and above all that it was compatible with the carry-on baggage limits, something fundamental for me. After several readings the ascelta I fell on the flipside 400. I must say I was slightly disappointed by the capacity. My old 300aw although smaller had a larger room and more usable. There is everything that was there in 300 but less razionale.Mi explain: in my old backpack put 7d + 100-400 mounted, 5D + 24-105 mounted, sigma 35, Samyang 14, canon 501.4 and wanting us she was also another. In this one of the two cameras can not store it with the lens attached !!! The Sigma 150-600s, due to the opening of the narrow compartment, do an absurd effort to store it with parlauce mounted upside, while in 300aw we fit comfortably !!! The front pocket, used to store phone batteries etc stc is for me too little large. For the rest of this & quot; small "Disappointment is a great buy. Much more rugged, ergonomic and comfortable to put the shoulder thanks algli more padded shoulder straps and hooking in a much more efficient life, we do a lot of ground without discomfort or feel too much weight . the tripod attachment system is the same as the old backpack with lower support, top mount and center therefore very stable and secure. I forgot the bag has a handy waterproof pockets at the bottom. Overall rating 8 sent on March 02, 2017 |
Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM Pros: monstrous quality, Af lightning, good stabilizer, weight and dimensions ocontenuti Cons: I sold it ... shame on me ... Opinion: exceptional goal. Just came out I sold immediately freatellino unregulated for that. The quality is impressive, never replicated in any other lens in my possession. I used it a lot, even in Safari with the multiplier 1.4x and I have never betrayed neither nor disappointed. Defects I've never found. Then one day, perhaps to a sunburn or a strong blow to the head I sold it. I'm still eating your hands !!! Never mistake fù biggest and unforgivable !!! sent on February 16, 2017 |
Benro GH1 Pros: Lightweight, compact size, quality and price Cons: At the price I bought nothing Opinion: I took this rocker head to support the Sigma 150-600s and Canon 7d2. I've tested in a long afternoon of shots. At first you need a little 'getting used side attack: the idea that everything could come off and finish on the ground there, but it's gone now seeing how engagement is stable and rocky. With satisfaction I must say that his work carries it so nothing short of excellent. Movements of fluids and reactive head, never a hesitation or jamming. Does what I want and does it well, with the plus that in zaiono does not occupy too much blank space and weighs only 700g !!! At the price that I found I could not ask for more !!! However, given that the use with atrezzatura that weighs at most 4.5 kg (maximum declared capacity is 12kg ...). With more weight I do not know how it would! Certainly for me it is perfect !!! Straconsigliata !!! sent on February 15, 2017 |
Canon 7D Mark II Pros: Af incredible, burst, double slot, key customizations, tropicalization Cons: Battery life, slow to get out of the stand by, beautiful but fixed screen, display to the right of the viewfinder Opinion: I've been using it for a few months now instead of the old 7D. What about except that he's on another planet! The af is more precise and much more customizable and I can actually have more decent shots than the 7d, the menu full of functions is well understandable as long as you read the manual well. The file is much cleaner than that of the 7d and very exploitable even at 3200 iso if there is enough light. The body is rock solid and ergonomics excellent. The battery is a bit poor, I can get to 700 shots using very little screen... far from the performance of my 5d2 and my old 7d. I also notice a certain laziness waking up from the stand by, especially compared to my old 7d which seemed more responsive to me at this juncture. It puzzles me on such a machine the lack of the orientable screen, used on 70d, 80d and other Nikon reflexes. I am disoriented by the arrangement of the info inside the viewfinder, especially the display meter when I shoot in manual. But it's definitely just a matter of habit!!! sent on September 29, 2016 |
Sony A6000 Pros: Size, AF system, quality photographs, countless functions Cons: battery life, electronic viewfinder Opinion: I wanted a small car and high performance affiancrae to my Canon 5d and seen the high costs of the A7 my choice fell on this beautiful Sony camera. Found at a great price I presasenza the fly. Beautiful and light, produces jpg beautiful and ready to use, Raw lavorabi and holds up acceptably chart at ISO 3200. However I still prefer my SLR as ergonomics and ease of uso..e then will be the future, but the electronic viewfinder can not digest it ... beautiful, full of information etc etc but the delay and the feeling of "mal sea ??"that generates soparttutto when the scene becomes dark not soporto.Ripeto: if I have to choose which machine to shoot for now reflex life. Let's say you did not fire the love for this ML. Definitely try with higher performance than the zoom lenses as good 16-50 lightly but to limit dell'utilizzabile as photographic performance, but for now it remains relegated to its more easy as point: with family outings, little weight, so surrender.I forgot: a second battery to be taken absolutely seen the short duration of the same especially if you are used to high-level autonomy Refelx and biblical. Anyway I recommend it to all who want a lightweight body all or most of the potential of a reflex.rnrn sent on June 23, 2016 |
Canon 7D Pros: Camera body, operating speed, AF system, battery life Cons: Sensor, sensor, sensor, meter Opinion: I had the 7d for three years, among the many joys and sorrows, mainly used for spotting and photo hunting combined with Canon 100-400. Immediately, coming from 40d, I hit the Af system, difficult to tame but that can give satisfaction, the operating speed and burst "type machine gun" ... but at the same time, also having the 5d2 for comparison, did I puzzled yields photos that churns this APSC Canon. Far be it from me to want to compare to a FF but here we are waaay but very distant. Noisy even at low ISO, if only we dare to make a minimum recovery I am pain. It happened sometimes having to lighten the belly of the aircraft and were always aches and somersaults in Ps to avoid seeing just noise and little detail. I not really know if it was my copy perticolarmente not lucky, but on equal terms than 40d and 5d tended to underexpose slightly (I should therefore always sovraesppore or offset) and during the flurry was often tantrums (cali vistosidi speed and precision AF) . In the end I could not wait to get rid of ... I will andro now fixed and most of the time I left home preferrendogli the 5D (which is not lightning operationally speaking ...) but essermene freed took me a burden. Too bad because he had another sensor ... it would still be by my side. sent on June 22, 2016 |
Samyang 8mm f/3.5 Fisheye Pros: build quality, light output and above unbeatable Cons: Hardly anyone especially if related to the price ... if you want to be picky ... but lacks the autofocus optics gods of this focal length he hears little lack and it is a bit "soft" full aperture Opinion: This objective, which I bought after reading praises on various forums, has satisfied my craving for a fish-eye wide angle for "creative" photo and a bit 'crazy that I had some time ... unfortunately until now the Fish- eye cost a bang ... with this Korean company is fortunately no longer the case. The aim, born to the APS-C, presents well with a solid, all-metal apart from the integrated petal hood construction is plastic. The sliding of the rings is fluid, especially that of the focus that is completely manual. I use it only with manual exposure, working in hyperfocal ... with F8 aperture and fire set from 2 to 3 meters I focus almost everything ... The coverage is superb, especially considering the cost of the lens ... it should be realistically used sparingly because you risk falling into banality and become boring, but for some artistic shots and first special plans is phenomenal. sent on March 16, 2012 |
