Reviews of cameras, lenses, tripods, heads and other accessories written by Alexc1903

Microsoft Translator  The following opinions have been automatically translated with Microsoft Translator.

sony_rx100_ivSony RX100 IV

Pros: Ergonomics, possibility of customization, viewfinder

Cons: Non-lightning-fast focus, high iso (of course)

Opinion: Sent to me by RCe for a review in the end I decided to buy it and keep it. Really incredible how much technology is enclosed in this "bar of soap". It is really small, a concentrate of 298 grams that you can customize as you see fit. Given its size you risk pressing the wrong button but it is a machine that you buy also knowing the compromises you have to make. The images that this little girl churns out are very respectable. You have at your disposal a zeiss sonnar T equivalent to a 24/70, 1.8/2.8. You therefore have a respectable lens and above all so bright as to allow you not to climb too much with the iso that obviously, given the one-inch sensor, over 800 begin to produce noise which, however, in my opinion, up to 1600 is absolutely manageable. In my gallery you can find some shots baked with the rx100iv. The raw file is workable and allows a discreet recovery of shadows and highlights. Tilting screen, no touch, and a small retractable electronic viewfinder. Small viewfinder yes, but with great performance, very useful in many cases of hard light that does not allow you to see the screen well. I feel good, it is a machine that you always carry with you, it goes into the pocket of jeans and you have at hand a tool that most of the time is very expendable in many situations. The biggest flaw in my opinion is the speed of the MAF but I solved for the most part either by setting single point with flexible spot or, in other cases, in two dedicated and personalized menus, the hyper focal from 2 and 5 meters up to infinity. I repeat: there are compromises that you must and can make, but in the end you will have fun all the same. For those who want a full review, you can find it on my youTube channel of ale_chiolo_photography. For any info, if you need, do not hesitate to write to me in private.

Pros: Ergonomics, handling, controls in the right place, iso seal and 23 f/2

Cons: Screen not tilting - AF sometimes hesitant - no double slot - no tropicalized

Opinion: I think anyone who buys this car needs to know what they want. It is not a machine for newbies in the sense that the focal 23 (equivalent 35 on ff) fixed to f/2 is a great resource only for those who have decided what and how to photograph, otherwise it turns out to be a condemnation . I have it for a few days, I strongly wanted it and sought it and at the first available opportunity I did not miss it. I mainly do street and find it ideal; commands in the right place, practically reachable with the right hand only. Of course it is not a pocket camera, let's say it is a compact "generous" as size, instead of carrying a backpack now I use a small purse, but holding it in your hand you have the perception of having something solid and not a toy. Estate iso excellent I would say, the same sensor of xt2 does not disappoint, I snapped at 6400 iso and I did not find anything that in pp could not be corrected at the level of noise and then for those who love the b/n like me, already the jpeg is practically ready. Having an xt20 I was already in love with the Acros red and immediately went to sectarian here too. In my gallery you find a shot of a friend on her wedding day. It's a stolen shot in the sense that I didn't want to hinder the work of the official photographers and so I moved very discreetly, she is not posing, but being used to seizing the moments with the street, I did not miss the opportunity to seize a particular expression of her. I mean that the machine is always responsive, ready, I also found the autofocus responsive, at the level of the xt20 that I have indeed, maybe it seemed a little more precise. The macro function, on the other hand, is trying, or rather this is the impression that I have, but I repeat, I have only for a few days and I have not yet squeezed it properly. The only flaw in my opinion is the screen not tilting as instead I have in the xt20, too bad, because I consider this possibility a must, but patience, that's fine. However machine promoted with flying colors, now in the second-hand market I think there are more affordable prices than the new. Any doubts or otherwise do not hesitate to ask. I hope in the next few days to insert more shots in the gallery Update after a more constant use: remaining everything I have previously said and adding that Often I shot in really poor light conditions, I have to add two things. The first one mentioned is the high iso yield which, in my opinion, is excellent at least up to 6400Iso. Practically just a little in pp to work the digital noise produced. The second is the AF, which in suboptimal light conditions sometimes tries not to immediately hook the subject. Let's say that out of 10 shots a couple I then found them at the pc a little blurry. It's about being more careful even maf on single point. However, it is still a real pleasure to use this jewel I add that if it had double slots and was tropicalized, it would be perfect

fujifilm_xt3Fujifilm X-T3

Pros: Ergonomics, lightness, versatility, customization possibilities, performance

Cons: Almost nothing

Opinion: Tried and reviewed on my YouTube channel whose links I attach. It is the top of Fuji's range and is a great machine. Fast, light, backlit xtrans sensor, quadcore processor, 425 focus points. I tried it with 23 f/2, a Vincente combination, especially for street-like people like me. And then, icing on the cake, it's also tropicalized and has a wonderful treat that's the pre-shot. I hope soon I can put in the gallery some of the shots I've taken. In the meantime I hope that the tutorial is to your liking. https://youtu.be/wC6_luKSQ5c

fujifilm_xc50-230oisFujifilm XC 50-230mm f/4.5-6.7 OIS

Pros: Lightweight, value for money

Cons: Plasticous and delicate, dark, lack aperture ring

Opinion: I tried this lens and I reviewed it for RCE as a travel lens to combine with a 18/55 and a xt20. A light and qualitatively satisfactory kit in my opinion. A kit and a lens then thought for those who maybe part with the family and want to be covered a little ' on all focal. The focal excursion is "important", a 230 on app-C is equivalent to 345mm; Of course the lens is a bit ' dark but has behaved well in dark environments also because raising the ISO of xt20 (which holds them well), practically, the problem most often is solved. In my opinion, for the price to which it is, it is worth buying it if one is not a professional and does not seek the advertising magnification. Below I will post the link of my review on YouTube; While some photos made with the 50-230, you will find it in a special gallery on my profile https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fyb--vb4oug&t=480s

fujifilm_xf16_f2-8Fujifilm XF 16mm f/2.8 R WR

Pros: Pocket, solid, fast

Cons: At the moment no one

Opinion: I State that I bought this lens from a day and then I could try only for some shots in the air, however, I insert in my gallery. On My YouTube channel, you also find the unboxing with the first impressions hot. As For the use; Firstly I have to say that for the kind I do mostly and therefore street, it's a too much fun lens. The focal length of 16, a 24 equivalent on FF, is in my opinion a perfect length because it allows to give air to the scene. The Street is not done with a 200 but with goals like this, you approach the subject, choose the PDR and click. Show Since you can really take a big breath and cmq going to look at the photos I realized a lady sharpness, then even cropping, do not lose anything. As For the speed of AF I already knew what I would find and actually the speed is not bad and then you want to put even the aesthetics? The flower hood is too "cute" and is that it is cool, if you want to see it go watch the video on my channel. Mounted on xt20 The machine is really very light and cmq practically small small. Coming from a 18/55, practically the 16 is little more than half. The shots I made I have differently diaphragmati and it seems to me (but I promise to squeeze much more) that also TA, there is a detail and a sharpness. Initial Evaluation, absolutely positive. Upcoming updates in the future:-) You Can see the first shots I made in a gallery I specifically created for the 16th, also below the link of the Unboxing video of the same 16. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QCe8XGC0qk&t=193s

fujifilm_27_f2-8Fujifilm XF 27mm f/2.8

Pros: compactness, Absent distortion

Cons: Imprecise and Slow MAF

Opinion: I bought this lens (used) basically for the street, genre I prefer. The compactness made me throat, and actually mounted on a xt20 "transforms" the machine into something really small. Unfortunately, beyond the compactness I find no other positive elements; The MAF is slow, inaccurate, even using various focusing configurations, unfortunately many of those shots that you make for the street are practically trashing. Then I sincerely do not like the files that produces the 27... Even opening all the shadows in PP you see no result, the colors seem to me mixed... In short, let's say I'm in the process of selling it to take a 23 of which I heard about a great good. A proposed, there is another positive side namely distortion virtually nothing.

zenit44_58_f2Zenit Helios 44 58mm f/2.0

Pros: Price, Aperture f/2

Cons: None for the price

Opinion: I bought this lens at the modest sum of about €20. What can I say, for the price that I can't say absolutely nothing negative. I've used it for portraits, usually where I cimento rarely but I must say that left me fully satisfied. Mounted on my xt20 thanks to an adapter purchased at Amazon, is used with maf Manual of course. Excellent effect bockeh already at f/2, maybe a bit soft, but I repeat that for the price he forgives everything. In my Gallery this photo to f/2. Highly recommended for those on a budget and have a vintage lens. https://www.juzaphoto.com/galleria.php?t=2766691&l=it

fujifilm_x30Fujifilm X30

Pros: Aesthetics, structure, controls in the right place, jpeg ready for use

Cons: Small sensor

Opinion: I waited a while before writing this review on Fuji's little house, I tested it in different situations and these are my conclusions: I do not know how much it may affect but the first thing I want to say is that it's just beautiful beautiful. I have the silver version, it has an eye-catching vintage style, not tired of seeing it and above all of using it. Ergonomically I think is perfect; I thought a lot before buying it and in the end I also opted for its size not to compact but to compact. I'm afraid, even because I had tried and held them in the hand, the small-size compact ... I do not know why but when I hold a camera in my hand I want to have the feeling that it is not a toy and that is the feeling that it returns the x30. It's not very small, it keeps in hand and makes you want to snap, certainly not in the pocket of jeans, but in a pocket you do. The feeling it returns is to have in hand a solid machine, which does not slip. Let's go to some aspeMore technical: the controls are in the right place, and there you can use them in manual as you do with a reflex. The controls are quite intuitive, maybe a little less menus, but the machine can be customized in the best way. I use it in manual and therefore do not get rid of the menus, I just have the clock wheel in inch, that of the diaphragms on the lens and the ISO I access by using a custom button. The goal is a generous 28-112 (genuinely I would prefer at least a 24 on the wide-angle side) equivalent, f2.0-2.8, so a bright enough lens that lets you shoot while keeping the ISO low. This is the salient note, but we are all given the small sensor of the x30, as beyond the 800 ISO, the noise begins to become intrusive ... I try not to go beyond 400 by helping me too (as well as with the ' generous opening) with a pretty good stabilization sys- tem. Another aspect I think to look at is the viewfinder: an electronic oled che returns a 100% image with all the info of the case. I look at it comfortably, very clearly and with a dioptric correction that by the very least the preview of the shot you are going to perform. Even the screen is not bad, it is tilting but it does not rotate completely, Max goes to the perpendicular to the car body ... you can then hold the stomach up to the machine to steal a few clicks in the street environment. Let's go to the files that come up: in my opinion often the jpeg is already ready for use, you can have fun with Fuji film simulations; I have to say that with this car I do more than street and I like to use the monocrome effect, that is, the b & w in the car which in my opinion is great (I can not imagine with higher category Fuji machines). In conclusion, I think I can say that buying this Fuji has completely satisfied me, certainly one must be aware of what he buys, I also hit with a d610 nikon ff and the purchase of this little girl was born from &%2339, the need to always have a car with me, in the bag or in the backpack to carry on a daily basis to be able to go even in the lunch breaks of the work. Indeed with Fuji I succeeded in this, any chance is good to go some street, some reportage ... if I have to make more "special" shots I will reserve the d610, but I must confess that some shots made with the little one they were also selected by Vogue Italia, so I would say: Not bad. rnIf someone wants some advice or further clarification contact me as well, meanwhile to get an idea can look in my photo gallery the fujix30 folder. Good light at all

nikon_d610Nikon D610

Pros: Lightweight, durable, produces raw lavorabilissimi

Cons: White balance is not always excellent

Opinion: I waited a while to write this review; I came from a 3300 and then switch to a 610 has been how to switch to a Ferrari coming from subcompact; conclusion? if you do not know how to drive you go to crash. At first I had to get to know in order to understand some things, such as the fact that tends to overexpose a little bit open. When I do landscapes in broad daylight sottoespongo almost always, and the result is excellent: it has beautiful colors and a dynamic range of all respect; produces excellent raw that when opened in pp give the very idea of ??so much stuff. The machine is robust, pleasant to hold, you feel it is a superior lady car, the controls in the right place, always use the manual, you easily tamed and the results are obvious, once you learn how to use it not do more for less. Some numbers the AF points in the center as a flaw ... well, in this case, coming from a 3300 I have also noticed the leap; & egra6egrave; to be recommended even if the price is perhaps excessive, I have taken second hand still NITAL warranty. Perhaps, as an amateur that I am, a new D610 I would never have taken.

Pros: Compactness, versatility and stabilization

Cons: vignetting

Opinion: 6ograve; It is used safely. rnAlla end of the day I can say that it is useful for people like me, an amateur, seeking more comfort perhaps thinking to family outings. fast and silent MAF, solid structure which gives the idea of ??robustness between the mani.rnSe seeking the most particular photo put on the 50 ... but to tell the truth, in the end, there is almost always mounted on D610 24 -120.

manfrotto_pixiManfrotto Pixi

Pros: Ergonomics and practicality

Cons: At the moment no

Opinion: I have a few days and I could not do many tests; from what I have seen, however, I believe proves robust and well balanced ... I tried it with a Nikon D610 with a 24-120, and with a nice weight to carry on. Result? Well balanced, even with the machine inclined downwards held very well; the only precaution that I took was to balance the machine on one of three feet, putting them in line, but I think the minimum. I always carried in his backpack, he has great ergonomics and can return always useful. Recommended

Pros: Robustness and zoom range

Cons: At the time, the hardness of the ring on ZOMM

Opinion: I state that I just got the goal and only took some photos in interior lighting conditions pessima.rnPrimissime impressions on the lens: Tamron 16-300 rnil it is strong to the touch and in hand "feels." get rough the zoom ring, but not sorry, indeed, seems synonymous with ruggedness ulteriore.rnHo took some pictures at home, with poor lighting conditions, but reacted well ... now I look to try it at all focal field but it seems that expectations should be fully rispettate.rnSono sure that someone will turn up your nose, but you have to buy in the knowledge of a super tele which certainly has its limits.
