canon_rf70-200_f2-8zCanon RF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM Z

Pros: Weight, AF speed, stabilizer, definition, silent dual nano usm motors, multipliable with Extender

Cons: Price

Opinion: My review is given by the comparison with its predecessor EF III, which I own, and with the 70 200 RF first version. First of all, it should be noted that the length of the lens is the same as the EF version, longer than the RF first closed version by 5 cm, but if it opens at 200 the first version becomes almost 2 cm longer so I wouldn't take the length factor too seriously. The sharpness is better than both previous versions, as well as the colors although not too much. The focusing distance has definitely improved, this goes from 49cm to 68cm from 70 to 200 mm while the first RF version stops at 70cm from 70 to 200mm, while the EF version is 1.2 meters from 70 to 200mm. The filters are larger, so they will cost more, if you use them at all! However, the difference is 82mm of the Z to 77mm of the other 2. The reproduction ratio is slightly wider, 0.30 for the Z, 0.23 for the RF and 0.21 for the EF. The dual Nano USM motors make it quieter than previous versions. Chapter multipliers, if on the EF version they could be mounted, and mounted the result was good, on the first RF version they cannot be mounted and this was the reason why I did not buy that lens. Mounted the Extenders on the Z the result is very good, with the 1x4 it goes well, it does not lose either in speed or in lock or sharpness, with the 2X it has some problems focusing on nearby subjects, as the EF version had even if, in my opinion, a little less. For the rest it does its job very well. The customizable dial and selection buttons, present on the previous RF version and not on the EF version, are beautiful. The weight is great, 40g more than the RF version and about 330g less than the EF version, and over the long run of use you can feel them all. Video issue, there is none for anyone, it embarrassingly outclasses both other versions, the aperture ring makes focus breathing practically null and for those who make videos like me it is really a masterstroke. Summing up, the fact that it costs more is justified, of course... too much more... There would be room for improvement but I don't build goals so I'll stop here. Conclusion, if I have to be honest I am extremely satisfied to have bought this lens because it is certainly better than the other 2 for several reasons, the AF attachment from smooth is fantastic reminds me of the 100-500. The stabilization is excellent, but the other versions are not bad either, perhaps this one has that something extra since tasted on panning it made much better than the others. I hope I haven't forgotten anything and have given a review that can help others!!

canon_rf600_f4Canon RF 600mm f/4 L IS USM

Pros: Light, Sharp, Fast, excellent colors, double motor for AF, top stabilizer.

Cons: At the beginning you immediately say that it is expensive, then you use it, uses of its peers that cost a tenth and you understand that it is worth what you pay it, I state that from the list you go down a lot if you buy it in the store (15/18%), then it is clear it is not a lens that you buy at unieuro ........ but it's worth them all.

Opinion: After abandoning the Canon Reflex system, I throw myself headlong into the new technology. The choice, despite the skepticism, is rewarded and right. I go crazy and buy this lens, beautiful from the packaging when you unboxing to when you use it in the field. What can I say, smooth is a very fast AF blade with double focusing motor, sharpness really at the top, if you learn to use it becomes impressive in armoring a subject and follow it without missing a shot. The focus preset once set adjusts the focusing distance and stores it so when you return to that point just move the appropriate ring to have everything in focus in a nanosecond, good and perhaps a little far from the AE lock button to keep the focus steady when you are in AI SERVO, the manual focus used together with the AF adjusts the focus on the subject to the thousandth. Mounted on the R3 is a real bomb, I tried to print in 55x70 format a photo of a woodpecker made in the rain and under the plants, without using noise reduction or image alteration programs, I got an excellent image above my expectations. Conclusion....... just beautiful!!!!

canon_rf100macro_isCanon RF 100mm f/2.8 L Macro IS USM

Pros: Excellent stabilizer, excellent sharpness from F4 upwards, nice mechanism of blur management, 1X4 magnification, good tropicalization

Cons: under F 4 loses sharpness, weight.

Opinion: I come from the old 100 macro USM, a war lens that gave me so much satisfaction and also a prize, the new 100 macro RF is very sharp and has excellent management of spherical aberration, the stabilizer is silent and very good. A small flaw on the weight but nothing so worrying, I was surprised instead by the loss of sharpness to F2.8 or F3.2 ....... it is not so striking is clear but comparing the photos certainly makes better to F4. Definitely a great lens that does not regret the change with the old 100 macro.

canon_rf14-35_f4Canon RF 14-35mm f/4 L IS USM

Pros: Sharpness, weight, good flare resistance, good stabilizer.... nice wide angle

Cons: Nothing to report if not the price but on the other hand the improvements are paid .......

Opinion: Passing now almost definitively to RF technology, I hold on with my 1DX and I will never give up, I sold my now old but always excellent EF 17/40 L F4 USM to switch to 14/35 RF F4 ....... what to say there is no comparison, at F8-11 is splendid on the whole format, very sharp that does not regret the 15/35 2.8. Excellent weight that attached to the R3 seems to carry around a 2000D with 18/55 attached .... spectacular. The price is a bit high but the technology is paid and canon is certainly not the cheapest on the market, but dealing well with the store you can get a respectable discount that brings it back to earth!!!!!!!

canon_70-200_f2-8is_iiiCanon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS III USM

Pros: Sharpness, AF speed, price with the release of the new RF

Cons: Nothing to report

Opinion: I come from the first version of the 70 200 f 2.8, you can clearly see the difference in sharpness and speed of the AF, having never tried the mark II I can not give a judgment of comparison with the predecessor. the lens proves to be very resistant and ductile, you feel a bit the difference in weight with the new RF but the quality is not discussed, I tried it both on R3 and on 1DX and I did not notice any difference, it has always given its best on all occasions. Excellent UPGRADE from the first version.

canon_rf100-500Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM

Pros: Autofocus, weight, sharpness, stabilization

Cons: Brightness, limit of use with multipliers, zoom a little hard

Opinion: I was very hesitant about buying this lens, the brightness was the thing that bored me the most, but after the field test I realized that everything in the context can also be there. Let's start with the pros of this lens, the atufocus is lightning fast and the hook on the subject is of the highest level, the weight less after hours is felt mounted on R3 (compared with its peer on 1DX SLR), the stabilization is very good and silent, the sharpness of this lens is shocking the details are truly spectacular. The cons, the brightness is the most painful note because at F7.1 at 500 mm or at F6.3 at 400 mm if there is no light it is difficult not to shoot with the ISO, good is that as soon as light arrives everything returns to normal. The zoom I found a bit hard but that's okay, if you forget to block the lens does not stretch by itself. The use with multipliers is not the top, beyond that further loses brightness and here there is little to do but under 300 mm you can not mount it so the lens remains open, I personally prefer to use the electronic crop of the R3 that multiplies to 1x6 and does not lose brightness. That said, the lens is of excellent workmanship with good tropicalization and despite the price (I recommend pushing on the discount in the store that can be remarkable) I would say that it deserves a nice 9. canon_eos_r3Canon EOS R3

Pros: Fast autofocus, fast and precise eye detection (sometimes it mistakes holes for animal eyes but it fits), high ISO resistance, excellent backlit Staked sensor, fast and precise eye control, tropicalization at the top, weight, ergonomics, battery life, frame rate at 30fps very fast with the possibility of customization at 195fps for a single shot, dynamic LCD screen ....... It's great for me!!!!!!

Cons: if I have to be picky, a few more pixels did not hurt .... But isn't it that serious!!!!!

Opinion: There are not many words to write about such a camera, excellent if not excellent in any area of use ...... A bet won by Canon with backlit staked sensor that on my behalf is scary!!!!! I admit that it is not infallible but it certainly helps you to bring home the result without any problem, fast and convenient even the use of the bluetooth and network system. Highly recommended!!!!!!

canon_1dxCanon 1DX

Pros: Tropicalization, robustness, burst speed, beautiful JPG, high ISO resistance, fast AF. I would say a well-armored Tanke

Cons: LV dated but you can not expect after 10 years, battery life can be improved.

Opinion: Exceptional camera body, on the other hand it is still a Canon flagship. It is practically a tank to be used to do everything but especially for sports or nature photos. It is to be learned to use because if you make mistakes it does not forgive but once you learn you have a war machine in your hand that makes you bring home excellent results. I also kept my 7D Mark II as a second body or fold to mount a 70 200 2.8 and have the possibility to have different shots in different situations, but the 7D II has absolutely no comparison with the 1 DX except for some more function but it is also younger. Since I bought it (December 22) I had practically only one opportunity to use it with favorable light and the result is amazing, then I found unfavorable circumstances such as rain, fog poor lighting of fields or gyms where the iso you have to raise them above 8000 and she has held the blow, clear that you see the grain of noise but it is not as heavy as the 7D II indeed compared to the most recent R6 or to a Sony a7IV is practically equal indeed better than certainly the a7IV. Excellent machine that I will hardly replace.

canon_7d_mark2Canon 7D Mark II

Pros: Speed, AF, Burst (on the jpg it is very close to the 1DX), AF tracking setting settings equal to the pro, good weight and ergonomics, excellent quality price.

Cons: It suffers damn high iso, above 1600 becomes a problem that is slightly limited with fixed L objectives like a 300 2.8 but still very noisy.

Opinion: I bought the 7D Mark II in exchange for the 7D in 2019 and it was a remarkable step, the ergonomic structure allows a good grip and the tropicalization is very good. For those who do not want to faint with pro bodies this is an excellent alternative for birdlife or naturalism in general, for sport suffers a little. Unfortunately above 1600 iso images begin to become ugly but in any case usable, certainly without big pretensions, for purists of super sharpness may not be up to par while for fans it is an excellent SLR. Not bad if there is no Wifi ...... If you don't do pro photojournalism you don't need it. An articulated monitor wouldn't have been bad.... but neither does the 1DX mark III. Highly recommended for photo hunting or as a second body for sports

canon_300_f2-8lCanon EF 300mm f/2.8 L USM

Pros: Sharpness, Brightness, Price, Colors

Cons: Tropicalization and weight

Opinion: I recently bought this beautiful lens kept in a maniacal way, it has no sign anywhere. The price is very interesting for an optic, yes old, with a sharpness and a speed of AF excellent( it is clear that the newer models are better but this does its duty perfectly). I use it for sports and nature photography, attached to my 1DX makes very good. Good with canon 1x4 II multipliers while slightly losing sharpness with canon 2x III but the AF speed is always very good. Even without IS does not create major inconvenience because it is very stable as a structure and you can use safety times without too many problems, I did the test of 9 photographing a game of Rugby under 17 in the evening and with the lights of the field almost non-existent, open everything to 2.8 and used smooth has produced excellent images taking into account that I had to take most of the photos above 10,000 ISO for the lack of light, a bit of grain is clear but in those conditions he gave his best.

sigma_150-500osSigma 150-500mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM

Pros: Price, weight

Cons: Sharpness, noise, stabilizer

Opinion: I bought this lens because I needed something inexpensive and versatile to use. After 1 month of continuous tests and updates I brought it back to where I took it and sold it right away. On the other hand for such a low price you can not expect much but in the face of a sharpness non-existent to any f put it and a noise in the photos even to iso 100 I gave up immediately. I forgot... Every time the stabilizer starts it looks like the water heater comes on :-) Not recommended, if you really do not have economic availability then you are satisfied but with a few hundred euros more you can find it much better!!! Hellooooo.....

canon_300_f4isCanon EF 300mm f/4.0 L IS USM

Pros: Lightness, sharpness, low weight and flexibility

Cons: Lack of Tropicalization (but we can stay), AF slow on dynamic but for the price it has is more than great

Opinion: I bought this lens recently and from a juza user who thank you for the helpfulness and kindness and for how it held the lens . The lens is gorgeous very sharp and easy to use in every field, portrait, birdlife, macro... Although not a macro, the 0x24 ratio with a 25-inch extension tube makes it practically a full-fledged macro. Excellent multiplied to 1x4 which makes it (on apsc) a 670 mm with which you can make bird shed excellently while from forest is a little short but effective the same. Great built-in lampshade.
