Cons: Silent shot

Opinion: Bought new in physical store in 2010, and I have to say ke la makkina is worth all the price of a top of the range, af fast and precise, nn loses shot with lens Canon 5oo L anke multiplied, battery life nice over I 1ooo shots great interior menu from real top File prodot I am of excellent quality in all light conditions, at momonto I do not note any problem of operation 120.ooo shots without problems, for my tranquility sent to assistance Canon camera service only once in 2016 x general control and calibration. Pros: Shooting speed, image quality, focus system, ergonomics, autonomy

Cons: Flashy camera, heavy and bulky

Opinion: It has replaced the previous 1d and 1ds series, although in practice it is essentially a 1d with full-frame sensor (the role of cameras with high-resolution files was instead acquired by the 5ds and 5dsr). It is a professional model: it is true that this wording is partly due to marketing strategies, but there is also something concrete, which goes beyond the specifics of the individual components. Compared to other coevi eos models, in fact, the af system offers superior performance, the sensor is the one with the best snr side performance and dynamic range, the viewfinder offers more visual comfort, and the mechanical construction/reliability and longevity of the components is on another level, not to mention ergonomics and autonomy. It is not, of course, an ideal camera for anyone, but it undoubtedly offers a point of balance that the other eos do not reach (although maybe they offer files with more pixels etc.). The autofocus is one of the camera's strengths, although it obviously doesn't benefit from the latest technical solutions adopted on the 1dx mark II (which offers a stop advantage in low light conditions, greater stability in maintaining the put and the ability to have up to 61 af operating points, even with optics and extenders with maximum aperture of f8). Image quality side, the only advantage of the 1dx mark II is to have an extra dynamic range stop at iso 100, a benefit that rising with the iso sensitivity gradually shrinks, until it disappears. At high iso sensitivity, in fact, the two sensors are substantially on par (and outperform the various 5d and 6d currently on the market). As for the videos, apart from the fact of not recording in 4k and stopping at 30p in 1920x1080, the real limit of the 1dx, compared to the 1dx mark II, is the absence of the dual pixel cmos. In full-hd the image quality offered by the two cameras is similar, but the 1dx requires a follow-focus or similar system, to record certain types of videos, while the 1dx mark II offers a reliable and easy-to-use focus system. Buffer side, with a tab cf 1066x udma7 you can take more than 40 consecutive photos, in raw (depends a lot on the scene and iso sensitivity set), at 12fps. For those who need the wireless unit wft, i note that the 1dx is compatible with the wft-e6 model, but not with the next wft-e8 (designed for the 1dx mark II): this is annoying, since the latest unit offers several additional features, in addition to the fact that it is more easy to find.

Pros: Solid, ergonomic, fast, precise, complete. Finally I do not have to buy the BG to balance the optics

Cons: Non-existent silent click

Opinion: After so much I managed to buy it. A show! The files that churns out are among the most workable I've ever seen in the house Canon. Crazy AF, light meter and spectacular gust. The high ISO seal is in line with the sensors of the period (6d and 5DIII) as digital noise, but the recovery of shadows and lights is much simpler. The 18 mpx are more than enough, even in birdlife. I prefer to try to get closer rather than tempt crop exate. The only downside is the silent shot which is not silent at all. But it is a flaw that you will gladly forgive.

Pros: construction, autofocus, burst, file quality, exposure meter, ergonomics, double slot, is a true professional machine

Cons: weight, but I knew it well, it's superior to my skills (but I'm working) is a bit noisy

Opinion: I've been celebrating it for years, since 3 years and a half ago I saw her in the hands of a professional at a baptism and it seemed like a kind of mirage. I used it by a forum user, it seems to have just left the box from so much is kept good, and it was love at first sight. It is a real war machine, robust, fast, with a high-fidelity autofocus, a burst of gunslinger style (even in sound) a meter that does not mistake a shot, the chicca (for canon, reserved only for series 1) of the spot reading anchored to the focus point, and delivers sharp, clean files even to tall iso (the 3200 sends them down like fresh water, the 6400 need just a passatina to denoise without losing details and colors) .contrast style (and weight accordingly), virtually perfect ergonomics with all finger tips even in vertical position, double slot, wide and bright viewfinder, carbon fiber shutter tested for 400,000 sca tti, everything is thought of as a function of maximum performance. especially the 1dxmark II will have surpassed the species in the yield of the sensor (this allows recovery of a better thread than those of 6d, but nothing transcendental), but honestly for an amateur like me is already too pure this, they are 18 mpx pure enjoyment Needless to turn around, the series 1 is something special

Pros: Robust Well Balanced Machine - Gust at 14 fts - Af Fast - Battery Life . Used at low cost

Cons: a little noisy

Opinion: Of the series 1 I tried many (Canon 1n in film then 1ds mk1 - mkII Canon 1D mk1 and mkIII). I must say that I have the hobby of trying out optics and machine bodies from reflex ff to aps-c - mirrorless (on my site www.zeval.org you can find many reviews). This summer on vacation I left home the fuji x-t1 to take me behind the canon 1d mk3 and I can only say that I did not regret the choice, although the fuji is smaller I did not find much difference between the two (they are both "big" ) where you go with a mirrorless there you can an give great even with such a reflex. Then the turn my friend Rudy made me try his 1DX and knowing me I did not wait long to buy a used one with a few shots (as new). The first few months I tried to try all the controls and I can say that it is fantastic ,shot in bursts af very fast, it is always a pleasure to take pictures with this machine even if it is sturdy and bulky I do not see the need to shoot a mirrorless. After a small 9-month break with a 6D mk2 (selling the 1DX) or resumed another 1DX two completely different machines the 6D quieter a toy .... 1DX .... I missed the gust.
