It is a camera that remains in the heart, AF speed, robustness, its heaviness allows more stability in the shot, often used in football fields with the 300mm f4 often with extenders and maintains an excellent AF speed. ISO tightness similar to 5Diii and also in terms of image quality, which I used to support in environments where the shutter sound caused problems. This makes it unusable indoors, weddings, theater, etc. because everyone turns to look at you. Now for this purpose I use the R5, very quiet and quality of microdetail that is unbelievable. We are in 2024 and this car is exactly 11 years old (date of construction of the serial number) - I believe that for many years it will be in my kit and I will hardly be able to deprive myself of it. The 18 mpx are not a problem at all, in fact, an advantage! Light files, soft and real colors. The risk that the 2 5Ds I have (iii and iv) will start to gather dust is very high.
