Pros: Highlights noted: Record-breaking autofocus: It's incredibly fast, almost "telepathic". It follows moving subjects as if there were no tomorrow, and hardly loses the point of focus. For a sports or wedding photographer, this is a blessing. Burst Speed: It looks like a machine gun. The 12-14 frames per second (depending on settings) allows you to capture the exact moment, that fraction of a second that can make the difference between a good photo and an extraordinary one. Indestructible Construction: I've seen these machines take hits, get wet in the rain, and keep running. It gives incredible confidence, knowing that you can rely on it even in the most extreme conditions. Coming from the first series of the Sony A7, the quality and robustness that I perceived as soon as I took it in my hands is truly indescribable Battery life: It seems endless. You can shoot for a whole day without worrying about changing the battery, I don't work on it and so I forget the last change :) In the meantime I also bought a second battery and reading your reviews on the patona that did not have the counter I opted for a DSTE that for now is behaving exactly like the original.

Cons: Aspects that I found a bit "difficult": Weight and size:(just know it) It's not a camera for walking. (you play your shoulder-with a shoulder strap or your back with your backpack and a couple of goals) :) If you have to use it for reportage in which you walk a lot, its weight is felt. It is also an investment in terms of equipment to carry it comfortably. You need a nice capacious bag given its height of about 18 cm which "forces" you to make certain choices Dated technology: It lacks some comforts to which we are used today. For example, the Wi-Fi (I took the wft-6b module) and the integrated GPS are not there, and the fixed rear display does not help in all those situations where you have to shoot from low or high angles. "Noise" of the shot: The shutter makes a rather forte.ma noise for me is COOL ... BUT In certain contexts, such as a silent ceremony or an event at the theater, it can be annoying.

Opinion: "The best or nothing" is the slogan that defines the ideal of perfection, charm and responsibility associated with Gottlieb Daimler, the founder of Mercedes-Benz. =well apply this aphorism to the Canon 1DX ..... It is a high-end professional camera, a flagship designed for action, sports and reportage photography. Although it has been surpassed by the later models (Mark II and Mark III), it remains a reliable and high-performance "tank", it gives you the feeling of a true professional tool, reliable and without compromising on speed and robustness. If your priority is shooting in difficult environments, low light, with moving subjects, it is still a very valid choice today. It is a professional camera, so there are specimens around even with 600-700 thousand shots, but with a holy patience as they always say here on Juza, you can find some rare specimens such as in my case 11,500 shots and gentlemen..... WHAT do you do you don't buy on the fly!! yes buy it and you won't regret it, on the other hand it's a series 1, the files it churns out will repay you for the weight .... I have said everything.

Pros: Professional machine

Cons: If you are aware of what you have in your hand, no one

Opinion: It was my first 1Dx, now I have the Mark ii and the R5. It is a camera that remains in the heart, AF speed, robustness, its heaviness allows more stability in the shot, often used in football fields with the 300mm f4 often with extenders and maintains an excellent AF speed. ISO tightness similar to 5Diii and also in terms of image quality, which I used to support in environments where the shutter sound caused problems. This makes it unusable indoors, weddings, theater, etc. because everyone turns to look at you. Now for this purpose I use the R5, very quiet and quality of microdetail that is unbelievable. I often used it in H2 speed which increases the shutter speed at the expense of the mirror lock but maintains a better AF. Excellent viewfinder quality of viewfinder, better than the 5Diii. The 18MP files are very beautiful and give a look of a photograph of the past, ideal for sports photography (many photos and therefore not very heavy files), the machine gun is useful to make you understand the precise moment of the shot in the presence of loud external noises, fans etc, not to be underestimated. The 1Dx Mark ii is better, albeit slightly, in everything.

Pros: a series 1, indestructible body, ergonomics, autonomy, AF accuracy, file

Cons: Original battery not available

Opinion: When I closed the VAT number I took off 5D2 and 5D3 to buy a used old 1Dx (at the time it was used around 2k), purchased from a wedding photographer who never put the camera under pressure and kept it quite well. What can I say, Canon's first perfect series 1, where the double joystick was introduced for the first time, which for someone who shoots vertically very often is manna from heaven. I have never been able to send it into crisis, never a problem, never an uncertainty. It has a modern file despite being an old lady by now, it holds ISO well and what they say is comparable to the most recent cameras. I also own the old R6 which has the sensor of the 1DxmkIII, but there is no comparison. Canon does not give you the quality of a 7k flagship at € 2000, and the difference in electronics and filter is all there, those who do not notice it should study more and look better. and we are at the point that although the R6 old has a better ISO resistance than the 1Dx old, the file of the latter is another planet. It sounds like a joke but try it to believe it. 18Mpxl are a lot are few, I printed a 50x75 on pictorial canvas of a photo taken with the 70/200 2.8L smooth and looking at it even up close has no defect. By now they pull it after you and sooner or later when it will be found at a human price I will add the last of the reflex flagships that will complete my collection of dinosaurs ;) As far as I'm concerned, the only flaw of this camera is the battery: it has a dedicated model that can only be charged with its charger, it is difficult to find and the charger does not charge the batteries of 1Dx2 or later. Fortunately I have 3 original batteries that give me an almost infinite autonomy. Score:10.

Pros: File quality, burst, robustness, solidity, ease of use. Reliability.

Cons: Weight without a doubt, lack of wifi and gps integrated (for my use useless). It is addictive.

Opinion: I state that I took it second hand and the purchase was random: I had a 7d mi ii that had never fully convinced me and its quality lenses (ef-s 17-55 f2.8 and ef-s 10-22 by Canon), but by now accustomed to the FF the kit was always stationary. By pure chance I came across this page and saw for sale a sample with 86,000 shots, kept as new and at an interesting price. I immediately took off my aps-c kit and landed on this wonder! I do not regret the gesture made in the slightest. The machine is very intuitive to use, reliable, robust, a real tank! We are in 2024 and this car is exactly 11 years old (date of construction of the serial number) - I believe that for many years it will be in my kit and I will hardly be able to deprive myself of it. The 18 mpx are not a problem at all, in fact, an advantage! Light files, soft and real colors. The risk that the 2 5Ds I have (iii and iv) will start to gather dust is very high.

Pros: Rugged, tropicalized, fast and "harmonious" shutter, AF.

Cons: Weight (but you can tell just by looking at it).

Opinion: I had been looking at it for a while, I needed a sports machine (specifically), with good tolerance to high ISO and that didn't cost me a kidney. I thought about it a lot, but I did the shopping and I'm very happy about it. I am an amateur photographer and I must say that this camera in my hand gives great satisfaction, I agree it is dated, it is not touchscreen but I can guarantee you that it does not have great importance it is a pleasure to use it. Yes, the weight is there and you can't deny it, but for me it doesn't really matter. Very satisfied and I hope it can reach at least 500,000 shots (now it has about 147,000). Greetings to all! :)
