Pros: Construction, AF module, shutter speed and use, tropicalization, grip, ease of use, resistance to high iso, very beautiful jpeg, battery life

Cons: No Wifi

Opinion: Fabulous work machine, right amount of pixels, very fast and manages to churn out beautiful jpegs. Passed from 1d4 to 1dx, the improvements are many and are felt, especially on the af side and iso management. I use it for sportswomen together with the 400 2.8 and another together with the 70-200 2.8, both for outdoor and indoor sports (even in very dark halls it behaves very well, if you look at my galleries you will find photos of handball at 12,800/16,000 iso still excellent and usable). For the price it costs, it is a best buy for sports photography, obviously the 1dxii and 1dxiii have even more interesting features but cost much more (at the time of my intersection, its price in the used is about 1500 euros in good condition). It allowed me to take home a lot of beautiful shots, even directly in the room, which working for newspapers is a godsend, of course you have to know how to use it ... but after setting it well according to your needs it works very well (it has a very large and rich af menu and customization).

Pros: Pro pro

Cons: You have to know how to use it

Opinion: I do not list the merits of this camera body because she does not forgive what you do not know how to do and in the body that must be studied and known, still today and a bomb of critical qualities such as the weight the noisy shot and other complaints are not worthy of her, what I can say and that in any photographic situation she is always up to bringing home some beautiful shots then if you buy a Ferrari and you lament that in the countryside is not good and another speech I recommend to those who want to learn to shoot and improve themselves without making sure that they do everything and only technology

Pros: Excellent construction, granite and perfectly stable performance of light meter and AWB, the AF is reliable even with the extreme laterals and the tracking is very reactive, violent burst, "ready" file

Cons: Mirror group induces vibrations with slow times, ignoble flash management, coded batteries, vertical ergonomics that can be improved, only central F8 points, lacks anti flickering, LV a bit dated (but it is 10 years old ...)

Opinion: It is built in an excellent way, for example the mirrorbox is on iron and not on plastic like the 5D, the screen is perfectly visible even with the sun, for each function there is a button, battery and card compartment (2 CF) are blocked by a button, shutter curtains are made of carbon, the tropicalization is very accurate ... But the vertical ergonomics can be perfected, the batteries accept only the Canon otherwise it does not say the percentage of charge and with long focal lengths and times from 1/60 ha micromosso, it must be put in LV as it uses the electronic curtain. From the point of view of performance it is incredibly current, it pays pledge only to the latest ML stacked, the AF is precise and constant even with the extremes, the exposure is not wrong if you try, the tracking is good and must be calibrated to the point to make the best. The biggest flaw is how it manages the flashes, if you are in the car ISO blocks them at 400 even with the flash in M, at the last glow of the sunset I have the habit of letting the machine work in AV and I submit a stop letting the parameters adapt and managing the flashes manually, with this machine it is impossible. It has 18 MPX very clean and really little in need of PP, the GD is something more than the old Canon sensors but without approaching the Sony, it has a practically perfect contrast and holds the high ISO like fresh water, the PP is practically nothing. Too bad that the anti flickering is missing, from such a room it was necessary to work in the halls with horrible lights.

Pros: Burst, Af, sensor, shadow recovery, autonomy, robustness

Cons: No one if you know what you are going to buy

Opinion: I come from 6d 6d2, also passing through rp, here's what to say beautiful photographs, from shadow recovery to three-dimensionality. The car has a great autofocus and a beautiful viewfinder. Are you sure that the photo will take it out whatever the Condition... Chorus quality after so many years I talk about the room model I did not expect such a rendition.... Beautiful

Pros: All

Cons: If I really have to find one at all costs then I would say the lack of silent click for certain situations of naturalistic photography. But the merits are such as to make this "defect" uninfluential or almost.

Opinion: Just fabulous. Extraordinary focus (coming from a 7d Mark II that still has a very good autofocus, this is another planet), hooks the subject to the flight even with complicated backgrounds. Dynamic range that allows you to grasp details that almost escape the naked eye. Great yield at high ISO. If you need it, the gust doesn't leave you on foot. Balances the weight of fixed canvases perfectly, making it easier to use them. What about it? If you really have to look for the hair in the egg then the silent shot is the only mole. But it's a missing comma on a perfect page. Before I took it I had the doubt of the 5d Mark IV – more recent and much appreciated by those who own it – so much so that I had gone to try it. Already after two exits with the 1DX I realized that between the two there is no history – without taking anything away from the 5d. After 6 months of intense use I can conclude that for naturalistic photography the 1 DX is the best choice I could make. It's a war machine that practically doesn't miss a beat when set properly. And if you try the impossible shot you know that this machine has a good chance of doing it anyway! Rating 9.5.
