Pros: Size, Weight, Construction, I.S., ease of use.

Cons: None to date.

Opinion: I have the 24-105, and 500mm and needed something in between. I had the 100-400 in the past and sold it. I liked the 100-400 for versatility but I didn't seem to get a lot of keeper shots with it. I choose this lens for the weight and price. I backpack a lot and need a lens of this length for nature shots without a lot of weight. I have been very satisfied with this lens so far I have taken very good macro shots in my wifes flower bed and great sport shots at my Granddaughters soccer games. I would recommend this lens to Juza followers.

Pros: Price in the second-hand market, stabilization, sharpness, built-in lens hood, weight

Cons: Autofocus sometimes unresponsive

Opinion: I had already owned the smooth version, resold to finance other lenses at that time more necessary for my work needs, but as soon as I had the opportunity I immediately put it back in the kit. It is true that for sports and action photos, especially indoors, the 2.8 would be more suitable, but price, weight and size clearly play in favor of its f/4 brother. Sometimes the autofocus is not very responsive and this may not be good in certain more dynamic situations, but otherwise it largely does its job. For the "portrait round" during the warm-up in volleyball matches - where I don't have access to the court - it's great because it allows me to "paparazzi" even the most distant athletes who with the 70-200 would force me to a robust crop. Among the points most in its favor, portability: the relatively low weight and the built-in hood are an absolute plus. Sharpness and IQ in combination with the R6 are also excellent. On APS-C it also becomes a 480mm f/4. It is not tropicalized, so be careful in case of outdoor use but on the other hand it is robust and excellently built. Once you take the measurements (it is a fixed lens with a wide focal range, and in certain situations it can be a problem), it is a lens that gives great joy. Great job, Canon mom!

Pros: Sharpness Sharpness Sharpness Color Color Boken Boken Boken

Cons: Not having it.

Opinion: A superlative lens that I also use for Macro photography, impressive sharpness, very bright, the blur is creamy.. and the color is gorgeous.. Autofocus is not lightning. but it is a lens that is many years old and even the stabilization is slightly noisy. but they are trifles .. and the photographs he returns in return are exceptional. Taken used will be the last lens I will give away.. It is always a guarantee to have it with you.

Pros: Portability - Built-in lens hood - F4 - Minimum focusing distance 1.5 meters

Cons: for current cameras a bit slow for dynamic situations - a bit soft at f4

Opinion: Excellent lens to start with also associated with APSC compatible with 1.4x EsExtend Mark II (not III associate the color!) currently in the used it is between 600/700 euros excellent deal to start photographing animals, of other Leni at that price do not exist. I've had it for years, I enjoyed it! Then I gave it away for the 70-200 2.8 Mark II sharper brighter lens with stabilizer great for video and photos

Pros: Excellent sharpness, excellent flare resistance, excellent yield also with the 1.4 X II extender, non-existent distortion, fast and precise AF, excellent RR, excellent construction, also relatively light, very manageable, archaic stabilizer but that still allows it to be used quite easily even at 1/8 sec. freehand, a gem of other times finally the telescopic and lockable lampshed in the working position.

Cons: Basically none, in limit conditions just a minimum of lateral color when used with the 1.4 X II extender.

Opinion: A simple goal, really very solid, on which you can always rely, infatible as a mule... in the truest sense of the word, also extremely manageable by virtue of its very low weight and size. In short, an objective that perhaps does not make us cry out for the miracle, but from which it is almost impossible to separate.
