![]() | Nikon Z50 Pros: Construction, ergonomics, IQ, iso seal, screen Cons: lack of dual slots Opinion: I use this camera for light outings. Machine that fits in a pocket of a jacket, especially if coupled with the 16-50 (kit lens but excellent). The construction is elevated as per Nikon tradition with the keys arranged in the right place. It is a pleasure to hold it in your hand because in addition to giving a great sense of robustness, it has an excellent Grip. I was pleased with the image quality, and the high ISO hold is stunning for this camera segment. Another happy note is the monitor which is huge and it is a pleasure to use. sent on March 06, 2023 |
![]() | Tamron SP 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC USD Pros: Stabilized, focal range, price Cons: Sharpness at 300mm not excellent Opinion: Taken used to replace an earlier Tamron 70-300 (not stabilized). They are two completely different worlds since with the previous lens to pull out a decent photo you had to be lucky. With the stabilized version the opinion is positive, the color rendering and the overall quality is satisfactory even if from 250 mm you lose the detail (but there can be and in any case nothing dramatic). The construction of the lens is good, as is the petal hood as well. Being a pushed canvas obviously it is bulky, although not excessively heavy, but after all finding similar lenses with reduced dimensions and dimensions is impossible. Very responsive autofocus (detail not obvious). Recommended for the excellent quality-price as well as for the availability in the world of second-hand. sent on February 08, 2022 |
![]() | Fujifilm XF 35mm f/2 R WR Pros: Sharpness, construction, aperture ring Cons: Hood, lens that once mounted you can hardly do without it Opinion: Lens of fine workmanship as per Fujifilm tradition with the XF series. Super sharpness, very sharp from 2.8 to rise. A ta returns beautiful images, with a pleasant softness. The construction is excellent being in metal and the ring of the diaphragms returns a nice feeling in use. Had it been 1.4 it would have been perfect but it would have overlapped the already present lens with the same opening. The autofocus is also very precise and quiet. Sore note the hood, plastic, but necessary to protect the lens. The compactness of the lens (which I personally also like from an aesthetic point of view), will hardly lead you to detach it from the camera body thus having top performance for various photographic genres (especially portraits, street and some landscape). Advised. sent on January 26, 2022 |
![]() | Fujifilm X-T30 Pros: Aesthetics, build and image quality, af, processor Cons: Q key, battery life, dual slot Opinion: It's the classic car to carry around all the time. Very light, obviously if accompanied by light focal points, and ready to use at any time. Aesthetically it is beautiful, the silver version in particular, and presents the analog rings in full Fujifilm philosophy. Great feeling to the touch. The only drawback is the arrangement of the Q button for the quick menu, which is placed in an uncomfortable area where it is very easy to press it inadvertently. Af side is lightning fast, thus having top-of-the-range performance, which is also possible thanks to the mounted processor. Indisputable image quality, good dynamic range and beautiful colors that fully reflect the color science of the Japanese company. One thing I didn't like is the battery life, too low, but this is a general ML problem as the other Fujifilms I owned or got to try also presented the same problem. The latter could also be the absence of the double slot, but Personally I do not see it as a big limit finding it right to differentiate the product from the X-T3. sent on April 16, 2021 |
![]() | Tamron 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di LD Macro Pros: Little or nothing but the price Cons: Construction quality, af. Opinion: Purchased at the dawn of my photographic experience, but used very little. It's really hard to get noteworthy photos out. It is clear, however, that for that price we cannot expect who knows what photographic quality. A lot, a lot of plastic that gives the touch a poor feeling. The lack of stabilization will make it difficult to take home shots of moving subjects which is a bit frustrating. I found it useful only in the portrait field where it gave some small satisfaction. AF also underperforming. To buy if you want to practice with low-priced pushes, but if you enter this photo segment you will surely veer on to something else. Already the stabilized Tamron itself is something else, but it also costs more than twice as much. sent on April 16, 2021 |
![]() | Nikon AF-S DX 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED VR Pros: Build quality, versatility Cons: a little dark Opinion: Nikon house lens of undoubted construction quality. The feeling to the touch gives a feeling of indisputable reliability. Versatility is certainly a point in favor since it allows you to cover a rather important focal range, thus allowing you to range between different photographic genres. At the same time it has from its an absence of brightness (but on the other hand we are not talking about a fixed) that can make the nose twist, but this is contrasted with the presence of stabilization that therefore allows a wider maneuver on the shooting times. It may suffer from a slight back focus especially on some machine bodies (on my D7000 I warned this problem) to which you can overcome by calibrating the lens with the help of the reflex menu. Also recommended because once bought it will be difficult to get it out of the car. sent on February 15, 2021 |
![]() | Nikon AF 50mm f/1.8 D Pros: Compact, portability, sharpness Cons: Noisy, build quality Opinion: Goal to have. With just over 100 euros you take home a lens with character, which returns a good yield to the shots. Certainly the construction quality is not the best, which is acceptable if you look at the price, but the convenience of use will not make you regret its possession. Excellent compromise for newbies and beyond. sent on October 16, 2020 |
![]() | Fujifilm XC 15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS PZ Pros: Compactness, 15mm sharpness, value for money Cons: Power zoom Opinion: A lens that tends to be sold in kits, but it should not cast doubt on its optical performance. Excellent image quality especially for 15 mm shots, where it has little to envy to the older brothers. It loses a bit of quality if you push yourself to bigger focal points. The construction is certainly not that of the XF series, but at the same time its compactness will not affect the overall weight in the slightest, thus benefiting in favor of portability. A sore note the power zoom, although after a while you get used to it. In any case, the overall rating is more than positive especially because with about 300 euros you take home a Fujinon lens with excellent quality-price. sent on October 12, 2020 |
![]() | Nikon D40x Pros: Construction; file quality Cons: Hold high iso, three maf points, absence live view and video Opinion: My first DSLR. Little plastic, a lot but a lot of substance combined with an excellent build quality. A reflex that, although produced as an entry level, produced excellent files especially for all photos taken with low iso. Not very excellent on the high iso side. The three points of focus might seem like a limit, but you have to consider that we are talking about a reflex produced since 2007. I separated myself to switch to a semi pro, also for its absence of live view very useful to compose certain shots. Absence of the video industry, but it does not matter given the satisfactions he gave on the purely photographic side. sent on January 03, 2020 |
![]() | Nikon D7000 Pros: Construction quality; image quality Cons: tends to overexpose; af sometimes inaccurate Opinion: The nikon d7000 looks pleasant to the touch, built egregiously to be a reflex with aps-c sensor. Semi-pro body, important grip, with a 16.2 megapixel sensor that churns out very interesting images with the possibility of getting great prints. It sins a little from the point of view of autofocus, especially in low light conditions, and this not excellent reaction certainly does not put it on top with regard to the aps-c bodies for moving shots. Ultimately it is a great reflex, which certainly does not have much to envy to the latest machine bodies (at least as far as entry levels are concerned), while it certainly does not stand the comparison when compared with the older sisters d7200/d7500. Tip: use it with "important" optics as only with them can make it to its full potential. Recommended. sent on December 29, 2019 |
![]() | Fujifilm X-T100 Pros: Versatility; iso seal; file quality Cons: Autofocus sometimes slow; Battery Opinion: Purchased as a second body machine to enter the ML system, I was immediately well impressed about its versatility. Great for the street, but also for landscape and portraiture (in this case if well accompanied by lenses of a certain thickness), it certainly lends itself as an excellent companion that allows you to take quality photos without having to carry behind the, alas bulky, reflex. THE JPEGs churned out by this machine are already usable as they are very detailed (especially black-and-white shots), while THE RAW, also level, offer a lot of leeway in the post. Sometimes it sins a bit of precise in low light conditions with a slightly slow autofocus, but thanks to a good high iso hold, it allows you to get printable photos even with high sensitivity (say up to 5000/6400 iso). One thing that puzzles me a little is definitely the battery hold, so the advice is to buy a spare one just in case, forgetting the eternal durations of the batteries of the reflex cameras. sent on December 17, 2019 |
