nikon_z7Nikon Z7

Pros: For what I do, everything.

Cons: At the moment nothing but the battery life that is really scarce.

Opinion: Taken two days ago used with 4000 shots (practically new) at a "favor" price at a physical store whose owner is an old friend of mine. I'm testing it these days and I must say that it reflects all my expectations. As a portrait photographer, landscape photographer and still life, I think it's the ideal camera. Pixels suitable for crop even extended, responsiveness to the step of what I do, performing autofocus, ergonomic and "light" camera body, intuitive menu and, last but not least, quality of the sensor that churns out really good files.

pentax_k1_iiPentax K-1 Mark II

Pros: Everything you need for pro level photos

Cons: Stuck in terms of technological evolution (damn Ricoh!)

Opinion: I have owned this beast for almost two years and before reviewing it I wanted to test it over time. It really has everything a professional could want for shots worthy of reproduction and/or print. Quality and robustness are the fixed cornerstones of this machine. I will not dwell on the qualities tout court that I have been presumed to be clear to many (at least to those who own it or have possessed it). It is an old-fashioned SLR and therefore the precautions, progress and speeds that are found today on mirrorless here are very distant. Not evolving and not keeping up with it, it is obvious that with these devices you go back a little "back" in time and you have to work with more "diluted" times (which is not necessarily a bad thing). It's certainly not a product for quick action shots or sports. Accessories and anything else are VERY difficult to find on the market so much so that many brands have also stopped producing for Pentax. On the other hand, on the used lenses, there is enough material even if often dated lenses but qualitatively valid. Removed these things, if you really want to take beautiful photos, with dynamic range, color and b / w almost worthy of medium format, I can only recommend it.

tamron_70-200_f2-8Tamron SP 70-200mm f/2.8 Di LD

Pros: Sharpness, bright, price on used (and also on the new actually), macro function.

Cons: Weight not indifferent, not stabilized.

Opinion: Taken 3d days ago, done some testing on the field and. what to say: for the price on the used is excellent. Bright at all openings, crisp and excellent color rendering. The focus is a little ballerina sometimes (I use it on Sony a7rii with Sigma adapter for Canon) but using it in manual the thing does not bother me that much. The lack of stabilization and weight make it a piece to be used almost exclusively on tripod (at least for me that with the adapter the internal stabilization of Sony is disabled). It has its years, but all in all for those who do not want to spend a fortune on the Canon or Nikon counterparts and want excellent results, it is an alternative to take into account. Do I recommend it? I'd say so.

venus_laowa_15_f4macroVenus Laowa 15mm f/4 Macro

Pros: It induces you to have a necessary creativity, otherwise it is better to let go.

Cons: Price on the new decidedly hesyy... otherwise no one, if you know what he does and how he does it.

Opinion: Taken yesterday used at a price of "favor" by my photographer friend Gabriele of FotoModerna in Siena. Special goal, almost exclusively born for highly creative and particular photos. All manual. It needs a certain patience of composition both for the frame and the tuning to come out interesting and "curious" shots. Good sharpness in the center that gradually loses at extremes. In short, a particular goal, to be used, above all, in good light conditions for the macro (with the help of an even better flash). Do I recommend buying it? For the price on the new, I'd say no... on the used, perhaps, just to have something different in the bag.

sigma_mc11Sigma MC-11 EF/Sony

Pros: Functional, well done, robust and at a more than reasonable price.

Cons: For value for money, none.

Opinion: Taken a week ago to accompany him to my A7rii on Canon optics, he does his job well and qualitatively nothing is lost. It keeps all automations in a valuable way and works with all (or almost) EF optics. Every now and then he struggles to catch fire, but stuff of a few milliseconds. It's the best of itself with Sigma attack Canon optics of course. I recommend buying it.

oneplus_6tOnePlus 6T

Pros: All

Cons: Value for money, none.

Opinion: I have had myriad of phones over the years, and of various brands, from the first Motorola to Sony, HTC, Samsung, Huawei, Apple and who has more and more put it. If I were to make it short this smartphone has a performance balance that I have not encountered in any other device. I've had it for a couple of months and I can say... The battery is great, arrives at the end of the day and beyond if you do not stress endlessly, RAM and processor at the top for a fluidity always constant and devoid of impuntamenti, a software well done, intuitive and functional, audio quality and calls remarkable, a camera of all Compared coming, in the video, up to a 4k to 60fps with good results and in the photograph really releases enjoyable shots and good definition, facial release and fingerprint under the flash screen. In short for the figure to which it is sold (honest in my opinion) and the high-end performance It offers is a smartphone to be taken without hesitation.

fujifilm_x-t2Fujifilm X-T2

Pros: Ease of use, manageable body and not cumbersome, jpeg files fabulous (if well managed), excellent image quality, dynamic range beautiful beautiful (at least for what are my taste), excellent performance at high ISO with bright lenses, 4k files really excellent and an equally full hd well defined (for those who make videos).

Cons: Ergonomics a bit 'left in the background' (solvable with the bg), very expensive cost on most of the original lenses (but you know, the quality you pay).

Opinion: I took this little gem about 20 days ago and I'm getting really good. A mirroless that for my uses (portrait, street, landscaping) is more than performing. In terms of quality, it has all the credentials to play with just as many brand names as emblazoned at a fair price. The classic machine that in terms of quality / price is more than good. A well-made menu, simple and intuitive, manual rings that are a boon to work in manual. The 18-55 usually supplied with the kit is not limited to being a 'kit lens'. It 'a very good and clear everything to do, bright enough that produces beautiful images and with a focal excursion that allows both a bit of landscape that portrayed. Find them 'kit lenses' of this invoice with aperture 2.8-4. Unfortunately, the batteries have a very short duration. 4k video files have a limitation of 15 min. with only the body, but taking its bg the option is extended to 30 min. In addition, the BG allows you to work with moreugrave; tranquility as it houses two batteries, plus the one in the recess of the grip (3 in tot), ensuring a lasting and reliable work performance. I would say that for this kind of 'consumption', the BG is almost an obligation. In short, on balance an excellent purchase, and absolutely to be recommended in case anyone was undecided in taking a mirroless at an affordable cost with pro results.

samyang_8fisheye_f2-8_iiSamyang 8mm f/2.8 UMC Fisheye II

Pros: Affordable cost, sharpness, brightness and good color rendering.

Cons: For the quality / price ratio I would say no, but if we really want to find something, the maf is not very fluid.

Opinion: Taken a few days ago for my xt2 to do something fun and out of the usual patterns, I'm finding myself very well. Like all the particular objectives of this kind, it should be known to use. Take into account the lines, perspectives and type of photo you want to do, also because post does not adjust much at these extremes. Recommended and always kept in the bag for those, like me, has the whim of a "special research" in the shots.
