panasonic_s5Panasonic S5

Pros: High quality file also in jpg with beautiful colors . Video quality for an unrivaled FF. Tropicalized machine and comfort of the LCD screen adjustable and above all clearly visible under the sunlight. Lens in kit (20 60) that guarantees shots of the highest level for a lens in kit. I left the Sony world after 6 years (a5100, a6400 and a7III for 4 years) and I don't regret it. Battery of excellent duration Precise autofocus Many types of autofocus (for each type of shot) this is both a merit and a defect

Cons: Expensive optics and still little availability of other brands Weighing machine to be a mirrorless. Autofocus not up to Sony but for the type of photos I do it is not a problem . Too many types of autofocus, if I do not know how to study well you risk not getting the most out of the camera.

Opinion: I've been using the S5 for 5 months and I'm really happy with the files it can churn out. While with the Sony A7III I was almost always forced to switch from Photoshop for a color adjustment with S5 the file is already publishable after shooting Burst not very high Quality of the beautiful and colorful video file . I just hope that other brands will soon come out with alternative products and at human prices. A 50mm 1.8 should not cost under 400€...

sony_fe85_f1-8Sony FE 85mm f/1.8

Pros: Sharpness-weight-custom button-Autofocus

Cons: Unstabilized-Custom button-lens hood

Opinion: I took this optics in January 2019 taking advantage of Sony's cashback. I'm approaching the world of portraits and I wanted an appropriate perspective. Really nice lens, on Sony A7III it really returns some great files. The custom button is convenient for AF on the eyes if you take pictures horizontally, it becomes decidedly uncomfortable for vertical shots leaving prefer (always for Af over the eyes) other solution on the machine. The weight is not excessive and does not make it heavy, also used for video is not difficult to hold in hand even with a small tripod of the Manfrotto. Very comfortable the AF/MF button that speeds up the whole, good the ring for manual focus. The autofocus is fast and quiet. The lens hood is ugly, does its duty (of course) but it is ugly. The photos at F 4 are really well defined. Taken new to €570 to which will be subtracted the cashback of €60. The lack of stabilization means that the lens is lighter but you have to be careful with the times, the luck of having a Sony A7III in this point of view helps a lot. To date my kit includes, 35 mm 2.8 of Samyang, the 85 mm 1.8 Sony and Optics in Kit 28 70. Recommended Lens undoubtedly.

samyang_fe35_f2-8Samyang FE 35mm f/2.8 AF

Pros: Light, compact and economical

Cons: Autofocus noise

Opinion: I've taken from a month the A7III and FF lenses really cost so much. I took this 35mm 2.8 which makes the Sony really compact and lightweight, keeping the spirit of a mirrorless alive. The yield is really good, sharp photos, excellent autofocus and also supports the AF on the eyes. Really compact and focal ideal for video and for portraits set. The only note is that it feels a tad bit af when it needs to focus. Nothing worrying but it is right that you know optics recommended. Taken at the end of September 2018 in a physical store at €255, new and with 5 years warranty.

panasonic_tz90_zs70Panasonic Lumix TZ90 / ZS70

Pros: Compact, zoom, tilt screen and viewfinder

Cons: Little Bright Optics

Opinion: I am the owner of Sony A6500 and I was also a Panasonic gx80, I removed the Panasonic for the possibility of being able to have a car to carry without encumbrance during the occasional trips or outings. Without the weight of backpacks, optical etc etc. It is a machine that was paid €350 (June 2018) which has the same characteristics as the other Panasonic, full menu, possibility of being able to stop motion, timelapse and excellent video. The sound of the microphone is also very good. Remarkable zoom excursion, certainly does not have a great sensor at the levels of the Sony RX Mark 3 but is very versatile and has both the tilting screen and the viewfinder. Obviously it suffers in buii and not bright environments but thanks to the various default settings in SCN you will be able to take home always the photo. I was impressed on one thing, putting the machine on S (shooting mode) I had seen that the Times did not exceed 4 seconds. So I was wondering if I wanted to make a long exposure as heck I would have done to use longer times; Fortunately in the instruction booklet (very complete and in Italian), you were instructed to use a mode in SCN that included long exposures. I recommend also a second battery as being small (especially if you do some video or timelapse) fall.

sigma_dn16_f1-4dcSigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN C

Pros: Sharpness, autofocus

Cons: Heavy and large

Opinion: I got this lens for my last trip to Lisbon. I promised myself to only use this lens for both photos and videos [do candid things]. Well even framing changes between the autofocus was a breeze. Not being leveled off but having a a6500 haven't had major problems. Side photo is really very nice and sharp, is pretty hefty. I also have 10 18 f4 and Zeiss 16 70 and this lens is bigger and heavier than each of the two lenses. Between the camera body and lens you get around 750-800 grams. Paid €380 I can only advise I attach link to the first part of our tour in Lisbon, unfortunately YouTube reduces enough yield. I repeat, we are talking about amateur videos https://youtu.be/Uteu1M-N2cc

sony_10-18Sony E 10-18mm f/4 OSS

Pros: Useful for photos and videos, sharpness

Cons: Distortion

Opinion: I took it in July for the holidays. I hardly got it off with a 35mm 1.8 and a 18 105 f4. Very useful for photos and video too. Ideal on an a6500 so it does not "sform" it too much like balancing and taking. Obviously 10 distortions but nothing that can not be repaired in post. Optics that gives very sharp photos, which does not do the 18 105. Lens recommended though the costs of sony are certainly not the most accessible.

sony_pz18-105Sony E PZ 18-105mm f/4 G OSS

Pros: Impressive, beautiful, versatile

Cons: Weight and little sharpness

Opinion: Mine is a simple passion for videos and photos. I only give my impressions without going into technicalities that I absolutely do not have. Recently, the 18 105 F4 G target has been built. Put on the a6500 certainly gives a more imposing sense to the car. It is true that those who choose a mirrorless often do it for a practical, light and easy-to-use speech, but with a view of this magnitude mirrorless has its versatility and grip that with the 16 50 base does not have. I come from a DSLR D7200 with 24-120 f4 that undoubtedly had its weights, here we do not get together between body and optics only the weight from the Nikon optics. Autofocus very fast, very comfortable [especially for those who make videos] the zoom lever very smooth and not noisy. Accustomed to nikon lenses that zoomed and stretched often held around the neck could create problems, this has the enormous advantage of not extending physically but does everything internally. In case [rare] you need the flash of Sony well forget it, the flash with the light will fall right onoptical length and will exit photos with shadow. Paradoxically enough [but it is a bit convoluted] with a finger pry under the flash to avoid it is aimed at the lens. I repeat, only in the unfortunate event that the flash should serve you. rnrnUpdate the review after months of use, the 18 105 was sold because the photo side (and I emphasize photos) did not give the sharpness that I was looking for. I took the 16 70 zeiss that gives quite other "emotions". Video side is useful for zooming, photo side has disappointed .rnEvening the shutter for more stability. In these days I will certainly try it even better to understand its surrender. At the moment my review is very positive both for construction and for the first photos and videos made. It is the right optics without fainting, certainly goes alongside another lens for other photographic / video requirements, but it is highly recommended. In my case I also have a 35mm 1.8 oss and the 16 50 kit. Soon I will take the 10 18 of which I will write later.

nikon_d7200Nikon D7200

Pros: Burst, autofocus, strong customization

Cons: no tilting screen

Opinion: I took a few days, I come from a d5100. Well despite the d5100 I have given me much satisfaction I wanted to make a quantum leap without going directly to the full frame. Beautiful machine, extensive customizing buttons, almost mandatory switch between manual. Too many important functions that you have to understand. I might like to have the folding screen type the d5100 but never mind. rnIo I combined with a 24,120 f4, really beautiful photos. Soon I'll use it for a sporting event my daughter, on that occasion I shall be more specific on the results. To date happily satisfied.

tamron_17-50Tamron SP 17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di II LD

Pros: Statement (for its quality) rnBei colorirn

Cons: at the moment no

Opinion: I took a little from this point of view, leaving 18 105 nikon, was looking for something better from a standpoint of brightness. Leaving advice from others I've also chosen the Tamron (non VC version) and the purchase has been the focal azzeccato.rnMolto comfortable, sure would help a 24 120 f4 but in all honesty I can not afford. I bought it used and still under warranty of 4 years to 220 €. Really nice photos with very natural colors and not fired. I did not notice, unlike the others, the problem of noise autofocus. RNE 'perspective which I highly recommend, I mount it on a d5100 and personally (I'm not a photographer nor I pretend to want to become) I believe that the shots taken are really good, I hardly suffered from the lack of VC. Just get the classic measures recommended by the experts and is superabile.rnUn great buy in my parere.rn
