Pros: Sharpness on the whole frame, Bokeh, Colors, Autofocus, price.

Cons: not stabilized, heavier than direct competitors.

Opinion: Beautiful lens that - with the Sony A6500 - gave me (and gives) so much satisfaction both photos and videos. Equivalent to a 24mm, it is razor-sharp and has beautiful bokeh. The construction is excellent, solid and - perhaps - even too simple (there are no controls, see the "cons"). The pros: Photo side: sharp throughout the frame, in landscape photos it returns images with beautiful colors. Flare and ghosting are always well controlled, chromatic aberrations practically absent. Given the focal length and the aperture of the aperture, it is also well suited to portraits set: even in this field I consider it an excellent lens. Video side: Mounted on the A6500 with a Zhiyun M2S Crane, it returned stunning footage in super sharp 4k25p in any situation, from full sun to dark night, helping the camera to use low iso. The focus has always been precise even in low light. And the bokeh... Well, I think it's spectacular. To these "pros" I add a consideration: it is a lens that (1) if you travel "with the family" mounts it up and you do everything with beautiful results without feeling the need to use anything else except in particular situations; (2) if the journey is "photographic" the speech is the same, but perhaps mounting it on a second body. In short, it is a fixed "all-rounder" of excellent quality. The cons: It's heavy. It weighs twice as much as the direct competitor Sony 15mm f / 1.4 (but also costs less eh) to be almost at the limit for use with the gimbal Zhiyun M2S Crane: it is still a reasonably light setup to take on vacation without any problem and in any case it is much lighter than an equivalent FF setup. It is not stabilized but if like me you have a camera with stabilized sensor is fine too. It completely lacks controls: aperture, buttons and distance scales, it only has the manual focus ring.

Pros: Sharp enough, opening that allows you to keep the ISO reasonably low, hood supplied.

Cons: In the M4/3 it is a 32 equivalent and some zooms, such as the 12-40 pro, do just as well.

Opinion: I have both the 16 sigma and the 12-40 pro and the 12-100 pro Olympus. The greater aperture of the sigma solves some critical situations and in most cases, when apertures between 4 and 8 can be used, the yield is equivalent if not slightly higher than the two zooms, both in terms of colors and sharpness (clearly it is a personal opinion, I am not able to do instrumental tests). The weight is a problem only when I mount it on the Pen F, on the OM-1 the optics are well balanced. Do I recommend it? As much as I paid (used) it is worth all its money, both for the video and for the photos. the fact that in the M4/3 it is an equivalent 32 makes it interesting in the street, where it allows you not to have to think too much about the frame. For me it's a 9.

Pros: Video side, really remarkable.

Cons: Photo side... it is also not related to 30 1.4 and 56 1.4

Opinion: Used with m4/3 I call it a big disappointment. Video side is remarkable and thanks to its wide aperture the iso always remain low and fast autofocus. But photo side is not remotely related to the 30mm f / 1.4 and 56mm f / 1.4 , this 16mm (and I took 2 specimens because it seemed impossible), a TA is unusable, in the center begins to be sharp as it should at f / 2.8, at the edges instead you have to close it at f / 5.6. Small example, the 12-40 pro, at 16mm is always sharper from edge to edge of this fixed. In the m4/3 especially you need light and then be able to use it with open apertures, obviously I do not recommend it, but not even for landscapes etc., there are even zooms that do better. I have seen various tests that confirm my opinion about it, I do not understand the reviews where they define this 16mm a blade ... Then comparing it to the 56mm is really unreadable.

Pros: Construction, AF, little AC, flare resistance.

Cons: It is only at its best between F4 and F8.

Opinion: Optics with an excellent price/quality ratio. A 24mm FF equivalent of solid construction, with very little chromatic aberration and very good autofocus even on the Sony A6000 which does not excel in AF. Top construction and materials. Definitely heavier than many other optics but there is a lot of glass. The performance at TA is only acceptable but for the price it costs you can not ask for results from the first of the class. It quickly recovers quality already at F2 but only closing at F4 it becomes very good and at F5.6/8 excellent. I tried starry effects at F11/16 (F16/24 FF equivalent) obtaining them discreet and with very minimal flare but with decidedly unsatisfactory general yield. Overall a lens that I promote with an 8 mainly for the cost and for the excellent yield to the intermediate diaphragms. Sigma does great things but this lens is not comparable to other wides of greater cost,

Pros: Image quality, sharpness, brightness, build quality

Cons: lack of stabilizer?

Opinion: I've always loved the 18-35 1.8 for Nikon SLR. At the time, I was glad to see this perspective for Fuji. I use it with an X-T3, where the lack of stabilizer is certainly a disadvantage. The quality of the photos, even in backlit situations, is perfect to my face. Manageability on the X-T3: excellent balance between body and optics, perhaps on the XE series I would prefer a lens with a smaller diameter. Summing up I give a 10, and now I have a big problem: I always have to choose between Sigma and Fuji 10-24 4.0 - I like both a lot!
