![]() | Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-90mm f/2.8-4 ASPH Pros: Fast, quiet, sharp Cons: heavy, expensive, not having it Opinion: The feeling immediately is that of being (behind) an extraordinary target. The weight with the Panasonic S5 II is not felt because it is very well balanced. After all, the robustness and substance of this lens translates into enormous quality. I tested it indoors, especially portraits and I must say that the colors of the complexion left me speechless. True, extraordinarily true. On Leica prices we know, it is useless to discuss it here. sent on April 28, 2025 |
![]() | Fujifilm X-T5 Pros: Lightweight, many functions Cons: High ISO behavior Opinion: I have been using this machine for over a year. It undoubtedly has many qualities, one for all focus. The choice to use a 40Mp sensor in my opinion makes it less performing with low light or not very bright optics. Used to 24 Mp and 36Mp full-frame sensors, I must say that this one suffers. In a nutshell, I can't carry two camera bodies with me and this one, with all the excellent technological qualities it has, is limiting for the use I make of it. It still remains a beautiful object. sent on December 09, 2024 |
![]() | Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 Di Macro Pros: Sharp, lightweight Cons: I don't know Opinion: I found it used but as new, tried as a portrait lens for a cosplay event and some macro shots. The camera body used is a Pentax K-1, with which it works very well. Sharp beyond f/4. Focusing, for a macro lens, is not that slow. I am very satisfied and did not make me regret the Pentax 100mm. I owned the Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 which I still regret. sent on September 10, 2024 |
![]() | Viltrox AF 33mm f/1.4 Pros: Sharpness, focus, price, materials Cons: Aperture ring unclicked but I don't care Opinion: Bought used for 200 euros, I have to say that it is money well spent. At the edges the sharpness decreases but for me it is not a defect for such an optics, on the contrary it emphasizes the central part creating a bokeh all in all pleasant. At the level of its brand correspondents at a very competitive price. I think I'll get another little brother in the family. sent on January 20, 2024 |
![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm f/4-5.6 II Pros: Lightweight, economical, versatile Cons: I don't know at this price Opinion: An all-rounder not to be despised at all. I was amazed by the optical quality of such a small and lightweight lens. It has a remarkable travel equivalent to 28-300mm. I did an afternoon outing with the OM-D E-M10 IV and on a beautiful bright day I didn't miss anything. The portability of the kit sometimes becomes a primary need. sent on June 06, 2023 |
![]() | Ricoh GR IIIx Pros: Size, sharpness, speed. Cons: Nothing Opinion: I was waiting for the glory of Ricoh to come out with this focal length as similar as possible to the human eye. The 2.8 diaphragm makes it very versatile even in low light conditions. I find it extremely sharp, I would say crispy. An APS-C soul in a compact body, what else can you ask for? Some raise the defect of the battery that has little life. It's true but with a power bank it recharges very quickly, taking a little break. I find myself always using this one to the detriment of other machines, this is the indicator of its practicality. The macro function is beautiful, it churns out beautiful photos. Pleasant colors. The video part obviously under tone but I do not use it even with Sony. I'm curious to print some recent shots to understand how much it is really worth but already on the 27" screen it gives a good idea of the excellent purchase. sent on August 24, 2022 |
![]() | Pentax-D FA* HD 50mm f/1.4 SDM AW Pros: Sharpness to f/1.4 Cons: Weight, but for quality you see you need Opinion: One of the best goals ever built by Pentax, a generational shot, a new way of doing things. This objective makes a number of colleagues pale. I had the opportunity to try it and although I already have sigma art this is really on the same level if not more. You can count the pores of the skin... I'm told the new 85mm pentax house is even better. I can't wait to try that too. I thought it was more weight, with the K-1 everything is very balanced. sent on September 10, 2020 |
![]() | Sony FE 85mm f/1.8 Pros: Sharpness, lightness, materials, price Cons: I don't know Opinion: This lens amazed me, despite having read the flattering evidence of some sites, about sharpness. Another positive note is the lightness. Considering that it is a lens for full frame I would have expected a greater weight. I also like the colors, quite natural and also the blurred is very pleasant. I think I'll soon match it to the 35mm little brother I've already tried and convinced me. sent on November 03, 2019 |
![]() | Fujifilm X-T3 Pros: Sensor, improved autofocus, side dial Cons: I don't know Opinion: I can't find a real defect to this machine. It's lightweight, versatile, it makes really quality videos. It has all the latest Fuji technology, it has two sd memory slots that come in handy for those who use it for work (many more than you might think). It has the possibility to be fed even with a usb cable. In my opinion one of the best mirrorless aps-c ever produced. sent on August 12, 2019 |
![]() | Fujifilm XF 18-55 f/2.8-4R LM OIS Pros: Sharpness, stabilization, lightness, cost-effectiveness Cons: Lens hood? Opinion: I can't find a real flaw in this goal. Paid much less than 300 euros new has perhaps the only "defect" of not having constant opening at 2.8, but for that there is the older brother 16-55 that costs three times. Great build quality, I thought it was more plastic. It won't be the sharpest at 55 but for unprofessional use for me it's great. Mostly he's a very handyman to carry. sent on June 30, 2019 |
![]() | Pentax SMC DA* 300mm f/4.0 ED (IF) SDM Pros: Sharpness, blur, color, price Cons: Nothing Opinion: I consider it one of the best lenses ever built by Pentax, I have had the opportunity to try it for years and it is still a lens from which I can not separate myself. Simply because it is of truly excellent quality. It also Works properly on the K-1 and is multichangeable although it has to be used in this case, but they are in this, crop mode for not vigneting. Another point in its favor is that compared to the new Octice full frame is less heavy and cumbersome, not a feather but portable without problems. sent on March 22, 2019 |
![]() | Pentax SMC DA 50mm f/1.8 Pros: Sharpness, lightness Cons: Low quality materials Opinion: It is in my opinion the Pentax lens with the best value for money. I was often amazed by the three-dimensionality and the colors. From a low end lens one does not expect much, this instead amazed me. Always keep in the bag for any eventuance. I don't find any big flaws except that it's all plastic and sometimes it's noisy in the focus. sent on February 19, 2019 |
![]() | Pentax SMC DA* 16-50mm f/2.8 ED AL (IF) SDM Pros: Sharpness, versatility, is a starry. Cons: I don't know Opinion: I have owned this lens for several years then, moving on to full frame I sold it. I have to say that the criticisms read on several reviews have never found me agree. This is a wonderful goal. Now maybe passed by the new Pentax but in my opinion really great. Some have had problems with the engine, maybe this is the Achilles heel, for the rest I always liked it very much. sent on February 19, 2019 |
![]() | Fujifilm XF 10-24mm f/4 R OIS Pros: Sharp, versatile and stabilized Cons: Little Bright Maybe. Opinion: A great lens that is not even too cumbersome and ranges from 10 to 24mm, the only real flaw in my opinion is that with the integrated flash of the XT-20 is formed a shadow area even without lens hood and that can be very annoying. The stabilizer may seem superfluous but it is not at all, especially at 24mm. sent on January 02, 2019 |
![]() | Samyang 35mm f/1.4 AS UMC Pros: Sharpness, pleasant blur, soft focus, price, solidity Cons: Lacks autofocus Opinion: This lens I really like though compared to the Sigma 35 art loses on all fronts, apart from the build quality in which it is probably better this. What about it? For what costs them all worth, I was amazed by the personality, has something indefinable that makes it enjoyable. At the manual kelp you get used to it right away and with Oppurtuno adapter ring can also be used on mirrorless having control over the mechanical diaphragms. sent on December 28, 2018 |
![]() | Pentax SMC D-FA 100mm f/2.8 Macro WR Pros: Sharpness, bokeh, weather resistance. Cons: Autofocus Opinion: If this lens had a height autofocus it would be first prize in its category. I did not want to take a vote for this because I often use a manual focus and I must say that it was love at first sight. A unique design and still unimitated, does not resemble any other Pentax lens or other brands. What about, it's one of the first I bought of the Pentax and I don't really think about giving it away. On the K-1 then found its right size, that full frame. It is very valid not only for the macros and all in all quite bright, resistant to rain and bad weather... what else can you want? sent on December 05, 2018 |
![]() | Pentax D FA 24-70mm f/2.8 ED SDM WR HD Pros: Construction, sharpness, weatherproof Cons: Weight but with the K-1 are well balanced Opinion: I have this lens for a couple of years now and I have to say that it is an irreplaceable piece of my kit. It covers a wide range of focal lengths and for this it is very versatile. Luminous, it is 2.8 on all focal lengths, and in my opinion it is sufficiently resolvent a bit on all. The bokeh is very pleasant and has a very effective flare resistance. What about, a professional goal. sent on December 05, 2018 |
![]() | Tamron SP 70-200mm f/2.8 Di LD Pros: Sharpness Cons: Heaviness Opinion: It is not a monster of lightness but compared to the Pentax 70-200 it is more manageable. With this lens I immediately found the Feeling. Sharp and precise is not lightning but in my opinion for what it costs them all worth. I have used it with Pentax K-1 with which it behaves very well, it also works perfectly well with the multiplier ring 1, 4x. I also love the colors and the blur of this lens. sent on October 14, 2018 |
![]() | Pentax-D FA * 70-200mm f/2.8 ED DC AW Pros: sharpness, Focus Lock Cons: Heaviness Opinion: In my opinion is one of the best lenses successful at Pentax, fast and silent in the focus allows to adapt the subject possibly not centered with "quick-shift" and then to recover the back or front focus. Very nice Colors. Weatherproof and very robust construction. Made to Last. Replaces in full frame format the wonderful 50-135mm so popular in the APS-C format. sent on October 13, 2018 |
![]() | Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Pros: Frightening sharpness even at full aperture, three-dimensionality, bokeh. Cons: Slight vignetting. Opinion: Considering that my specimen with the Pentax K-1 does not suffer from back/front focus I am very satisfied. The slight vignetting I like species in certain situations. What about it? One of the best lenses I've ever had. I also have the Samyang which is very valid, this has something more. I also did some tests, the Sigma manages to pull out film atmospheres that now are made with plugins while here are an integral part of the lenses. I love it already and I only have it for a week. sent on September 30, 2018 |
