Pros: Compact but professional-quality

Cons: For the type of machine which is no

Opinion: It is a brilliant camera, it does practically everything that the "big" ones do with the size of a package of tissues, or a little more. The sensor is a 24MP APSC, the lens does a great job, it does not distort, it guarantees good brightness, the files it produces are of a quality not unlike other large cameras, in short, if the fixed lens is not a problem this contraption does its job very, very well. Then, oh well, it doesn't have a viewfinder, but you get used to it, the battery is small but just remember to turn it off if you don't use it immediately and it turns on again in an instant. To be picky, the lack of a filter could cause dust to enter the lens, but there are ultra-thin adhesive filters, and also well-made lens caps. In short, a great toy.

Pros: High file quality, lightweight, compact, very customizable.

Cons: Slight overheating, short battery life

Opinion: The best compact for the street. Simply gorgeous. Beautiful files already in jpeg format. It's giving me a lot of satisfaction. I also prefer it to my Fuji. It makes you want to take pictures all the time. For me it is wonderful. It has its flaws but the merits are so many that you don't even notice it. I can only recommend this amazing compact also for those who want to start photographing and for those who do not like to shoot with smartphones.

Pros: Image quality, always with you, robust, intuitive

Cons: Not much if you know what you're buying

Opinion: The first quality to underline is that it was created only for photographing, a few things, but the right ones and put in the right place (nothing superfluous and useless). Excellent image quality, I have hdf version, personally I would have preferred with the nd filter (even if in some photographs the hdf has really surprised me, actually on the market only the gr owns it) It drives me crazy that you can't take selfies, so no adjustable screen... The viewfinder is actually missing, bringing the camera to your eye and isolating yourself from the world and seeing through a small window, is missing. But it can't fit in such a small body. I would make a version without a screen and with only the viewfinder... With WiFi, images are immediately available on smartphones or other devices. It's fun and super-performing, you keep it in your pocket and if you like to photograph you can't miss it. A truly creative object.

Pros: Amazing image quality, true pocketability, analog feel, solid construction, total discretion.

Cons: autonomy to be improved, lack of viewfinder (but you understand the meaning).

Opinion: The GR IIIx isn't just a camera – it's a state of mind. It's the one you keep in your pocket even when you think you don't want to photograph, and instead something is calling you. Shoot in an instant, with a dry and silent shot, you feel invisible. The 40mm forces you to look better, to choose, to tell. It is a human, natural, discreet gaze. Snap focus is practical poetry: you set the distance and shoot at the right time, without thinking. It never puts you between you and reality, on the contrary, it accompanies you like a silent accomplice. The files are beautiful, full, malleable, and have that flavor that resembles film: if not for the appearance, for the way they lead you to experience photography. The only real limit is the battery, which lasts a short time, but a spare one in your pocket is enough. No viewfinder, but honestly I don't miss it. GR is a philosophy: essential, fast, always ready. For me it has become the camera of everyday life, of truth. And when I come home with a photo that speaks to me, I know that she was there, silently, in my pocket. In short, for those who really love to photograph, it is a small jewel.

Pros: Small, handy, build quality, indiscreet

Cons: Nothing if you use it for what it was created

Opinion: I have the GRIIIx, I've been using it since it came out. Its field of use is varied, but it has been created and optimized to be used for street photos. Its build quality is immediately felt once you pick it up, it is robust, it is a real compact fits anywhere. For the type of photos I take, the 40mm gives me the opportunity to be even more invisible to people, it has an amazing quality, it churns out beautiful files. The Snap Shot feature makes her a real killer at capturing photos without being seen. The optical viewfinder is not needed as much as you don't need a folding screen either, you get used to it almost immediately. The machine is turned on in an instant, it is lightning and it is its strong point. Sit points focus and shoot in two seconds doesn't let you miss the right moment. The battery has the right duration, I keep a spare one in my pocket but most of the time it stays in my pocket. They say that it heats up, it gets hot if you keep it on all the time, which in my opinion is useless, it is so fast to turn on (a matter of a second and it is ready), that it makes it useless to keep it on. Dust in the sensor, it is true it could enter, dust but with a little care it can be avoided and if you do not avoid the problem it is marginalized in the post-production phase. Money well spent
