![]() | Canon EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM Pros: Stabilization, optical performance, compact and lightweight. Cons: I unlock the lens to be able to photograph, but you get used to it. Opinion: Excellent lens practically given away together with the M5 purchase kit. The yield calculating the value is excellent, you can do street or take it to the sea and in the mountains without problems given the lightness, it is equivalent to a 24-72 in full format, the only flaw at 45 mm is a bit dark but only if you photograph in low light conditions. Excellent value for money, those who have an M system should hold on to it and place the 22mm f/2 next to it. sent on March 20, 2025 |
![]() | Canon EF-M 22mm f/2 STM Pros: Construction, brightness, sharpness, portability. Cons: nothing. Opinion: I was undecided whether to take this or the EF 24mm canon. F/2.8, in the end I chose the 22mm. because it protrudes less than the 24mm. + adapter. It is an excellent lens that on my M5 really becomes a winning pair to take on vacation or street. In a kit M should not be missing. It suffers a bit of flare, but the merits are superior to the defects. Highly recommended. sent on July 21, 2021 |
![]() | 7artisans 50mm f/1.8 Pros: Nothing Cons: All Opinion: Bought on Amazon with Canon M attachment for my M5 and arrived in its elegant black box I looked cute with its smooth dials and un snappless diaphragms. Already the diaphragms, my specimen did not function the diaphragm and the machine did not start making it completely unusable. Too bad because I was intrigued by the 12 slats and I was anticipating using it for portraits. Interesting the story of the 7Artisans who found this brand of goals, but I think they need to improve quality control. sent on August 31, 2020 |
![]() | Kenko Pro 300 DGX 1.4x Pros: Robustness, image quality, cost, maintains automation. Cons: I'd say nothing. Opinion: Kenko, part of the Tokina Group, is a guarantee of quality. I mainly use it paired with the Canon 70-200 f4 IS USM L, it loses a stop, but that's fine, it would also lose it with the original Canon series III. I don't notice significant image decays and it seems robust and well built. I have been using it since 2014 and I noticed that on Kenko's official website, it is still in production, while on Juzaphoto no, why? sent on April 26, 2020 |
![]() | Canon EF 50mm f/2.5 Macro Pros: Sharpness, brightness, lightness, sophisticated optical design. Cons: Noisy autofocus. Opinion: Every now and then I go back to photograph with this little gem snubbed by many. The optical yield is excellent and can be used as standard on FF and medium canvases on Aps-c where it becomes an 80 mm. great for portraits. On macro photos with not too small subjects I subscribe to the Canon EF12 II reaching discrete results, even if I am not a fan of the macro. Brava Canon for taking it out of production, making it a unique object for his optical design. sent on April 22, 2020 |
![]() | Leica Q2 Pros: maniacal Construction., brand charm, objective quality, simplicity of use. Cons: I can't afford It Opinion: I tried it at the Leica Store in Rome for an hour in the rain. What to say, already after the first shots I understood that I had in my hands an object so desired by many including me, which was a fear also for the fact that I took alone with the neck a compact 4800 euros. Immediately after the first shots I came into tune with Q2 and I discovered the ease of its use. Interesting frames for cropping 35/50/75. Excellent for Street, you have to get close to the subject, in fact you have to enter the subject, rediscovering the fascination of photography of the past. Charming bewitching. sent on March 29, 2019 |
![]() | Canon EOS M5 Pros: Portability, performance, compatibility with Canon EF-EF-S lenses via adapter, construction. Cons: Battery Life (I think it depends on the touchscreen of the screen, maybe it is better to deactivate). Opinion: Purchased on the Internet at an advantageous price, next to the old 60D and EOS lenses that I possess, as a second body. I like it, it is light and manageable and I chose it prefering it to the M50 that has in addition the 4k and more points of focus, but a constructive look more plasticoso. In my Opinion among the Canon Aps-C mirrorless, is the best. sent on February 17, 2019 |
![]() | Canon 60D Pros: Ergonomics, build quality, orientable screen Cons: At the moment no one, except the weight. Opinion: Purchased in 2013, I still don't feel the need to change it. Using L-series lenses is spectacular. Many complain about the few autofocus points, nine, for me are too many, I use only the central one and I find myself wonderful. Better the 60d, than other entry-level cameras, which in hand look like toys. The 60d gives an impression of solidity that reassures. Some complain about the 18 mpx, believing them insufficient, in my opinion instead being beautiful wide they are wonderful. sent on March 27, 2017 |
![]() | Panasonic Lumix LX100 Pros: Well-built, solid, excellent image quality, performance Cons: High accessory price. But on the internet I found the original Panasonic lens cap with re-entering slats that works great, at 18 euros. Beware of those who were interested remember that with this accessory it is not possible to mount the filters, not even the slim. Opinion: I use it to make street photography or not to carry the Canon 60d with all the lenses. I must say that it satisfies me very much, with all its manual controls and its retro appearance. The fixed lens zoom Leica Vario Summilux 24-75mm. Churns out beautiful pictures, detailed, and saturated enough. Let's not forget that it is twin of the Leica D-Lux which has the same cmos sensor four thirds, the same lens, very detailed electronic viewfinder, stabilizer. 4k video, wi-fi-nfc. Now that the LX100 II version is out, which doesn't add anything meaningful to the first version, it's even cheaper. I have not encountered any dust problems on the sensor, as described by others, despite using it since 2016. sent on March 29, 2016 |
![]() | Olympus OM-D E-M10 Pros: Cute, compact, stabilized Cons: the optical not up kit (14 / 42mm EZ + 40 / 150mm) Opinion: Purchased on the internet and returned after three hours, because the 14/42 EZ optic offered too much resistance when it was attached to the camera body, (but the quality controls they make them in Olympus?). In addition, the 40-150 has a really poor appearance, with the bayonet in plastic and a lightness of toy. I replaced it with a Panasonic Lumix LX100 with fixed zoom lens Leica Vario Summilux 24-75 f1,7-2,8. Another story! sent on March 29, 2016 |
![]() | Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Pros: Fast autofocus, ring stabilizer, good build quality, compactness. Cons: Opening 4/5.6, the barrel stretches if the lens is brought upside down. Opinion: Discreet all-rounder zoom from which you can draw good shots (depends on the skill of the photographer). It suffers from chromatic aberration, and distortions at the minimum focal point, however easily corrected. It is easily found on the internet at 230/250 euros and in my opinion it is a good deal. Needless to turn towards optics that cost twice as much, the result would be similar. And then if we look at optics like the canon 16/35 f2.8 series L II USM, it also highlights chromatic aberrations around 16mm, despite the cost between 1500/1800 euros. If you happen to try it, look at the results with your own eyes without listening to certain "professors". I noticed that with the "universal" lampshade aesthetically identical to the original, it suffers from vignette to the focal of 17mm. while the original Canon EW-73B does not. Is that why it costs over 30 euros? Despite using it since 2010 it has not given me any problem to the flex. sent on January 08, 2016 |
![]() | Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM Pros: Fast Autofocus, Stabilizer, Light, Tropicalized Cons: Stabilizer a little noisy and ugly lampshade. Opinion: I update this opinion to reiterate what has already been written and add that with the release of the Series II, it has become more convenient on the second-hand market and also on the new one being there are still a few specimens around. Light and unwieldy, sharp even at full opening, it is carefully constructed, the new Series II model nothing adds or takes away from it. If you want to make a deal, buy it, you won't regret it! Now I also use it on the EOS M5, coupled with manageable and compact for portability and quality. sent on February 20, 2014 |
