![]() | Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II USM Pros: Sharpness and detail, robustness, troicalizzazione, solidity, stabilizer 4-stops, great location Dials MAF and zoom, brightness and constant aperture. Cons: Nobody Opinion: After four months of use I can feel very pleased to have purchased quest'obbiettivo. Having passed the Tamron 70-300 VC USD to the famous canon 70-200 IS II the jump was huge. The optical quality is heard and than my old Zoom there's just no comparison: 70-200 this is absolutely the lens sharpest I've ever tried, even better than the excellent Canon 70-300 L or 400 f /5.6. Already by f / 2.8 the sharpness is excellent and f / 5 to the maximum, although you have to make a crop of 100% to understand the differences. The stabilizer of four stop plays its job and allows images that are crisp and blur-free even at 1 / 30th of a second or less. The solidity is another big plus point of this lens. Sure, it weighs a ton, but I can not understand the complaints due to its weight, because of better do not think we could do, being un'obbiettivo stabilized and moreover opening constant f / 2.8! I think if youbuy an objective factors such as the weight and its price should be known and taken into account before buying, to know, at least, what you go against. Having said that you feel the strength and solidity of the objective, which seems to be built to withstand even the most adverse conditions. I personally tried in the mountains with dense fog at temperatures below zero and in the pouring rain in June, but the goal, thanks to the weather sealing, has not given me any problems whatsoever as, for example, was the Tamron in the same conditions. The position of the rings of MAF and zoom are also put in a great location, where the weight is balanced correctly. Needless to say, then, that the constant aperture f / 2.8 helps a lot, especially when working with animals. Before you buy I doubt whether prefer this one 100-400 IS II and actually if I would serve a diaphragm so open and its little PDC in nature. Well now I feel happy to aver made this choice because even diaphragm so open is not a problem to work with animals, just only that you evaluate the situation well shooting. Finally I put in against "No" even though I'm a bit 'of problems with this view we've had them. In fact, the IS occasionally made strange noises and protracted. However, after the second tour assistance, at least until now, the noise is not reappeared. According to even hear the opinion of other people and users who own the aforementioned optical them have never had such problems, so my should have been an isolated case and therefore does not consider it necessary to add to this against my problema.rnDetto what advice strongly optics, especially those who travel reportage and portraits although I think it should not be missing in the kit of a good nature photographer. ![]() | Lowepro Flipside 200 Pros: Easy to carry, light weight, price, right number of pockets and accessories. Cons: Little room for non-photographic material, inconvenient if you have to take and store their own material repetitively. Opinion: I used this photo backpack on countless occasions starting from safari in the Masai Mara to the winter hiking in the Dolomites. The backpack is sturdy, well-built and gives a feeling of absolute strength (has protected my precious goals impact on the ice due to my fall on a frozen river in Trentino!). Inside there may be more than 3.2 goals a camera body. I personally took me a 650D with 100-400 mounted and now I use it to hold the Samyang 14mm plus the 70-200mm IS II with the canon lens hood. On the outside there may be a tripod as the manfrotto befree, or a monopod any. Given the price I highly recommend it, even if it is quite uncomfortable for sessions photo hunt, having only the rear opening for access to the photographic material. The latter, however, could be very effective as a theft prevention measure in airports or abroad. Furthermore, another inconvenience is the fact that can not becarry other items such as food and drink in addition to the pictures, but we know that after all, considering the price, you can not have tutto.rnResiste quite well in rain and bad weather (I speak from personal experience) .rnMolto recommended, Mark: 9RN sent on June 28, 2015 |
![]() | Manfrotto Pixi Pros: Rugged, lightweight and easy to handle, materials, price. Cons: The first few times can be a bit difficult to fine tune the ball head, but after you get used to. Opinion: Bought two weeks ago and tried it for a few hours in the house and for some video footage I feel satisfied with the results. The manfrotto pixi looks like a small tripod from a lot of potential. First of all, unable to hold up well a canon 650D with a Tamron 70-300 mounted above (1.3kg), even when it is at maximum focal length, which is not bad for a tripod built in order to hold and compact smartphone. Of course, in extreme cases it is always better to put one leg under the lens so it does not fall forward because of excessive weight, but only if you use wide angle lenses you can do without these devices. However, it is his tripod as functional character that impressed me the most (strange thing), but never its use as a support handle for shooting video, often holding his breath, if the lens is not equipped with stabilization is created the annoying effect of the rough, but with support like that I did not have so many problems in this regard. In short, a small tripod, light, rock-solid and compatto that you put it in your pocket and not even you know it, what more could you want? rnConsigliatissimo, rating: 9.75 / 10 sent on October 19, 2014 |
![]() | Canon PowerShot SX500 IS Pros: Very compact, lightweight, stbilizzazione integrated 16 mega pixels, decent image quality for a sensor 1 / 2.3 ", 4.3-129 mm 30x zoom (24-720mm equiv of FF), quality / price ratio. Cons: Image quality if you want to make cuts to improve the composition or to isolate a subject, a few areas Auto Focus sometimes unusable, maximum ISO 1600 file unusable beyond ISO 400-800, battery life, video quality enough low, noticeable loss of sharpness at maximum focal length, AC not very contained mainly TA. Opinion: I know this machine for the past three years, even though I really used only on rare occasions and for no longer than ten days. And 'one of my favorite compact. The image quality for photos of the whole or at least for images without any crop is good enough, the sensor of 16 megapixels gives discrete and well detailed images as long as you do not go beyond the ISO 400; here in fact the camera loses a lot of its potential shooting files ultra noisy, which, not being RAW, undergo the architects of the De-Noise in the room, and are thus deprived of many native image details. Another good thing about this toy is that it has a 30x zoom (24-720 mm of FF !!!) which is great if you want to make small releases but you do not want to bring the macingno a reflex. With this equipment you can easily take panoramic photos is that of fauna, without change and replacement of targets that require ML and reflex. You also have the whole body in a lightweight (340 grams are littleC if you want a camera that replaces your reflex in short outings with the family, or if you prefer a compact camera with a large and bulky machine with interchangeable objectives, requiring a good post for images, which costs little more, this is the right choice for voi.rnVoto: 8.75 / 10 sent on September 03, 2014 |
![]() | Tamron SP 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC USD Pros: Af ultrasonic, stabilizer, sharpness, quality / price ratio, bokeh, beautiful hood compared to the canon of 100-400 and 70-300L, build quality. Cons: Missing limiter distances of MAF, stabilizer noisy, IQ at TA 250 mm up, lack of tripod ring. Opinion: I own this tamron past two and a half months, a short time compared to others who have reviewed it, but enough to write this opinion. At first I was torn between the purchase the Tamron or the most popular Canon 70-200 f / 4 is and is not, however, telling me that I would have used on countless occasions and genres I decided to opt for the latter. Bought at a price of 280 Euros, quest'obbiettivo certainly not disappoint the expectations showing a surprisingly good sharpness diaphragm key personnel as f / 8-11, beautiful bokeh, best of 100-400 canon and almost comparable to its namesake series L, and showing off a system of ultrasonic AF ring (the best in all the optics in my opinion) as well as with a stabilizer that earns on occasion four stops in the use of time (you can take safely to 1/30 to 300 mm ). Although considerable pro convinced me all'aquisto of quest'ottoca, really cheap, the lens also has some small defect. First, the AF system: some talk of one of the best performing sisteI auto focus existing, but often I found myself waiting also 3:00 to 4:00 seconds (difficult shooting conditions) because agganciasse the subject well. In part, this lack is due to the absence of a limiting distances of MAF which greatly affect the speed, in fact automatic fire must try to focus on a subject at a distance range that starts at 1.5 meters and goes up to ' infinite. Despite this to happen in the hours when there is little sunlight, since the lens in question is a relatively lete "dark", this addition would allow MAF a much better performance if not twice as fast. Another flaw, in my opinion, is the noise level of stabilization. As soon as you turn it around for a second before shooting the viewfinder of the camera shakes and you hear a mechanical noise quite annoying that lasts when you hold down the shutter button halfway. Despite this, however, after a while you do get used. Alsothe sharpness to TA is another factor that is the subject of a thousand threads. From 70 mm up to 200-250 optics it returns detailed images even at f / 4-5.6 despite better still if closed by a pair of stop. Speech is far from 250mm up where there is a considerable drop in IQ and where, for sharp pictures and detailed, you have to close up to f / 11. Apart from these shortcomings there are other defects that do not affect the optics in itself such as the lack of a tripod mount ring (according to me superfluous given that good tripod support it also extended to the maximum focal length) and the construction relatively plasticky ( plasticosamente but good for a lens of the medium-low) .rnIn definitely not recommend this to those who aim only sports or nature photography (rather wait and take a good used or the 100-400 70-200 usm is not) but I recommend instead to those seeking a lens for all uses and in sostituzuione the classic optic kit APS-C, or at least to those who can not afford purchasing a series L. rnEDIT (22 aprile 2015) I recently bought a 70,200 IS II. The review, after trying this perspective more professional, remains valid and I repeat that the Tamron AF behaves very well, almost like the mythical toed without limiters distances of MAF, though, once you have entered these, there storia.rnVoto: 8.75 / 10 sent on August 26, 2014 |
![]() | Canon 650D Pros: Image quality, good yield up to ISO 1600, ergonomic body, touch screen, 5fps burst, 9 focus points of which 9 cross, (something still a entry level) screen swivel. Cons: Materials, steps away from a stop in ISO ISO manuals, dial modes much and unnecessarily "overcrowded", IQ high sensitivity, low resistance to adverse weather conditions (humidity, snow, rain), time buffer, lack of white balance manual. Opinion: I purchased this camera following the breakup of the electronic components of my old 600D, a veteran of four months spent photographing continuously. At first I was very torn between the home buy a better camera, the 70D type (only serious alternative to this series, however, already quite advanced) or to riaquisto the 600D. The fateful moment came before departing for Kenya, when my supplier has assured me that the right choice for me was this machine. It is now three months since the operation and I can certainly say that it was the right choice. Let's start with the pros in detail: rn (1) Image Quality. Although the statistics show that the 600D is slightly more developed under this factor the 650D is certainly not back showing off a 18.5-megapixel sensor that gives sharp and well contrasted with the objectives of the medium-low livello.rn (2) high yield ISO. It holds up well to ISO 400, at ISO 800 there is a slight grain but dry, fine and easily correctable, especially with the gooduce. As for the values ??as high as ISO 1600 and 3200 can be easily used for photos destined to end up on the web or for small prints, the image quality here is good despite a slight loss of detail. I personally have never gone beyond the 3200.rn (3) ergonomic body. Having tried the 600D, the 100D, and 5D Mark II say that for me this is very good on the factor ergonomico.Cade perfectly in hand, the buttons are all in the right place and there is a wide freedom of control on the various buttons For me it would be useful also a display screen settings like the one on the cover mount cameras more advanced (60-70D), but it would be asking too much for this reflex.rn (4) Display. About the touch screen I can only speak well, is a technology that has been recently applied to the most sophisticated SLR canon and, despite being just became part of the cameras, it seems to me an excellent addition, with almost nothing that can not is already foreffect. The fact that then this is also tilting of 180 degrees is especially useful when trying to get different perspectives. So a big plus point that distinguishes this reflex from the typical entry level as the 1100-1200D.rn (5) Other specifications. This camera also features a burst of 5 fps, many for a APS-C medium-low. Obviously, however, it does not enter the Olympus of the blasts as the reduced size, since it is up to 7DII with 10 frames per second, but it's still a good result if you want to get a good shot naturalistic. Among other things, we also find the classic viewfinder has 9 AF points, but 9 of them cross (3.4 in most of the 600D 5.6) that provides for accurate focus despite the reduced availability of punti.rnPassando cons instead: rn (1) Materials. Although the 650D looks good aesthetically and is very ergonomic materials I find them a little by entry level, category to which non appartiene.rn (2) Mode Dial. I find thisdial mode of another point against the 650D. There are an infinite number of settings and different settings which I think most of the owners of this camera will use it and not just once. So I can understand 3:00 to 4:00 automatic modes but ten are way too many. Furthermore, some are just ridiculous and give the feeling of having to do with a camera looking entry level.rn4) sensor. Despite being a fan of this sensor now evolved performance and I think it is still possible to improve the high sensitivity without getting already at ISO 800 noise a little annoying, especially in light conditions difficili.rnrnIn conclusion I think this camera is aimed at an audience of advanced amateurs or at least to those looking for a serious approach to photography, to others who want a camera body just to take some pictures or sporadic fotoricordo recommend more the 1100D or 1200D, with the same sensor but more affordable. Instead those seeking the famous "quantum leap" from a 500-600D or a 100DI highly recommend you to evaluate the alternative of a 70D, now one of the best in the world aps-c canon.rnCosa I wanted more from this camera? First, a better performance at high sensitivity and the ability to select the ISO steps 1/3 stop, a dial to select with all mod creative and a few automatic, some point of focus in more, to get at least 11 and a screen for displaying settings on calotta.rnMolto consigliata.rnVoto: 9.2 / 10 sent on August 11, 2014 |
![]() | Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM Pros: From 100 to 400 in a single optical system to pump much faster than the classical ring, sharpness up to 300 to TA, solid and sturdy tripod mount ring very useful, relatively small and easily transportable. Cons: Opinion: First "serious" lens to me I used rented for eight days in order to photograph animals in a safari in kenya lasted 5 days. What can I say, I was very impressed with this light dall'efficenza whereas now has 17 years'; very good sharpness already at room temperature (from 100 to 300 mm) improves significantly when stopped down to f / 7.1-8. The pump system I found it quite versatile for action shots, although, as indeed many, I prefer the normal zoom ring. The usm is very quiet (as you would expect from a lens of this kind) and fast, especially with the limiting distances enabled. It looks robosto and well built, with materials qualità.rnPer As far as the cons say that, in my opinion the locking ring, it is very inconvenient, but really as uncomfortable, not only in fact rotates with the focus ring to focus if the latter is not holding it steady with one hand while turning the other, but requires the use of both hands to be unlocked, which keeps you upemployed to interact with the lens when instead you could take beautiful photos. Very functional idea would be to insert another lever (such as that of the SI "on / off") to make the locking of the pump system is much more versatile and efficient. There are also three other factors that must also be considered before the purchase of the aforesaid optical system, such as the stabilizer of 1st generation ensures that barely two to three stop advantage, the absence of sealing (often photographing before the rains I had to put away the lens even if there were two lions back to the jeep, for fear that the optics should fail) and the softness of the images in TA with a range of focal lengths greater than 350mm. Finally, other defects, in my opinion, very superficial, I'm in the hood without plastic finish, the tripod ring removable only by the detachment of the camera body and the diaphragm relatively dark (superficial because if you want more you should steer on optical level much higher as the 120-300 os hsm sigma) .rnIn definitiva I was very pleased with the rental of this perspective that allowed me to take pictures that would be impossible. Rating: 8.7 / 10 seems too little for a lens, it is not without its flaws, but that has allowed many beautiful photos to forum users. In my opinion it is a view that if taken at the price of EUR 1000-900, also used, deserves a lot of attention. rnVoto 9.5 / 10 sent on June 25, 2014 |
![]() | Canon 600D Pros: Ergonomics, light weight, adjustable monitor, picture quality and price (which is really undersold now out of production) Cons: A few focus points (though nevertheless speak of an entry-level) within the ISO relatively average and noise of the sensor. Opinion: I own this relfex a few weeks ago and I must say it was one of the best choices I could find on the market. Personally, as a first camera (SLR), I am very pleased, as this camera boasts a 18-megapixel sensor, which, I must say, produces files of reasonable quality compared to other entry level for not much money (we on the 430 euro on the European market and 370 on the foreign market, including a lens 18-55mm of course) and some small, but useful, added to a machine body itself already solid and ergonomic, such as, for example, a display Adjustable (really useful if you want to take pictures at ground level or at least if you want to have a different perspective of the photos to be framed). rnPer regarding the cons, I can not be considered an expert in photography, since I'm a beginner, but I still noticed some rumorisità sensor at high ISO, a few points of AF (nine are not many if you want to frame a moving subject), not to mention finally the skinny range of ISO reporttively within the media.rnSommando all then, despite these minor flaws the Canon 600d remains one of the best entry level value for money, and a good camera. Personally a 8.5/10 rating and recommend it to all those who, like me, are getting closer to the fantastic world of photography. sent on January 06, 2014 |
