![]() | Canon RF 24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM Pros: Small, economical, programmable bezel, focal range Cons: Image quality, brightness. Opinion: The worst lens I owned. Except only weight and dimensions. Create anonymous images that clip the wings of the ff of the r series turning them into compact dele in my opinion. The aperture that closes by zooming in also makes manual photography cumbersome, always having to correct the iso up to the stars indoors. With its price or a little more you can buy the old but much better from every point of view ef 24 105 L used. sent on February 24, 2023 |
![]() | Canon EF 24-70mm f/4 L IS USM Pros: Size, construction, sharpness, macro, distortion, stabilization Cons: "Solo" 70mm Opinion: I also owned 24 70 2.8 first and second series and 24 105 (two copies) then resold. I am not a lover of all-rounder zooms but I have to say that this 24 70 surprised me and is the only one I didn't want to resell. The smallest in the series (and it is a plus not least), impressed me for the little distortion present at 24 mm (unlike the 24 105), for the excellent overall sharpness (to be approached and very much the 24 70 2.8II) and for the excellent Macro function that absurdly makes it the most all-rounder in the series. I didn't experience field curvature issues for the photos I take. I can't find a real minus the f4 iris, when I need open diaphragms I just snap bright lenses. For me, a really good compromise. sent on October 27, 2020 |
![]() | Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 Macro IS STM Pros: Small, cheap, versatile, macro Cons: Noisy Autofocus, slows down when switching to Macro mode Opinion: A lens that I bought strategically for weddings, sacrificing the L series first series. The idea of having a lens that would allow me to close up on rings and details interested me a lot. I'm happy possessor with some distinctions. I find the overall sharpness good, the operating speed good in most cases except when it does not find fire and stretches in Macro mode. It's still noisy compared to a traditional USM. For the rest at the tactile level I like the new coating, small and chubby at the right point, attached to the r without having to mount excellent adapters, the combo on the shoulder does not even feel. If you accept the minuses and if you need a 35 that with the macro becomes a 360-degree handyman, great choice. sent on October 08, 2020 |
![]() | Canon EF 135mm f/2.0 L USM Pros: Sharpness, bokeh, size. Cons: Just a little 'aberration. Opinion: Purchased almost by chance in a kit that already boasted 85L 70 200 and 2.8, using it has become indispensable. Much easier of 85 by the diaphragm, a focal length that I prefer since it crushes better plans. It really makes a lot, from portraits to full figures away. Perfect from the point of view of the image, crystal clear already open and with a perfect bokeh from the technical point of view. When you open the files to the pc never disappoints. Very highly recommended. sent on January 14, 2014 |
![]() | Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L USM Pros: Very defined, a handyman, a guarantee. Cons: not easy to use in all circumstances. Opinion: Compared to 50L much more homogeneous in performance and more predictable. Excellent sharpness even open, the bokeh gives something compared to big brother since the aperture and focal length. You feel like you have a zoom lens attached to the car, it becomes a bit 'of everything. Small and lightweight, you must always consider that deforms when used with close subjects. The've found one of the lenses that I have used more three-dimensional. sent on January 14, 2014 |
![]() | Canon EF 50mm f/1.2 L USM Pros: Poetic, very crisp when closed, AF. Cons: Bokeh horrendous at times, faint open. Opinion: The most difficult task I have ever used. A yield erratic, almost moody. It can transform an ordinary image into poetry as a significant ruin with its flaws that sometimes become added value. I speak of the lack of sharpness open, but in particular its bokeh very particular that transforms the pictures according to the light and the background, hard and nervous sometimes, poetic other. Not the've never understood and I sold it at the end of the regretted it. sent on January 14, 2014 |
![]() | Canon EF 17-40mm f/4.0 L USM Pros: Construction, yield, size, focal range. Cons: Distortion, slight lack of definition. Opinion: And a lens almost inevitable for those seeking a professional wide angle without spending a fortune. Ensures good picture quality, excellent construction and space at an affordable price to all (the less expensive L series). Well marketable, in line with the much more expensive 16 35 2.8 as sharpness. Loses a stop but for most applications in which it is intended is not a problem. A must, perhaps requires a revision, hoping canon does not set it then absurd prices as the latest releases. sent on January 14, 2014 |
