![]() | Nikon Z8 Pros: Ergonomics, Video, Burst, Autofocus, Customization, illuminated keys, night profile Cons: High noise at high ISOs, overheating cards, battery life Opinion: I've had it for some time, it's a complex machine that once seventy is due to its own style gives a lot of satisfaction. It's really exciting to go out with her in your hands, but that doesn't take away from the fact that she has several flaws. Especially the overheating of the boards, this is really very annoying, it forces us to take out the boards to cool them down. I don't understand how many don't talk about it, I tried two, and I found the defect in both. Yesterday morning 16/09/2024 I went out at 5 AM and it was 12 degrees and yet after a series of gusts and a 2-minute video in 8k 10bit the alarm came out. The machine has never turned off so far, but I have always stopped to cool the cards, I have never continued until I died. Another bad thing is the noise at high ISO, in some situations it is embarrassing, if we take machines from 10 years ago such as the d700 or the d3 they did not have all these artifacts. Mah.... However, the autofocus alone covers all the defects. The only thing given these imperfections I would have lowered the price which for me is high. sent on September 18, 2024 |
![]() | Nikon Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR Pros: Sharpness, weight, AF, value for money, stabilizer Cons: Not S-series, only 1 function key Opinion: I've had this lens for 1 month and I haven't taken it off since I put it on. For those like me who take photos and videos, often work freehand and walk a lot, it's really the ultimate optics. Handy with fast AF and good sharpness. The only downside is that it's not S-series, but that would have changed the price quite a bit. Also the function keys only only 1 plus the dial. But we're looking for the nitty-gritty, for what a 600mm tele costs this is a really good lens. Used in DX mode it becomes a 900mm f6.3. Nikon's 600mm f6.3 costs £7,500. If you also add the 2x go to 1800mm f13 stabilized. What more do you want? sent on April 20, 2024 |
![]() | Nikon Z7 II Pros: Sensor, dynamic range, chrome capability Cons: Battery life, Not always perfect, electronics hesitant Opinion: Excellent machine, the only flaw is the battery not very performing (like all Mirrorless) but above all the electronics not reliable as could be the mechanics on the SLR. The reliability of a SLR will not be found on the Mirrorless of any brand. For the rest excellent landscape and portrait machine. Lightweight, with extensive dynamic range. sent on May 11, 2023 |
![]() | Nikon Z6 II Pros: ISO, dynamic range, customizations, electronic shutter, wifi connections, focus points, handling Cons: Card counter, limited tilting display, the transition from viewfinder to display impales. Opinion: I tried it in all situations, obviously it's a great car but it has several flaws that they couldn't solve. The monitor is scandalous does not turn totally even horizontally so you have problems even shooting from below or above. The tab door keeps opening by itself. The transition from viewfinder to display many times impals and there is no way to make it work and you stay there without being able to shoot. It happened to me with salamanders, not being able to bring the eye to the viewfinder I absolutely needed the monitor, but I got stuck and I had to shoot "ass" obviously the photo was blurred. This problem was already present on series 1 and has not been solved.... Very serious serious, we hope for a new firmware. AF works well but don't compare it to D6 and Z9. The recognition of the face works well the animal leave it alone. sent on November 06, 2022 |
![]() | Nikon D750 Pros: Construction, weight, ergonomics, flash pop up, iso Cons: Slow AF, swivel monitor, video Opinion: I took it as a replacement for my old D3. I thought it was a real upgrade of the legendary D700, which I still have with me, but I was wrong. Great value for money, one of the best deals maybe even today. But a machine with too many flaws, an all-rounder that in the end does not excel at anything. I would give between 7 and 8 to all the compacts but really I would have expected more. I just exchanged it for a Z6II hoping that this is worthy of expectations. However machine that abundantly exceeds the sufficiency. sent on October 13, 2022 |
![]() | Meyer Gorlitz Trioplan 50mm f/2.9 Pros: Bubble bokeh, construction, sharpness from f8 up, great background when used for portraits Cons: Very difficult to focus at full aperture. Optics of other times, not for everyone. Opinion: Fantastic optics regarding macro photography and portraiture. It is not easy to use due to its manual focus, double bezel and its very accentuated TA blur. I often use it in macro photography combined with extension tubes, with which I transform it into a full-fledned Macro optics. If you can buy it, even if it is now very rare. sent on November 03, 2021 |
![]() | Nikon D3 Pros: Solidity, keeping high ISO BREATHTAKING, Burst, viewfinder Cons: Slow AF in low light, the multi a bit uncomfortable when holding vertically, Life View Opinion: I bought it a month ago, used, just 1500 € 16,000 shots. The body, however, has 7 years of life and I was terrified by this. Their fingers crossed in the case I have to say that it is a good SLR, I used the sea, the Alps, in a baptism in a church in the dark, and for nature photos, I must say that it is simply amazing. There are not yet able to take less than ISO 800, in church I worked at 2000 ISO with amazing results. The only drawback is the focus in dark places, but this also depends on the objectives and the contrast of the point you want to framing. For me it is 9.5. Also I got it because it's just a camera, does not have the video for luck. The only negative is in the multi wield when upright, I have big hands and I find it hard to select AF points. Live view improved, but I use it a little. sent on May 01, 2014 |
![]() | Nikon D300s Pros: Tropicalization, solid body, AF, Ergonomics, Exposure Meter Cons: Video, video controls, very high noise Opinion: I've had it three years, strong practical and precise as only Nikon can be. Great autofocus, great burst, you have the buttons all the necessary options directly on the body without having to open the menu. Excellent exposure with the same three choices. The only downside is the noise that is very noticeable at high ISO. In the video is downright outrageous. I had taken for this new video feature, but it is useless if it is not strong with daytime running lights also lacks the manual controls over the video. sent on March 02, 2014 |
