samyang_8fisheye_f2-8_iiSamyang 8mm f/2.8 UMC Fisheye II

Pros: Excellent construction quality perceived, lightness, robustness, it is used in hyperfocal and is all in focus, sharpness at the top.

Cons: Metric scale below 1.5 meters. Being manual it is used in stop down, which displaces a little those who are used to the whole opening ... for me on the other hand there is nothing else.

Opinion: Having kept the now devalued price, but not for quality, my old Sony Nex7, I replaced the Fisheye Samyang 12mm f/2.8 (heavy and very bulky also for the adapter ring) that I mounted on the Sony A7r2, with the Samyang 8mm f/2.8 UMC Fisheye which, in addition to being very light, has the specific attachment for Sony E. Now I keep it always mounted on the old Nex7 APS-C. I must say that the results are of absolute excellence and do not regret the quality of the FF or the previous perspective. Highly recommended.

sony_a7r_iiSony A7r II

Pros: Fabulous sensor, build quality, excellent viewfinder, very affordable value for money especially now that it is used around € 1000 or a little more including batteries. It's like buying a Ferrari for the price of a small car!

Cons: For me no cons. I still own a Nex7 equipped with APSC optics, which always uses the same light and inexpensive batteries and I must say as an amateur landscaper, that I have never felt so much the problem of their durability ... I always have some spare ones with me, but I rarely had to replace them.

Opinion: Purchased used recently I replaced the SonyA7II, which already satisfied me, with this Sony A7RII ... I must say that after the first shots I was amazed by the quality of the files. I tried to shoot both in Raw and in extrafine and, with great satisfaction, the jpeg files also proved to be excellent. The lens I mainly use is the Sony 24-105mm F4 OSS zoom and, thanks to Juza's tests, also the superlight Samyang 18mm F2.8 AF that I find excellent and adequate to the wonderful sensor of this mirrorless. I tried to crop some files over half and the quality always remains surprisingly high. With this model we are at levels of excellence and I think it can also stand comparison with the new productions much more expensive, even at Sony and, if there are any defects, they are favorably balanced by the high performance that you are able to obtain. I think I'll keep this car forever! Rating 9-10

sony_fe24-105_f4ossSony FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS

Pros: The one in my possession excels in everything and showed no flaws.

Cons: Size and weight if I mount it on the old Sony Nex7, but proportionate on the A7II which has an adequate handle.

Opinion: A truly exceptional zoom on all points of view. I did several trials with tripods and discovered a surprising sharpness, never found in the optics in my possession and in those I have had over time; I have to say even better than some fixed ones that don't have mobile groups with great excursions inside like a zoom. An all-round 24-105mm lens that allows you to take 90% of the photos and that, thanks to excellent stabilization, you rarely get unwanted move. Impeccable in construction, fast and quiet autofocus, this zoom gives images with great colors and as a focal excursion definitely beats the 24-70mm version that makes the lack of those 35mm feel too much. The cost, for the quality it offers, I think is appropriate. Recommended 9.9 rating!

samyang_12fisheyeSamyang 12mm f/2.8 ED AS NCS Fisheye

Pros: Many merits: sharpness, decidedly good perceived construction quality, weight in the norm, high cost value, flare almost absent.

Cons: Poorly frictioned focus, front lens size and its vulnerability due to impossibility of mounting security filter. With the supplied cap you can defend yourself from raindrops and dust, because practical to assemble, but being very bulky, you need a nice pocket to store it to the need.

Opinion: Recently purchased, I immediately enjoyed using it to discover its potential. I was very surprised at its quality and the reduced distortion. In landscape photos, mainly used in hyperfocal, you can totally forget about the focus for the great depth of field it offers. With the Sony a7II on M, exposure control is also easy and, once the diaphragm is chosen, the times are easily selected for correct exposure, which are also visible and controllable in the crosshairs. What to say, a great goal, recommended! For me I vote 9.5 because 10 is not given until perfectly.

sony_dsc-f828Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F828

Pros: When it came out on the market it was at the top! Enjoyable, ergonomically perfect allowed me to make perhaps the most beautiful photos. Excellent all-rounder optics. Well made, sturdy, built with high quality materials.

Cons: Small sensor, already at 400-800 ISO you see artifacts.

Opinion: Today equipped with a modern sensor (APSC) would be fantastic. I still own it and sometimes, when there is a lot of light, I want to use it... at 60 ISO still does great things. Remember that it has no stabilizations, so you shoot as you used to with film, steady hand and freediving. The weight says a lot about the materials used, a real tank.

sony_e50Sony E 50mm f/1.8 OSS

Pros: Light, compact, light, good construction quality, well rubbed the coil without jamming, stabilized, excellent sharpness ... the center is a bomb! RnNon suffers inferiority complexes with much equivalent optical emblazoned ... maybe one of the best fixed targets for the Sony A6000 and NEX7.

Cons: In my opinion nothing, even the price seems defiantly.

Opinion: Purchased to have a view from portrait, I find myself using it more as a macro, with outstanding results. The minimum focusing distance (0.39 m.), Allows you to fill the frame with subjects from 7-8 cm and quality, however, is that holding magnification while maintaining excellent definition. Photos made at distances of 1-1.5 m.di butterflies and flowers I enlarged to full screen without any great loss of definition. The purchase then an auto extension rings (among other inexpensive) from the possibility to play also on macro spinte.rnAcquisto recommended.

sony_zeiss16-70_f4Sony Vario-Tessar T* E 16-70mm f/4 ZA OSS

Pros: Lightweight, well-built mechanically, well rub the soft ferrules without jamming, compact and excellent optical performance in the center.

Cons: Edges a bit 'soft and they say a little' dear, I still have purchased new about € 680.

Opinion: A goal which I have been slow to buy, because a review not exactly flattering read in internet, remarked that too negatively the few faults that if they did. Now the 80% use cases and never leave home because your excursion covers most of the situations. I use it with Sony NEX7 and satisfies me completely with excellent results from f5.6 to f11, 16mm and 70mm wide angle is a creative even an average right canvas for reportage and street. I go often combining the Sony 55-210mm that I keep finding myself mounted on Sony in 6000, with the two bodies, the hiked focal 24mm up to 315mm with a total weight of about 1.5 kg, and no need to make engagement and disengagement with risk of dirtying the sensors. That dire..consigliato !!

sony_e55-210Sony E 55-210mm f/4.5-6.3 OSS

Pros: Objective very compact, maneuverable and lightweight. Rings of focus and zoom friction well, the build quality is excellent outside. The optical quality is controversial and somewhat surprising. In fact, using 210 mm focal length with selective focus at one meter you can do macro razor-sharp and the OSS system works fine. Supplied with lens hood and caps at a cost less than 300 euros.

Cons: Set to 55 mm focal length, and has a good resolution in the center, the edges (especially at the lower left) has a strong blur. The defect at the beginning had me stressed out and I thought about returning it, then I saw that the normal use is on top and the focal defect disappears. The brightness is not great and in poor light conditions the auto focus a little effort to find peace. With ISO AUTO the problem is almost always the solution.

Opinion: Very compact and lightweight zoom ideal for a Sony Nex-7 kit. Equipped with specific Nex electronic viewfinder because the focal length imposes almost always selective focus, almost impossible only with the screen. A lens I used a lot and still gives me great satisfaction, great for taking pictures from a distance, especially through the crowd to capture street scenes genre, also good for portrait and macro insects especially when you need fast execution. I highly recommend it for its value for money.

sony_10-18Sony E 10-18mm f/4 OSS

Pros: Excellent build quality, focus, well-wheeling without jamming as well as the zoom operation ring. My best results I have achieved at f / 8, although excellent from f / 5.6 to f/16. I have no way to express myself even more technically, but I must say that I fully satisfies. The drop in brightness and resolution at the edges is also contained at full aperture. The weight is consistent for use with the Sony Nex-7 and the other optical in my possession all Sony does not exceed 300g with lens hood and front and rear caps.

Cons: The one in my possession optical filters with diameter of 62mm, the other 49mm diameter filter mount. The price of Euro 791.99 is the highest of all the series of Sony SEL lenses for the Nex, but justified by the complexity of construction of wide-angle zoom.

Opinion: Purchased recently, I have to say that the lens has been given me great satisfaction. Used especially in the wide-angle position I was able to take some photos decidedly sharp and full of detail. At the optics are interested in purchasing an invitation to look at the photos taken by me and other photographers on this website.

sony_nex_7Sony NEX-7

Pros: I think in this area we can confirm without reservation everything said by Ltsuper61 with no small addition: the lightweight, easy handling, the handle anatomically perfect and almost compact size. The optics supplied lightweight .. I also I own four of them: And 3.5-5.6/18-55 OSS zoom, wide angle and 8.2.16, Zoom 4.5-6.3/55-210 OSS E, E 08/01/50 OSS, be aware that full of filters, lens hoods and caps plus of course the NEX7 together reach the stratospheric weight of 1,280 g. With the weight of a large SLR body only you go with a whole kit and 24 Mpx which are very respectable. Battery life even better than on the Nex-7 Nex-5 because the 'excellent electronic viewfinder reduces consumption. Today I also believe that the cost of less than 900 Euro makes it a valuable constructive acquisto.rnQualità good to very good also that of optics, with well-helices friction without jamming or irregularities scroll. Even the price is not too high, I'd say that makes them attractive to build a decent corredo.rn

Cons: The light weight of the camera body is obviously a little at the expense of robustness, the flash bracket that in the attack of the tripod .. is there anyway to say that it is absurd to insert large flash cantilever bracket, otherwise (this, however, with all the machines with the big professional cameras), loosening the mounting screws that do not bear the weight that both the insertion and removal of the same from home. Better to use a simple linear bracket fixed to the bottom plate and the connection cable. The attack of the stand may have some problems with optical non-dedicated and heavier than the E series and, as you can fit everything on this machine, it is advisable to purchase adapter rings already bearing of the tripod mount. I use old Nikon lenses that weigh three times the Nex-7 to make macros and I solved with the above adapters. Council also cover the rear screen with plastic wrap (on the Nex-5 is very spoiled) the glass might be better on the Nex-7, but do not risk it.

Opinion: 3B using a lightweight tripod (I am using a 1 kg.), Which together with the remote control (great and inexpensive that ca.7Euro advice) ensures easy portability and good conclusion stabilità.rnIn score of 9.6 out of 10 given to Sony Nex-7 seems adequate. RECOMMENDED!

sony_e16Sony E 16mm f/2.8

Pros: Lightweight, minimum size, fits in your pocket, the construction is of good quality and the sense of solidity as well. I would say excellent optical quality .. see the pictures posted helps a lot to understand the pros and cons ... if there are. The price is certainly lower the performance!

Cons: Distortion in accordance with the focal length (24 mm), for large hands may be too small (less than an adapter ring), you risk losing it in the bag.

Opinion: The Sony E 16mm f/2.8 I bought it together with the OSS zoom E 18-55mm f/3.5: 5.6 with Sony Nex-5 and, when it is mounted without a hood, the car seems there is the optics, but there 'and is doing very well! I've seen pictures taken with the Nex-7 and I must say that looks good even with the 24.0Mp sensor. I would say in conclusion that the accquisto is valuable!
