![]() | Sony FE 28-70mm f/2 GM Pros: Weight (when compared to the Canon), AF top, balanced, non-clinical like other all-rounders Cons: in such a lens anyone would say weight or absence of 24mm but for me they are not against it and therefore I would say nothing. Opinion: tried before the imminent purchase at a fair just to confirm what I already thought. I come from a Sigma 28-45mm f1.8 (which is a stratospheric lens) but when this came out I decided to sell everything and buy it. I do a lot of weddings and adv photography so he will be my perfect partner. I tried the canon several times so I already knew that I would be there, beyond this the lens proved to be really exceptional, it does not have that clinicality of the classic GM and it is good in my opinion, it has a character of its own, a soft, pleasant blur that makes every image really pleasant. It is very light (+ of the 28-45mm sigma) and above all it is more balanced, it almost seems that it weighs much much less when in reality it is just about 20gr. AF scary needless to say and extends little nothing. Sony has really made a definitive lens with a very precise soul! sent on April 11, 2025 |
![]() | Viltrox AF 16mm f/1.8 Pros: truly unbeatable value for money, very sharp already at TA, aperture ring, customizable keys, construction, screw filter attachment. Cons: af a bit slow even on a9III, lens hood with a bit "ad cazzumm" attachment but all in all for what it costs there are no cons... Opinion: Bought on Amazon for 509 euros new, I had been courting him for a while but in the end I was convinced, I needed a wide angle with a wide aperture so that I could also use it for weddings during evening dances or in any case in low light, I think it has a really unattainable value for money for other lenses of this kind, At this figure I don't think there is anything better around. Very solid construction, tropicalized, customizable keys, diaphragm ring, OLED screen like batis, very sharp... in short, in my opinion a must have! the only flaw is a bit slow in afs both on a7r4 and a9III (where obviously it makes better) but in afc nothing to say is better. sent on January 17, 2025 |
![]() | Sigma 28-45mm f/1.8 DG DN Art Pros: Excellent weight distribution, sharp, ultra-fast AF, internal zoom, f1.8 Cons: aesthetically a bit long but for now I haven't found anything else Opinion: Purchased on day one as a replacement for Sigma 28-70mm f2.8 and Zeiss 35mm f1.4, I find that for my use (mainly weddings) it is practically perfect in combination with the Sigma 85mm f1.4 DG DN. Very sharp already at TA as Sigma has accustomed us, balanced very well and you don't feel its size too much. used on a9III is a pleasure, excellent blur, the only drawback a bit long but flyable. I reserve the right to change the review in a short time and after a few more tests. Update of December 8, 2024 After several months of use I can say that this lens is really exceptional from every point of view, af almost at the level of the various GMs in circulation, sharpness of a fixed lens, fast and precise in every light situation, I am very undecided whether or not to replace it with the new sony 28-70mm f2 but for practicality I think I will, if it weren't x this I would never take it off! sent on June 22, 2024 |
![]() | Canon NewFD 85mm f/1.8 Pros: Light, razor-sharp, great performance on both film and digital. Cons: For me, no one Opinion: I had the s.s.c. version before this and I was already satisfied with it, then I had a good chance and I took this one, I have to say it exceeded all my expectations. It's a fantastic lens! I use it with satisfaction on various camera bodies including, canon a1, canon ae1, canon ae1 program, canon t80, canon t90, sony a7r3 and sony a9III along with the new fd 50mm f1.2 which I love. Razor-sharp, light, beautiful blurred, maf ring soft at the right point. For me a lens without defects. If you find it cheaply, don't miss it! sent on March 28, 2024 |
![]() | Sony A9 III Pros: FEROCIOUS af, goodbye fliker, non-existent shutter wear, improved ergonomics and so many others that it would take a month to list. Cons: Battery life compared to previous cameras, 1/80000sec in single shot only and as low as 1.8 Opinion: I received my sony a9III on January 27th, but since this is a "dead" month for the ceremonial sector, I have not yet had the opportunity to test it for weddings and obviously these first impressions of mine will be followed by others more in-depth as soon as the season starts towards the end of April, beginning of May. I've been with sony for 10 years now, I started with the very first sony a7 and then went directly to the a9 (taken on day one), it was really a revolutionary camera! From that moment I decided that I could no longer do without a camera like that, the first a9 accompanied me for 4 and a half years, then I switched to the a9II which was a really good step forward compared to the already exceptional a9 and finally as soon as I knew that the 3 with global shutter would come out I couldn't help but take it... Then I had over time the a7III and currently the a7r3 as a second body. Going back to the a9III I confess that at the beginning the iso specifications and image quality scared me a bit but once I had it in my hands I must say that I completely changed my opinion, the camera is exceptional and far exceeds my expectations. The camera body is clearly improved, the grip is more comfortable than the previous cameras and gives a feeling of greater solidity, the monitor is finally up to expectations, I think the best out there in terms of ease of use. The introduction of the c5 key was very welcome! It took me a while to customize everything coming from the old menus but it wasn't difficult and I have to say that I prefer this current one to the predecessor. As for the autofocus I have to say that I was impressed, when you think that with the last camera they have outdone themselves here they leave you speechless again... I have defined the af of this camera as "FEROCIOUS", it is precise, it does not hesitate, it shows no signs of fatigue under stress, practically infallible. A really positive thing that they finally improved is the tracking on the eyes, I have to be honest in the previous rooms it didn't make me crazy, sometimes and too often it lost the subject against the light or if the face was partially covered or from behind (and for me who do weddings it was a big problem), now instead it's perfect, He doesn't miss a beat and even with subjects cut or with his back to the back he never misses a beat! Basically, let's say that as far as the af is concerned, I'm fully satisfied. Regarding the quality of the files I can express a more than positive opinion, I did not find any deterioration compared to a9II as someone said, on the contrary! I noticed with great pleasure that the jpegs are wonderful, really bright and ready to use (I shoot mainly in raw). As for the raws, on the other hand, I find them much more malleable in terms of "workability", post-production is easier for me and I like this. Doing some tests at high iso I didn't find big differences with the a9II, I find them substantially similar and I have nothing to complain about. The choice to introduce the global shutter solved a big problem for me, the infamous fliker. Despite the excellent mechanism of a9II and other cameras to eliminate (at least partially) the problem, this solves everything upstream and therefore I will not have to worry anymore (finally!). I will be able to shoot safely in any situation and above all I will not have a shutter consumption as on the cameras produced so far. At this point I have a question, having the shutter that reaches 1/80000sec is an extraordinary thing, especially if we think of shooting wide open in full sunlight in July for example, now I wonder, why the camera to exceed 1/16000sec must be in single shot and at f1.8? I sincerely hope that this limit will be bypassed with an update! sent on January 27, 2024 |
![]() | DJI Mavic 3 Pros: Sensational image quality, crazy dynamic range, mechanical aperture, very interesting telephoto camera, excellent battery. Cons: Nothing except some small things with the update that makes it category C1 Opinion: DJI with this drone really revolutionized everything, an abyss compared to the Mavic 2 (which was already excellent). The Micro 4 Thirds camera returns unprecedented photo and video quality, it feels like having a flying GH5! With the DLOG-M and 4K/5K in H265 you have a cinematic video quality that allows you to make a very accurate postproduction. Photographically same speech, dynamic range and exceptional raw. It flies well, it is silent, it has a beautiful design, the batteries last a long time and finally they have a good cooling system that never makes you overheat them. With the Tele camera you can do wonderful things, another point of view so far not present on a drone. Equip yourself with quick cards because otherwise you will have problems. The only difference with the cine is that this has no internal SSD and does not record in pro res, for the rest they are identical. With the update that makes it category C1 you will have the light under the belly of the drone that you can no longer manage manually and the tracking distance limited to 50 meters, even the maximum speed decreases slightly but nothing striking. If you want a top and portable drone this is to be taken, with RC Pro of course! sent on November 28, 2022 |
![]() | DJI Avata Pros: FCC signal stability, versatility of use, safe for beginners, impressive quality of vision thanks to the new DJI Goggles 2 Cons: wash out if you turn too abruptly, a bit "slow" as reactivity (but it is not a race), for the use for which nothing else is designed. Opinion: I come from very powerful self-built drones and not (and I do not abandon them), this drone was a real revelation, in FCC the signal is impressive! You can get in and out of any place without ever having problems. It flies much better than DJI FPV but obviously does not have the same responsiveness (but they have different uses). The drone flies gently and the use that must be made of it is purely cinematic, gentle and controlled maneuvers. If you want to give him a little more sprint you can have him install the new Axis engines in order to make him much more responsive and sprinty (this procedure voids the warranty). images can be stabilized with the free GYROFLOW software. Obviously you do not expect the image quality of an action cam like the GoPro 10 or 11 but it is absolutely not disappointing, indeed! I am very satisfied with that. Last but not least, the Goggles 2, a lust, you will see everything at 1080 with very high refresh and a quality never seen before. With the release of the new air uniti dji O3 you can also build all the drones you want with the convenience of being able to use glasses and DJI radio control without having to have other compatible ones. In conclusion I wanted to specify that this cinewoop of DJI does not replace some self-built drones that have specifications and uses very different from this! If you are looking for a reliable and safe drone then Avata will be the right choice for everyone, professionals and non-professionals. sent on November 28, 2022 |
![]() | Sony A9 II Pros: Ergonomics, dual uhs-2 slots, 10fps mechanical shutter, anti flicker, shutter curtain that closes when off, excellent key haptic feedback, eye tracking even in video, variable shutter. Cons: No synchro flash with electronic shutter, no anti flicker with electronic shutter Opinion: I took this room about 3 weeks ago, I come from the a9 first model that I took on day one and that I had for 4 and a half years. I can say that even today the a9 is a room that has not been surpassed by some more modern rooms but I wanted to change it just to have a cooler room (I use it for work). With the a9II have been filled with the gaps that were had with the 1, first of all the anti flicker! In many locations (but also churches) with the a9 I could not eliminate the flicker even in mechanical, it was frustrating, finally with the 2 this problem was solved, also has the variable shutter in case the situation was really critical. Second plus the curtain that finally closes!!! What a pleasure to be able to change optics without the thought that something sticks to the sensor. The dual uhs-2 slot and finally the 1 card stands above and not below. Now I can finally use the tough to their full potential. The shutter is finally decent and reaches 10fps. The ergonomics are fantastic, the same as s3, r4, a1. What about a perfect room for my personal use, I would not do it in exchange with anything except a future a9III with anti flicker and electronic flash sync (I do not evaluate the a1 because for me 50mpx are too many). sent on December 31, 2021 |
![]() | Canon 6D Pros: good quality sensor, excellent high seal iso, good af on the central point Cons: 1/4000sec, af not always accurate in poor light, awb dancer in different situations Opinion: I had this camera for about a year and I used it with a lot of lenses, the af in good light conditions behaves well (as long as you stay on the center point) but do not touch the peripheral points because they are unreliable, the machine body is robust and light, 20mpx I find them right for a camera of this band, the raw are not too heavy and are excellent lyper, the colors that returns in nature the sensor are not bad but the awb does a little too often. the shutter stops at 1/4000sec and with light lenses in the sun it takes a nd, combined with l-series optics that really show great results, the burst is great for what I used to do (weddings and studio photos). basically it is a machine discreetly fast, reliable and well designed although obviously it has some gaps that you can forgive it for what it costs ! first full frame given used prices. sent on December 30, 2019 |
![]() | Sony Distagon T* FE 35mm f/1.4 ZA Pros: Zeiss Colors, FAST and precise AF, diaphragmmi declick diaphragmmi, crisp, pop 3d a ta Cons: Maybe a little heavy, light chromatic aberrations in backlight but x what returns everything is over-fly Opinion: For 1 and a half years or so in my hands is my travel companion, I never give up, neither for work nor for passion, it has a unique yield! On a9 it will make you fly, fast, precise, sharp, POETICO. It allows you to do state-of-the-art reporting, it allows you to be inside the scene and tell it and show it to the Observer as if it were there with you. It's a Zeiss lens you don't need to add anything else... sent on September 08, 2019 |
![]() | Samyang AF 85mm f/1.4 FE/RF Pros: very sharp at 1.4, gorgeous blurry (canon-like 1.2), really beautiful and warm colors, af ultrasonic, fast, precise and really quiet ! Cons: As much as it costs and what it returns, none Opinion: I've had this lens for about 4 months, what about... simply poetic, I had the sony 1.8 but I never liked it too much... this is a different story for me! the blur is wonderful, gradual and really creamy (reminds me of canon 1.2), the colors are just faithful and tend to warm (which I like very much), the autofocus is really impressive, compared to the other samyang has 2 ultrasonic engines that allow it to put to fire quickly and silently. even in the evening with low light I do not miss a beat ! for me really a superlative lens ! I use it on sony a9 and a7 and it give me great satisfaction ! sent on September 08, 2019 |
![]() | Samyang FE 50mm f/1.4 AF AS IF UMC Pros: Fuzzy Creamy (Canon type 1.2), price/performance ratio, beautiful colors Cons: AF noisy and sometimes uncertain but nothing exaggeratedly serious Opinion: I have owned and then sold this lens (but I will buy back soon because I like it too) and I was very satisfied, I came from the Sony 50mm f 1.8 Economical and the difference was abysmal, well built and solid, lens hood supplied, AF noisy yes, but precise. At 1.4 (at least my model) was very very sharp! Beautiful blurry, very creamy and warm (as I like) and beautiful rendition of colors and complexion, overall for what you pay (340 euros used) is worth having it! sent on March 12, 2019 |
![]() | Sony A9 Pros: Af, ergonomics, continuous af, buffer, general operating speed, precise awb, great files, key customization, battery life and much more Cons: nobody ! Opinion: I have this jewel for about a month, I have passed from a7 to this and of course the difference is abysmal, I have customized the car for my way of shooting and it seems stitched for me, doing wedding reportage I needed a fast car And trustworthy that would allow me not to miss the moment! I have to say that until now I have lost nothing thanks to the speed of this monster, always in focus thanks to the outstanding and accurate continuous af, in essence is a machine for those who look for reliability and precision in his work! If someone thinks that 5300 euros are so many are wrong, they are justified by performance and reliability! sent on July 14, 2017 |

Less than 200g, the circular lens hood is very good as is the ring maf ... af L has a little disappointed, quite fast but is very noisy and other with the front element protruding from barrel making fuoco.rnIn conclusion it is a great lens but I think it should cost no more than 150 euro sent on May 13, 2016 |
