Canon 6D Mark II Pros: Professional product, fantastic sensor, perfect resolution, details, high ISO holding, beautiful colors, burst, good attachment on fast-moving subjects, adjustable and touch LCD screen, aesthetically beautiful, functional and practical immediately from the first use, excellent battery grip, tropicalized, shock resistant. Cons: I didn't find any. Opinion: A true flagship, a very remarkable and important upgrade compared to its previous first version. Perfect match with the 5D Mark IV and, in some specific cases, it is even superior because it does not have the "defect" of contrasting the shadows markedly, with them also the highlights. Beautiful, very comfortable, with battery grip it is really cool, the battery life is eternal, exceptional sensor and ISO tightness, even the focus lock on moving subjects is responsive and practical, it churns out excellent workable files, beautiful colors, practical and easy to use, adjustable LCD screen (who needs it). I tried it in all shooting conditions, in interiors such as museums and churches and exteriors, sports shoots, photo shoots, and on the way like that. It is a professional camera, it allows you to work with absolute tranquility and safety, you always bring home the result, and it is excellent, in my opinion, and it is also tropicalized, so you shoot a little where you want and nothing happens. I recommend it as a second or first full-frame body, depending on your needs. Even in 2026 it is doing very well, and in the used still with few shots, it costs relatively little for what it can do. Excellent, really excellent. Rating 9.5 sent on 01 Aprile 2026 |

Canon 5D Mark IV Pros: Excellent technology of 2016, good locking and maintenance of the subject in fast moving shots, sensor at 30mpx, addition of more focus points on the four sides compared to the 5D Mark III, shooting speed at 7 frames per second, memory buffer speed considering 30mpx, good colors, high ISO holding, Three-dimensionality of the images, fantastic tropicalization, simple and intuitive menu, new battery grip, fits very well in the hand, beauty as a whole. Cons: To date, it marks the shadows and highlights, for the rest I have not found. For me, that's more than fine. Opinion: As an addition to the 5D Mark III, I decided to purchase its upgrade. The 5D Mark IV offers mind-boggling performance when used correctly. I immediately found a spatial feeling with this car. It is excellent in its performance in general and in the photographs churned out later, in the dynamic range thanks to its excellent sensor, easy and intuitive in the use of the menus, suitable for practicing any chosen photographic theme, and in any weather condition. Useful for work, for professional publications, even for passion. I never get tired of using it, I can do what I want with it, with the right lens for the need, I always bring home the work done in a simple and optimal way. As a somewhat sore note, it marks shadows and highlights, especially when the light during shooting is not correct (such as, for example, when shooting in conditions where the sun is at its peak at noon). If you miss a stop more or less in the exposure, she does not forgive. It gives its best in photographic studios with lights set to oc. Vote 9 sent on 01 Aprile 2026 |

Canon 5D Mark III Pros: Dust and shock resistance, mechanical, tracking on the fast-moving subject, resolution, details, ease of use, battery, ergonomics, being a high-end all-rounder, aesthetics. Cons: From 2012 to today, the changes imposed by new technologies. For me, no one, it's fine like this, I still own it today and I feel great. Opinion: It was the year 2012, and I, in need of a change of pace compared to an APS-C, was oriented to know the technical and specific characteristics of this camera, for me, exceptional. I bought it without hesitation. From 2012 to today, I have "squeezed" it in every way, with all the lenses I own and have possessed in my past, in every shooting condition, in every weather condition. Easy to use, good simple and effective menu, nice sensor, excellent mechanics, shutter speed more than sufficient even for sports, eternal battery, excellent battery grip, good attachment and maintenance of focus on the moving subject, many focus points available. Nowadays, I use it with a wide-angle lens, I put it to rest a bit, it deserves it after years in which, almost every day, I always had it in my hands. Rating 8.5/9.0 sent on 01 Aprile 2026 |

Canon 7D Pros: 18mpx sensor, precise and reliable focusing system, 8 frames per second burst, robustness, tropicalized, battery life, aesthetics, 19-point AF. Cons: Nothing for his time Opinion: I could write a book telling how many we have been through together. My 7D, still working and active, has totaled well over a million and a half shots, I have never changed anything, it is still as I bought it in January 2010. I did everything with it. We shared an experience at -24 ° degrees below zero, for the night lighting of the hot air balloons, in Dobbiaco, in Val Pusteria. I have used it for sports, travel, landscaping, portraits, street, birdlife, macro. I have always brought home the result, in any weather condition, even extreme. It has its years, you know, to date I recommend it as a used body for newbies who want to learn manual settings, without relying on ISO tightness and dynamic range, spending from 100 to 150€, for an indestructible and professional camera body in every respect. I replaced my 7D with an 80D, especially for sports photography, given my age I didn't want to go any further, especially for issues of ISO tightness and image quality which, overall, are inferior, if compared to other cameras nowadays. He will remain forever in my Heart. sent on 31 Marzo 2026 |

Canon 80D Pros: Resolution at 24mpx, details, dynamic range, colors, automatic white balance, burst at 7x frames per second, locking of the moving subject and hold of focus even in fairly difficult circumstances with the single point, very simple and intuitive menu, general settings and focus set, battery life, light weight and not bulky, Battery grip well designed for this machine, suitable for all types of shooting, suitable for all beginners, semi-professionals and / or professionals. Nowadays the cost of second-hand with a few shots taken. Cons: It suffers from the lack of well-done tropicalization especially on the front structure, central ring nut that can be improved. Nothing else for me. Opinion: The 80D is a perfect machine, an all-rounder, well designed, compact and light, even when you mount the battery grip in your hand it is comfortable and practical to use, beautiful to look at. Quick in changing the settings of the focus points both in the eyepiece and on the screen, the buttons for manual selection of autofocus, shutter speed and apertures are convenient and practical. Very simple and convenient menu, well done, intuitive from the first use. An ideal camera for portraits, macros below 1000 ISO, landscaping, street photography, all kinds of sports (I use it for horse riding, show jumping competitions, dressage, and more), night photos, bird and animal photography, and makes excellent videos. Fantastic and bright colors. I have not encountered problems with the JPEG, on the contrary, comfortable and practical if necessary. Obviously, I prefer the use of RAW, I don't rain on this. It is very fast in focusing as long as you use L-series lenses (I use the camera with the 300mm f/4 mounted, I dare not imagine the resolution and speed with an f/2.8, or higher), good ISO up to 800/1250, sufficiently good / fair shadow recovery, the automatic white balance is practically perfect, and the 7 frames per second are very convenient for any situation in which they are required and effective, very fast and efficient write speed on the card (I use a 300mb/s SD card both in reading and writing). The attachment and hold of the focus is very good with only the single central point and the others usable on the sides on the chosen subject even if in rapid movement. I was struck by the incredible detail in the enlargements. Battery consumption higher than current standards, with the battery grip mounted you can reach over 3000 photographs taken, and it still goes! A bit of a sore point: it is not immune to dust, it settles gradually during its use in the front part before the mirror, this fact actually dirties the sensor and part of the internal viewfinder. A well-done cleaning is needed for every 5,000/10,000 photos taken, especially if you face prohibitive weather conditions with strong winds and dust. In these cases, external protection should be taken into consideration. The shape of the main menu wheel is a bit difficult, not always convenient in its practical use, but it doesn't matter, let's say. Highly recommended as a replacement (see my case) of the 7D of 2009 and all the APS-C before it (except for the 7D Mark II, for a purely sporty and robust matter of the structure). To be taken into consideration as a machine to learn the professional profession well, especially as a second or third body, for those who use it even intensively for the most varied photographic disciplines, and for those who want to learn how to manage an almost professional camera with excellent performance.
