fujifilm_23_f1-4Fujifilm XF 23mm f/1.4 R

Pros: Build quality, aesthetics, aperture ring, lockable focus ring, sharpness.

Cons: Lens hood too big.

Opinion: I continue to appreciate Fujifilm lenses, especially the first versions. After buying the "old" 35mm f1.4, I recently have this unique and now irreplaceable 23mm f1.4. Pure enjoyment! Should I list the merits of this Fujifilm lens? No, I won't bore you with a long review. You should try it. Thanks go to RCE for the excellent service and quality of the used equipment.

ttartisan_23mm_f1-4apscTTArtisan APS-C 23mm f/1.4

Pros: Fully manual, small, lightweight, construction, aperture ring, focus ring pleasant to use, price

Cons: Metal cap but easily slips off, no lens hood

Opinion: I got this Ttartisan 23mm f1.4, the silver version, for my X-T3. It is completely manual, easy to use and has its own charm. I have other manual lenses and have never worried about focusing. It weighs 250 gr with the rear cap and the lens cap. To the touch it returns a good build quality. The bayonet mount is made of metal. I do not practice sports photography or birdlife. As I wrote in another review, I prefer fixed focal lengths. I bought it used from RCE Rovigo, which I thank, for £70. I eat his defects for breakfast. Greetings.

fujifilm_x-e1Fujifilm X-E1

Pros: Small, solid, light, essential, sensor performance, electronic viewfinder, jpg, pop-up flash, ideal for street photography with fixed focal lengths. Used price: 170€ with 9.000 shots.

Cons: It's from 2012 so should I say the AF is slow? That it is not stabilized? That it is not tropicalized? That it has only one slot? Which only has 16 MP? That you can only make videos in Full HD? ( besides, I'M NOT A FILM MAKER )

Opinion: I wanted it to see the performance of Fuji's first X Trans sensor and...... I must say that it amazed me! I shoot in jpg and for now only with the 35mm f1.4. I tried it with the 16-80mm f4 but it's really uncomfortable. I had already tried the X-PRO1, which has the same sensor, but I chose the X-E1 because it is smaller and because it has the diopter correction lever, which unfortunately the X-PRO1 does not have (I wear glasses). I use it in manual, even the focus, except the ISO. Fujifilm has gone so far as to produce the X-T5 with the 40 MP sensor, but honestly, this 16 MP sensor leaves me speechless. I like that it's slow, noisy, and doesn't have a digital shutter. I like the sound of the mechanical shutter release and it is not like that of the X-T3. It's fun to go out with the X-E1 around your neck and dream. UPDATE OF 22/12/2024. I resold it. It was just a monkey.

fujifilm_16-80_f4wrFujifilm XF 16-80mm f/4 R OIS WR

Pros: Aesthetics, Construction, Central sharpness, Aperture ring, Stabilized, Tropicalized, Quiet, Price.

Cons: Edge sharpness.

Opinion: Every review on a lens, as well as for a camera body, is the result of one's own experience of use and the type of photography you do. This Fujifilm 16-80mm f4 I replaced with the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 that I had for several months. It is by far better built, you can feel in your hand that the quality is superior to the Sigma which, on the contrary, gave me the feeling of plasticky. I wanted to get the 16-80mm f4 for my small trips/hikes. A very good zoom lens for everything I need. I am a lover of fixed focal lengths but at least an all-rounder zoom is always to be kept in your bag. The autofocus, coupled with my X-T3 is fast and quiet as well as the stabilization is remarkable. The aperture at f4 for my exits is enough and advances. Very sharp in the center and little at the edges but personally I don't care. I mold a maximum of 30x45 (I add a point to the sharpness from the settings on the machine). For now I am very satisfied. For me vote: 9.

fujifilm_35mmFujifilm XF 35mm f/1.4 R

Pros: Bright f1.4, lightweight, lens hood, aperture ring, autofocus, image quality, sharpness.

Cons: NOTHING! The small flaws have already been described. I praise it all with real pleasure.

Opinion: Goal of 10 laude. I could write it 200 times. It has a unique look with the rectangular lens hood. Sharpness already at TA. Maybe it could be my ultimate lens.... maybe. Despite being 12 years old, it is still a very good lens even for the Fuji X-T3. I bought it used from RCE Padova for € 400. For me it is among the goals to have. TOP. Vote 10. Update 20 October 2024. It is a pleasure for me to continue writing about this goal. I always set the focus to M in the camera when using this lens. I like to focus by hand, as I did with analogue when I was 18 and use the aperture ring. It may seem trivial but for me it is not. I like to photograph calmly, without HURRY. For me it has always been my moment, mine alone. I go out, headphones, music and photography. I find this lens unique, pleasantly perfect, for me. As I have already written, it is probably and will be my favorite lens/focal length. A piece of advice..... Focus by hand, don't make war for those who have the best technology. Breathe and get out.

pentax_smc-m50_f1-4Pentax SMC M 50mm f/1.4

Pros: Opening, look, size, metal cap.

Cons: Nothing for now!

Opinion: Recently purchased. I'm testing it. For now I can say thanks to RCE Torino who sent me a specimen in really good condition. No signs of wear. The lens is perfect and has no mold or mildew. Smooth and hard focus ring. I've been looking for it for a long time. Paid 160€. I'm very happy.

fujifilm_xf16_f2-8Fujifilm XF 16mm f/2.8 R WR

Pros: Size, weight, fast and very quiet autofocus, well built, aperture ring, tropicalized, look with the lens hood even if it is made of plastic.

Cons: Distortion.

Opinion: Taken used ( 290€ ). I confirm that I really like the Fuji f2 series. Great value for money. I was looking for a fixed/wide-angle focal length, not too far, for my landscapes and with this little gem I am satisfied. Also in this lens I love the click of the apertures. I like prime lenses! Very sharp in the center even at T.A. From f5.6 the image is sharp across the entire frame. Tropicalized. I recommend it. Rated 10.

canon_eos_rpCanon EOS RP

Pros: Ergonomics, resolution, image definition, high ISO resistance, weight, viewfinder.

Cons: A single slot for SD cards, fully adjustable screen, no bezel, stabilization.

Opinion: First of all I have to thank my friend Talix for lending it to me. I am a Fujifilm user and I have to say that this excellent Canon RP amazed me with my way of photographing and being..... That is, a simple amateur photographer. It's a FF and at the price you can find today, especially on second-hand for those who want to start with a Canon FF, this is FINE. The grip for me, who has big hands, is great. It's light and stays that way with the 35mm. I like to photograph with the viewfinder and in fact I often keep the screen closed. I'm not saying it's bad, on the contrary, but I much prefer the one of my X-T3. I don't make videos so I can't write anything or invent criticisms or merits. Very good image quality. Rated 9.

fujifilm_23_f2wrFujifilm XF 23mm f/2 R WR

Pros: Small, lightweight, image quality, tropicalized, silent, aperture ring, autofocus, cost used.

Cons: Lens hood.

Opinion: I bought it used about a month ago and have never taken it off my X-T3. I replaced it with the Sigma 18-50 f/2.8 and haven't regretted it. I prefer prime lenses. Equivalent to 35mm on F.F. It's my first Fuji lens with an aperture ring and it's a real pleasure to feel the softness of the clicks in my fingers. Truly quiet and reliable autofocus. Ideal focal length for street photography. Top sharpness and very good color rendering. Slightly contrasted but who knows. This f/2 series for me is perfect for my way of photographing. Next up will be the 16mm f/2.8 and the 35mm f/2. Rated 9. I don't give the 10 for the lens hood. I recommend it.

sigma_18-50_f2-8dnSigma 18-50mm f/2.8 DC DN

Pros: Lightweight,constant f/2.8 aperture,zoom ring,tropicalized, silent,Contemporary series

Cons: No diaphragm ring

Opinion: It is my first Sigma lens.I bought it used two days ago ( 430€ ) as new. In the end I chose the Sigma rather than the 18-55 Fujifilm for the constant aperture at f/2.8 and for the tropicalization. For now, it satisfies me. I will try it in the evening on a easel for landscapes . It is small and lightweight. The auto focus I assure you does not feel at all. Contemporary Series . I recommend it. Vote 9

fujifilm_xt3Fujifilm X-T3

Pros: Viewfinder, Dynamic Range, LCD, Tropicalized, DR, Color Profiles, Rings, Auto Focus, Dual Slots, Burst.

Cons: ERGONOMICS: I solved it with an additional grip. BATTERY LIFE: I solved it by having 2 more non-original ones plus the original one. STABILIZER: Dear Fujifilm you put it on the X-H1 I wonder why not in the X-T3.

Opinion: Pro camera at the release in 2018 and still is. I bought it recently (700€ black, very well kept) and immediately I felt good having already had the X-T20. I like the screen that can be swiveled in three directions: cockpit, bottom and sideways. I chose the X-T3 for this very reason rather than the X-T4 (I don't shoot video, I don't care). I totally excluded the touch function because I like to frame scenes with the viewfinder and even if I have glasses I can see well. Ferrules at your fingertips. The film profiles are unique. A gem of a camera. Rated 10
