![]() | Olympus OM-D E-M1 III Pros: Ergonomics, stabilization, sensor cleaning, everything. Cons: Nothing special Opinion: Finally after 1 year and a half I can express my humble opinion on this wonderful camera. I'm not a photographer and to be honest this camera goes beyond what an amateur photographer really needs. Anyway I found an offer and in short, I have it. Let's start Excellent ergonomics Many keys all comfortable and customizable Perfect weight and size, neither large nor small Example with the 20 mm lumix becomes almost a compact Tropicalized, well made, from the flaps to everything else. Mouse connections there is everything you need from Wi-Fi to USB c which allows the camera to also be powered e.g. on videos to the microphone, headphones etc. Very complete menu, and there is also the super Olympus menu very convenient. If you shoot in JPEG there are many valid profiles and the customization is quite complete. Simulated ND filter that works well (up to nd32 I think) Super fast burst, even too much 2 SD cards, battery that lasts a long time Autofocus very fast in single In tracking sometimes it gets lost or does not lock well but they are small things 4 customizable modes Mechanical shutter guaranteed 400,000 shots And the cleaning of the top sensor: I have never cleaned it and it is like new, not even 1 speck of dust. I also had another olympus (M10 mk 4) and also that zero cleaning and perfect sensor. Excellent image quality. Super quiet up to iso 1600 3200 is fine 6400 needs a bit of denoise. Between 6400 and 12800 is also usable. Anyway remember that with the micro 4/3 there is no need to ask for the aperture a lot, the bright lenses do not cost a lot and then there is the stabilization: Stra efficient! Even 5 sec handheld, with a little attention and 1-2 seconds on the agenda High resolution shot that in some cases is really useful: For example to make a macro to a still object or cmq a landscape, if you need more megapixels there is the possibility (50 freehand 80 with tripod) Excellent viewfinder and then simulate that of reflex cameras if you want Points not weak but in shadow Display " normal" It does its job but it's not great Certain functions can't be used together (or I'm not capable of it) such as high resolution shooting + self-timer If you do long exposures you must Always use the app to shoot without touching the camera In short, in my opinion an excellent camera that I would recommend to everyone. sent on November 02, 2025 |
![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO Pros: Construction, minimum focusing distance, quality, rings,af Cons: Nothing relevant Opinion: On omd e-m10 mk 4 it is a bit unbalanced but offers remarkable quality . On em1 mk3 it is perfect. I really liked the minimum focusing distance at both 12 and 40mm which makes it very good for "macro". Great for portraits: at 35/40mm f2.8 you have the face all in focus with a more than decent blur. It is an excellent lens, tropicalized and built very well. The dials are very smooth and the manual focus mechanism is perfect! Together with the 20mm lumix, it is my favorite lens sent on January 03, 2025 |
![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 45mm f/1.8 Pros: Image quality, bright, small and light, cheap Cons: Nothing Opinion: I use it for different situations, not only for the portrait that is his home. Beautiful close-ups even at full aperture, sharp and with a pretty good bokeh, but be careful! The subject is always in focus even at f 1.8.There is no danger of having an eye in focus and the tip of the nose out. It is also good for general landscape photos etc. Also used in an indoor gym for calisthenics. Defects.... Nobody. Used with both Panasonic and Olympus bodies sent on November 17, 2024 |
![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 EZ Pros: Very compact, sharp, well built Cons: Electronic zoom Opinion: Taken as a kit with the e-m10 mk 4 it was a worthy travel companion. Its main feature is that in 2 cm of depth you carry a 14-42 with you. It is fine during the day, less so with little light. Personally I took beautiful photos (even portraits). Metal bayonet, manual focus ring (skimpy but it's there) I don't like the electronic zoom, but in videos it works well. Overall a great kit lens sent on September 03, 2024 |
![]() | Olympus OM-D E-M10 IV Pros: Very nice, image quality, compact size, interesting features, scary stabilization Cons: High price (on new kit) Battery Some finishing Opinion: I've had it for 1 year and I can only express a positive opinion. Mine is black and it's really beautiful. In my opinion: Good viewfinder, good display can also be swivelled downwards. Single autofocus is great, continuous... It's not the best. Scary stabilization: with the 20mm that is not stabilized (and I seem to have understood that it does not accept from the double stabilization) I took 2 second handheld photos. Very compact, it is everywhere and this is its strength. Not a very complete menu in my opinion and the customization is inferior to that of Panasonic for example. Battery and so-so card compartment and miserable charging flap. However, it returns excellent image quality and noise is reduced up to ISO 1600. Great JPEG, workable Raw Live Comp etc really very useful. 799€ for the.kit (col 14-42) seems quite good to me sent on March 29, 2024 |
![]() | Panasonic GX80 / GX85 Pros: Compact Camera-Stabilized Sensor-Good Jpeg-Good Video-Fn Buttons-Great Menu-Lots of Functions Cons: Rear Ring-Viewfinder-Power Button- Opinion: I have been using it for 2 years and I must say that I enjoyed it very much. The M4/3 system is very versatile and guarantees good (excellent) image quality. It's true, up to 1600 ISO no problem, then the quality degenerates a bit, but between the stabilization the bright lenses and the greater depth of field compared to the larger sensors, it is not always necessary to get to 10000 iso The strong point is the compactness. The display is excellent, the price is excellent, the quality of both videos and photos is excellent. Videos lack headphone and mic inputs. The rear bezel is awkward and has never worked very well. The front one is valid. After 2 years, the built-in flash burned out. The viewfinder is small and I don't risolutissimo.in like the position all the way to the left anymore. Super stabilization, second only to Olympus. Do I still recommend it today? Absolutely, yes sent on December 24, 2023 |
![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 30mm f/3.5 Macro Pros: Economical macro - can be used in everyday normality (30mm) - Sharp - Compact and lightweight Cons: A bit slow focus-30mm is not enough to photograph live animals Opinion: I paid it again 179€ with Olympus offers. At that price it's great I also use it as an everyday lens doing landscape, portrait, street and... macro. It's good for flowers or all those things that don't move, like objects and food. But for photographing spiders, for example, it is too short. Anyway focuses from type 1 cm Super-recommended. sent on October 25, 2023 |
![]() | Panasonic Lumix G Vario 14-140mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH OIS II Pros: 28-280 equivalent.. In a compact and lightweight body Stabilized Versatile Cons: Nothing Opinion: It's the size of a 12-60 but it's 14-140. The quality in my opinion is very good for an all-rounder and brightness is not an issue. Beautiful, solid is a pleasure to use even with non-Panasonic bodies. Good focus in AFC and for video. New price not exaggerated but you can find excellent offers on used sent on October 25, 2023 |
![]() | Panasonic Lumix G 20mm f/1.7 II ASPH Pros: Compact-sharp-bright Cons: AF in video Opinion: In my opinion, it's not good for videos. In manual focus yes, but in auto focus absolutely. Very slow and inaccurate. For photos it doesn't go AFC. In single-player mode it works well although slightly slow. I tested it on Panasonic GX80 E yes Olympus OMD EM10 Mark 4 Honestly there are no differences: It's fine on both bodies. Very sharp, bright and has a perfect focal length for street but you can also take portraits. Then the compactness on small bodies is the top. sent on October 24, 2023 |
![]() | Panasonic Lumix G Vario 12-32mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS Pros: Lightness, compactness, stabilized Cons: No manual focus, Opinion: I tried it together with the Panasonic Gx80.In the end it was a good lens, light, stabilized and quite sharp. Ridiculous weight and dimensions, it does much better than the "brothers" 18-55 apsc maybe it is missing.just a few mm in tele it does not have the ring for manual fire (but you don't miss it) and the bayonet is made of plastic. sent on October 22, 2023 |
