Pros: Construction, Footprint, Cost

Cons: Optical quality

Opinion: Bought to experiment a bit, I took the second version, the one without the imprinted Roman numerals which are quite horrifying... It replaces the camera cap by creating a tip and shoots for all intents and purposes, the 28mm equivalent focal length and the 6.3 aperture will make sure that from about 1 - 1.5 meters from you up to infinity everything is in focus, which is not bad for those who practice photography in a jaunty way or seize the moment on the fly. On the other hand, there is a not excellent optical quality, a fixed diaphragm that can make it quite dark when the light goes down. But beyond that, pair it with the XE series and you'll see that the fun will be guaranteed.

ttartisan_af27_f2-8TTArtisan AF 27mm f/2.8

Pros: Price, Size, Weight, Vignetting, Cap to update FW

Cons: Slow MAF, Vignetting, Slow Iris

Opinion: I bought this optic about 6 months ago, new, on Amazon, arrived, mounted and always kept with me for a weight factor and comfort. All in all I have to say that it's not bad, in fact it's a good alternative to the original Fuji. If it is purchased with the intention of taking a reasoned type of photo then it is fine, since it is quite slow in the MAF, sometimes uncertain, slow is also the aperture that creates that feeling of flickering when you look at the eyepiece, quite annoying for my taste. The fact of the TA vignetting (which disappears at about f4) is good for those like me who are looking for that effect in the shots, so you don't need a post to insert such an effect; it can be a con for the simple fact that if I don't want vignetting I'm forced to close the aperture and sometimes, especially in low light, it's not so advantageous, a bit like the MAF that in low light or in areas with little contrast suffers a bit. Small lens hood, not so functional, I would have preferred a larger lens hood to tell the truth, the cap can be lost since it is tiny in all respects. Excellent idea to insert the connection to the PC from the back cap to update the FW, useful yes, and no, since the last update dates back to a year ago... In conclusion, good in itself but with some limitations, but in the end for what you pay for it it can also be there.

Pros: Compactness, Quality, MAF Speed, Lens hood

Cons: No WR, Noise

Opinion: Beautiful optics that I haven't owned for long but that I've used enough to be able to review. Let's start with the positives, including the construction, which is quite sturdy; the speed of the MAF, the optical quality itself which, in addition to having a small feature in the photos, also has a good resistance to flare; Lens hood which in itself is very nice and very very functional. At full aperture it's pretty sharp in the middle and then loses at the edges, but that's okay, it fits. As sore points I must say that they are small things that nowadays make someone choose something else, including, the fact that there is no WR, believe me that for those who use this photo in the street, in my opinion it is fundamental or at least a not insignificant plus; the general noise, between the diaphragm and the MAF which make this lens not suitable for video, as long as you use an external microphone. In short, to conclude, it is a lens that is undoubtedly loved by those who do street and love to immerse themselves in the moments and for those who do landscape, since it is still a wide-angle, or for those who love the equivalent 28mm; without a doubt, nowadays it deserves an update to make it silent first and foremost and above all WR. If they were to upgrade the optics, I would certainly be one of the first to make the switch. And anyway, the fact that you can find it used for about 320 - 400 euros, makes it clear that as old as it may be, it is a great gem. P.S I don't spend any ideas when it comes to the cap, since I always keep the lens hood and it has never been put on.

Pros: All

Cons: Nothing, given the age

Opinion: An APSC with the same characteristics as a Full Frame, acquires light like a Full Frame and makes spectacular photos, obviously they must be able to expose and with the right optics. It digests any lens, but prefers, of course, the L series lenses or the fixed, even with the 50 and 24 STM you will be able to bring excellent shots. It does not hold up to who knows how many ISO, but given the age, the mpx and the APSC sensor can be there. Bought in 2020 for less than 300 euros, it gave me only satisfaction, when the photo is exposed well it does not need a post. A tip for all those who have doubts about whether to buy it or not in 2023, obviously yes, buy it, with your eyes closed, you will not regret it at all, as long as you bang your head to learn how to use it, understand it and master it, I would buy it again finally times ... I close by saying that I used it for Street, Sports Photo, Portraiture, Reportage, Weddings, Baptisms, Confirmations, I have never disappointed the photo is always perfect (always remaining to the fact of knowing it, as mentioned before). I can't express an opinion for the video department since I've never tried. There is to pay attention with low quality fixed optics, because isto the pixel density of the sensor, it creates microcosm, that's why you have to learn to use it and bang your head, because it is a moment that channel the photo and you will notice it only on the computer.

Pros: Portable, sensor, MAF points, vertically oriented screen, video, object tracking, MAF speed, ISO sensitivity, energy saving.

Cons: View view sold separately, cumbersome menus, screen brightness, display meter, battery life, does not have sensor cleaning.

Opinion: I have owned it for about 6 months, the use mainly to make landscapes, with the 18-55 kit is quite cumbersome, the thing I like about this machine is the sensor that for the age it has, and still great, gives beautiful colors and a lot of detail. Convenient selection of the MAF point that covers about 80% of the display, brightness' display good as long as there is not much sun, in this case you can't see and you can't rely on the display that is slightly stared, tends to lightly underexpose. The MAF in optimal light conditions is lightning, a little less in low light conditions, but you can help with the assisted focus, that is, after the machine has focused, you can make micro adjustments through the MAF ring. Very comfortable the dial that also has the function of keys and allows us to move very quickly in the menu' which is complex and cumbersome. Excellent key customization that the machine offers you, to speed up all selections (ISO, MAF Point, Exposure Measurement and more). At the level of sensitivity iso, the lowest and 200, and reaches 16000, but you can use only up to 6400, so as to overexpane slightly and do a great processing in the post, the sensitivity' 12800 and 16000 are unusable. As for the video sector, I tried l, tracking the subject and I have to say that it works well. It has the power-saving function that you can manage as you want, the battery does not last much, especially if you use it with the energy saving turned off and the screen brightness to the maximum. Another negative note, it does not have sensor cleaning and does not even have the function, that when you change lens or turn off, the shutter tendons do not lower, so the sensor always stays in the open. As an overall rating I give 8/10. If you find it at about 150 euros used and with a few shots and a great toy to carry always with you and never miss a moment especially when combined with the 16-50. Great for those who do

Pros: Robust, controls, central MAF point, ISO expansion, price used.

Cons: Display, AF, ISO (H), and External MAF Points.

Opinion: I have owned it for about a year, I have to say that I feel great, I only shoot with the 50mm, the machine, when you take it in your hand from a feeling of unique robustness, the screen and unusable, it pains in everything, but for the age that has there can fit, you can use it only and exclusively to control the composition of the photo. The AF occasionally barrels the focus only in low light conditions, as long as you use the center point, focus and recompose the image, the central points are useless. Colors are something exceptional. As for the iso sensitivity, up to 1600 are very workable, from iso 640 onwards, you notice a little noise in the shadows, but nothing that, does not even need correction, from iso 800 onwards you start to notice a little more, but you can remove it quietly up to 1600, obviously losing in the shadows, to iso 3200 (H) the noise is very noticeable and annoying and not always manage to remove, but in order not to lose the moment, I personally give away the noise, a small notice that I do, when I use the expansion, is to overexpiver slightly. My overall rating and 9/10, for the cost that has today you can absolutely appear, take home a FullFrame at about 150 euros and great especially with 50mm. To me the lack of sensitivity' iso high is not lacking for the simple fact that compensation with external lights and/or flash.
