![]() | 7artisans 35mm f/1.2 Pros: Cheap, small, light, pleasant results with 'creative' aberrations Cons: To be used on subjects knowing that it will not give perfect results Opinion: Very pleasant, I have been using it for a while for subjects where I am not looking for the perfect result, but 'dirty', with perfect edges, backlight with flare and the like. I recommend it knowing all this. Great for portraits a bit 'dreamy' where the backlight becomes a veil that covers the faces. Closing the aperture obviously improves and at f 8 can also be used for more common photos sent on November 21, 2021 |
![]() | Nikon Coolpix A Pros: sharpness, file rendering, compactness, condizivision of Nikon accessories Cons: AF (but it's from 2013) Opinion: For several years I have been using the coolpix A picocla, which has replaced in my kit a Rocoh GRD3 with a small sensor. The fact of having an APS sensor (the stress of the Nikon D7000) is its best side, with a file generated with excellent sharpness, sharp, colors and an expressive fall of light at the open diaphragm edges that characterizes it. Very sharp starting from f4, it's fine even at full aperture. The AF suffers from the year 2013 project with few customizations, but still manages to compete with machines in production (e.g., from direct confonto, it is faster than the Fuji XF10). Manually it can also be used, looking at the metric scale usl monitor (but it has no fixed focus functions and the bezel easily moves inadvertently). Its 16 MPX are still current and guarantee a light and well-manageable file as per nikon tradition, even on high sensitivities, up to 3200 iso and passes. I really appreciate the compatibility of the nikon flash system and often I pair it, via cable, an SB 900 for particular situations. The synchroization on all times lends itself well to this type of use in full sun in the street. After years of use I still can not mature the idea of abandoning it (while using other more recent compact). sent on August 11, 2021 |
![]() | Fujifilm XF10 Pros: compactness, optical and file quality, always to be carried with you, snap shot function (over 2 distances) Cons: AF (it takes patience although improved with the sign), lens cap, lack lens hood and flash slide Opinion: I bought the xf10 on a non-EU site at half the price compared to the list (just to say that the list price seemed excessive compared to expectations). The machine maintains the expectations of a Fuji, with excellent file quality, even if it does not have the XTrans sensor but bayer, with all the customizations and simulations typical of Fuji. The file appears too sharp, almost pumped, perhaps to make up for the optical quality that seems a bit 'under tone compared to the x100 with some lateral aberration, but good ventilation in backlight. Compact to always carry with you, I would have liked a better AF (but knowing it you get used to it and learn to manage it). The batteries are the same as the X100 up to the T (an advantage if you also have one of these machines) and are adequate for the type of machine. The lack of the viewfinder might feel in full sun, but it's something you know when buying, as well as the lack of a flash door slide. I would have liked a better cap and the ability to mount a hood. For the street the snapshot function is useful, even if a bit limited: it works at 2mt with 5.6 aperture or at 5 meters and f 8: Overall it keeps what it promises, avoiding competing with the X100 which is obviously more complete. Not being able to mount the flas, or you use only the built-in one or a second flash in optical slave (which in broad daylight could be out) sent on August 11, 2021 |
![]() | Fujifilm X100V Pros: retro aesthetics, image quality, dual viewfinder, tele or wide optical accessories, compactness, improved battery Cons: flash system not quite at the top Opinion: Coming from the T I found various improvements: AF speed, tropicalization, battery life (now the same as the XTx series). I really appreciate the retro design inspired by Leica and I find it very practical in the street, where simplicity and promptness are needed. All the style of the X100 series in the currently most advanced body. I have the limted anniversary series with green leather and it is even more beautiful than the usual models. I very much appreciate the improvements. The lens also seems to be improved against the light with increased contrast. The rendering of the file has the pros and cons of xtrans, but it is now well managed by software. The only aspect that I would like to improve is the flash system, a little' inferior to other systems. Cmq I find myself bane either to use it with Godox and triggers or with the Fuji XE20 or with other flashes (in A) of third parties (eg the small SF 24 Leica). The fuji menu I do not mind, although it does not have the immediacy of the leica one (I have known cmq for some time because similar to the Fuji models that I used in the past and that I also use now). Useful are the additions wide and telephoto that allow you to simulate, without noticeable qualitative loss, the focal lengths 28 and 50 mm equivalent sent on August 11, 2021 |
![]() | Leica Q2 Pros: perceived quality, optical quality, operating speed, af, excellent manual focus, operational simplicity, excellent viewfinder, intuitive menu Cons: inability to choose a flashy sticker, flash system with few options of choice, difficulty finding third-party accessories Opinion: Macchio illustrates, as ferrari, Bugatti, Aston martin :-) However, it is also a machine that uses all modern technology, applied to a purely photographic style. It is a project made by those who understand photography and makes simple the operations that serve the street photographer the most. It maintains the feeling of the M series but does not give up the advantages of the technology that characterizes the mirrorless: antepirima, excellent monitor and viewfinder. It is possible to use with the immediacy of the machines of the past, using analog rings and appreciating the immediacy of the M function and also of the manual focus, with rapidity of the ring, metric scale, ease and immediacy in switching from af to MF. It enjoys the electronic shutter that reaches 1/40000 (but we found a bag that I hope they can solve: in A and P it only reaches 1/16000, while the 40 thousandth is reached in S or M. The menu is the most minimal you can find on a modern mirrorless, but there is everything, only that organized in a rational way. Good battery life (in a single session I got to exceed 500 shots), but better to equip yourself with a second one. The optical quality is superb, even if it does not send some shade of flare backlight (a minimal thing cmq). 47 MPX are many and allow you to use the cropping function with very comfortable frames that allow you to shoot "as if" you had a 35, 50 and 75 mm available, still maintaining a good resolution, sufficient for almost any usual eventuality. doing 2 accounts (optical quality mounted fixed on a valuable body) can even be said not too home (an M with 28 certainly costs more). Great for the street I would have liked a dedicated flash system: not that there is not, but the compact flashes are not very powerful, the powerful ones are large and only the flagship model allows the use of the trigger. They are then built by third parties and rebranded Leica (coj oblbigata branding and price appropriate to the name). I solved following rockwell's suggestion: I tulizzo to the need an SF24 that on the used is quite affordable, ratherpotent but also compact. For convenience I also use it with cable detached from the camera body using a Nikon cable for analog TTL flashes. Finally I would have liked to replace the red sticker, very showy, with a black one, but on this leica model it does not offer the possibility. I put some black tape on it to cover it sent on August 11, 2021 |
![]() | 7artisans 12mm f/2.8 Pros: Cheap, good sharpness, easy manual focus, continuous diaphragm, impression of robustness Cons: In the backlight needs attention Opinion: A very economical lens that amazed me by sharpness, distortion correction, ease of focus and diaphragm. Chromatically a little cold, but it's not a problem. Backlight to be careful, with some parasitic reflex in evidence. It provides an idea of robustness and pleasantness, built of metal. Quite compact and quick to use. The metric scale is convenient, despite the large pdc of the focal. I use it on fuji and I'm quite satisfied with it sent on November 06, 2019 |
![]() | AmazonBasics - Zaino per fotocamera e accessori Pros: Cheap, spacious, practical Cons: Light protection Opinion: It costs little, has a lot of space, does its job as an expensive backpack in 90% of cases. In the remaining 10% it may not be sufficiently protective. Recommended for not particularly stressful use, where it definitely does not disappoint. The cost quality ratio is more than favorable, better than many other branded, obviously lower than the best. However of invoice more than acceptable sent on November 06, 2019 |
![]() | Fujifilm EF-X20 Pros: Compact, versatile, great at a distance Cons: No ultrasound or wireless, drains batteries fast, charging not very fast, non-adjustable Opinion: Very cute and well done, I use it mainly detached from the machine as a second light, controlled by other flash or by the one in the car. In this way I also use it with non-fuji machines and gives me good satisfaction. Good for the street too. It only has 2 batteries and that's perhaps why after about 60 shots it's exhaust, slow charging times. However it has its merits and taking it with a little discount can be a bargain sent on November 06, 2019 |
![]() | Fujifilm EF-42 Pros: Cheap, relatively powerful, orientation, battery life Cons: Few functions, cheap, sometimes moves on the sled losing contact Opinion: Taken used for very few euros, it is a flash Sunpack of analog and rebranded derivation. He does his honest work, with good power and orientation, with limited functions and dated conception. Anyway, he does his honest job, as long as he doesn't stress too much. I recommend it but not at full price. The fuji flash system is perfectable and in this sense you can still appreciate it sent on November 06, 2019 |
![]() | Sigma 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DL IF Pros: Economical, beautiful colors, crisp, great zoom hike Cons: Slowness AF, backlight, transmits idea of not sturdiness, a lot of plastic, not very bright. Unsharp at 300 Opinion: He does his job of cheap handyman. Little bright, can put you in trouble with low light. Af a bit slow and noisy. However it returns beautiful colors and good general sharpness in favorable light conditions. Less sharp on the longer focal lengths, but it's quite normal. It gives an impression of low strength, but so far no problem. Zoom ring not very comfortable and pressure resistant in a non-uniform way sent on March 02, 2019 |
![]() | Panasonic GX9 Pros: compactness, silent shooting even in mechanical mode, ergonomics, tilting screen, affordable price, traditional line Cons: Less physical keys than other sisters of the brand, synchro to 1/200, touch screen sensitive to accidental shifts framing the viewfinder Opinion: Purchased taking advantage of the discounts of these days at an affordable price. With the GX9 I believe that Panasonic make a little ' order to the production line of the GX, unifying the line 8 and 80 in one and then resuming the wire traced with the 7. Improves compared to 80; Compared to 8 it reduces the size while still offering similar performance. The elimination of the low pass filter improves the crispness of the image and helps to reduce the noise because the most obtainable sharpness is not pushed to the maximum. I recommend to minimize noise reduction, preferring a minimum of noise to the loss of detail that the filter inevitably introduces. Usable however even at 3200 ISO or more, especially in RAW. The new 20 MPX sensor is very well-behaved, with a noticeable improvement also on the dynamic range. Compact, light, with the same batteries as other household models (e.g. LX100, Gf5...), is always to be taken with you, especially combined with fixed and compact lenses like the 14/2.5. Excellent street car, which does not give in the eye, with a good speed AF and discretion to click. Video at the top, as Panasoinc has accustomed, with several controls, while not being video tip Model X. Recommended from every point of view sent on October 17, 2018 |
