canon_rf24-70_f2-8Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8 L IS USM

Pros: Image quality, quiet, fast

Cons: Maybe the gimbal and focus switches are too soft and you risk turning them off/on, other flaws honestly I don't know.

Opinion: Excellent image quality, fast and quiet focusing, materials pleasant to the touch, aesthetically pleasing cleaner than the EF series. Defects... I found an excessive softness of the two focus selectors and the stabilizer you risk deactivating / activating them without realizing it, honestly I don't know anything else

fujifilm_x100vFujifilm X100V

Pros: Beautiful, lightweight, transportable, APS-C

Cons: Excessive price, uncomfortable aperture lever, uncomfortable iso ring

Opinion: The camera of desires that many would like, much advertised on the net, has become a trendy object. I had the opportunity to use it for a few months, taking about 4000 photographs in different conditions. The camera looks good, the look is very reminiscent of the film cameras of a few years ago, light, very compact, it seems well made even in terms of materials, it allows you to be carried anywhere without difficulty, in the winter it can also fit in the pocket of a jacket. The sensor is APS-C, it has several functions that make it complete for photographic use, for videos I would not be able to give detailed information as I do none. The 35mm equivalent fixed lens returns good quality images that can always be used at full aperture, some complain about the absence of the stabilizer but in my opinion you can do without it considering the focal distance, the ISO hold in my opinion is good with a little post production you get good results, the resolution of 26 Megapixels is perfect. The machine in my opinion is highly advertised and the value increased dramatically even in the used is excessive and disproportionate, in my opinion there are similar products that cost less and do the same thing. The aperture lever on the lens is uncomfortable to use, the iso ring is uncomfortable to use, the autofocus is not always accurate and sometimes a bit slow, no charger (always considering the price), the Q button is uncomfortable, I find the menu a bit cumbersome having always used Canon. If the price were to go down, it is to be considered as an everyday camera to take everywhere, if it stays so high I don't think it is a sensible purchase.

canon_eos_rCanon EOS R

Pros: Robust, image quality

Cons: Only one memory slot, the second ring (the rear one) is too hollow I struggle to rotate it naturally

Opinion: The first Canon mirrorless that approaches the world of professionals, I have been using it for about 3 years and I have not had major problems. The resolution of the sensor for me is perfect, 30 megapixels are ideal neither few nor too many the right compromise considering also the management in post production and storage of files on digital media, in some cases if it is essential you can also crop the photo without losing too much resolution. The images produced are pleasant I did not notice dominants or obvious disturbances, I use it a lot for portraits combined with Sigma 85mm f1.4 ART with adapter, the images produced are always fully usable, perhaps sometimes you feel the lack of stabilizer with medium telephoto lenses like this but just do a little 'care use security times and there is no problem. The noise management at high iso is in line with the models I have tried and already have, for those who are obsessed by noise perhaps it is not ideal. Comparing it with the most recent models obviously it could be considered already obsolete especially for video (it has great shortcomings in fact), but for a photographic use not particularly demanding pernso is a machine to keep in mind considering also the price not excessive even in the used market. Big flaw for me is the absence of the double memory slot with a second slot would have been better, the second ring the rear one is too hollow is not very easy to use better the classic wheel that uses canon for years that has inserted again in the new models.

canon_24-70_v2Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM II

Pros: Sharpness, overall image quality

Cons: It is not stabilized, the diaphragm group from what I understand almost always breaks (mine is broken)

Opinion: The 24/70 is the lens that should never be missing (for Full Frame systems) practically you can do a bit of everything from the landscape to the portrait, the model in question is an L series lens and in my opinion has no particular defects, the images generated are pleasant, sharp (even at full aperture) with pleasant colors, I used it for years on the 5D Mark III I noticed some difficulty in focusing in particular situations such as backlight using it instead on Canon R6 with adapter I did not encounter the problem indeed there was a significant improvement in focus. Defects : missing the stabilizer that perhaps in some cases would be useful the problem but I solved it with the R6 that is stabilized; The diaphragm group EROOR 01 broke and considering that I use it very little is somewhat strange, reading on the various online forums from what little I understood is a very frequent defect, the cost for the repair was 200 Euro and considering the cost of the lens we say you would not expect similar problems.

canon_35_f2isCanon EF 35mm f/2 IS USM

Pros: Lightweight, small, practical, f2 maximum aperture, stabilization

Cons: It is not tropicalized, does not have the standard hood, perhaps compared to other lenses a bit noisy the focus

Opinion: I had been following it for years but I never bought it even for the (new) price quite high, I found an opportunity on RCE and I took it immediately. I mounted it on a 5D Mark III and I think I will not disassemble it anymore, small, compact, light, very practical, I made an exit and I must say that practically it is like not having it, it does not clutter comfortably fits in a backpack of modest size considering also the camera body. Excellent first impressions, high quality, sharp images even at full aperture (shooting little at apertures all open) for the moment you do not find major defects. The price of the new is very high and from what I understand even the used maintains the price, evidently it is very sought after. It does not have the standard hood (my specimen was equipped with a non-original hood that is fine the same) considering the price perhaps a hood is there, it does not have tropicalization could be a problem for landscape or street photography. The overall great product!

canon_5d2Canon 5D Mark II

Pros: rugged camera body, beautiful colors and shades, menu not very rich yet intuitive, indestructible machine

Cons: A bit 'noisy shooting, has only one slot for the memory (but the car is of 2008) only 3 shots per second (but do not think is a defect)

Opinion: Full Frame SLR Canon has for years been the reference point for many professionals, a well crafted indestructible machine, essential, produces shots that are still respectable compared with the most recent machines. I personally never had any problems and I never found defects in constructive nature or due to use if you really want to try the nit has one very noisy due to the shutter release and has only one memory slot (although it must be considered which is a 2008 machine). I compared to high iso file with those of the 6D, I think the 6D cleaner files genres with less noise but more kneaded the 5D Mark II is more noisy but it is more detailed and engraved ... after years compares well . Has few points of focus but it is always precise and even in low light is always able to manage the AF optimally perhaps not suitable for sporting activities or situations requiring faster AF but is not; a machine for this type of photography.

canon_g1xCanon PowerShot G1 X

Pros: Ergonomic, usable images even at high ISO noise is acceptable, 360 ° rotatable display

Cons: optical viewfinder unusable, making slow fire and not focusing at short distances, consumes a lot of battery

Opinion: camera for every day for those who love to travel or carry a camera not too heavy or bulky, the images are perfect I think is comparable to an entry level SLR, it operates at high ISO noise well and generated files are not very incisive but perfectly workable in post, 360 ° rotatable display allows shooting from as many points without any problems, well-distributed commands and functions appropriate to the product. The cons? The optical viewfinder is not unusable by any information on the shoot and it is unclear where the camera focuses on, the battery does not guarantee a high number of shots (agrees to buy spare a few), the focus is not very fast and the minimum distance the focus is mostly up high (almost a meter minimum distance). I do not know whether or not to advise definitely recommended for generated images but there are 2-3 things you might not like ... I hope to try the markII

canon_6dCanon 6D

Pros: Lightweight and compact despite being full frame, lightweight, clear images, good management of noise at high ISO, convenient if you use the GPS for travel or street photography, interesting wifi although sometimes it is not very easy and intuitive to connect in a cell.

Cons: Focusing not so fast especially in backlit or not very bright environments, the absence of the second memory slot

Opinion: A comfortable car is not very large compared to other full frame and can be used in almost any situation, the full frame sensor ensures shots always used even if made in low light at high ISO. The images it produces is able to optimally manage with specific software. Autofocus is not always optimal sometimes hard to focus on the subject I have noticed in low light and backlit subjects especially in the central points outside remains slightly faster, too bad the absence of the second memory would be better to have a second slot for the backup image.
