Nikon Z50 Pros: Size, image quality, excellent high ISO seal Cons: Small buttons, battery life, micro usb Opinion: Purchased about a month ago because I felt the need for a lighter and more transportable body to use during trips with family and trips out of town. It is a little gem that does not make you regret having left your SLR at home. Excellent image quality and a really unexpected rendering even at medium-high ISO. In this definitely better than my D7100, thanks also to the evolution of the xspeed 6 processor. On the other hand, I found the buttons a bit too small. Perhaps because of the size of my hands, I have more than a few difficulties in operating the fn buttons simultaneously with the adjustment rings placed at the front and rear. Good quality of the LCD screen and more than good viewfinder, with which I was immediately at ease. Another sore point is the battery life, but it was a minus that I already knew. As well as the single slot for the SD card that unfortunately is placed in the battery compartment. Another sore point is the micro usb input: I would have preferred a usb-C input. It is true that the battery can be recharged in the car through the USB input but it is also true that it is not possible to use it while charging and considering the battery life, I find this choice wrong that forces you to buy a second battery, whose price is not really cheap. I use it with the 16-50 in kit that, despite appearances, gives amazing results even if a little dark. Waiting for nikon to chuttle some other optics, I use the 18-140 with tfz adapter and I have not encountered any problems. Unfortunately with third-party optics the speech is not so simple and you have to try case by case compatibility. In conclusion, if you are looking for a small ml, easy to use, to carry around without problems of weight and bulk and with an excellent image quality, the nikon z50 is highly recommended!! sent on November 10, 2021 |
Nikon AF 24-85mm f/2.8-4 D IF Pros: Value for money. Good optical quality, macro function. Cons: Some flare problem in the backlight Opinion: Recently purchased on the bay, winning an auction for only 150€. Used on the D700 I find it great as a handyman. On the d700 it is very balanced and I do not find any contraindications. Sharp, engraved images. Highly recommended if you find a used in good condition. Some complain about the weight but a zoom starting at f/2.8 cannot have "minimal" dimensions. A little soft to TA and extreme focal points, but it resolves by diaphragm a little. sent on November 05, 2020 |
Nikon D700 Pros: Weight, solidity, controls, "few mps", good ISO high hold Cons: Weight, "few mp", 95% coverage, a single memory slot Opinion: Purchased for two days to join my D7100. From the few tests I can only consider myself more than satisfied. Construction of the past and the weight suffers but a lot of solidity and excellent ergonomics with all the keys in the right place that allow you to never take your eyes off the viewfinder (fantastic with coverage only 95% to get used to). I put the few mps in both the pros and cons. On the one hand they allow you to work with old afd optics getting really good results and the "light" files do not stress the pc in pp. On the other hand you have little chance of cropped without expiring the quality. It holds up to 3200 ISO and beyond. No micromox problem (in my d7100 it is always lurking). For those who, like me, do not have great economic possibilities, I do not think there is anything more convenient for the transition to FF.... overconsiled! sent on November 01, 2019 |
Nikon AF-S 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR Pros: value for money; Effective and Silent VR Cons: Nobody Opinion: Bought by a user Juza at a great price, complete with hood, in conditions equal to the new. I needed a handyman to use on vacation so I wouldn't get behind my backpack and outfit. I bought this lens well aware that I would have to pay the price in terms of brightness. In fact, thanks to VR very effective, I used it with satisfaction bringing home great shots. Coupled with the D7100 offers really good results, it seems made just for this machine. I had got to try the younger brother (18-105) but there is no comparison in terms of quality. Good yield at all focal lengths, although it degrades a bit to 140mm. Distortion just mentioned and easily corregible in post. Almost absent vignetting and good behavior even against the light. AF fast and effective. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a handyman on APSC!!! sent on January 03, 2019 |
Nikon AF 50mm f/1.4 D Pros: quality / price ratio, yield Cons: tends to overexpose at least 1/2 stop Opinion: Purchased used in physical store at a great price. Objective practically as new. Used on my nikon d7100 I find it amazing, especially in interiors. It holds very well the 24 mpx of my car. Great for half-length portraits, not suitable due to distortion for close-ups. I also use it in landscapes. In outdoor light it tends to overexpose at least half a stop, so much so that by now imposed compensation by default. A bit 'soft to TA but very clear already at f / 1.8. My specimen did not come with the hood. I bought a non-original rubber that performs well to its function and that, contrary to the original, can be folded on the optics with a better portability. Highly recommended for those looking for a fixed 50. The used prices are very affordable and if you are lucky enough to find one in good condition it is to be taken on the fly. sent on April 06, 2018 |
Tamron SP 17-50mm F/2.8 XR Di II VC LD Pros: f 2.8, stabilizer, quality / price ratio Cons: slow and imprecise maf system in low light conditions, it is not a full-time mf and the focusing ring sometimes balks and goes in spurts. Opinion: Taken used, used in excellent condition. The use of Nikon D7100 and I consider it a great "all-rounder". Sharpness already good af 2.8 that improves diaframmando quite a bit '. The stabilizer is slow and must give it time to intervene in order not to run in rough. In fact I think the complaints of some users relate to this aspect. It is not an objective "point and shoot" if vr is inserted. af the system is slow and goes into crisis in non-optimal light conditions. For the rest is a viable alternative to Nikon optics kit I own and with which I could make comparisons. I find the upper tamorn around and saw the second-price highly recommend it to anyone looking for a bright handyman zoom to APSC sent on April 27, 2017 |
Nikon D7100 Pros: dual slot, AF, ergonomics and tropical conditions, crop and 1.3 ... more Cons: buffer Opinion: Bought a year I can only declare myself more than satisfied with the choice. Excellent reflex of all, capable of churning jpeg practically ready and Raw that if exposed properly, do not require major interventions in pp. Sensor 24 mpx very demanding as to the objectives to use but that returns a lot of satisfaction in terms of sharpness. Excellent quality up to ISO 3200 in extreme lighting conditions, otherwise it is better not to exceed the ISO 1600. All controls (and there are many) in the right place and easily accessible, excellent ergonomics and double ring. Excellent optics with Nikon AF, some hesitation with third-party lenses. The only flaw the buffer if you shoot in RAW does not allow to go beyond 4/5 frames in burst, improved by sd ultra fast cards. I already knew the problem before purchase, but given the type of photos that I do, for me is not an obstacle. equipped with motor Af, it allows the use of old optical AF does not motorized. Fantastic crop in the function room but I would have liked a better definition of9; area in the viewfinder that requires a lot of attention if you want to avoid cutting photos. The battery life is great and if you do not use too the LCD screen enables long working sessions. Excellent double slot sd allowing you to simultaneously save both jpeg, either Raw or, alternatively, to activate the back-up function depending on the final scheda.rnIn excellent reflex that although discontinued, you can still buy new at a good price. Highly recommended especially for those who like me had some nikon afd optical old in the drawer. sent on November 05, 2016 |
Benro iT25 Pros: value for money, size, solidity Cons: none for the price paid Opinion: I purchased it in the physical store to 129 €. I doubt between this and the manfrotto befree but there is no history ... The Benro is much more solid and stable. Even the head with quick coupling type Arca-Swiss is undoubtedly better than that present in manfrotto. Of course we are not at the top but for my needs is definitely a good buy. And 'it presents the hook for ballast and a leg once unscrewed become a monopod. Definitely recommended !! sent on October 28, 2016 |
Nikon AF-S DX 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 G VR II Pros: price, compactness, AF, quality / price ratio Cons: is an objective to be kit, with all the limits and the few advantages that this entails Opinion: Bought together with the D7100 and paid € 94. I use it for a little over a month but I have already had occasion to test it under different conditions. Not very bright, but at this price you can not expect more. Excellent color rendering and sharpness acceptable. Contrary to the assertion by others, a problem of excessive and intrusive flare in backlit conditions not extreme. All in all, I recommend it to those who need to gain experience and does not want to spend too much. sent on December 22, 2015 |
