Valtellinese classe 1979, nonostante la laurea in ingegneria elettrica, ha dirottato tutte le sue attività sulla conoscenza e sulla tutela della montagna: alpinista, corridore, pastore, scrittore, fotografo, divulgatore, dal 2005 è editore di libri e pubblicazioni sul territorio alpino e sulla sua cultura. Dal 2007 dirige la rivista trimestrale di alpinismo e cultura alpina "Le Montagne Divertenti" (www.lemontagnedivertenti.com), di cui è stato ideatore e fondatore.La sua fotografia va di pari passo con il suo modo d'andare in montagna, senza badare alla lunghezza degli avvicinamenti o all'isolamento dei luoghi, e si distingue per scatti in ambienti severi: dalle vette, alle creste o alle pareti anche nelle condizioni meteo più strane.
