Fujifilm EF-X20 Pros: Handy, pocket-sized, very vintage Cons: Something made present in the opinion. Opinion: Already expensive at the time of release in combination (optional) with the XPRO1, today, sept-2023, it is no longer feasible given the crazy prices visible on Ebay. Ed, officially it is obviously no longer available. However, while the XPRO1 in these years of occasional use I liked very much, I can not say so about the flash, having replaced it almost immediately. I also see that the flaw of the batteries is made present by almost everyone as well as the delay in ignition, not feasible at a professional level and badly accepted at an amateur level as is my case. This impression of mine has moreover and immediately, an obsolete value at the start being in any case, out of maximum time. sent on September 26, 2023 |
Fujifilm X-T1 Pros: fully fulfills my expectations. Cons: I don't see any Opinion: Purchased in 2015, it serves very well when needed. My current use follows that of film cameras but they are no longer usable, and with three objectives I would have no other needs. On the other hand, I finished the adventure of the film with a Nikon F2AS obviously not comparable to the XT1 for the electronics of which the latter flaunts, but the photos taken and with a few retouching in the B / W print, are still left to look and appreciate without the slightest criticism. So for the use I personally make the XT1 is just fine. A small note I would eventually reserve to the colors that returns the Fuji but they can certainly be subjective opinions. Fujifilm X-PRO1 Pros: It's a nice complete car. Cons: It is not considered "avant-garde" and where, avant-garde, it is the true paradigm of our existence. Opinion: I personally consider it a current machine. And where - the current one - stands for what you intend to use it for. Of course it is not a machine created for "the pursuit of bodies" but it is especially in the context of reflected images, where it can take a few minutes to take a shot. On the other hand, the ease offered, like mobile phones, to take pictures on image concluding that the best will still be chosen, does not offer the certainty of having "got it right" anyway the right one. The photo, in my humble opinion, is first and foremost a mental composition. sent on August 30, 2020 |
