canon_rf50_f1-8stmCanon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM

Pros: Aluminum bayonet. Really good price. Reduced cost of filters. Light and easy to handle. Better build quality than EF in my opinion.

Cons: Slow AF, chromatic aberration.

Opinion: Those who buy it already know that they are not buying an L series. But despite this, for the price at which it is proposed, it deserves to have it. As described, slow AF (not very suitable for video use). Despite the RF optical park, I always carry it with me. The compactness is crazy. Chromatic aberration present! However I feel compelled to recommend it, especially for the cost & what you get with it :)

canon_rf15-35_f2-8Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8 L IS USM

Pros: Sharpness, almost zero vignetting, stabilization, tropicalization, flare resistance.

Cons: Not comfortable back cap, large size filters.

Opinion: Excellent lens that I use for videos, but especially for landscape photos. Sharp from edge to edge in any focal length. Gorgeous color rendering, wonderful AF. A bit heavy, but not too much. (It also gets dirty easily, as indeed all new RF). Vignetting practically absent, correctable, as well as distortion (in post). I still haven't been disappointed after a year of use.

canon_rf70-200_f2-8lCanon RF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM

Pros: Sharpness, Microcontrast and Color Rendering. Compact, easy to handle. Hard to miss a shot with the AF set.

Cons: Not compatible with any extender. External zoom (really obnoxious) Hood of very bad quality. (The window for filters opens continuously, never stands still). Back cover not comfortable. Lens material more plastic to the touch than EF. (It also gets dirty much more)

Opinion: What can I say, excellent lens definitely. With its pros and cons mentioned above. Coupled with the R5 it has a crazy stabilization. Hard to miss a shot with AF. Compact definitely but I do not like the external zoom. The zoom ring is also much less fluid than the EF. Recommended? Yes! But eye that is really delicate despite the tropicalization.

canon_eos_r5Canon EOS R5

Pros: 45 Mpx, dynamic range, shadow recovery and highlights. Compactness, sensor cover curtain, deadly AF. Wi-Fi. 4K 120 fps. Adjustable screen. Viewfinder really crazy in terms of colors and rendering.

Cons: Price, but adequate to the product. Delicate compared to the 5D I come from. Viewfinder definitely small (the R3 has the perfect one). It tends to overheat in burst or video mode. I would add that it is absolutely necessary to upgrade your PC, memory cards (CFexpress) and a hard disk. Very large and heavy files, especially with the Dual Pixel Raw!

Opinion: Almost a year after its possession, after several years of 5D mk iii, I must say that after getting used to the R5, I find no defects except its delicacy, especially in the materials. Fast and accurate AF with its native (RF) optics. Excellent dynamic range, recovery shadows and high lights crazy. The only thing, the colors, are not those typical of Canon, although with a little retouch you get crazy results. Definitely happy with the purchase, especially for AF tracking vehicles, which is why I use it more often. 45 Mpx of pure pleasure. If I recommend it ? Absolutely! Hard to beat.

manfrotto_befree_carbonfiberManfrotto BeFree Carbon

Pros: Relatively Light, transportable, excellent hooking and good adjustment of cranks

Cons: Lack of hook for ballast, absolutely a must for this type of tripod. Problem shooting vertically, it does not keep me well the Canon 5D. Not suitable for long exposures when there is also some minimal gust of wind.

Opinion: I find myself very often traveling and moving on the plane. Very useful and has little footprint. If I recommend it? For me it's a yes. You Notice the accuracy in the construction and the good quality of the materials. The only thing that could make it even higher is a hook... In my opinion indispensable since it is not very stable with GUIs of wind. It should be considered however that I use a 5D with sometimes the 70-200 2.8.
