Pros: Relatively Light, transportable, excellent hooking and good adjustment of cranks

Cons: Lack of hook for ballast, absolutely a must for this type of tripod. Problem shooting vertically, it does not keep me well the Canon 5D. Not suitable for long exposures when there is also some minimal gust of wind.

Opinion: I find myself very often traveling and moving on the plane. Very useful and has little footprint. If I recommend it? For me it's a yes. You Notice the accuracy in the construction and the good quality of the materials. The only thing that could make it even higher is a hook... In my opinion indispensable since it is not very stable with GUIs of wind. It should be considered however that I use a 5D with sometimes the 70-200 2.8.

Pros: Compact Size and Weight

Cons: Head and plate little welded in case of vertical shooting, no hook for the ballast

Opinion: Excellent Travel Tripod, lightweight and no less important compact, with some flaws and limitations. The Head is not the best for vertical shooting but it is equipped with end groove that better blocks the machine. The plate must be tightened a lot otherwise it slips. Missing the hook to ballast the tripod and it's a real shame!

Pros: Incredibly lightweight, size, material quality

Cons: small and improved ball head, high price, last section of very thin legs

Opinion: Purchased only for demanding hiking trips in the mountains to photograph wildlife, birdlife and some alpine scenery. By the time I dreamed of completing an ultralight kit and lacking a tripod suited to the purpose. My choice has fallen on Manfrotto BeFree Carbon, well knowing and appreciating the quality of this brand and its products. I preferred to replace the small original ball head with a Feisol CB-30D (ArcaSwiss compatible) that offers, on paper, a double capacity (8kg) and has only slightly higher dimensions than the standard one. In return for a greater degree, I had to sacrifice about 100gr. weight and accept the fact that Manfrotto BeFree does not close completely. In fact, while 2 legs adhere perfectly to the central column, the third leg inevitably touches the plate of the new head (thick about 1cm.) And remains slightly open. This does not hurt transportability, but it's fair to report it. With the new head, the Manfrotto BeFree Carbon also reliably supports the Canon 70-200 f2.8 IS II + Canon 5DIV without showing the slightest sign of failure (but I have already used it with Tamron 150-600 G2, and Canon EF400DOII) ;-)

Pros: really light and portable, accompanied at the time of purchase with bag where to insert it perfect for travel and tours: If you have to walk with him in the shoulder hardly feel its weight

Cons: cost, construction, stability

Opinion: I am not entirely happy and confident with my purchase. I got to work even the new Manfrotto MT 055 X PRO3. That dire..costruzione, height, possibility of movements really out comparison allowing light befree. Obvious are two antithetical visions, opposite ... but ... I do not know how to say, when I discarded the Befree me I would have imagined, given the figure does not exactly low .... more professional.

Pros: lightweight, compact, rugged enough to optic landscape, macro or reportage

Cons: relatively expensive, not very solid feet (they tend to slip off)

Opinion: The BeFree Carbon is currently my only tripod; I chose it, after having had the aluminum version, for its extreme lightness, combined with small size and good strength. Obviously not a tripod to super telephoto lenses or other thinking, but for those who make pictures of landscape, macro, reportage and similar is ideal: easy to take with you and rugged enough for optics up to 2 kg + camera. The carbon fiber, in addition to being very nice from the aesthetic point of view, it also has the advantage of not become frosty when using the tripod at very low temperatures.
