sigma_45_f2-8dnSigma 45mm f/2.8 DG DN C

Pros: Exceptional construction, metal lampshade and diaphragms' diaphragms' diaphragms

Cons: Ta Behavior

Opinion: Very strange objective, a real sigma art from f4 up, beautiful bokeh, then from f4 to f2.8 the focus part looks like a lens from 1979, there is in fact a spherical aberration that blurs the contours. On portraits it's not bad, actually. Another great feature is the focus distance, so close that it's almost a macro. A lens that I recommend but be careful of the listed features. The Sigma Art are huge but magnificent and superluminous, it would have been the top a 45 f2 as crisp as an art and even a little bigger than this.

leica_m8Leica M8 / M8.2

Pros: Magic sensor, colors, construction, ergonomics, solidity, croped sensor that eliminates any imperfections at the edges of the lenses.

Cons: Iso up to 640 usable, but once this is taken into account no one.

Opinion: I bought it for the second time (this time the 8.2) in 2020. People don't let you be fooled by these cell cells that sell you today, this machine is STUPENDA even today. Take two shots in the studio at 160 iso and 10Mp the image is more defined and three-dimensional than on my A7iii, if you don't believe it try it too. Once mounted its filter churns out colors directly from the beautiful raw, lightweight files from 10mp printable quietly up to A3, super black and white where you recover improbable shadows and ringing lights, needs beautiful lenses to attach to us, a nice 28 elmarit or a 35 summicron, but it repays you with gorgeous images. We have asked the houses in every way to take pictures of 50000 iso and we have killed the CCD, almost the desire to take another one if this at some point stops, unfortunately the M9 has the problem of sensor corrosion, this one instead does not.

fujifilm_56_f1-2Fujifilm XF 56mm f/1.2 R

Pros: Optical and mechanical quality, bokeh always gorgeous.

Cons: Diaphragms' ghiera too soft, lag manual focus, could dare a little more in the lampshade.

Opinion: It was the first lens I bought with a Fuji, why? Because I like the focal 85 and this lens together with the 35 f1.4 is an optical masterpiece of Fuji, each shot at full opening gives beautiful colors, shades and sharp contours. Unfortunately, as with many other lenses the mechanical part is really backward compared to the competitors, the focus is slow and often inaccurate, the lampshade is shiny plastic and scratches right away, I would suggest a scratch-proof finish or rather a gorgeous lampshade as 35 f1.4.

fujifilm_27_f2-8Fujifilm XF 27mm f/2.8

Pros: Low weight and optical quality

Cons: Mobile front part during focus and noisy autofocus and not very fast

Opinion: A rather strange, atypical lens. I found its optical quality really great, but its internal mechanics quite mediocre, the zzzz-zzzz of the focus did not like it, the manual fire has a rather annoying lag and the front lens moves back and forth without having a lampshade. However, its optical quality along with its mignon dimensions pay off.

sigma_24-105osSigma 24-105mm f/4 DG OS HSM Art

Pros: Very sharp at all the focal points, excellent ergonomics and construction. Careful in detail can convey a feeling of quality.

Cons: Heavy and cumbersome.

Opinion: I bought this lens as a travel all-rounder and it became one of my studio lenses, it really seems impossible, but it's a zoom that manages to equalize the quality of many fixers that I own, it obviously doesn't have their opening, but when I shoot a portrait hardly go down under f4. I had a very good time with this lens and I recommend it to those who use a reflex and are not afraid of weight and clutter while looking for quality. I board the adapter to calibrate the focus as my specimen was very starry and showed all its skills only after a long setup session. A round of applause for Sigma, which is making extraordinary lenses at "possible" prices.

fujifilm_x-t2Fujifilm X-T2

Pros: Used has an honest cost, is small and light, has a nice viewfinder and everything is where it needs to be.

Cons: First of all the battery, working with a machine that does 300 shots I think is IMPOSSIBILE. I use it for work, but like all the fuji that I had heats up a lot and after a few shots, during a session sometimes it is blocked and goes off and on again, or no longer focuses anything.

Opinion: It's a small car outside and big inside, you hold it in your hand like a compact with steroids, the graves are beautiful and very comfortable, you set everything up in a flash. Unfortunately, Fuji does not give me much reliability because often (both she and my H1) the autofocus crashes or impasses. I tried to reinstall the firmware, but it did not solve, turning off and reoning then restarts immediately, I took it as a price to pay to switch from Reflex to mirrorless, after all even the first digital did not work just like a watch, then I trust in Fuji that creates a more stable update. The files it churns out are beautiful and workable, personally I do not use Jpeg that, even if they made the fortune of Fuji, I do not like. I come from the film that I still use with satisfaction and apart from the Acros simulation, the others I find a very cunning means to sell cameras. I always shoot in Raw that I find really good, at the high iso behaves nice and does not vary colors, I use the color grading with each shot and also having a Sony A7 at the end the results are quite similar since then the colors vary them to my liking. In short, to this Xt2 I give full sufficiency, nothing miraculous and nothing dramatic, a great machine to play and mediocre to work.

nikon_60g_microNikon AF-S 60mm f/2.8 G ED Micro

Pros: Sharpness, low weight, ergonomics, hellish focus.

Cons: The lens hood doesn't make me crazy...

Opinion: It is a lens born and conceived for macro, but the focus is quite fast and I also use it for my studio portraits, the modern portraits need more detail than in the past and the macro lenses like this are great for this purpose. The bokeh is really nice and not having pretty much a minimum focus in a portrait I can even get close to it maybe to take a detail of an eye or during a trick. In short, one of my favorite lenses for quality and versatility, I never leave it at home..
