samyang_14Samyang 14mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC Aspherical

Pros: price, sharpness, optical quality

Cons: Usual indication on the ring of incorrect focus

Opinion: I think it is an optics that for the purchase price of the used and for its optical qualities should not be missing in the kit of any photographer, amateur or not. Speaking of a 14mm the defects are rather obvious type distortion, little detail and sharpness at the edges at full aperture. Perfect to experiment and always find new shooting points, very interesting and fun for the Street. Personally I never go below F 5.6 and I focus at 0.7m poor and I always have everything in focus with a more than satisfactory sharpness (even at the edges). Soon I will change it simply to switch to the same focal length but with native attachment for my car but I already know that I will regret it! I reiterate that starting from the purchase price of the used is a highly recommended goal!

canon_rf35_macroCanon RF 35mm f/1.8 Macro IS STM

Pros: Lightweight, stabilized, compact, sharp

Cons: tropicalization

Opinion: I often read that it is not considered a very sharp lens but on the contrary for my experience on the EOS R (will it only be mine?!) I find it really sharp at all apertures with negligible distortion. A real all-round do par excellence that in the end makes me leave all the other goals at home ..... for those who do street, a SHOW! obviously I can not help but note that it could be tropicalized but I understand well that it would have been an L series from at least 1000 €! Brava CANON lens promoted and recommended absolutely!

canon_eos_rCanon EOS R

Pros: Customizable commands, details, micro-contrast, dimensions, MAF

Cons: Flap Card

Opinion: I come from a 5D mk3 and I must say that the differences are many, without obviously speaking of the purely physical/aesthetic aspect that is discounted. The yield of RAw files I like a lot and satisfies me a lot, are extremely detailed (much more than the Mk3) and saturated to the right point; The shades are those to which Canon accustomed us and the machinability is increased while maintaining the same "stamp" 5D. Excellent of course the high ISO yield, now the shots at 12,800 ISO are workable and usable without major problems. The grain that, if you want to leave, emerges is pleasant and recalls the times of film. In general, the greatest value that I have found is the ability to customize every single key and every single ring, everything can be assigned and placed in the right place for each of US!!!! On the MAF I read in the various forums and reviews that is not up to the Sony but I can assure anyone who is in doubt, that for the photographic use of an advanced amateur, and even beyond, is perfect and not wrong a shot!!! Negative, purely personal, is the door of the SD card, seems very delicate and little weather sealed compared to the 5d Mk3..... Let's hope it's just an impression. In conclusion The machine satisfies me, the sensor is at the top of the category and especially fun! I like to carry it around my neck and I like to use manual lenses with MAF with the use of focus peaking... I'm a real blast!!! Today I also upgraded the Firmware to version 1.2.0 and now I also have the Eye Detection in chase mode!!!

canon_50_f1-8stmCanon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM

Pros: Price, brightness, focal, size

Cons: MAF, Materials

Opinion: There is little to write.... the cheapest lens of Canon home with a F 1.8 and compact size... In short, great for those who start and fun for those who are experienced. I had the old series, the 1.8 II, which I bought at the dawn of my passion and many were the satisfactions that I bought also the STM version. The latter I find it improved in every point of view but of course it remains a lens from about €100. At all open it is soft but appreciable, the focus (improved) is always quite slow but once you get it you can use it without any major problems. 50 mm on FF are a good all do though in the street I find them sometimes a little "tight" but great in the portrait where the lens returns good details and a blur from Vera BIG! Beware that on APS-C becomes 80mm then more dedicated to portraits and a little limiting on the rest. Honestly, unlike other reviews, I have not encountered great problems of flare or aberrations and still all solvable with a click in PP. Given the price I do not want to dwell on materials that obviously is all plastic though compared to Old model has gained the metal attachment flange. In conclusion is a great lens that Straconsiglio for those who start and suggest to evaluate to everyone else.

canon_24-70_f4isCanon EF 24-70mm f/4 L IS USM

Pros: Light, compact, tropicalized, STABILIZED, MACRO

Cons: F. 4

Opinion: Use on 5d MK3, apart from all the listed pros I add great sharpness for a zoom already from TA. More than appreciable the macro function. I use it in my business trips where the baggage is restricted to have only one lens all made, robust and quality. The focal 24-70 I think is the most exploitable while, of course, the F. 4 make feel the need for an extra stop even if you immediately realize that to have the weight and price would increase considerably! In fact, I consider it a versatile lens at a fair price that allows in every condition to take home the shot! Excellent resistance to flare and aberrations... In short, a true L series! The stabilization is a great help but if you shoot in times of security I suggest to turn it off, I have the impression that it disturbs a little. I would also recommend it for the Street as long as you use it without its lens hood (a good Bill petal) to make it as cumbersome and flashy as possible even if on a 5d body it looks like an assault weapon.... Having said that I consider it a lens to have therefore the Council absolutely.

tamron_sp35_f1-8vcTamron SP 35mm f/1.8 Di VC USD

Pros: Build quality, sharpness, price, flare resistance, colors, MAF at 20cm!

Cons: AF sometimes undecided, chromatic aberrations

Opinion: I tested this lens on Canon 5d MK3, I find it aesthetically "attractive", solid, compact and generally very well built. Starting with the cons, as already mentioned, I think the autofocus a little ' undecided (as often happens with third optics on canon) in fact sometimes it happens that I have to do a couple of races back and forth before hooking the subject. Other cons are the aberrations, in fact in the backlight are quite obvious but fortunately always eliminable with a click in PP. Moving on to the pros, the 1.8 lens is a soft thread but cmq appreciable while closing a couple of stops becomes a real blade and returns a sharpness, detail and color from true pro lens. In addition to this, the quality that I appreciate most is in portraits the ability to detach the subject from the background to the equal of optics with focal well more pushed, and not only open.... for a 35mm I find it incredible! As a vote I gave 9 for the two cons found otherwise would have been by 10 and definitely of another price range... In conclusion I would buy it back??? Absolutely! I would recommend it??? If you do not have an indispensable need for an F/1.4 absolutely YES!
