Canon RF 100mm f/2.8 L Macro IS USM Pros: Size, Footprint, Sharpness Cons: Maybe the price Opinion: Purchased in June on a pure "whim" in the sense that I had the opportunity to take it during the canon cashback campaign, so I found myself doubly encouraged to take it. Mostly I foolishly thought of using it only as a macro lens, instead I found myself by pure chance taking portraits set in December in Hanoi in Vietnam where I was photographing flowers freehand. To my amazement I took portraits wide open and I found myself with a file full of detail and sharpness that I would never have thought. The focus is lightning fast and precise to the millimeter especially in macros. I don't find it heavy or bulky at all, on the video side, now like all RF lenses it has a detachment and a transition from one subject to another really fantastic. Using it more and more frequently gives great satisfaction. If someone asked me I would recommend it.... it is still an L-series from Canon and is a lens with multiple uses. On the other hand, there is the price, which struggles to go down so paradoxically it holds the market and its value well. sent on 26 Gennaio 2026 |

Canon RF 45mm f/1.2 STM Pros: Weight, shape, aperture size... Cons: Maybe not suitable for all tastes. It's not an L-series (FINALLY) Opinion: Not to say.... a lens designed FINALLY for those who do not live from photography, but love to shoot and not snatch mega graphs and statistics.... With € 500 you can take home a fixed focal length with an extraordinary aperture. Let's get to the photo side.... I tested it in 2 events.... sports and portrait. It drove me crazy, I didn't feel the lack of zoom and that pinch of wide angle that you perceive I like and it excited me. Combined with the R6 mk2 it tracks the subject without problems and even at full aperture the shots are sharp and in focus.... On the video side it is fun and very light, unlike the 35mm 1.4 vlc, it does not have that annoying ring for the focus selector that sometimes you touch involuntarily. It doesn't have a lens hood it's true, but it's certainly available from third parties or easily 3d printed if someone wants. I recommend it to those like me who don't want to spend the madness of the 50 1.2 and not have a heavy fixed to carry in their backpack. sent on 24 Dicembre 2025 |

Canon RF 35mm f/1.4 L VCM Pros: Weight dimensions sharpness Cons: Price, lens designed more for videomakers than for photographers Opinion: At first glance it doesn't look like an L-series lens, but as soon as you start shooting you understand the quality. The focus is precise and fast, pleasant the blurry. Surely the weight is not a problem, if anything the "discomfort" lies in the iris selector and the consequent ring, which in my opinion are too close to the camera. You can see that this lens is built mainly for the video side because it is really a manna in transition and it is beautiful and returns shots worthy of a 35mm. At the moment I have not perceived the lack of the stabilizer, it must also be said that at this moment it is the only fixed lens at F1.4 which can make many turn up their noses, but the pros are the weight and a few hundred € less than the various F 1.2 Unfortunately like all RF lenses the prices are really high. I don't know if it will have a price drop in the coming months, but now all fixed lenses exceed € 2000 like nothing. sent on 26 Agosto 2024 |

Canon EF 17-40mm f/4.0 L USM Pros: L series, lightweight, great value for money Cons: huge hood, slight distortion even if it is not a problem Opinion: Excellent lens that despite the years has a fabulous value for money. Ideal for landscapes and street because f8 on is a blade. At 17 there is a very slight distortion which is not at all troublesome. Conversely mounts a huge hood and suffers a bit of flare. In my opinion it is a great lens that with the new release of the 16-35 mark III is used at a price very competitive. sent on 12 Settembre 2016 |

Canon 70D Pros: Aps-c, burst, wifi, adjustable LCD, AF, according to lighting displays, LCD touch Cons: Knob controls small, key basket. Opinion: L I bought more than a month ago and is a fantastic car to use. The video quality is nothing short of fantastic. The quality of the files is great, the menu operation is very intuitive thanks to the swivel LCD SCHemo, but especially TOUCH. The estate Iso high for me is not a problem because they use them or when I do are easily modified PP. The downside is the menu key and the key for me in the trash that are somewhat small, a few millimeters more would not hurt. For the rest I can only settle this beautiful 70d. When combined with optical L series brings out the best of himself. Those looking for a APS-C and choose the 70d does not remain at all disappointed. sent on 22 Settembre 2015 |

Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM Pros: Lens quality, clarity, weight, size, material quality, manageability, robustness Cons: lens hood Opinion: Honestly I think it's one of the best lenses that Canon produces for more than 10 years. Sharpness I think is the strong point of this lens, even at magnifications not excessive quality does not decay. Not for nothing is the Canon 70-200 is one of the objectives of reference for various kinds fotografici.rnL'unica sour note so if you can define is the hood that is nothing short of scandalous. A plastic tube that is aesthetically very ugly and cumbersome sent on 10 Settembre 2015 |
